Part 2: Matter of trust

Morning...

Ricky, Cyclops, and Peck were huddle on the hey asleep, small yet quiet snores being heard in the room. The large door opened as Clay poked his head in.

Clay: Good morning boys.

All three jolted a bit as they woke up.

Peck: *waking up* Waza-morning?

Clay: *walks in with a plate* Yes, morning. You three seem to have had a nice sleep.

Ricky: *got up;stretching* Yeah, thanks for the room. *looks up* So, their ready for us?

Clay: Almost, *places plate down* First things first, gotta have a good meal before a test right?

All smiles seeing the various fruits on the plate.

Cyclops: Thanks Clay, *takes one;bites*.

Peck: So, you and your friends are first?

Clay was impressed by the Cardinal turned Longma Rusherz' deduction.

Clay: Why yes, how did you know?

Peck: Chronological order of the series. First you guys, then the Jade Mountain team, and finally the lost Continent team.

Ricky: We did alot of research before coming here.

Clay had to laugh again, he was really liking these beings.

Clay: I will admit, I have taken a liking to you three. I do hope you do well with these test we are giving you.

Cyclops: Thanks Clay, we're going to do our best.

Sunny: I have to thank the Icewings for this.

Sunny was looking at the small gemstones her claws, still surprised she was able to get this.

Tsunami: *walks over* I must say, I'm still surprise we were able to retrieve such objects.

Sunny: I know, you should of seen the reaction to when I told them why. It's..astounding really; a human from another world, powerful beings, and to top it off we're characters in a book.

She nodded, her own head still wrapping over the information they had gotten last night. Glory flew in, landing fast as she walked over.

Glory: I am here and so is Starflight. Clay is currently bringing them over after they eat.

Sunny: *smiles* Wonderful, Thanks again Glory for staying a bit longer for this.

Glory: *smiles* Of Course, will say this has made things quite exciting. I mean, heroes form another world? There's something you don't hear or seen everyday.

That got all of them smiling as they walked off.

Bit later...

Clay lead Ricky, Cyclops and Peck to the room where his friends were waiting.

Ricky: So, is it just you guys?

Clay: Yes, we figure we group off for this so that way things don't get to crowded. As well as give our own opinions.

Cyclops: Got it.

Clay: Here we are.

All four stopped at a large jeweled embedded door, Clay opening it and walking in.

Ricky and the two Rusherz walked in, seeing the five heroes of the first arc sitting around and in the center of the room was a circle ring of gem stones.

The three walked to the center as the door closed.

Sunny: Hello boys.

Ricky: Hey there. Me and my friends are ready for whatever you got planned for us.

Starflight: Very good, we were wondering if you were prepared or not.

Peck: We're ready for anything.

All five of them nodded as Sunny touched the largest of the gem stones, the gems glowing and now shining bright around the three heroes.

Glory: For this first test, we are going to ask you some Questions. BE HONEST.

Cyclops: Alright...I'm not gonna like some of these questions am I?

Sunny: First one; What is a Guardian? What do they do?

Ricky: Well, a Guardian is a person who protects the core, the energy of the universe. Me and my friends keep an eye out for trouble and when there is, we head to the location.

Clay: You mean like how you all came here?

Ricky: Right!

The gems glowed softly at the response, making the five nod.

Starflight: Very well, next one; How DID you become a Guardian.

Ricky: *blushes with Peck* Oh boy it's uh..well it's a interesting story.

Cyclops quietly chuckled at the two's reaction.

Ricky: So I was tricked by this guy named Wildcard-

Peck: His really name is Warren and he was the son of the scientist who made the HOK that is now a floating head called RZ from tech called AI.

Ricky: *nods* Right, so I was with a rival youth football team and had a PRETTY intense competitive steak. Wildcard tricked me and my dad he trained me, turned me into some-what of a..no idea what to call it but I was tricked and he captured my dad in the RV we traveled to New Orleans in.

Peck: So he's fighting Ish and Ash is stuck with his dad, Ish and Ash are Guardians as well, and Ash and Ricky's father are trapped in a runaway RV heading straight to the Bayou where the alligators were. You panicked-

Ricky: INTERNALLY. So that brought me back to my senses and me and Ish go and save my dad. I fell really bad so I help him, Ash and a few others get info about Wildcard. I found the NFLR that Wildcard made, that helps us transform, and brought it back to the HOK.

Peck: Ran into him while he, Ish and RZ were talking. Ricky told RZ his idea to capture Wildcard and I agreed, Wildcard sadly manage to escaped but Ricky became a Guardian and the others got back just in time...Lib also crewed my head off for scaring everyone with that.

Ricky: SO yeah, got tricked, mind returned, became a Guardian.

...All five looked at the two with VERY CONFUSED looks on their faces as Cyclops took deep breaths to calm himself. The gems glowed the same soft glow in response.

Starflight:...Just, where to begin with what you both just said.

Clay: I think we got our answer either way. Though I would like details on that tale another time.

Ricky: Got it.

Glory: My turn.

Cyclops: Lay it on us.

Glory: My question...why do you Rusherz live on Earth? Your not from there are you?

Ricky bit his lip as he looked down at Peck and Cyclops, both having downcast looks on their faces.

Cyclops: We're not...

Sunny: What happened?

Peck: Sudden Death, once a part of Lord Zatu inner circle, did a final attack on us. He was getting close to succeed, and we did not want him to win.

Cyclops: So, we did the last resort...we took the core and ran, destroying our home planet in the process.

The girls gasped as the gem glowed softly, all dragons looking solemn at the sad truth they were told.

Glory: I am, very sorry for asking such a touchy question.

Cyclops: You wanted to know, it's not the first nor last time someone ask us that.

Tsunami: If i may, can i a question.

Ricky: Sure?

Tsunami took a breath, in and out as she sighed.

Tsunami: This Lib, is he you Rusherz leader?

Ricky: Liberty? He is, part of a three run show back on Earth.

Cyclops: Liberty the Giant Rusher not only leads all of us, he leads the NFC. Stampede the Bills Rusher leads the AFC, and Freefall the Seahawk Rusher takes over if one or both of them are not available.

Peck: He and the Guardians agreed on this venture we're all doing right now.

The gems glowed softly once again, Tsunami smiling.

Tsunami: Well I hope to meet all of your friends soon. *to Clay* Last one Clay.

Clay nodded as he sat up straight.

Clay: Be honest with us, HOW DANGEROUS IS THIS LORD ZATU?

The heroes got serious as the stood strong.

Ricky: A THREAT. He has followers that there are those who are not flesh and blood anymore. And he is slowly getting allies even without knowing it.

Peck: He wants to rule all the universes, all life, and all beings. He doesn't care how or if blood spills, he already proved he doesn't care taking out our kind.

Cyclops: And he certainly will do anything to stop any hero stopping him, he wants us Rusherz DEAD and the Guardians and those who help us as slaves.

...THE FIVE DRAGONS SNARLED IN ANGER HEARING THE DESCRIPTION, the gems softly glowing one more time showing the fire in their eyes.

Starflight: Their all telling the truth, if this Zatu thinks he will win HE'S A FOOL.

Sunny nodded as she turned the large gem, the glow fading as she stood up.

Sunny: I think we can trust them. I mean, those three got experience.

Clay: Not to mention they have strong hearts, can't help but be impressed.

Tsunami: I agree, *looks down* You have passed our test.

All three: *shock* REALLY?!

Glory: Yes, this trail was to see if you all were telling the truth. You all have, but..granted we were not expecting how truly serious the situation is.

Sunny: *smiles* But you have proven yourself in your honesty.

All three cheered, Ricky hugging the Two Rusherz making the dragon smiles.

Clay: *chuckles* I do prefer seeing you smile now knowing what we know now. The next trail is when the sun is overhead us, for now rest.

Ricky: Thanks you guys.

The three went off as the dragons watched on.

Sunny: Oh boy, have no idea how the others are reacting to this. We still got Vulture, Chameleon and the Invincible Lord to still think about, NOW we have a universal foe as well.

Clay: Same as us, but this proves we can trust this human and these Rusherz. We have another human on our side alongside Wren, Leaf and Ivy, let us keep that close to our hearts.

...

Moonwacther opened her eyes nodding, as she walked off to tell her friends on what she had learned.

Moonwacther: It appears evil is even out in the stars. Even so, that evil shall be quenched by the might and light of the heroes...*smirks* I do believe Peril is going to have fun testing their abilities.

She walked down the halls, allowing the sounds of nature to fill the room.
