A\N: Hey guys it's FanficThinker here and I want you all to have some patience before I start the next chapter. I have realized that some of the content that was posted previously on one of my chapters had some information that was clashing to what I wanted to do, which is very embarrassing, I have done changes like this before like that one poll were everyone wanted the Eight inner gates as a reward, but I didn't know how to use the last one without killing Yamcha.
So as some of you might have noticed now, a lot of updates have been done, mostly of chapters being replaced with newer ones, and even though the changes in some are bigger than others, i'm not gonna demandt more reviews because what matters is that i love your comments very much, and there is no need to try and comment again as a guest, but i would appreciate if you guys could take a another read just to see the differences, i'm gonna list down below the changes that are now a thing and why.
Chapter 3 - A slight change in the description of the Reward from the Nadashinkage Ryu style and some extra dialogue.
Chapter 5 - A new Technique related to muscles was added and more dialogue in that part just to add that extra something that was trying to show he was learning new moves
Chapter 9 - I didn't really knew what to add for the pepper challenge that's why I had put a treasure chest that heals broken items but now i see that there wasn't really that many things i could put to fix, and to what i'm thinking about putting on for later use i won't be needing it anyway, so this chapter has the Gauntlets made by Shigure Kosaka from Strongest Disciple Kenichi that was on the chapter 11.
Chapter 10 - Small changes in some skill names were done, the sword skill fourfold slash of light was removed as I saw it more like a physical attack you can do rather than magic.
Chapter 11- The Emperor Eye was removed as a reward because it was clashing against the other ability Kime Sorame. I thought about fusing them or trying to separate them but unfortunately it didn't sit well with me so I have added something else. The gauntlets had also been removed but put on chapter ten, making this new reward more useful which is Gandálfr or if you prefer The Left hand of God from Zero Tsukaima.
Chapter 12- Had to change any scene that was still talking about the eye skill from previously and showing how Yamcha now uses the new ability from chapter eleven and how it feels to wield it. A better explanation on what Bending arts is was given alongside the Chakra scene, hope it is to your tastes.
Chapter 15 and 16 - More techniques are used, the battle is still cool and awesome with extra scenes, different skills being used. It's like comparing DBS anime to manga, the differences are noticeable, good or bad depending on people. In this chapter I have added the reward of Yamcha getting a lot of artificial enhancements because I wanted his body to be strong even when he was not using ki so surprise attacks would not matter. Not only that, I also gave him a power boost out of nowhere that multiplied his power by ten times but it didn't feel fair, so that was erased! Yamcha power level is still 69,000 and there is no enchantments that seem to come out of Halo and what not, but instead he has a Time chamber that will be used for training and do hard work like it was always meant to be, you GOTTA EARN IT, but this one is one day out one week inside. Thank you for your patience, this is all I had to say. Thanks a lot for all the reviews. You guys are the best, I try my best to think hard before acting.
Now you might be wondering, what is so fun about Kart racing? Well, it's a fun activity that can bring together people from all paths in life with one common goal, the exhilarating sense of freedom as you speed your way around the track! A form of sport that helps you retain focus and keep the reflexes sharp! The biggest Kart race in history had now just started as Yamcha and the new lady friends he just met were going inside a tunnel, he a bit later than the others thanks to certain…distractions, but once outside the environment had suddenly changed and it seemed that they were in some sort of underwater track, made of long, blue tunnels and large, rocky caverns.
*First Track*
"Whoa…I never get tired of this change, one moment just poof, another place" Yamcha said, already in awe, truth be told he went through a lot already but there was still some awe in there.
While the race was just getting started, the point of view changed to a giant TV so everyone could see it. Many of the occupants in the orbiting satellite were making comments as they saw the competition, Melvin was among them but he sat on a special booth alongPuar and Takibi there, one meant for commenting, the booth was filled with assorted snacks and treats.
"Welcome participants to the Roo's Tubes! Quite the aquatic adventure for everyone to warm up their engines, and in case you have aquaphobia, boy! I'm just glad I'm not you" Melvin's voice could be heard on the megaphones around the place.
"Wait, can they hear us?" Puar asked.
"Actually they can only hear me, in case you end up wanting to give too much advice to your friend," Melvin said to Puar specifically in a whisper.
"Bork!" Takibi seemed to find that boring, even though his words would probably not reach his master.
"You heard him, ladies, let's get this show on the road," Hepsie said, excited.
"Only one will win though love," Maybelle told her.
Everyone was within a small cavern at first but as they speed up to try and one-up the other, the racers proceed down a short decline which leads to a glass tunnel, not too far was a short turn to the left and prove who had the better reflexes to get in another cave where one had to go through a jump in it.
The six kart racers zoomed off and away from the starting line, showing to all that were watching that the vehicles were faster than they looked. Sturdier too as they managed to handle the size and weights of the three anthro dinosaur beauties.
Yamcha managed to pull ahead this time, managing to pass Frea and Lesia. The martial artist was in the zone, as his mind was now bringing back memories of his old life when he was a desert bandit. Back to the days when he and Puar roamed Diablo Desert, searching for maybe treasures or loot dropped there by accident when there wasn't any unwary prey that had wandered into the hot, barren landscape.
He thought to himself, 'Man those were some nostalgic days, feels like forever but the memories feel so fresh in my head' He thought about it, smiling.
As the contestants continued to race, they saw how beautiful the underwater stage was. Above them was a glass ceiling of the sort in the form of a tube, and outside of the tube were coral reefs and many kinds of small fish swimming about.
The Z-Fighter looked ahead and saw a row of five hard-light golden boxes with silver question marks on them. His first instinct was to avoid them until he remembered from the rules spoken by the sexy nurse woman that they were Power-Up Boxes. And to gain what was inside, you had to hit them with the kart.
Making up his mind, he did a slight turn to get in line with the second box on the left and ran it down! The hard-light construct flashed a brilliant golden color, followed by a sound like breaking glass. He saw that his vehicle did not slow down upon impact, which was good. Yamcha heard something akin to a roulette wheel, looking down at the panel to his right to see it cycling through objects.
Though normally they would be too fast for normal eyes to see, Yamcha's eyes could see them clearly as if they were going slow. He said to himself, "Let me see here…" He saw all types of interesting items like missiles, bombs, TNT crates, potions, shields, and turbo boosters "Man, whoever made these kinds of power-ups must have had one cracked mind"
He saw a red button beneath it that showed the words STOP/USE. He waited until the right moment, pushed it... and the roulette stopped on a green bubble, which showed words above it in bold red letters that read SHIELD. Yamcha exclaimed in delight, "Alright! I got myself a Shield power-up!"
He continued to drive, checking the rearview mirror of his kart to see the ones behind him & also check his current position. He was in 2nd place, Maybelle ahead of him. He pushed his kart more, slowly gaining on the pink skunkette beauty.
Said anthro lass was viewing the human in her rear-view mirror, smirking as she found his confident look quite cute "Gotta give it to him, he has some spirit, but I really want to win this race! So let me see what I can do to make sure he doesn't pass me..."
"Everyone seems to be trying their best," Puar smiled. "But where did you get the idea of putting magical power up for karts coming from boxes?"
The fallen angel munched on some hard candy, his eyes on the race as he commented "Yeah but that's not going to be enough if they want to win, also it was not my idea really, but the thought of it is pretty interesting when you get to go through the box and get something at random"
"Bark!" Takibi was busy looking at the fish roaming the water close to the glass of the track.
The pink skunkette saw that the Power-Up she had was a single Bomb, one that could be shot either in front of or behind her. She saw a small rise coming up... and also an idea coming forth that would give her the edge she needed!
Yamcha was closing in on Maybelle, ready to overtake her when the rise came. He saw the skunkette's car hop up a little, which surprised him slightly, and the kart was getting some air time... and that is when Maybelle initiated her distraction! It was like in slow motion; the kart was in the air, the anthro beauty having unbuckled her seat beat momentarily as she bounced from her seat.
She lifted her large, fluffy pink & white-striped tail to reveal her large heart-shaped booty that was still covered by her wet swimsuit! While most of it was dry, the sudden showcase of sexiness was enough to make any man's blood pump like crazy. Maybelle smiled cutely and did a little wiggle, causing her booty to shake teasingly, needless to say, Yamcha's eyes widened and some blood started trickling down his nose!
Even though he had spent so much time training his mind to learn the most difficult of techniques, the scar-faced man was still a hot-blooded man, what happened left him hypnotized by the alluring scene, which he failed to notice something. Maybelle was smirking, and she pushed a button on the panel to her right... and quick as lighting, a bomb materialized underneath the kart and zoomed towards him, gravity aiding it by making it drop to him quick!
Yamcha suddenly realized what was happening and exclaimed, "Oh no!". He tried to push the button to activate the shield, but he was too late. The bomb impacted his front kart, making a small explosion that caused his vehicle to tumble about like a tumbleweed in the wind! It lasted for a few moments, then it stopped as the kart was now still.
The martial artist had a scared expression on his face, but luckily for him the kart was not damaged at all & neither was he! Just very much shaken up by the whole ordeal. He managed to steady his breathing, but then he saw the others passing him by! First to pass him was Lesia, followed by Janella, then Hepsie & lastly Frea.
The ladies called out to him, telling him goodbye and even blowing kisses to him as they sped out of sight! Yamcha had a determined look on his face as he put his hands back on the steering wheel, pushed the gas pedal to the metal, and zoomed off once more! A lot of reactions came from that, Melvin had a wide smile on his face, Puar looked quite embarrassed at seeing such a sight while Takibi was perplexed on why the anthro had done such a thing. And it was clear when she launched the Bomb from behind her, which is rolled and hit Yamcha's kart dead on!
Puar exclaimed, "Oh no! Yamcha! That was a dirty trick"
Melvin cackled, slapping his knee and exclaiming, " Ahahaha! That was an excellent strategy! Using your sexual appeal to defeat the hot-blooded guy, now that was just classic"
"Bork?!" Takibi barked loudly, showing concern for his Master as it seemed he was blown up.
Puar was about to fly and see if he was alright, but Melvin grabbed him by the tail and pulled him back into his seat. He stated, "Cool down there, furball. Yamcha's okay. Just take a look and you'll see"
The shapeshifting feline and fiery Pokemon puppy did just that, but the screen was obscured by smoke. That had the duo worried until the smoke cleared... and Yamcha was shown to be completely okay! He had stopped completely, but the human and the kart looked virtually unharmed! This brought a sigh of relief to the duo.
Melvin chuckled and said, "You see boys? They take everything into account when it comes to safety, so relax. They can race and fire to their heart's content! Now, let's see what happens next"
"Oof! That was embarrassing, but I'm not gonna lose this race ladies, no matter how attractive you all are" Yamcha said, still blushing.
Hepsie was in the lead, Frea, and Janela right on her tail. They were racing on the road and heading into a metallic part of the tubes. In front of her was a hard-light silver box that had a golden peach on it. The anthro Triceratops beauty remembered something from the woman from earlier that those kinds of boxes contained digital fruit that was needed to enhance one's kart. Gathering ten Golden Peaches would result in the kart's speed increase by a moderate amount, and also upgrading the Power-Ups they would get!
The alluring female dinosaur had to do a bit of drifting to be able to get the box, as her kart was not good at doing corners. She was able to maintain some of her speed when she hit the hard-light construct, her dashboard screen showing that she now had 5 Golden Peaches. It was a start and I hoped to get some more later on.
The trio was once again greeted by another view of the ocean above them, but the three were more focused on the road now than on the scenery. Frea was closing in, moving a bit past Janela on her left. The long-neck beauty was slowly moving into position, wanting to make sure she was in front of her friend/rival. Janela was forced to brake a little in order not to collide with her kart... and that is when Frea made her move! She unleashed a TNT Crate, the red hard-light construct box with the words in yellow TNT on it emerging like magic from her rear!
This surprised the buxom anthro turtle braked, swerving to try and avoid the trap. But it was too late, as she hit the crate and it became fixated on the front! A countdown showed on the construct, a number three shows followed by a strange ticking sound of the sort. Janela swerved many times to get the object off, but it was stuck like glue! It then went to two, and the buzzing-ticking sound got faster! And when it went to one, it increased in pitch and sound!
And when zero occurred... BOOM! An explosion followed, also accompanied by a scream from the alluring anthro. She and her vehicle bounced on the road many times, but again the protective shield stayed up and prevented her from being hurt or even singed by the explosive blast! Her ears would be ringing for a while, along with her body as it was shaking up, but she and the kart were unharmed.
"BANG! And that is how things start, with a fiery explosion" Melvin Laughed.
Puar spoke up, "You know, I wonder if whoever thought of these crazy Power-Ups was a bit touched in the head. I mean that literally glued to the top and waited a few seconds before blowing up" Puar said.
"Grrmmh" Takibi groaned before barking again, as if he was saying that he shared the cat's sentiments.
Melvin merely shrugged his shoulders and remarked, "I think it's brilliant. This keeps the racers on their toes, and also gives them a bit of a thrill without worrying so much about their well-being. Personally, I would have put in Land Mines. Much more explosive!"
Janela had to stop and gather herself up, as the shockwave and noise had shaken her up much. She soon heard the roar of engines behind her, turning in time to see Lesia streak by her quick! And coming up after her was Maybelle, with Yamcha bringing up the rear but catching up quickly! The amazing female waved goodbye with a smirk to their friend/rival, but Yamcha looked back at her in concern.
While the blonde and buxom turtle beauty was touched by his concern, she waved him off and called out, "Don't worry about me! I'm fine! Remember, this is a race!"
Yamcha knew that all of this was safe, but it still rubbed him the weirdly to just see something like that happen and just move on, in the end, he nodded his head, turning it back around quickly and focusing on the race at hand. Janela started her engine back up, still amazed at the level of protection her kart had, and soon started to get back into the race, even though she was now in last place.
"Honestly, how many times do I need to say it's safe before people realize it?" Melvin asked, rubbing his head.
"Yamcha is a gentleman, that's why he worries so much, is one of his charms" Puar said, defending his friend.
Takibi didn't say anything, he was just busy swallowing the remains of his hot dog confection, showing that he was quite the omnivore there.
Meanwhile, Frea was catching up to Hepsie and was pulling up slowly on her left. The ladies saw two Speed Boosters on the ground side-by-side, and a row of Power-Up crates in front of them! The anthro beauties put their pedals to the metal, hitting the boosters and gaining a burst of speed while also hitting the hard-light constructs! The long-neck bombshell got a Power Shield, while the three-horned knock-out got a Turbo Boost. They believed they would use it later on the next track.
The duo soon found themselves in a room that was now dirt... and hanging above on the ceiling was a huge skeleton of some sort! They looked up as they drove, Frea commenting loudly, "Whoa! That has to be the backbone of a whale or some other large animal!". She was hoping that it was NOT a relation of hers from the prehistoric past.
She and Hepsie had to do some drifting in order to make the turn necessary, the Finish Line was soon in front of them but they knew they had about two more laps to go. The duo soon heard the sound of engines behind them, checking their rearview mirrors to see that the others were catching up!
But as soon as they made it across the Finish Line... the entire course quickly faded to black, causing all of them to look around in wonder & puzzlement. Their confusion increased when they no longer found themselves in the Tubes... but on a new track entirely!
*Second Track*
For the darkness had ended thanks to a lightning bolt that had brought a sudden light to everyone, taking them out from their momentary confusion. One second after that a rainstorm suddenly started to fall onto everyone, that would be a problem because not only would it make the track muddy and slippery to race in, but it was night, and it would be difficult for everyone to pay attention while the raindrops fell onto their bodies. The racers had actually stopped for a moment to look around and see that the environment was surrounding a large forest and what seemed to be some ancient ruins with interesting architecture that made you feel like it came straight out of an Indiana Jones movie, with the far-away torches serving as a source of light for and adventurer.
'The scenario changed again, it seems this is some track built around a ruin' Yamcha thought.
"Ah yes, Tigers Temple, this place is pretty cool, I love the sound of rain, perfect for taking a nap. Just be careful to not slide down the mud and crash hard ok?" Melvin said.
"Oh no! Yamcha be careful, what if a lightning bolt hits him?" Puar said, worried.
"Bark!" Tabiki made a face that said that a strong warrior faces danger headfirst.
While everyone had been distracted, Frea was the first one to get out of that moment of awe and then step on the accelerator of her kart to take first place, prompting the others to gasp in shock, seeing that their friend had pulled a fast one on them.
"See ya later losers! Hahaha," She said that in good faith though, but a little taunting was not so bad.
"Oh snap! That's right we are racing" Hepsie said.
After hearing that everyone gets their head back in the game and proceeds to speed up again, as the rain fell refreshingly onto their bodies, where they could see a downhill plunge not too far away.
Yamcha pushed down on the gas pedal hard, ignoring the rain and wind that was falling down from the sky. He said to himself, "So they can create their own weather on these tracks? I have to say, that's cool, but I need to stay focused"
He checked the onboard monitor on his dashboard, pressing a different button to see where he stood. He saw that Frea was in first place, Hepsie in second place, Lesia in third place, Maybelle in fourth place, he was in fifth place with Janela in last but came up fast.
Yamcha saw some Power-Up boxes, another silver box that had Golden Peaches in them, and a ramp. The martial artist decided to use his Shield now, as a new Power-Up to help him advance in this new track was needed. He activated it, a green energy shield materializing all around his kart in a protective bubble. He was told that it would only last for ten seconds, but he knew that a lot could happen in that period, so believed it was needed.
He then did a drifting turn, getting a new Power-Up which was a Sliding green colored Beaker & also managed to hit the silver box. The onboard computer showed that he had 10 Golden Peaches now... and that his kart and Power-Up had been upgraded! He felt his kart going faster, a mild speed boost but it was needed as he managed to hit the ramp! Yamcha had his kart ride the edge of it like a skateboarder & flew high into the air! He looked down to see some small hills there that were intended to slow down the racers who hit them.
'Perfect' He thought.
The human from Earth saw Maybelle down below and smirked as he felt it was time for a little payback.
The alluring skunkette was bouncing up and down the mounds of the track, cursing silently as the hills slowed her down a little. She then just heard some faint yelling, whooping sounds of the sort to be precise. They were gradually getting louder and were making her curious. She looked to where the sounds were coming from... and was surprised when Yamcha landed beside her! It seemed that his ramp jump did the trick.
'He is already here?'
The pinkette skunk girl then just smirks, thinking that she could get him to get distracted again, shaking her large, fluffy pink & white-striped tail to reveal her large heart-shaped booty which was even sexier due to the rain making her swimsuit cling more tightly to her form, making it more visible in a way.
And for a moment it seemed like it did make Yamcha lose concentration again, but when she used the rolling bomb to hit his kart, the former bandit actually manages to dodge it, Surprising everyone who was watching especially her.
"Well will I be damned, he didn't fall for it? It was even sexier than before, not bad my dude that's a lot of will" Melvin said with a smirk.
"I'm mostly worried if they are not going to end up catching a cold like this.
"BARK!" Takibi seemed excited with all the forest and ruins, mostly the rain, it made him feel like wanting to run there.
'It would be really humiliating to fall for the same trick twice' "Sorry gorgeous, but how about I pay you a drink? You look a little thirsty!"
Using the track to his advantage, he did a Power-Slide and got in front of Maybelle... and dropped the beaker, which was now a Red Storm Beaker! The pink skunkette screamed as she tried to avoid it, but it was too late. She crashed into it, and soon her kart spun out of control. Slammed into the side of the ramp that was in her way, stopping her cold. She saw a mini-storm cloud coming over her & drenching her more than even the artificial weather was doing.
In addition, when she started to make the kart move once more, she felt that her speed had slowed down significantly. And checking her dashboard computer, she saw that the Power-Up she had earlier was shifting! It soon landed on a clock, which was the Power Clock. She saw the description underneath the icon and was amazed to see that it was the t Clock power up. She grinned evilly and said to herself, "Hehehehe... this will come in handy! I need to thank that cutie for actually giving me something decent, even if it was accidental"
"Whoa! Nice Going Yamcha, keep going, you can win!" Puar screamed in Yamcha go!" Puar screamed.
"Karts are way more fun than actual cars, at least that's my opinion, you don't need to care about traffic"
Takibi Barked happily at that, showing that he was glad that his Master/friend was now in the lead. In his view, an alpha NEEDED to be in front of the pack. Leading them to victory or showing the power once wielded to make the pack stronger, It seemed that even as a young Pokemon, the fiery lad still had some concepts that were instilled.
However, the anthro skunk beauty saw Janela passing her by, indicating that she was now in last place! The mini-storm cloud above her dissipated, and she was back at full control and speed. Gritting her teeth, she pushed her kart more to get back into the race. Meanwhile, Yamcha was pleased with himself. He was a bit upset that he did a dirty trick...but he reminded himself that all was fair in love, war, and racing! Plus, he remembered that the safety features would keep the buxom skunkette safe.
He saw Lesia in the distance, going into the temple. He said to himself, "Okay now, I'm in fourth place... time to remedy that!". He saw that even with the speed boost thanks to the fruit, he needed more of an edge to get past Lesia. He could only hope that the temple had some Power-Ups in there. Yamcha drove into the temple, which was truly done in a motif as there were lit torches on the wall that brought warmth and light. He was glad to be out of the rain, but he was still soaked. The young human saw a line of Power-Up boxes, ramming into one of them & soon receiving a weird mask, which weirdly enough he noticed had the face of Melvin on it.
"Eh? A mask that looks like his face? What kind of item is this?" He said out loud, quite puzzled.
He read the information underneath the picture, and he was surprised that the mask did a plethora of actions. It gave a moderate speed boost to the kart, and also made the driver invincible! They could ram through traps, racers, and other weapons with no problem & taking no damage. The invincibility would only last fifteen seconds, but that was more than enough to make things more interesting in a race.
Yamcha exclaimed in delight, "Well now! This is just what I needed, now to...WHOA!". His eyes bugged out when he saw a golden statue bust of Melvin's face on the side... and the mouth had just breathed fire out!
Now he could have used his Power-Up, but Yamcha was ready and with great reflexes, avoided the flames by turning hard to the right. He barely avoided it though, but then breathing out a sigh of relief...until he saw another golden bust of his trainer & once more turned to the left hand to avoid the spout of flames that came forth! He was now back in the rain, but he was now very close to Lesia.
He muttered to himself, "Why do I feel like he was planning something like this before the race even began?"
"You put your face on the statues and a power up?" Puar asked, confused.
"Of course, have you looked at me? This face is pretty handsome, even more when printed onto things" Melvin said, arrogantly.
"...Bark" Takibi was not convinced.
The anthro dog beauty was bound and determined to catch up to Frea and Hepsie, wanting to show the reptiles that mammals ruled the race track. She saw that they still had a good lead ahead of her, and she was just shy of two Golden Peaches to get the speed boost that she needed. She then heard a revved-up engine, looking into her rearview mirror to see that Yamcha was catching up to her!
She said to herself in a surprised tone, "Heh, I got to hand it to him. The guy is quite good in a kart. But let's see if I can remedy that"
Lesia drove on the muddy path, right towards a face statue on the wall that was carved in the shape of a tiger that had a grin on his face. The busty anthro beauty slowed down a little, but that was her plan. If her plan succeeded then this would make Yamcha freeze up and end up running right into the wall. Slowing him down immensely while giving her time to catch up to the others.
'I know that doing this is technically a dirty trick, I know... but I REALLY want to win!' She thought to herself.
As Yamcha approached the vehicle in front of him, he said to himself with determination, "Okay now...I activate my Power-Up to pass her and..."
He did not finish this train of thought as Lesia slowed down a bit, stood up... and let loose her bouncy girls from her skirtini top! Yep, turns out Lesia planned to briefly flash the human with her very impressive stacked chest! Her lovely breasts were very full, bouncy, and buxom & also was considered her very best asset to flaunt.
The hot-blooded, red-blood man was treated to a sight that he sure belonged to Heaven. He saw what could be an FF-cup pair of breasts bouncing freely, and he had that pleasure alone since the ones watching on the screens outside of the track only saw blacked-out censored blocks.
Many a male in the audience, human or not, booed as they wanted to see the woman's full glory.
"Sorry folks, I may not be Disney but I can't let this be uncensored. Also dang, I had no idea they wanted to win this bad to just do that trick, and looks like a third times a charm because it worked on him this round" Melvin said with a grin.
Puar blushed "Uuuh, why are these girls being so shameless around Yamcha?"
"Bork?" Takibi didn't understand why everyone was making such a big fuss.
It was only for a moment, with Lesia putting her top back on quickly and sliding back into her seat while turning the correct way around. She turned to see her handiwork, but what she saw surprised her big time!
Yamcha was blushing so red from seeing such amazing glory, ones that topped the breasts of any girl he saw on earth easily! The young martial artist, on reflex, activated his Power-Up. The Melvin Mask appeared out of nowhere and exclaimed, "Time to make you invincible!". It spun around the kart, giving Yamcha the speed boost he needed. But the amazing part was this; he was driving straight towards the tiger's grinning mouth... when it opened up!
The human managed to snap out of it when he saw himself in a new area, but the memory/image of what he saw would be burned forever in his mind. 'Uuhgm…damn, ok its official, no amount of meditation is gonna make me immune to something like that'
"Nani?! Thanks to some spin of fate he managed to use that situation to his advantage and surpass his adversaries?" Melvin was surprised.
"Go Yamcha! No amount of girls can distract you now" Puar screamed.
"Shh! Don't tempt it" Melvin said.
After that, he saw that he was in a tunnel, where there were lots of silver boxes that had Golden Peaches. He saw that his fruit levels were already at max, so the peaches went into a storage space that was inside the kart. If he somehow lost any of his current Golden Fruit, he would be able to use the ones stored up.
"Score!"
He then reached the end...which was shooting into the air, now flying over Hepsie and Frea! The mouth had acted like a secret shortcut, and now he was ahead! Down below, the anthro dinosaur beauties were neck to neck as they tried to pull ahead. But soon, they heard a noise and looked up above...and everything seemed to be moving in slow motion on what they saw!
Up above was Yamcha, making a loud whooping noise as he was seemingly flying in his vehicle. Lightning flashed in the sky brilliantly, lighting up the entire field & in effect making Yamcha look adventurous in a classic way as a bolt passed over him. He landed in front of the long-neck and three-horned dinosaurs, where time soon reverted back to normal as he landed in front of them and pulled away fast thanks to the boost by the mask.
The duo had to slow down a little, lest they collide with Yamcha who still had the Power-Up activated. Hepsie was side by side with her friend and exclaimed over the thunder that just clapped, "What the-?! How did...!? How did he get in front of us?! How!?"
"Looks like the shortcut not only managed to give him a boost in the competition but he also impressed his rivals in the race making them feel a bit in awe" Melvin commented.
"That looked really cool, are we recording this?" Puar asked.
Takibi just sneezed "Hmph"
Frea managed to shake herself out of her stupor, a smile on her face as she answered, "I don't know, but did you see how the lightning flashes when he showed up? That was so cool flying through the air like that"
They heard engines behind them, turning around to see Lesia, Maybelle, and Janela catching up to them quickly! The duo put their pedals to the metal, once more going at full speed but with their friends hot on their tails.
Meanwhile, Yamcha was hopping over the hills of the course and whooping loudly, "WHOO! THAT WAS AWESOME! YEAH!".
The mask soon vanished, and he resumed normal speed. He checked the standings, and it showed he was in first place! He did miss some Power-Up boxes when he landed, but he was still out in front, after passing a few ridges he saw a Speed Boost Panel right ahead near the entrance to the temple they vacated a little while ago.
In the second chamber, more breathing fire tikis tried to roast the racers, everyone managed to go by them without getting hit of course but there was no time to change their ranking on the race because at the end of the tunnel the finish line was already at the view, as the scar-faced man managed to go right in it.
He smirked and exclaimed as he drove in, "Oh yeah! I am number one here, baby!"
Groanings of disappointment or complaint were heard as everything went dark for just a few seconds before the surrounding environment had to change again for the next track, it was one step more before the true end of it to see who would be the real winner.
*Third Track*
When everything came to light once more, this time there wasn't a rainy day with muddy terrain in a forest or underwater tunnels, instead, everyone had been met with a cold shivering wind that blew towards them.
It was cold!
Looks like everyone had been teleported to an ice-related track, everywhere they looked was covered by great walls of solid ice and low temperature. Funny enough the ladies were not wearing bikinis anymore, but fur coats, vests, gloves, and so on the proper equipment for a frozen land such as this.
Yamcha was stunned again, not only by the sudden change in track but also by the sudden change of weather. While he had experienced almost instantaneous switches when it came to the environment, it was still something that always surprised him. Not only did the track and weather change, but his clothing as well.
He checked himself to see that he was wearing a parka, plus gloves and an extra vest on his being. Also, he had boots that were quite thick and heavy which would protect them from the cold.
The martial artist exclaimed, "Well now, this is quite a change. Where are we?"
The voice of Melvin boomed out from the sky, "WELCOME NEW RACERS TO POLAR PASS! LET US SEE HOW YOU NAVIGATE THROUGH POWDERY, DEEP SNOW & TREACHEROUS SHEETS OF ICE! NOT TO MENTION ALL OF THE OTHER OBSTACLES THAT ARE ON THE TRACK! HAVE FUN, AND STAY WARM! HAHAHAHAHAHA!".
The human looked up in the sky and muttered to himself, "This guy enjoys doing this a bit too mu-WHOA!"
The reason for his pause in the speech was that in front of him was a Silver box that contained more of the Golden Peaches, but that was not the real reason. The real threat was a seal, one the size of a baby elephant, going back and forth on the track! He turned the steering wheel hard, wanting to avoid hitting the animal. He managed to do so by swerving hard right, but in doing so he discovered something.
Yamcha continued to drive now, hopping over hills and looking down to see sections on the wooden ground. He said to himself as he continued to go over the snowy hill banks, "So, the snow makes steering harder since the tires are riding on something that is not fully solid. And I bet that combined with going on the ice, will make traction VERY difficult & turning even slightly more dangerous" A smirk formed on his face as he pushed onward, "I have to say, this track shows an interesting challenge"
He then heard some engine noises behind him, looking in his rear-view mirror to see that the anthro ladies were catching up to him quickly! And interesting enough, it was in a V-formation! The one in front was Hepsie, with Maybelle & Janela on the left side. Lesia and Frea were on the right side, and it seemed that they were in perfect alignment so it made it difficult to see which place they were in. But it was clear that Hepsie was in 2nd place.
Yamcha knew that the Frea and Hepsie had the advantage due to their heavyweight, but it was not an insult or anything like that. It made it easier for them to make turns since their wheels could gain added traction to the ground, both in the snow and on the ice. Sure it would be difficult for them, but not as much so as the others who had lighter weights. Though Janela was somewhat in-between due to her shell, she was about average on this kind of track.
He soon turned his eyes back on the road and saw that coming up was a fork in the road... with a gigantic Polar Bear frozen in ice, showing teeth that could easily cut through even dinosaur flesh! The martial artist commented to himself, "Okay, even to me that is a bit freaky! Okay...going left!"
"Whoa! That's a big bear, and his teeth look so sharp" Puar said, surprised.
"Rawr" Takibi felt excited to fight it.
While Yamcha was in the lead, the ladies were talking amongst themselves while driving. Ever since the tracks and their clothing changed, they made some light conversation while also trying to pass each other. Hepsie looked at her new attire and commented with relief in her voice, "Whew! I'm glad that this ride takes everything into account, including clothing!".
Her long-neck friend Frea added in, "You got that right! I bet all of us would be freezing our tails off if these things didn't appear on us! And I have to say, good thing that they had clothes in my size and species!" What she said was true, as they had been in the rain on the previous track, and most likely would have grown icicles quickly on their beings had it not been for their new clothing attire.
"Racing on ice seems to be dangerous and difficult, but I'm glad you at least gave them some clothes for the cold," Puar said.
"Well of course, leaving them to be in this cold with just bikinis would be too much of a jerk move, not to mention I don't want them catching frostbite" Melvin said.
"Woof!" Takibi seemed interested in the appearance of Snow, and wondered what it tasted like.
Janela looked at her own outfit and called out, "Not bad, but I think mine can use some adjustments. You ladies know I'm more into fashion than function!". It was true, as the turtle beauty loved to wear anything that showcased either her form or outfits.
Maybelle snorted and remarked, "Be glad that it is for function, otherwise you would be a turtle-sicle by now!". She was glad that her fur gave her added warmth and protection against the cold elements.
Lesia exclaimed loudly, "SEAL ON THE ROAD!". The ladies saw the same seal that Yamcha swerved to avoid, doing the same while also hitting the constructs that held the Golden Peaches. The women soon had ten of the fruit, giving their karts the extra boost in power & also leveling up their Power-Ups!
The busty anthro dog breathed out a sigh of relief, then saw a certain human they all had their eye on in the distance. She called out, "Ladies, look! There he is! We're finally catching up to him!". The girls turned their heads and indeed, their quarry was in sight!
Hepsie smirked and exclaimed, "Let's go get him! Once we pass him, then it's every girl for herself!". They all nodded in agreement, soon going into the V-formation as they raced to catch up with Yamcha.
Yamcha managed to snag another Power-Up, this time it was a TNT Crate... but thanks to the Golden Peaches he had collected, it had upgraded itself automatically to a green crate that showed NITRO on it! He read the description on his computer dashboard, and he was very much pleased to see that it exploded upon contract with another kart! And would also affect other karts within its blast radius! While said radius was small, at least it was there.
The martial artist continued to drive on, passing by a Silver Box that had the fruit within them. He did not hit them as he already had enough. But he soon spotted a Speed Booster panel on the ground & a clever thought came into his head. He said to himself, "Okay, time to see how the ladies react to this!"
He pushed the button, and released the deadly payload right in front of the booster panel as he hit it, getting that extra boost of speed! Now Frea and the others would have to choose between either hitting the panel for the speed boost... or getting blown up by his little surprise! The human continued on, looking in the distance to see large gray-colored statues rising up in the air. It was statues that were of Melvin's face, Yamcha shaking his head as he did a small hop over a rise & seeing some Power-Up boxes.
He said to himself, "I'm really starting to get the feeling that he likes to self-promote himself a bit too much"
"Ah yes, explosives, I like that just as much as using animals as obstacles in a road" Melvin said.
"What!?" Puar didn't like that.
"I'm just kidding, not about the explosives part though"
Meanwhile, Janela and the others were starting to catch up to Yamcha. It was the lovely blonde turtle that managed to get the long Silver Box, get the fruit inside and finally acquire ten in total. Maybelle was a bit miffed that she had gotten to it first, as she needed a few of the fruits to get the needed speed boost, but she reminded herself that more chances to acquire the objects were up ahead. They all did get Power-Ups; Janela getting a NITRO Crate, Lesia acquiring a Homing Missile, Frea a Blast Bowling Bomb, Hepsie awarded a Blue Shield & finally Maybelle getting a Turbo Booster. They would save their items until the time came.
The anthro beauties continued to race on the snow and turned in to get in the middle of the track... until they saw Yamcha's little surprise on the Speed Booster panel! Maybelle exclaimed in surprise, "Everyone, turn!"
All of them did indeed turn, not wanting to risk getting hit by the object! Each of the lovely females turned just in time to avoid getting blasted by the crate, but they also lost ground & time due to missing the panel and skidding to miss the green boombox. When it was all said and done, all of them were no longer in formation and now in different places. Janela was now in 2nd place, Maybelle in 3rd place, Lesia in 4th place, Hepsie in 5th place & finally Frea in 6th (last place).
The various beauties managed to get themselves back in control once they were far away from the crate, going over the rises & Frea exclaimed, "I have to give this to that cutie, he plays smart!"
The others had to agree with her, as Yamcha's ploy was brilliant as they were seeing it from his point of view. To lay down a trap like that, and force them to choose either trying to avoid it & skid at just the right time to hit the Speed Boost panel, to avoid it altogether... or to get hit and get blasted by it! All of them knew that trying to drift/skid to avoid the large explosive crate and hit the panel at the same time was impossible, so they all went with avoiding it altogether.
They still had their fruits and Power-Ups, but they lost serious time due to avoiding the crate and one another.
Maybelle replied back with some heat in her tone, "Maybe, but I'm going to get him back for pulling such a sneaky move! Come girls!".
Yamcha was in the lead, leaping over the raised hills and hitting the Speed Booster panels on the ground at the right time to get some serious air time. He was whooping and hollering in delight as this was just very enjoyable for him, that he was in the lead & going fast in the air. He looked down from his position to see that the track broke off a little, that a good chunk of the area was now watery with two large ice flows that were to be like stepping stones of sort floating on the liquid.
He said to himself, "Not a bad trick here. If someone lost control, they could fall right into the water and I would hate to get wet in this freezing weather." He landed on the ground, maneuvering to hit another Speed Boost panel and taking off towards the two ice floes. Once he was on the other side of the track, he did a drifting left turn and hit one of the Power-Up Boxes there.
But he didn't get one, as he already had one which was a Blue Shield.
The human martial artist saw another ice flow ahead, this time with two Speed Boost panels together to cover almost the entire thing. He smirked and hit the Boost... but that is when he got blindsided! It all happened in slow motion; as soon as he hit the objects to gain some speed, he saw something flash to his right. He looked... and saw that it was a Homing Missile!
He let out a yell, but he knew it was too late. Time soon resumed back to normal speed, where the missile struck the underside of his kart! He yelled loudly as she was shot out of the air, tumbling about & splashing into the water! The moment he was submerged in the freezing water, a bright light shined around him & he was teleported back to the track!
"Even those who are winning can end up losing if they don't pay attention every single moment, you blink, you lose, that's all there is" Melvin said.
"That water looks so cold, I am feeling the cold just by looking at it" Puar said.
He was on the track where he would have landed had it not been for the missile. His clothes were wet, and the freezing winds struck him hard. But it was only for a moment before he felt something warm wash over him like he was in a warm shower. He soon saw his clothing was dry, and that his whole being was also dry.
Yamcha started to pat himself on various spots on his being, finding that indeed he was dry completely. He let out a breath of relief and said, "Whew! Thank Kami for these safety features. But who...?"
His question was interrupted by calls of delight as he looked up to see the opposition now flying above him! First was Janela, followed by Maybelle, Lesia, Hepsie, and Frea. The busty anthro dog turned briefly as she continued to drive off fast, waving to Yamcha and blowing him a kiss as a smirk was on her face. It was she that had launched the missile earlier!
The human briefly panicked before putting the pedal to the metal, the kart roaring back to life and driving to catch up to the pack.
Yamcha noticed that his kart was a bit slow now, looking briefly to the dashboard to see what was up. He saw that the missile hit had done more damage than he thought. The blast had knocked about three Golden Peaches off from his vehicle, thus losing the speed boost & also that his shield was now green. That meant it would only last a short time before vanishing.
He growled out, "Damn! Now I have to really make up for this little setback! Okay kart, let's go!"
The last place racer saw a Silver Box regenerating after being hit by Frea from earlier, which was good timing as it had what Yamcha needed. He plowed through the box, gaining exactly three more Golden Peaches to get back the speed boost and upgrade he needed for his Power-Up item. He raced on a wooden narrow bridge that ran over the water, hopping over the small rises to gain some airtime & speed when landing back down.
He did a drifting right turn to enter into a wide cave that had some Power-Up boxes but he ignored them. Yamcha heard some seal barking and looked ahead to see two large seals going back and forth on the track. The human martial artist did some calculating in his head, then gunned his vehicle as fast as he could!
The kart zoomed past the first large seal, if just barely, and the second one by mere centimeters!
Yamcha let out a sigh of relief as he had managed to make it without hitting the animals, then saw a wall coming up with black triangles on it that acted like arrows, telling him that he had to turn to the right. But the martial artist saw that a rise was coming up... and a crazy idea formed in his head!
He said to himself, "Okay... time to take a chance!" He gunned his vehicle once more, and just as he hit the rise...he did a small hop, gaining some extra air time! Everything happened in slow motion once more; Yamcha flying towards the wall to go over it, turning his kart to the right to get a bit more leverage in the air. It looked to be close... very close... but he managed to do it! His tires hit the top section of the wall, skidding a little but he managed to get over the stone wall!
The human had a wide smile on his face as his gamble paid off!
Time resumed at its normal pace, and he landed on the track & gained some ground thanks to that shortcut he took. He was so busy that he didn't notice who was next to him. A female voice called out in a surprised tone, "What the-?! How did you get here so fast!?"
The voice managed to break through Yamcha's exciting train of thought, turning to his right side to see the surprised face of Frea, the long-neck anthro beauty's face very much stunned at what just landed next to her.
Yamcha managed to regain his mental facilities and answered with a smirk, "Just call me lucky, Frea-chan! And now...call me gone!"
"Geez, and to think he never used a kart before this is unprecedented" Melvin said.
"Yamcha learns and adapts fast!" Puar exclaimed.
He took advantage of her surprised state to zoom ahead, the buxom dinosaur seeing him overtake her and put her in last place!
Yamcha continued to drive fast, looking ahead to see that Hepsie and Lesia were jockeying for position as they continued to push their vehicles hard. The human martial artist said to himself with a look of determination on his face, "I bet those two have some powerful Power-Ups in their arsenal. So... going to activate my shield now!"
He pushed the button on the dashboard console, and the blue shield flared to life as it encircled his entire kart. Unlike the green shield, it would last until it got hit by something. Pressing down hard on the gas pedal, he accelerated quickly and aimed to get between them!
The buxom beauties were side by side, trying to overtake the other in their vehicles. The busty anthro-Triceratops and anthro-dog seemed to be at a tie... until they heard the roar of an engine behind them. They turned around to look... and were surprised to see Yamcha streaking right towards them! On instinct, they moved their karts to avoid the blue-shielded object; Hepsie to the left & Lesia to the right.
The duo saw their intended target for the day giving them a cheeky grin before he went right past them, the anthro beauties were a bit stunned to see that the human had managed to catch up to them.
Hepsie called out in surprise, "What the-?! How did Yamcha manage to catch up with us so fast!?" The others had opted to take the long way around the brick wall, going around it instead of taking the chance to leap over it as the martial artist did.
Lesia called out in a tone that spoke of determination, "I don't know, but time to put him behind us!" She had acquired another Homing Missile Power-Up along the way, and now she was aiming. She had a clean shot and pressed the button to fire it... until she just realized that the human was in a blue shield! Even if her projectile hit, it would protect Yamcha and thus not slow him down at all!
She said to herself as she saw her missile streaking towards the blue bubble-encased kart, "Oh crud...".
The missile struck true with a big explosion that caused the ladies to slow down a little... but when the smoke cleared, Yamcha was still driving and his shield was gone! And he was not slowing down at all!
He gave a wave to the ladies before speeding up once more, the trio now going towards a frozen pond!
Lesia managed to get out of her stunned state, but it was too late as she started to slip and slide on the ice a little. Hepsie regained control of herself and the kart, her weight helping her as it allowed her kart to have a bit more grip on the slippery ice. She managed to get past her anthro-dog friend, putting herself in 4th place with Lesia in 5th and Frea in last place but catching up!
Meanwhile, Yamcha was glad that he had utilized his shield and that it managed to absorb all of the blasts before vanishing. He smirked wide as he grabbed another Power-Up, this time it was a Blast Rolling Bomb! He said to himself in a satisfied tone, "Sweet! Now I'm in 3rd place, but still got some ground to cover!"
He maneuvered his kart to slide easily on the frozen pond spots in front of him, soon catching up to Maybelle. He could see that Janela was still out in front, and it was time to remedy that!
Meanwhile, the pink skunkette was doing her best to catch up with her friend but the blonde anthro-turtle had managed to pick up a sizable lead. She saw a ramp coming up ahead, one made of ice just before some Speed Booster panels came up. Maybelle then saw Janela dropping her NITRO crate on one of the panels, doing the same trick that Yamcha did earlier!
She smirked and said to herself, "Not this time!". The skunkette beauty saw her friend leaping the ramp, then maneuvered her vehicle to avoid the dangerous green crate, and soon took off into the air as well! As she flew into the air, she noticed that the course was not far away as one would think.
Maybelle knew that now was the time to activate her Power-Up!
She pushed a button on her dashboard... and her Turbo Booster activated, giving her a moderate extra push in the air & some extra hang time! The beautiful pink anthro whooped loudly as she flew through the air, causing Janela, who had landed down already, to look up & be amazed to see her friend now zooming through the air like a mini-jet!
When she came down, Maybelle landed in front of her! Janela was forced to slow down some to avoid hitting her, which made the skunkette smirk even more before blasting off towards the Finish Line, where it would change the track again to the last level.
"Hell Yeah baby! Who is number one? This skunk! Now that's what I'm talking about"
She happily went to the finish line where the other racers followed suit, but then the track had shifted again, this time however it would be the final one, to decide once and for all the true winner.
*Final Track*
When the new scenario took over, everyone received a strong wind to their face. This place was different though, it didn't have trees, rain, lightning, temples, or ice. Instead, everyone noticed that their karts were not moving, it was then that it was noticed that the course seemed to be some sort of floating patchwork race track, suspended high in the clouds by what seemed to be dozens of balloons and blimps.
"Whoa…" Hepsie said, surprised at how quickly they went from an ice-filled land to some high sky view.
"This one is even more different than the others," Janela said, a bit in awe mostly for the height.
In other words, they were very high in the air by what seemed to be a very bad idea for a patchwork track being held by nothing but hot air, was this actually safe? Hopefully. But the racers didn't have time to think that much as the voice of Melvin was heard through anomalous means…or just the megaphones on the blimps.
"Welcome ladies and gentlemen! To the last track of this race through worlds, here we are going to decide who wins and who gets the L for LOSER! Hahaha, give it your best shot through teeth and nails to see the one to come out VICTORIOUS!"
"It's so tall and windy, it seems to be quite difficult to race on it," Puar said.
"Bark" Takibi felt dizzy watching how tall they were.
Yamcha and the anthro beauties were once again amazed at the quick change of scenery, the group feeling the now cool air hit them as the human martial artist looked around him... and down. Usually, this is where someone is meant to be afraid of how high up it is as he sees only clouds beneath him, but he had gotten used to that ever since he learned how to fly and a few weeks of practice, now quickly pulling his eyes back to the patchwork road he readied himself.
Janela said to herself, "I would say we are about 10,000 or so feet up in the air. And why I can still breathe like normal means the kart's safety features include having its own atmosphere where we can breathe as if we were still near ground level"
The busty blonde turtle beauty had a knack for flying airships, as building such wonders was a hobby of hers. And as such, she was a good judge on how high one would be & also what could occur when at said altitudes.
Yamcha saw a blimp coming up as he passed the starting/finish line, which had the face of a grinning Melvin on it. He groaned and said to himself, "Oh come on! Again? I think he's having way too much fun with this race..."
The practitioner of the Wolf-Fang Fist checked his ranking on the dashboard. He saw that he was still in 3rd place, Janela in 2nd place with Maybelle in 1st. Behind him were Hepsie in 4th place, Lesia in 5th, and last place belonging to Frea. He soon smirked and stated with conviction, "I'm in 3rd place, but that won't be for long!".
He gunned his kart, going past some wave-formed barriers on the right and left of him. They looked to be put in place to prevent drivers from going over, but it looked to be that said barriers were set up in strategic places. Most of the road was that if you drove off... LONG way down.
He saw two of the Silver Power-Up items regenerating, showing that Maybelle and Janela had already gotten some items. Once he smashed into one, the dashboard computer showed that he had gotten a Turbo Booster! Yamcha smirked and said to himself, "Perfect! Now I have to wait for the right moment to use it! I believe this little baby is all I need right now!"
As Yamcha continued on, the ones behind him were also catching up bit by bit. Hepsie managed to hit one of the Power-Up boxes, gaining a Blue Shield, Lesie following her & gaining a Melvin Mask item while Frea got herself a special Power-Up as well. The long-neck dinosaur beauty saw on her dashboard that her Power-Up was truly a potent one... it was a Distortion Orb!
She read the information below the item on the screen, "The Distortion Orb locks in on the driver who is in first place. It hones in on them, and upon contact, the driver is hit and distorted completely for a few moments. The orb can also hit drivers if they are in the middle of the track. However... by being powered up by having 10 Golden Peaches, the Orb will hit ALL other racers! It can only be blocked by either a Shield or a Melvin Mask!".
Frea cheered, glad that she got herself a useful weapon! She put her eyes back on the road, very careful to not fall off the road as she drove. Hepsie was the same way, as the dinosaur ladies were not too overly fond of heights at all.
The group did a sliding right turn on the shoulder of the track, approaching an air balloon that was floating lazily in the sky. When Frea saw the turn that would lean into the left, she decided to take a chance! She called out, "Okay everyone, get ready to be distorted!". She pressed the button, firing her orb as it was fully powered up!
A brilliant golden-colored orb appeared in front of her, crackling with electricity as small bolts fired off from it! The orb then swiftly went towards its targets, which was everyone since Frea was in last place!
"Oh uh! Looks like someone is about to do a comeback" Melvin grinned.
"What is that?" Puar asked.
"Just watch and see my furry friend"
The first one to feel the wrath of the orb was Lesie, the busty anthro dog beauty yelping as she was stopped cold in her tracks! Her kart, and also herself, were lit up like Christmas trees as they were shocked silly by the powered-up Distortion Orb! Next was Hepsie, the three-horned beauty also stopped cold and shocked silly as she made a turn. Luckily for her, she stopped by the edges that had the guard rails. If said objects were not there, chances were she might have slid over the road and down below!
And even if there were safety features in the kart, no doubt she would be freaking out during the fall. As the orb continued to tear a path of destruction, Frea passed them all, climbing up in the ranks as she was aiming for 1st place! Meanwhile, Yamcha had just hit a Speed Booster panel as he was turning, looking up to see another set of panels as they acted as a ramp. He was also catching up to Janela, who had already used the ramps to leap across the space. Just as he was about to hit the ramps... he saw in his rear-view mirror the golden orb!
The guy turned around and exclaimed in surprise, "What in the heck is that!?".
He tried to move out of the way, but the orb followed every turn he made! Hitting the ramps and then went up over the space... but was hit by the object! He was stopped cold in mid-air, his kart and body lit up... and then he started to fall down! He yelled as he felt gravity take control... but in a flash of light, he vanished! Yamcha no longer felt the wind rushing all around him, and also that he was not being pulled by gravity. He cracked his eyes open... and saw that he was at the edge of the Speed Boost panels, the ones he just used earlier!
He gave off a sigh and said to himself in relief, "Whew... that was close... I really like these safety features here..."
"Dang it, he was so close" Puar said, feeling annoyed.
"Oh well luck is part of racing too" Melvin said.
However, he heard whooping and turned around to see that Frea was coming up fast! She winked at the human man as she passed him by, using the Speed Boost panels to execute the jump that he used just a few moments ago!
Yamcha was stunned, then realized something. He checked his fruit count, and indeed he now had only six Golden Peaches, which meant that his speed boost and powered-up item was no more. Sure he still had the Power-Up, but it was no longer powered up.
He growled a little and said to himself, "Well, got to make up for lost time! Let's go!" He revved his engine back off, and took off as the Speed Boost panels nearly instantaneously got him back to full speed as he shot up and over the space!
Janela was in her kart, which was stopped cold as she was seeing stars in front of her. She had gotten hit by the golden orb, but luckily her kart was hit in the middle of the road. She didn't tumble over and fall over into the sky below. The busty blonde anthro turtle muttered to herself as she held her head, "Damn! Now that was something...what was it though?"
Once she regained her facilities, she heard a shout and turned to see that it was Frea! She growled loudly, "Damn! I bet it was her that threw that freaking orb! Well... time for some payback!". She hit the gas, and her vehicle roared to life as she gave chase to her long-neck friend!
Janela noticed that she no longer was faster than before, checking her stats on the dashboard to see that she was short three Golden Peaches of a full ten. Her Power-Up weapon, which Rolling Bomb, was de-powered as well. Growling, she raced along but was also mindful of the lack of guard rails that were on the track.
Frea was whooping loudly as she was finally catching up, seeing Maybelle up ahead. The Distortion Orb did stop her, but since she had a big enough lead, she was still in 1st place though it seemed that it was now not as secure as before. The buxom and big anthro dinosaur was catching up to her quickly... but she was unaware of one thing. Maybelle still had her Power-Up, which luckily for her were three Rolling Bombs! It was once in a while, yes, but one could get a three-for-one deal when it came to that particular Power-Up.
The alluring skunkette was racing as fast as she could, seeing that she no longer had the fruit power up as she now only had six Golden Peaches. She looked in her rear-view mirror, seeing Frea catching up with her quickly. She thought, 'Well, at least I know who sent that damned orb to me! Well Frea, it is on now!'.
As she went down a little, she noticed a Silver Box and did a skidding turn to hit it while keeping on the road. She got some fruit, but sadly only got three. One shy of a fully powered-up kart, but at least it was something. She saw Frea close to her bumper... and decided to unleash her little surprise! Maybelle unleashed one of her Rolling Bombs... but Frea managed to lean in and move her steering wheel, causing her kart to lean a lot to the left and evading the bomb! She couldn't believe her eyes that Frea managed to evade such a weapon at close range! The bomb soon struck a stunned Janela, who bounced wildly on the road from the explosion! And thankfully, she did not go over the side.
Frea called out in an amused tone, "Hahahahahaha! Looks like you wasted your bomb! You didn't get me!".
The pink buxom beauty smirked as she realized that Frea assumed that was her only weapon. She called out, "I don't think so! As it turns out, I got myself a three-in-one deal! So... have a blast!". Maybelle did a turn and used her weapon again!
This time around, Frea was too surprised as she was caught very much unawares! She didn't turn, and BOOM! The bomb struck, making her bounce on the road and stop in place. Maybelle cackled in delight and soon continued on her way. The skunkette beauty hit some Power-Up boxes, but she didn't need them as she had one more Bomb on hand. She raced down the skyway, hitting the Speed Boost panel to get some serious air time on that little strip she was on. She believed that she had the race in the bag... until she heard some whooping from down below looking down to see that it was Yamcha!
Her eyes widened as she said to herself, "What?! How did he get here so fast?!".
Yamcha had managed to get four Golden Peaches from the same box that Maybelle had hit when it regenerated, giving him the necessary number of fruits and the modest speed boost that can with it. And his Turbo Boost item was now powered-up as well!
When she landed, it was right beside him on his right. Yamcha was only startled by her sudden appearance but kept his focus up. She called out, "Hey Yamcha! It seems that this race is between you and me now! So I'll see you in the Winner's Circle when I win!".
He smirked at her and replied back, "Yeah, but it's me who is going to win, Maybelle!".
The duo did a turn, going on some Speed Boost panels on the ground & flying towards and under a blimp that was in front of them. They raced neck and neck, a sharp curve coming up. That is when Maybelle used her last bomb, making the turn on the outside while Yamcha was on her left. He got hit, bouncing around and stopping in his tracks! She smirked, assuming that she had won as she was seeing the Finish Line up ahead that was just in front of the blimp they had gone under some moments ago.
"Looks like the race is coming to an end and a winner will be decided after so much struggle that these racers have given us!" Melvin said, feeling excited.
"Go Yamcha! Go! You can win this!" Puar said.
"Bark! Bark!" Takibi started spinning around the table.
But Yamcha was not done yet! As soon as he got settled, he used his Turbo Booster and immediately zoomed forward! And he did it while in front of the Speed Booster panel that was going to hit until he got blind-sided by Maybelle! So he got an extra burst of speed, and was once again neck-to-neck with the anthro beauty!
The two went into the blimp, Yamcha managing to hit another Silver Box that replenished his fruits that he lost moments ago! So now it was a race to the Finish Lines, which was now some feet ahead! It was going to be close...a true Photo Finish...and…
