A\N: Last two chapters were just me showing Yamcha's feat and theoretical power level on the Cell Saga, plus the one that shows how he is going to train on the Time Chamber to improve what he has gained on the challenges so far.

Let me ask you guys one more question...do you prefer Pokemon or Digimon? Would you like to see one of them around here or would it be better if not?

During meditation, you focus your attention and eliminate the stream of jumbled thoughts that may be crowding your mind and causing stress. This process may result in enhanced physical and emotional well-being, every seasoned martial artist that is worth a lick of spit does what they do best every day. Train hard and diligently, the road to the unattainable dream of becoming the strongest one there is, some would do it until their bodies broke, others would give up and slow down but with less drive, others would rather teach someone with more talent.

While Yamcha didn't have some sort of deadline that forced him to train as hard and fast as possible, it's not like he wasn't taking it seriously. In that magical and mysterious chamber, he trained Yoga and Qigong with some of the most difficult mixes for fighters when training...A patient hard worker. While using the Thinking Cap he spends his days working with the positions to be in perfect sync to his movements, and for everyone that needed focus on breathing it would be a good time to train Hamon in the process. Focus and balance were the main necessities, it looked like he was just doing poses, breathing exercises, or staying still too long in one way but he could feel it.

The vital energy of Ki flowing through his body, not like a faucet that was open to unleash all of its raw power but more of a controlled force of nature that intricately filled and ran the inner parts of the fighter's body. It was different, relaxing, yet difficult, all about control of one's body. Rather than trying to increase his power by doing some spartan training routine, Yamcha would focus on techniques and fighting styles he would like to get around. The first step was to train until the body was soaked in sweat because that way it would be easier when meditating.

Meditation was more of Piccolo's sort of thing, he did it only when doing image training. But this particular art is actually more difficult to master than one might think, to have a clear and empty mind, to have control over your thoughts and what they represent, feelings or ideas, and complete control of your thoughts and clarity. Whenever he could use the Cap it was on his head, he did it without it too and saw the difference, but only the training that was mostly not the heavy ones with the danger of moving too much and letting it fall and break.

The dense atmosphere and increased gravity acted as formidable obstacles, making each movement a challenge. Yet, with every pose, breath, and posture, he could feel his body adapting, muscles growing stronger, and his connection with his inner self deepening. The mindful coordination of breath with movement became second nature, enhancing his focus and synchronicity.

The Yoga exercises enriched his training arsenal with improved breathing techniques, core strength, flexibility, and heightened mental clarity. He could feel the difference in every stance, every punch, and every dodge. The stretches and poses pushed his limits, the white void around him serving as a serene backdrop for his newfound mastery of body and breath.

Transitioning to Qigong, Yamcha embraced the fluidity and grace of the exercises. Each animal-inspired movement allowed him to channel his energy in unique ways, tapping into the flow of his life force. The Yì Jīn Jīng exercises granted him muscle strength and robust tendons, while Wu Qin Xi deepened his connection with his internal organs, enhancing their functions. The Shi Er Duan Jin and Daoyin Yang Sheng Gong Shi Er Fa brought harmony and balance to his entire system, enhancing his overall well-being.

As he practiced Mawangdui Daoyin and Da Wu, Yamcha felt his stamina and flexibility reach new heights. The movements, carefully designed to stimulate energy flow through meridians, not only strengthened his physical body but also revitalized his inner energy, boosting his vitality.

Throughout his training, the ornate clock on the chamber's ceiling diligently marked the passage of time.

The one year of solitude with nothing but himself, the cap, and all his ideas for training that came to mind besides what he already had. It was starting to feel like so much fun, sometimes when he relaxed he would even talk to himself, not like a crazy person but more of as...venting, no one was hearing it anyway. Days, Weeks, Months, and then finally...a year has passed, one whole year in that chamber with dense air and temperature changing weirdly through heat and cold plus the ten times gravity.

...

"Hehe! Still got it" Yamcha said, finishing with the swing of his sword before sheathing it back.

The time spent there was quite harsh, lucky him he was good at cooking so at least a good meal was not the problem. No wonder even Goku who was strong enough to beat King Piccolo back in the day only spent one month, this place is dangerous for the unprepared. His Gi was still in good condition after the training, he felt a sense of relaxation through the body like it was re-energized, some things were incomplete, so many ideas to try out but most of it? Pretty good.

When getting out of the Time chamber with his items Yamcha stretched his body out and felt the air through his face, normal air which did not fluctuate so much, it was still dense since they were so high in the air but that was not a big deal of course. He didn't leave right off the bat, thanking Popo and Dende for allowing him to use the chamber. It was weird, for them it was just a day but for him a whole year, he was one year older now, something like this should indeed only be used twice.

'This might sound a bit cliche, but I feel sort of different after that one year. It was tough but quiet it, only me and my thoughts, so many ideas I tested out, can't wait to try more. That hat illuminated the way'

Powering up and cloaking his body in ki, Yamcha skyrocket downwards and in the direction of his house. Maybe it was time to tell Puar what he had been doing so far, at first he thought it would be too weird to try and explain but the best course of action was to eventually, be as blunt as possible and try to get used to it. Leisurely taking his pace, he started to see his place from afar, it felt good to be back because while for others it was one day only, for him it felt like a long trip and now he was back home.

"Ah, my sweet and cozy cottage in the forest. Boy I'm feeling pretty good today"

Just before Yamcha was about to touch the doorknob he heard noises coming from the other side.

"I told you, I just want to know where he is. Do I look like a thief to you?" Melvin's voice could be heard.

"No way! You're just a stranger who got inside our house, go away or I'll call the police!" Puar's voice was heard too.

"You don't usually see cops coming this far, I bet they get lost and take forever to arrive"

Yamcha signs hearing the bickering between his longtime friend and the so-called instructor for his training and challenges.

'The day was starting so nicely though'

Seeing how things would have to go, Yamcha decided to open the door, getting inside and seeing Melvin in his Abode, apparently arguing with his long-time friend Puar. He made his presence known as he called out.

"Whoa there little buddy, he is a friend, not a stranger, And in any case I don't think calling the police would do any good" Yamcha said, getting their attention.

Puar noticed the voice and noticed his friend and what he said, though he asked "Wait! Do you know him? Who is he?"

The Desert Bandit answered, "Well this is gonna sound a little bit weird, but he told me he is an angel, but after some problems, his status currently is of Fallen Angel….he sort of likes to do his own thing. I forgot to tell you but he has been helping me get through some blocks I have been having" Yamcha explained.

The shape-shifting cat looked at him in puzzlement and inquired "Blocks? What do you mean? What is going on?".

Yamcha sighed as he made his way to the living room, sitting in front of Melvin who just grinned. The angel quickly stuck his tongue childishly at Puar, who growled and had a tick mark behind his right ear.

He stated, "Melvin's been helping me grow as a martial artist in ways that I couldn't do it on my own…" He sighs before continuing" He says I'm an underdog, but one that has more promise than Krillin and Tien if polished right"

Melvin added with conviction "Technically Tien doesn't necessarily count as one hundred percent human since he is a descendent of...I want to say, aliens? But I'm not sure about the three eye clan"

Yamcha chuckled wondering if his friend was Half alien or something since he was basically the only one with three eyes seen on earth or perhaps the three eyes people were part of this planet but got extinct? No point pondering about that now.

Puar was truly perplexed, wondering how this came to be. He looked to his long-time friend and asked "But Yamcha, I thought you quit fighting after so many...well, you know..."

The black-haired martial artist sighed and answered, "It's okay Puar. I've come to accept what has been done to me and almost accepted to put aside fighting completely since It was depressing not being able to help and always being defeated. But thanks to Melvin, I'm starting to really come to grips with my potential and I also got some pretty cool tricks up my sleeve. I'm going to be the strongest earthling I'm sure of it" Yamcha said with conviction.

The Fallen Angel cast his glance at the magical cat and stated firmly "There are many harsh truths that Yamcha is learning; about himself, about fighting, what it means to fight & also what it means to really be innovative when it comes to techniques and styles of fighting. He has just started, but he shows remarkable progress and potential"

Puar looked to Yamcha and asked, "Yamcha… are you sure you want to go through this again? You went through so much already"

Yamcha had been silent the moment Melvin started to speak, absorbing the words from his new friend/mentor. After hearing Puar's question, he sighed once more and looked his companion in the eyes.

The floating cat who went to A school that teaches Shapeshifting was taken aback by the fire of determination and conviction showing in his eyes and facial features.

He answered, "Yes, I do Puar. I had no idea of what could be done if I just went through a different path, This is something that I will see through it ALL the way to the end. Goku is gone and even though we still Have Vegeta and Gohan, Cell has shown us that sometimes being a super Saiyan is not gonna be enough, this is my home, and I intend to defend her as best I can"

Puar was a loyal friend to Yamcha through good and bad times, he never doubted his efforts in becoming stronger but the blue cat always felt saddened when his friend so hard worked efforts were completely destroyed when a wall ten times bigger than the latest one arrived, putting it all to waste.

He is going to give up, Puar thought for sure that was going to be the end. Why would Yamcha keep on training hard as a martial artist? He reached his peak, there wasn't any other way...the enemies were otherworldly, but he seemed to be so fiery right now, the floating feline could only wonder what this mysterious man said or done for Yamcha's hope to be reignited.

"You seem curious, anything in mind you want to ask me?" Melvin looked at Puar with a smirk.

"My name is Puar" The cat squinted his eyes still unsure "What were you doing with Yamcha?" He pointed his paw.

"I have given him a good time to let out some steam, show his worth, and some really cool toys. That's why he got so hyped up to go train with the small green man upstairs" Melvin rubbed his chin looking smug.

"What?" Pua was curious, what did he mean by that.

"The most common error is when you think power alone will always work, but unfortunately sometimes it does work out. Overwhelming power can defeat Technique and great technique can defeat raw power, is all just a big balance"

Melvin Summons his Staff and twirls it around like a performer before hitting it lightly on the floor with the pointy end.

"But hey! Glad to have you back, how was training? Hope you had a great time completely away from humanity and focusing on yourself"

"Oh! Yeah, it was a new experience alright, man it felt so magical and the time spent there was pretty hard too"

"Hey! I'm not done talking! Your explanation is way too shallow and quick, details! Need more details!"

"Why the long face Cat? You don't like it when the answer you get is not completely obvious?"

"It's a bit difficult to explain but basically he gives me these challenges in which I need to complete them and win certain skills whose knowledge is automatically inserted in my brain, that's why I went out for Kami's lookout, for training. But I'm still human if you're wondering" Yamcha explained to him.

"Isn't that dangerous?" Puar asked worriedly.

"But of course! The only way human beings can become stronger is through struggle! You won't break your limits by tippy tap around a flower field because it's nice" Melvin said with his hands on his hips.

"I-Its ok guys no need for trouble"

"Why didn't you tell me?" Puar pouted at his friend.

"Would you believe me if I said I forgot? I really just pushed aside a good moment to tell you, I'm sorry"

"Oh, Yamcha-Sama you can be so clumsy sometimes" Puar gave a small smile back at him.

"Guess I have to work on that too huh? Haha!"

"Good! Now that we all got things figured out how about we for today's next challenge? I even let you watch the performance, Cat!"

Puar replied "Thanks, but I have a name! And it's Puar, so use it!"

Melvin just snickered, liking to get a rise out of others like so and he was having a ball with Yamcha's friend. He shot back, "Oh! So your name is a pun about tea? That's cute. Now Cat, watch, and be amazed at what limits your friend can try to reach!"

Yamcha looked at the fallen angel with determination and asked, "Alright then! What is it that we'll be working on next?".

The small divine being answered, "Well I can say for sure that your spirit and insight have greatly come a long way. But something is missing, your five senses will need to be worked more"

Melvin continued, "While working on battle instinct is crucial and needed for a fighter, never forget the other senses you have. Sometimes, they can be an asset that is more reliable than just the sixth sense you have. And also it may surprise your enemies when you overcome a technique/power that targets any of the senses"

Yamcha thought about it, and said out loud, "You got a point there. I remember when we couldn't sense the Androids because they were technically not letting any ki out after being modified by Gero, so we couldn't sense them properly"

Melvin grinned in delight and exclaimed, "You see?! Other beings can escape your sixth sense, so you need to never lose sight of the OTHER senses you naturally have! And also, to test each one to its limit so that when the time comes, you can put them to good"

Puar looked at Melvin with wariness and inquired, "So... what sense are you planning on helping Yamcha-Sama with?"

The fallen angel grinned once more, looking to Yamcha which made him raise an eyebrow that spelled trouble, "The sense of taste!"

"Huh!?" Yamcha and Puar asked in confusion.

"Today we won't have anything crazy dangerous or destructive like the ones before so you can come too blue puffball"

Put just grumbles, starting to feel really annoyed at Melvin calling him anything but his name.

"I don't know what your planning, but then again I'm curious about what it is and how it can help, besides the stuff that comes after is always neat"

"I will cheer you up Yamcha!" Puar smiled back.

"Awesome! ...Because we are doing it here" Melvin said.

"Wait, here?" Yamcha asked confused.

"There is no need for our annual teleportations, just bring me an empty table, the one in the kitchen will do nicely. I do the rest"

"Ok..."

Yamcha was interested in what he had planned but what could be? After a few minutes though the table was brought to the living room for some reason, and it was clean with nothing on top of it.

"I will be honest with you. This may look easy at first, but it will test your will more than anything, what is about to come is something you were not prepared for" He said oddly seriously.

"Oh c'mon what could be worse than jumping into a huge tornado and diving into the depths of the ocean?" Yamcha seemed confident.

"Let's find out shall we?"

Melvin grabbed his staff and hit on the floor twice, after that a simple and not that BLINDLY glow takes shape in the table and something comes.

"What...What is this?" He asked.

"You like spicy things? I got fourteen types here just waiting for your thumbs up"

"Yamcha! All these are peppers, and some I never have seen before" Puar said.

"This may look different but the challenge you face Yamcha will be this. You out to one by one eat each one of these peppers, which are considered the hottest ones in the world, and not give up to temptation"

"What temptations?" The man asked

From Melvin's hand, a big jar with a creamy pink liquid shows up "Milk is one of the best ways to take away the spiciness from your mouth but this one? It was made specifically to take away the pain immediately...also its fruity, creamy, sweet, and pretty much all full of strawberries...yeah strawberry milk"

Yamcha was perplexed as this was one of the strangest challenges yet. But he thought…

''Weird, but then again…'

He remembers King Kai's challenge of making him laugh so the latter could start the training...on a small planet where a talking grasshopper named Gregory and a monkey called bubbles lived in...in the other world.

'This is mild at best'

The Desert Bandit sat down at the table, looking at the many peppers that were before him and putting up his utensils to eat.

Marvin grinned and exclaimed, "Looks like you're ready to go. Now, we go in order from right to left. The right has the weakest on a Scoville level, but if you go further down the spicy factor increases. I won't say by how much though hehe, it's funnier that way. You are going to show me how far your will goes and also going to train your taste buds to endure and pick out anything extra in the ingredients"

"Why would I even need to train my t-"

Yamcha was interrupted as Melvin explained further, "I once saw a movie where a rat had a rather distinct sense of smell, telling precisely what ingredients were in anything made. And also a movie where some disguised blonde guy spent the last years developing an immunity to poison. So this test will help you out in ways like this."

"Those are moves though" Yamcha chuckles.

Puar sweatdropped and said, "I have a bad feeling about this..."

Melvin glared at him and stated, "If the floating blue-furred reject of Garfield can shut up... then let the test BEGIN!".

"Behave yourself, Melvin, Puar is just a bit suspicious, I am too, to be honest"

"Talk smack when you're done downing these fireballs, my friend. Now your first enemy is the Bhut Jolokia...also known as Ghost Pepper! It gained the title of hottest pepper for a good few years but now? Let's just say it's way down below now, some people in a certain part of the world use these beauties as a way to keep wild elephants away, they incorporate it onto smoke bombs and even smear them onto fences. Now let's see you tangle with it"

Yamcha looks at the deep red fresh pepper on the table and gulps a bit nervously. He couldn't say that he was the best when it came to spicy food, not more than the average.

''Pfft! Whatever I get this done in no time"

Grabbing the first pepper and then sticking it in his mouth before chewing it down quickly, like doing that and just swallowing would make it less spicy or something.

"Oh geez" Puar looked worried.

Yamcha thought to himself, 'Say, that tasted okay. Well...' Before he could finish his train of thought, he soon felt a strong burning sensation on his tongue! Feeling like he just dipped his tongue in boiling water in one go, which made his eyes widen, his face almost going red.

Puar called out in panic, "Yamcha-Sama! Are you okay?!".

He gulped down the sensation, looking tense as he turned to his floating cat friend and answered, "Y-Yeah... never better... that wasn't... too bad..."

Melvin cackled and exclaimed, "Not like the other training tests you and the others take, ain't that right boy?!" Melvin Said having a good laugh.

Yamcha managed to swallow down the spicy pepper, this was just the first one so there is no way he can let him know how spicy it was. The former bandit will defeat these things, it's not a big deal!

"Ah, you starting to understand now, son? You focus on one sense for too long, the rest fall out of balance and that makes for an incomplete person, let alone a martial artist. Now, are you ready to continue the lesson and dishes?"

Yamcha grinned and replied, "Give me another dish! I plan to overcome this challenge no matter what!".

"I still don't know why training a tongue and its taste buds are important, '' Puar interjected in the talk.

The former angel looked in anticipation "Heh...That's what I like to hear"

"Pot Jonah is one of the still fruitier peppers in flavor but also pretty spicy. What can I say? hmm... it's spicier than the latest one so just roll with it"

Yamcha looked at the pepper who had a stalk shaped like a stinger having a mean look to it, how can something that is just two inches big look so evil?

"We also have the one that can compete with it if both were on its peak, the Trinidad Pot pepper! This thing can vary from one hundred twenty-five to four hundred eighty times hotter than your honorable Jalapeno. But the difference between this to the other one is how fast the heat comes, so feel free to eat one by one or both at the same time, I just wanted to say"

"Do you need to talk about that trivia all the time?" Puar asked.

"What? Did you think I was gonna let him eat all of it at once without allowing the heat to set on in?"

Yamcha stared at the two peppers, this had just started and he was already going to waste time thinking whether or not he should eat it. This isn't even some deadly fight against androids or alien tyrants, this guy was testing his stomach and will to keep going as if this is how it ends.

"Even if I throw up you won't see me giving up, I will keep my clean win streak within these victories"

Yamcha felt really confident after the previous challenges and how his training had gone, sure he wasn't one hundred percent sure if one of those peppers wasn't going to make him drop the towel but that was it, you have to at least try. Grabbing both peppers in one hand the former bandit made sure to chew them thoroughly instead of one by one.

"Oh my!" Melvin said, amusing to what he was seeing.

A few seconds later after ingesting the pepper, the explosive burning sensation down on his stomach started, it felt like he just ate fire and his throat was not happy about it. He coughed a bit after the ingestion and the body started sweating profusely, Yamcha armpits were soaked, face and neck really sweaty.

"Looks like his body is trying to radiate the excess heat!"

"That doesn't seem to be healthy or safe" Puar looked spooked.

"I know, isn't that exciting?" Melvin said "I don't even have trivia to the next one. Oh! Whatever the next one is the infinity pepper, hope you're still feeling your tongue haha"

Yamcha never felt this kind of burning sensation on his tongue before, it was like heat crawling its way out to his brain, this wasn't the same as living in the desert, these red small fruits of nature wanted to burn him from the inside out.

The next pepper had a rough-skinned and wrinkled appearance, its color was a scorching red and the shape reminisces of a bulbous look with a pointy tail.

"C'mon say it!"

"W-What?" His voice came out weird.

"Say you give up, I know you want it. How many people thought they could eat these without rushing to fill their mouths with ice cream just to stop the pain, you're just another one of them"

He wasn't sure if this was the guy's words or the pepper, but it ticked him off quite more than it should. Glaring in annoyance and defiance, Yamcha forced the alert signals his brain was sending to him and grabbed the pepper before gnawing on it angrily.

"Ah! Looks like I got under your sk-"

He shut him up by eating two more in succession which surprised Melvin and Scared Puar.

"Hey! No fair I was gonna talk about the Pot Primo and Pot barrackpore"

"Maybe he doesn't have to eat them one by one and let the burning get to him?" Puar asked hopefully.

"That's the same as asking someone to eat a piece of hot ember and act like its nothing, he can't do that, only professionals of course have the power"

"What do you mean?"

Melvin then points back at Yamcha which Puar saw what the action has brought. The scar-faced man was clenching both his fists so tight the knuckles would turn white, his nose was running, involuntary tears coming out from the bloodshot eyes. As his mouth, throat, and stomach burned so much it felt like smoldering ore in his body, the taste this time at first was not fruity but bitter and citric like.

"For someone who never trained in the art of Hot pepper eating, I'm surprised he didn't faint...yet"

"Guh…" Puar sweat dropped.

"Oh you're gonna love this one Yamcha, it's a scorching hot pepper, with a fruity, slightly smoky flavor lurking behind the sun-like burn. And guess what? It was cultivated to look much like the human brain, that's why it's called brain strain. Lumpy, folding, and bulbous" Melvin added an Ok sign with his hand.

Looking at the pepper and hearing the words coming from the laughing fallen angel almost made the Lonely wolf puke out what he had just eaten, but that would be foolish and probably hurt just as much as eating another one, his breath was erratic, blowing air in and out quickly.

"And in case you want to eat two yet again, the next one is a hybrid cross between three super hot chilies, it has high heat and slow burn, as its name implies...Naga viper"

''Who even names these things?'' Puar said, shocked.

*Buuuuurp*

That was the sound of Yamcha burping, it tasted like a smoldering fire, he could swear that he was becoming an actual dragon.

'This is killing me, so hot, Kuh! Must….keep….going'

Yamcha didn't know how much time had passed since he started eating this devil-like spiciness, eating more than one started feeling like suicide. It was getting desperate, he didn't even chew the next ones that Melvin presented, he just went up and swallowed whole, so the juices and the spice didn't have the chance to get there away around the guy's mouth, his stomach acid was not going to get an easy way digesting that, but it was worth a shot.

Yamcha may be superhuman and went through hard training routines, but the poor guy's stomach was still just human. Doing such reckless moves to powerful peppers even though he is not used to it, how would he even describe what he was feeling? Was the sensation like biting into a freshly microwaved hot pocket? Maybe as hot as chugging down hot cocoa?

No... this was beyond that now, his body was sweating like crazy and the body started releasing endorphins because of the extreme pain, his head was feeling lightheaded and the stomach was cramping up. almost like it was being carved up by a steak knife.

"Right now you must be feeling the capsaicin wringing your organs out of your will and the temperature heating up so much you're a walking pool of sweat, you can even talk right huh?"

Yamcha wanted to say something but all he could do was let out hiccups, one by the next. There were still so many left, the next one had a pock-marked-like bulbous appearance with a stinger-like tail once more.

"Such a shame to see you in this way Yamcha, you couldn't take the heat when it is inside of you right? Cmon there are five more, don't be a pussy now" Melvin laughed.

'That' s it!'

Yamcha got off the table and looked dead in his eyes, grabbing the pepper he bit and gnarled on it while giving him the middle finger….before his vision went dark and the poor bastard fell on the ground.

"YAMCHA!" Puar floated towards him worried.

Melvin sighs "A shame indeed, he was going so well, not bad for someone who was not used to it. Well at least he found the limit on his stomach when it's about spicy food"

"Do something!" Puar screamed.

"Just make sure his mouth is open" Melvin said grabbing the Strawberry Milk to stop his pain.

After what felt like hours, the former bandit who slept peacefully on the bed, started to wake up, grunting in discomfort his eyes were shot open almost immediately when it was clear he had blacked out.

"Ngh! What happened?" He looked around confused.

"You fainted, that's what happened. And there were still five left to eat" Melvin who was playing cards with Puar said.

"Oh...I see. So that means I lost huh?"

Yamcha seemed to be sad at this, he really thought he could go all the way in, but apparently, this was it. At least he doesn't feel all those terrible burns in his throat now, it's like it disappeared.

"Yes and...no"

"Huh?"

Melvin got up from the chair-throwing away the cards, "I never said that failing to eat all the peppers meant you would lose, it's more of a...decrease on what your gonna have to what you could have got"

"...What?" He looked confused"

"Think of it like that...eating all the peppers would make you number one, but only eating a few and getting five left made you number three, you won't get the best but only the "Meh" out of it" Melvin explained.

"And what exactly do you mean by Meh? I could taste fire a few moments ago" Yamcha grumbles in annoyance.

The blue-skinned man uses the staff and makes a small rectangular box show up, when opening from there Yamcha could see a pair of interesting crafted gauntlets that seemed to be metal with a cloth.

"These were made by someone really experient in the secret arts of metalworking in a fashion you couldn't possibly begin to imagine"

"Is that so? Hm...how exactly was it made then? I would like to know more about"

"Well first of all! High-quality dirt and sand were gathered, yes that's a thing. Then when it's done you use an old technique that was especially used to make katanas, to produce iron sand" Melvin explained.

"Iron sand?"

"By using a metal flow of water known as Nanna naga (Metal flow), the lighter sediments are then carried away with the flow as the heavier metal sinks. By repeating is that you extract and gather what you need from the minerals"

"Doesn't sound that difficult" Yamcha said.

"When the metal is melted and some rather...explosive techniques on a clay furnace are done, you get the Kera (Raw steel) and from that one mixture, you get the finest bits of metal known as Tamahagane (ball steel) And...Oof! The rest is complicated, you need to stretch the tamahagane using a water reduction method and cool it with water, then slowly divide it, then when it's split you go through a careful selection of only the best pieces, put them one atop another, and forge it until it's flat"

"Wait! That-" The man was cut off.

"Then comes the Empty latching-Raw sharpening-earthing-furnacing-blacksmith pressing-scaling-checking- boil loading- temporary fitting-forging preliminary- single line forging and-"

"OK! I get it! Ugh, my head hurts, I don't know the inner workings of it but it's a big deal right?" Yamcha spoke.

"Of course! The creator of these babies was so good with weapons that it managed to slice off the weapons of eight armed enemies, and before they could notice what happened their clothes also got sliced up...a little bit"

(A\N: The character Shigure Kousaka from Strongest Kenichi Disciple was the one who made those gauntlets for the Shinpaku Alliance to fight Yomi. If you want to see how they look or the process then search for Strongest Disciple Kenichi chapter 528 to 530, then you understand)

"I mean...that's a cool feat of speed and technique and all but is not the most amazing thing ever done, I saw way more impressive"

"Oh yeah? Well, she has done all that...while using a Rice. Wooden. SPOON! Do you have any idea how much of a swordsman you would have to be to cut something with such FINESSE using something fragile, made of wood, that is not even made to cut?" Melvin made sure to show he was being serious and agitated.

"O-Oh...I didn't know that''

Yamcha sweat drops it from how he acted, but he hasn't said a lie so far about the stuff he won, so maybe he was right?

"Let me see" Yamcha grabs the gauntlets and decides to put them on already to know how it feels "Hmm?" The former bandit feels something and looks at it with more concentration.

They were quite flexible, giving the same feeling as gloves, but rather than being made of cloth with some metal plating in strategic places, it was actually thinly woven fibers of metal.

"Every segment of the chain has been made using various processes and techniques, changing the rigidness and cohesiveness" Melvin said with a grin "Even if said women who can make a deadly weapon out of a wooden spoon would be unable to cut those babies with a sword at full seriousness"

"Yeah...I'm starting to feel it, this is actually quite impressive huh? 'And it makes me look cool'

"It sure does! But what would it be if Yamcha-Sama managed to win completely?" Puar asked, interested.

"Then maybe I would given him some vibranium"

"Vibra-what?" He didnt listen to it that well.

"Dont worry about it, its just a silly thought" Melvin chuckles.

"Does that mean that I will always get something in exchange if I lose or win?" He asked.

"It depends if the reward itself has a lower variant for what it could be if you fail to complete all of it. This may not look like much because you're not someone who depends too much on weapons or armor, but it's a start. But hey! You did well, I saw people passing out by only eating jalapenos, not bad" Melvin complimented.

"Thank you. But I'm never eating something like that ever again, who even enjoys eating living embers like that?" Yamcha shivered thinking about the feeling on his mouth from that.

"Crazy motherfuckers who have iron stomachs. But that's beside the point, well-gotta fly! You must be tired from this day you know, coming out of training, filling your gut with peppers maybe I come back another month? Or maybe less"

"It would be most appreciated if you took a year" Puar eyed him.

"Love you too, fur ball"

Yamcha sighs "I just hope we don't have anything more for me to eat that will cramp my insides up like this"

A\N: This challenge using Peppers was an idea in which I found fun to use because it's not something you think would show up around here, I hope it was fun to see Yamcha get a mouth burn.
