A\N: Sup! This fanfic was co-written with a friend named Zecske05 who was just a silly RP at first but then it became a lot of fun. I hope this is good enough guys, I tried to make this interesting and fixed the errors. Hope it rocks your interest and asks for more.

When I first started, things were pretty simple, stay in one place long enough to get some careless tourists or travelers, and then steal from them. The dessert was a tough place at first but with the time you get used to it and learn to adapt to whatever lifestyle it's presented to you, learning how to fight was pretty cool, I thought being the best bandit and fighter in those parts was great, but maybe It was just a big fish in small aquarium sort of thing...then again, never really kill anyone while being a bandit, and if my prey was not a pushover there was only a matter of bringing them down.

But I'm getting off track. One day after meeting a certain monkey-tailed boy, my life went through some pretty crazy spins, trained with great masters, and reached a level of power that my young self would be green with jealousy. Heh...I would love to give him some piece of advice though, for the future is a merciless bitch.

However, what hit me harder than any blow from an opponent, was to try and swallow my inadequacy when trying to help my friends with the threats that come to earth. For you see, no matter how hard I train, the enemies are just way too out of my league, one error, and then boom! Lost completely my chance to step it up.

It's not like the level of power I currently possess is not good enough for me, I'm proud of myself for getting this far, but it would be a lie to say is 'enough' for whatever comes to threaten the planet; Staying on the sidelines letting Goku and the other Saiyans to deal with all of it was very frustrating.

Until I met him...

"Hello there! Having a good morning so far?" He said with a cheerful tone.

That morning when I woke up, someone was knocking on the door. Still half asleep I went to open up only to see someone I never met before. He had short and white wavy silky hair which didn't seem to fit that well with the clear tone of skin, the pieces of clothing were that of a black hoodie and blue jean pants with a pair of red running sneakers, on one of his hands there was a long beautifully crafted staff with a green orb. His stature was maybe slightly taller than his friend Krillin, the features from his face looked quite young as well, but the look on his green eyes gave off a mystery vibe going on.

Yamcha rubs his eyes with one hand before speaking "Uhh...Can I help you?" He asked, unsure of who that was.

"Howdy there friend, don't mind me just gonna move inside for a little bit"

The stranger said before getting inside, Yamcha barely had time to react and come with an answer to that and just stood there in confusion for two seconds before reacting.

"Eh!? Hey wait just a moment" He said looking at the stranger.

"Nice place you got here, not too big but cozy and surrounded by some fauna for that touch of nature"

"Oh, thanks this was my-hey! No changing the subject, who are you, and why just barge inside like that?"

"I didn't barge, I walked with the elegance of a swan of course" He sits on the couch "Nice to meet you Yamcha"

Yamcha looks at the guy with confusion on his face, how did that guy know his name? Maybe he should ask for more information before doing anything else.

"How do you know my name? I have no idea who you are"

"Of course not, this is the first time we meet, you can call me Melvin! And I know so many things, lots of things! For that matter" The being said while floating in the air in a cross-legged position "Aaaaand I! Have come here to give you a deal"

"Ah...Deal?" Yamcha asked, still feeling a bit confused.

Whoever this so-called Melvin was, he could not shake the feeling that he was somehow more than meets the eye. The guy looked like a human but at the same time not? His ki didn't seem to be that high but it was also mixed with something quite alien hidden somewhere.

"Ok let's say that I will listen to you, even though you clearly trespassed my boundaries, what is that deal you seem to be speaking off?"

Looking at the black-haired man the white-haired dude of mysterious nature lets out a grin "Would you like to be challenged to the limit and rewarded?"

"...Huh!?"

"I am speaking a different language dude? You're a fighter, right? Training to be strong and fight the occasional bad guy with a group of other strong dudes and one of them does more than everyone else right?" Melvin said while getting on the floor in a normal position.

"I...ahn...y-yeah? I guess you can summarize it like that?"

Yamcha was not really sure how he felt having his life put it in such a simple way, but probably it was like that? The more important aspects maybe.

"Great! In case you're still having a hard time wrapping your mind around this because you have too much common sense, I came here for you and offer this chance of acquiring some of the coolest shit ever. Like Power! Technique! Actual training that puts you to the test instead of breaking workout machines and feeling like you hit the rock bottom of limitation" Melvin spoke while spinning around like a whirlwind in excitement.

"Wait what?! But...why? This is so sudden and...So many questions" The martial artist said grabbing his head.

"Why? Oh, why do all the sentient beings in the universe do what they do? The answer is, PURE BOREDOM!" Melvin said slapping his face with both hands "When things become mundane is only logical to look for new thrills. Now just imagine the possibilities of what I'm offering here my dear human. Aren't, you tired of how SOME people get boosts in power as fast as their eating habits?" He said, giving off hints of what he knew.

"Ok, there is no way your human, who exactly are you per say?" Yamcha's head was starting to hurt trying to understand all this.

"Who? Me? I came from the stars if that wasn't obvious by now. And...you know what? Fuck it, you can say I'm somewhat of a Fallen Angel" He answered his question while smiling with ease.

"Oh is that so? Why didn't you say s-"

The human line of thought took a frenetic stop when hearing that last part. He starts to sweat quickly as his brain started to storm with more questions.

"A-An angel? You mean like someone above King Kai or something?"

The only deities Yamcha knew were Kami the earth protector, Yemma when he died once and King kai of the north who he trained with. And this Melvin character just told him he is an angel, a fallen angel? What did that even mean? Was he from the afterlife where the good souls go or were he a bad guy because he said fallen? Usually, these sorts of things happened with Goku.

"Don't look so surprised, you see new things that blow your mind away every day, the echelon of gods isn't that cool though, more of a big bummer. Everyone and their responsibilities shackling everything, watching and watching and wha- you get the drill" Melvin said while narrowing his eyes to the side.

'Man...What should I do? Ok calm down man, just...try asking more questions' "This is way more of what it thought would happen to me today but...why exactly me? Surely you had others to choose to offer...that deal?" He said still having a hard time trusting.

"Truth be told? You are an Underdog" Melvin pointed out.

"I...am?" Yamcha tilted his head.

"I'm comparison to your amount of training with the other humans you can say you were still the third strongest around, not that I think the three-eyed guy is one hundred percent human though"

"You know about Tien?"

Ignoring his question the 'Angel kept going'

"I watched your battle history and see you worked hard but...I gotta say Oof! No matter how much you train to the point of not knowing what else to try out, you seem to lose quite a lot, sometimes due to cockyness"

The orb in his staff glowed showing off scenes from his battles against Jackie Chun, Tenshinhan, and Kami while possessing a human. Memories of his easy defeat by the old master, painful one through now-former assassin and the somewhat humiliating by Kami.

Blushes in embarrassment "T-They were just stronger than me that's all"

"Yeah...you always seemed to fight those stronger and more experienced than you right? Have you learned from those defeats?"

"Yes! Of course, I did"

Melvin shows more scenes from the orb, this time Yamcha being bear-hugged by the Saibamen before the imminent explosion. That made the guy flinch almost like his mom busted him lying.

"You seem to have a case of bad luck. Did you know the most basic of fighting tips is to not drop your guard until you're one hundred percent sure of your opponent's defeat?"

"Ugh..." The man looks down, gritting his teeth.

"Everyone else has their path for power. Some of them have transformations or skills from their species, but some have at least enough spotlight to be remembered for what they did"

"Are you pitying me then?" Yamcha said looking at him seriously "Because I am not asking for that"

"Pity? Haha of course not, I like beings like you Yamcha. Even though you are somewhat cocky and you don't have a lot of wins, you're stronger than any human could ask for. After all, you have a pair of wishing orbs there, you could just wish to be stronger or at least half Saiyan, yet you didn't" Melvin said with a smirk, knowing about the star balls.

Yamcha gasps in surprise at how he knows about Saiyans and the dragon balls.

"You enjoy fighting to the point a normal life becomes boring, and yet when you come back to the fighting world you just get knocked down by the hundreds of times stronger than your enemy. What a conundrum right?"

'C-Could this guy be the real deal?'

He thought, left perplexed at everything that the so -called angel had said and showed him so far. Information that he never had said or shared with someone besides his circle of friends, now he just spat out all of it as if it was common knowledge.

"I won't force your hand, this is just an offer but if I may be blunt; you have two options. You can accept the offer in which will allow you to train more efficiently and unlock new power within you and be remembered not as the strongest in the universe but someone who steps it up when needed OR...you can just say no and eventually retire from the fighting frontline, be forgotten as your power makes no difference, leaving all the problems and enemies to your Saiyan friends, Is not like they are not going to fuck it up right?"

Yamcha listened to all his words carefully, they somehow stirred up something inside of him. He trusted his friends, was he jealous at how powerful the Saiyans could be? A little bit, but it was not venomous jealousy. But then again there were a few problems that were not flowing through his head after the Cell Games.

One, Goku gave Cell a senzu bean for the sake of a fair fight, which in everyone's mind it was a very unlogical move for just pride. Now he was dead and said that he was the reason why so many bad guys wanted him dead.

Two, Gohan had to be pushed far to unlock his power since he didn't like fighting and probably, just probably...he would not be training as much, not without someone reminding him of it, the guy was more of brains instead of muscles.

And Third but no less, he had heard from Bulma that some of their friends got together, that Vegeta seemed to be in a slump and stopped training less and less. Maybe he felt bad that his rival was gone and that his son surpassed him? That guy's pride was always bigger than his power so it's possible.

'Now that I think about it, a lot of things went wrong. We fought the wrong androids, Goku got a heart virus, that Cell came from a different timeline and did all of that trouble...while I...what did I do?'

He remembers being impaled by and almost dying, how he almost turns to a pulp in the harsh gravity of 300G, how miniatures of the bug monster broke his arm like a twig. Becoming as strong as he is right now took work, to the point where he had o idea what to do next if more power was needed...

"So let me get this straight...you are a supposedly fallen angel, you got bored of whatever you were doing and decided to help me be stronger because I am as you say, the underdog of the group you somehow seem to know a lot about?" He said, making all details clear.

"Yea! Good to know you are finally getting" Melvin said with a finger gun motion.

Yamcha just sighs still trying to understand the edges of this conversation, but denying a supposed deity would be bad right? Coming this far even if he was saying that he had an interest in him because he was weak and everyone else was not, quite...insulting but maybe this was like he said a chance.

"Fine, I accept your offer but...can I still ask you a few questions to understand more about you?"

"Alright by me, but I will keep a few secrets just for the sake of saying them later Ok?" He said climbing on his staff like a surfboard "I see you in a week then"

Just like that he went through the window and flew away quickly disappearing on the horizon in half a second.

"Kami...what are the probabilities of all this being a dream?" Yamcha blinked in the unease of his choice with the stranger.
