I have had trouble getting into my page for the past 2 weeks. I had to change the password thats why ive not been writing.

Chapter 6

Classes went without a problem, though Bella still struggled to keep up and needed help so was going to ask Connor for help if he could anyway. So after the last class of the day she asked if he would help and he agreed to it which made her feel better and not worried about her grades failing as he was doing alright. "You could come to my place I could take you there now" he suggested back in the fancy car.

"Okay sure, I best text dad" she said pulling out her mobile.

The drive was quick as he drove fast she thought reminding her slightly of the Cullens...'don't go there' she scolded herself.

The workmen were still about as they pulled up outside, "looks like they are home for once, someone has to stay with the work men" he said as they got out the car and Bella was even more surprised to see her dad sitting talking to Angel and a thin man with white hair and a long black leather jacket and Darla. They were talking away as they came in. "Hey" she said surprised.

"Hey Mr Angel has been telling me stories of his past, they are interesting what are you doing here?" he asked.

"Connor is going to help me catch up with school work as I am a bit behind,"

"We'll be in my room" said Connor.

"Leave the door open buddy, I've got a gun" said Charlie smiling.

"We can hear better than you" Angel replied.

"Oh that must be hard" Charlie asked, sitting back down with a can of beer.

"Not really it takes a couple of months to get used to for me it did anyway" Darla chipped in the conversation.

She followed Connor upstairs and a long the corridor a bit, "this is my room, it's not finished yet" he said going in and showing her a rather large room with a king size bed, desk, wardrobe and boxes about the place.

"This is big" she said rather surprised again.

"The bathroom is through that door, the shower and toilet works at least" he said.

"Cool and your own bathroom, I have to share"

"Every bedroom has their own bathroom and that must be a nightmare, am going to buy a couch as well needs more chairs, its more like a hotel rather than a home" sitting on the bed.

"Nice" she said, rather impressed, feeling at ease with him and 'he's easy to talk to' she thought sitting down, totally un aware of the truth. When there was a knock at the door and Charlie peered round it.

"They have gone out hunting and am about to go to the pub for dinner even though it's not a Thursday, do you both want to come?"

"Yes, we'd love to come" Connor replied just realising that he was rather hungry as it had been a long time since lunch time and Bella was rather needing something to eat as well. Connor 'mainly wanted to know the towns people so they would appear normal', he thought as they followed Charlie out of the room. And as they were leaving so were the workmen for the day again so Connor had to lock the double doors which 'he didn't see the point as there was nothing worth stealing apart from his laptop' He thought 'he was doing it cause of Charlie being in with the police and he was worried about him telling them there secret' as they headed to town slowly so it took a little longer to get there and in a police car with him in the back he wondered 'if people would think he was being arrested or something, but with Bella in the front seat maybe not' and the thought made him feel less nervous about it'

He had been right Charlie introduced him to the towns people in the pub as they ordered and they seemed friendly enough and they all wondered where he was staying as soon as he said it was the old mansion needing lots of work done they were clearly surprised but seemed to accept that they must be well off in money to afford such a lot of work.

Meanwhile Bella was starting to enjoy Connors company it was taking her mind off things she thought eating her burger, 'she rather liked his parents they were different from the Cullens' she thought.

After dinner Charlie took Connor home then he drove them back home. It took a while to get there and she nearly fell asleep in the car. "We're home" said Charlie eventually just as she was dozing off. Heading up to her room she told him she was going to bed as she felt very tired.

"Okay" he replied heading to the living room.

Back in her room, Bella kicked off her shoes and flung herself on her bed without bothering to change after giving her teeth a quick brush and her face a wash and fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.

The next morning, she awoke still dressed and yawing she got up gathering up a change of clothes and headed to the bathroom. Her dad had already gone to work early. She had 'never even heard hm leave' she thought. She decided to want more curls inn her hair today so she got her stufff and went down stairs and waited until it heated up and curled her hair. A short while or so late rafter breakfast Connor showed up and she went to the hall way to get her jacket and bag together, and headed out.

As the morning went on in class, Bella was surprised to receive a phone call from her dad in the middle of class when the receptionist came in. Following the nice lady to where the phone was Bella was shocked to hear her dad sounding upset as he told her there was a fire at home and he was waiting for her in the parking lot.

"Oh my god" she said hanging up and hurrying back to class to tell the teacher she had to leave due to a fire. Even Connor was rather shocked.

When she saw her dad in the car outside with Mr Angel in the front who looked rather worried. "How did it happen is the house badly damaged?"

"You left the hair straighteners on, if Angel had not been hunting near by he wouldn't have smelled the smoke the whole house would have burnt down, it was in the living room the fire" as he drove them to his house said Charlie as she put her belt on.

"We have to stay with Mr Angel until it's sorted"

"Oh I 'm so sorry I must have forgotten to turn it off"

So for the rest of the morning was spent looking at the damage she had caused and 'could still smell the smoke' and getting as much stuff from her room she helped pack stuff in the car as well as Angel who helped.

By dinner time her and Charlie were getting their rooms sorted out at Mr Angels home, and they were both grateful having some place else to stay or it would have been a hotel she thought looking about the bare room as it never had any furniture except a bed and chair so her stuff was on the new carpet. Darla and Mr Angel said they could stay as long as they liked.
