Chapter 123 Lake Placid 2
Turok sighed as he rested in a hammock outside a large wooden cabin.
Its been a week since Kane was brought in and since Kelly was found guilty of mass murder and sentenced to life in maximum security prison.
"Well, looks like your enjoying yourself." Sean said walking out to him in a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
"This takes me back to the good days of Hope." Turok said.
"I figured as much. I figured a good place to relax would be out here. Nice town but horrible history." Sean said sitting in a chair.
"Crocs right? I recall you said they nick named this place Lake Placid because of those things." Turok said remembering the story.
"Yeah. Took a couple years before the town recovered from that name. There are still lots of rumors about it." Sean said.
"Mind if I ask you something thats been bugging me since we came back from the terminator universe?" Turok asked.
"About?" Sean asked.
"The nanomite warheads. I recall you saying you hated weapons like that and yet you built them anyway." Turok said.
"Oh that. Not by choice really. Lane convinced me to design those. Brought up a good point that if the Regime is going to use every method to destroy us we need to do the same. As much as I hate being a hypocrite on things I hate he brought up a good point. Still I put down some ground rules. Making sure they can't be used against us like shutting them down if they travel to far away and destroying themselves when the target is gone. Plus when the war against the Regime is over those warheads go straight into the garbage. I have standards when it comes to weapons like that." Sean said.
"Hello." Marci said next to Turok.
"MARCI!" Turok yelled falling out of the hammock making her burst out laughing. "The fuck are you doing here?" Turok asked standing up.
"I live here. David told me you guys were here and I decided to stop by." Marci said. "Plus I'm meeting some old friends here." Marci said before Sean got a text.
"You two have fun. I gotta go. Police department called about some accident or something." Sean said getting in his truck and left.
Later
Arriving at the police department he met up with deputy Dale.
"Hey, Dale. Whats up this time?" Sean asked before he spotted an Ecosystem scientist named Frank. "Hey Frank. Hows it going?" Sean asked.
"Uh not so good." Frank said.
"Dale said something happened? Whats going on?" Sean asked.
"Okay. Well, my partner and I are working on the lake, and, uh well, next thing I know, he's in the water." Frank said.
"Just like that?" Sean asked.
"Yeah. I'm trying to get him back in the boat, and he's screaming and yelling and something pulls him under. He's gone, Kruger." Frank said.
"I'm a little unclear on something here. How exactly did he wind up in the water in the first place?" Sean asked.
"Uh, pretty sure he fell off leaning over the side." Frank said getting him to nod.
"Frank, I got a question for ya. Did you, by any chance...Eat any organic brownies?" Sean joked getting Dale to burst out laughing.
"You think this is just a joke, huh, Kruger." Frank said. "Come with me, and I'll show you the punch line." Frank said leading him to Autopsy.
"Jeez I wonder what I'm gonna see." Sean said.
Entering the Autopsy room Sean saw a sheet over something.
"Oh boy." Sean said removing it revealing a severed arm and leg. "Oooh. That your friend?" Sean asked.
"Whats left of him. Whatever's in the lake took the rest of him." Frank said.
"I better call Fish and Wild life." Sean said before.
"They've already been called."
Sean looked and saw to his surprise a woman with long blonde hair with white skin and purple eyes.
"Oh crap." Sean said.
"Is that how you greet one of your ex's?"
"Hi...Mai." Sean said sheepishly. (Mai from Yugioh. Don't know why but for some reason she fits in this scenario)
"Uh." Frank tried to say.
"Shut up." Sean said quickly. "I haven't seen you in nine years...You look good." Sean said making her smile.
"Well, I may take my job serious but I also like to keep my appearance up. If it is any consolation I did ask them to send someone else after I learned you were here." Mai said.
"It's not that I don't want to see ya but you haven't talked to me since we broke up." Sean said.
"I sent you an email." Mai said.
"You sent me one of those stupid PETA rallies. How personal is that?" Sean asked annoyed.
"Seriously...I didn't realize you still weren't over your first relationship." Mai said.
"The fuck does that mean?" Sean asked annoyed before Frank grabbed the severed Leg.
"I hate to break up couples therapy!" Frank yelled.
"Oh." Mai said in disgust before bolting.
"But I'm not Dr. Phil, and this sure as hell ain't Oprah!" Frank yelled.
"It's not a fucking toy!" Sean yelled before the Doc put it down. "Mai?" Sean called out. "Nice going moron." Sean said.
Mai and Frank were outside talking while Sean went to make a call to HEAT.
"I'm so embarrassed. Always had a weak stomach for blood." Mai said.
"It's a good thing you weren't out on the lake. Boy, was it awful." Frank said as Sean came out and handed Mai a cup of water.
"Nick said they'll be here soon enough. Anyway something that vicious it had to be a mountain Lion, a sick bear or something like that." Sean said.
"The chances of a mammal killing someone on a lake that deep are near zero." Mai said.
"Well, theres one other thing I know that could do that but its impossible. We cleared the lake of those things 13 years ago." Sean said.
"What?" Frank asked.
"Crocs. Yeah 13 years ago the lake was infested with at least 2 of them. One is still alive in a facility Shepherd owns for study since its so old and still alive. The other David blew up with a prototype weapon." Sean said.
"How does a Croc end up here of all places?" Frank asked.
"Various ways and reasons. Not the first time a croc ended up somewhere it shouldn't." Sean said.
Later
"Frank, we've been over the same are four times. Are you sure this is where Tillman went under?" Sean asked.
"I think so." Frank said.
"Think? God I forgot how much I hate this lake." Sean said.
"I didn't know anyone lived on this side of the lake." Mai said pointing to the old couple's house before they were eaten.
"Oh that's Crazy Sadie Bickerman's house. Her sister was one of the victims of the crocodile incident in 2011. Been over 13 years since that day." Sean said.
"How do you know her?" Mai asked.
"Dale, told me everything about her." Sean said
"Hey whats that?" Mai asked pointing at something.
"Hmm." Sean said stopping the boat. Getting a pole Sean tried to get whatever it was. "I'll get it in a sec." Sean said before Mai started to unbutton her shirt. "Whoa! What are you doing?" Sean asked in surprise.
"It's not like you haven't seen all this before. We can wait all day or I can see what it is." Mai said unbuttoning her shirt.
"Turn the fuck around." Sean said to Frank. "So you're just gonna jump in? You're not even gonna let..." Sean tried to say.
"Yeah, I'm going in." Mai said taking off her shirt revealing her purple bra making him chuckle.
"Christ, Mai, You never change." Sean said before seeing Frank stare. "Turn around!" Sean yelled.
"What do you think a 40-foot croc's gonna get me?" Mai asked.
"Theres always hope." Sean said making her laugh before diving in.
"You broke up with that?" Frank asked.
"She broke up with me. I wasn't really looking for a relationship back then. It was a quick fling." Sean said before she came back up with something in her hands. "What is that?" Sean asked before she tossed it at them and it turned out to be Tillman's head. "Oh shit." Sean said before pulling her out of the water.
"Now do you believe its a croc?" Frank asked.
"That doesn't prove anything." Sean said.
"What more proof do you need?" Frank asked.
"I'm gonna regret this but we gotta see Crazy Sadie." Sean said.
Soon enough they docked on her docks before walking to her house.
"Maybe I should talk to her." Mai said.
"Um be my guest." Sean said letting her led before snickering.
"Whats so funny?" Frank asked.
"Watch." Sean said sitting on the fence while Mai knocked on the door before Crazy Sadie answered.
"Hi, Sadie Bickerman? I'm Mai Valentine from Fish and Wild life." Mai said.
"Fish and Wildlife? Hasn't been a lick of livestock on this property since I lost my sister. Unless you got some answers for me on that Why would I talk to you dumb fuckers?" Saide said shutting the door. Sean and Frank snickered.
"Uh I didn't know." Mai said as she opened the door again.
"What?" Sadie asked.
"I'm sorry. Can we just come in for a minute? We won't be long." Mai said.
"You're right. You won't." Sadia said shutting the door again.
"Wow." Mai said while Sean and Frank laughed.
"Oh that was funny." Sean said.
"You wanna try? Be my guest." Mai said before Sean started knocking on the door.
"This is commander Kruger of the Legion, Sadie. Open up." Sean said before she did.
"I'm sorry. Wasn't I clear enough, Kruger?" Sadie asked.
"Sadie, We found a man's head about 200 yards off your dock. Wanted to know if you had any information about it." Sean said.
"I'm an old lady. Unless you think I chopped off some poor sap's melon I don't know how I can help you." Sadie said.
"You can start by telling us anything you know about any crocodiles. Evidence suggested your sister knew a lot about them 13 years ago." Sean said.
"Don't you mention my sister. I don't know squat. Till you get yourself a warrant, you can go piss up a rope, Columbo!" Sadie said slamming the door.
"Wow." Sean said.
"Get lost, Whoremonger!" Sadie yelled.
"Ok I take offense to that." Sean said as they walked away.
Later
"Old Sadie is hiding something." Frank said.
"Maybe. But it could be nothing." Sean said before they met up with HEAT. "What took ya so long?" Sean asked.
"Randy, flirting with the locals." Elsie said making him grumble.
"Whatever. We still don't have any proof theres a giant Croc out here." Mai said before said Croc came out and smashed the boat apart.
"WHOA!" Randy yelled driving the boat to the shore while the others swam. The croc was about to follow them when a sea plane came by forcing it to leave.
"Great fucking tourists." Sean said.
"Nope. Something worse." Mai said as the plane landed by the docks.
"Who is this guy?" Sean asked.
"Caught him a couple years ago poaching some endanger bobcats by the Canadian boarder. He's an industrialist but he fancies himself a great white hunter. His ego is twice the size of the Croc." Mai said. Suddenly the one known as Struthers and Ahmad came out.
"Mai. Never fancied you for the wet T-shirt type." Struthers said making her sigh in annoyance. "Good to see our tax dollars hard at work." Stuthers said throwing his bag to Randy who caught it.
"What are you doing here, Struthers?" Mai asked.
"I got a few tips from the locals there might be something worth killing here." Struthers said.
"We can handle this." Sean said.
"Oh I doubt that if that thing wrecking your boat is any indication." Struthers said.
"Whatever." Sean said walking away with Nick and Craven.
"Oh, by the way, Mai did you get those bobcat Kabobs I sent you?" Struthers asked making her growl before stomping off with the others making him laugh. "She likes me." Struthers said to Ahmad.
"I DO NOT!" Mai yelled.
Meanwhile
Turok, Marci and her friends Rachel and Larry and her Ex boyfriend Thad walked to the lake.
"Are we close yet? Cause my feet are totally killing me." Rachel said.
"Rachel, when I told you to wear appropriate shoes strappy sandals weren't what I had in mind." Marci said making Turok laugh.
"Vogue says these are totally appropriate for summer." Rachel said.
"Did it say where though or did you just assume it meant everywhere?" Turok asked.
"You know I'll rub them if you want." Larry said.
"In your dreams you idiot." Rachel said.
Soon enough they made it to the spot and Thad and Larry rushed into the water.
"Turok? You want to go for a swim?" Marci asked.
"Uh nah I'm gonna look around. I'll come back later." Turok said walking off.
"Nice pick." Rachel said making her smile before rushing into the water.
Meanwhile
Sean waited at the docks before Dale showed up in another boat before parking right next to him.
"Hey, Kruger." Dale said.
"Thanks for coming out so quick, Dale." Sean said getting some of the weapons off.
"I brought exactly everything you told me to." Dale said.
"Good." Sean said slinging most of the gear over his shoulder.
Walking over to the others Struthers was in a chair smoking a Cigar.
"How in the hell do you have one of those? I shut down the Tobacco companies." Sean said.
"Doesn't mean there aren't people still selling whats left. A real pointless choice I might say since what do you got against Smoking?" Struthers asked.
"Lets see. Polluting the environment. Causing cancer. Influencing kids to smoke and addiction body damage and bad teeth. Uh bad smell..." Sean trailed off.
"Ok I get it." Struthers said.
"Why don't you just get out of here? I'm sure there are a bunch of unemployed 10-year-olds in Asia you could be exploiting." Mai said.
"Come on now, Mai. You're not still holding a grudge about them sill Bobcats, are you?" Struthers said.
"Let me see? Hunting animals that have done no wrong..." Sean tried to say.
"I GET IT!" Struthers yelled making him laugh.
"In honesty animal numbers are coming back up because of our cloning allies. Still poaching rare animals is still Illegal and will be from now on." Sean said making him sigh.
"You know you take out all the fun in everything right?" Struthers said.
"Whatever. We're not even going to kill this thing anyway. Protocol on animals like this are always the same. Subdue and relocate to a more preferred environment instead of just putting them down first. Thats a last resort." Sean said.
"And just how are we gonna lure it into a trap?" Craven asked a little fearful.
"Uh." Sean tried to say.
Soon they had the trap ready and as bait they used...Uh a turtle. (Seriously? A fucking turtle? Thats the best they could do in the movie)
"This is so stupid." Frank said.
"It's all we could find." Sean said as they hid in a bush waiting before Struthers came out looking at the trap.
"Well, now, that is absolutely brilliant. You do realize the thing has eaten a human being, don't you?" Struthers asked.
"Good point get in there. It might actually like the taste of an idiot." Mai said making Sean chuckle.
"Suppose you'd prefer if we just lobbed in a land mine?" Sean asked.
"To messy. Besides wheres the fun in that?" Struthers asked before something triggered the trap. A wild Boar to be exact.
"Not what I was hoping for." Sean said before Craven handed him a stick and he tried to move the sack back and forth to set it lose. But on the last push the Croc came out and gobbled it down.
"SHIT!" Sean yelled grabbing the Tranq gun and started firing at it as it ran away.
"You can just shot and spray you gotta know what you're aiming at." Struthers said before the sounds stopped.
"I think you got it." Randy said before they heard growling next to them making them turn and saw it was out cold with the amount of tranq darts in it.
"Wouldn't that kill it?" Craven asked.
"Nah. This stuff was made from Forerunners. If theres to much of it in the blood work all it does it disintegrate to make the proper dose." Sean said.
"I got this." Dale said moving to tie the mouth up. However it suddenly woke up and bit his arm off making him scream before it pushed Frank into a tree into the hole before running off with Dale into the water.
"That shouldn't have happened." Monique said in shock before Sean went down to check Frank and sighed.
"He's dead. Ok...Now we do things the hard way." Sean said getting out.
Meanwhile
Turok was walking through the forest before he slipped into a stream.
"Fuck." Turok said before seeing something odd.
In front of him was some kind of hut or something like it.
Raising an eyebrow he went back to the others.
Arriving back at the group he saw them trying to set up tents.
"Hey guys, come take a look at what I found." Turok said.
"What is it?" Marci asked.
"Not really sure. Something big thats for sure." Turok said as he, Marci and Thad left while Rachel and Larry stayed.
Meanwhile
Sean pulled out a large case before pulling out a large gun that went over his shoulder making Struthers whistle.
"My, my. What kind of beauty is this?" Struthers asked impressed.
"This is Spartan Laser. This a new design. Capable of completely reducing a target to dust. Hasn't been field tested yet so now's a good time as any to use it." Sean said.
"And your gonna use it on a croc? Seems a little overkill." Nick said.
"I don't know. Theres something off about it. Like the Tranq darts. Those should have put to sleep for a day at best. Instead it woke up in a minute. There is something that Croc. I can just feel it." Sean said.
Meanwhile
"Here it is." Turok said showing the hut.
"Holy shit." Thad said walking to it.
"What is it?" Marci said.
"I don't know but It's big thats for sure." Turok said.
"Hey check this out." Thad said looking inside.
Back with Larry and Rachel
Larry was still in the lake Swiming when he felt something pass by under him making him look around.
"Huh." Larry said.
"I told you to stay away from my feet, Larry! You fucking perv!" Rachel said feeling something on her feet. Larry looked and widened his eyes.
"RACHEL THATS NOT ME!" Larry yelled making her look and screamed seeing a Giant Croc by her feet while Larry rushed to her.
"LARRY!" Rachel yelled as he tried to pull her away before she screamed as she was dragged into the lake before a pool of blood was seen making him yell.
"HELP! HEEELLLLP!" Larry yelled before getting his clothes and ran.
Turok, Thad and Marci looked inside the hut seeing a pile of eggs.
"What do you think built this thing?" Marci asked.
"Probably a witch. Wait turn around she's right behind you." Thad said.
"Enough." Turok said looking at the egg.
"What do you think?" Marci asked.
"Judging from the shape of the egg I'd say its reptilian in nature." Turok said.
"Wait I think I know what kind of egg it is." Thad said throwing one at a tree making it go splat. "Scrambled." Thad laughed.
"Thats not funny. Thats a living creature." Turok said.
"Oh lighten up. It's just an egg." Thad said.
"I'm more worried about whatever the fuck laid it you dumb shit." Turok said before Thad got in his face.
"Don't start something you can't finish. It will be your darkest hour slave boy." Thad said before Turok pulled him into a head lock. (Yeah I think we can all agree he'd go that far)
"I really hate that fucking name." Turok said squeezing the air out of his lungs.
"Turok calm down." Marci said placing her hands on his shoulders before he let go.
"Jeez. It was just a joke." Thad said trying to breathe before Turok and Marci widened their eyes. "What?" Thad asked before turning around and yelled seeing a giant croc before it tried to eat him. Turok tried to turn into the Ghost Rider state but it wasn't working.
"Again? Now what?" Turok yelled before trying to calm it down but nothing worked before it ate Thad. "RUN!" Turok yelled as the two bolted.
"I thought your powers were back!" Marci yelled.
"So did I. Something about that croc isn't right!" Turok yelled.
Meanwhile
Sean, Ahmad and Nick were on the boat Dale brought while Struthers was in the air.
"We good on lane?" Sean asked.
"Yeah. I got all the equipment monitoring the water. Once we get a location we can track her down." Craven said.
"Lets try to be careful. This croc is clearly not normal." Elsie said.
"Copy that." Struthers said flying over the boat.
"Struthers a pretty good Pilot?" Sean asked.
"No, not really. He's failed every flight test known to man. He's crashed three times already. Once was even into an elementary school. Poor kids." Ahmad said.
"And you didn't mention this before he took off because?" Nick asked.
"No one asked." Ahmad said.
"Great." Sean said annoyed.
"Got it. It's moving fast towards the boat." Mai said.
"Copy that." Sean said turning around to face it.
"Wait. I lost it." Mai said.
"How the fuck did it disappear like that?" Sean asked before the croc came out and took the bait dangling in front of the boat before Ahmad fired a harpoon into it making it go down.
"Got it." Ahmad said reeling it in but for some reason there was no resistance before it came back up with no croc. "No. That shouldn't have happened. I saw it go right in." Ahmad said.
Suddenly tendrils came out of the water.
"WHAT THE FUCK!" Sean yelled before Struthers flew down before one of the tendrils grabbed the bottom of the plane yanking it off and Struthers fell down into the water.
Sean and the others jumped down when the croc broke through the center of the boat.
"What is wrong with that thing?" Craven asked repulsed before the croc came on land before it was engulfed in a certain yellow ooze.
"A symbiote." Sean said before Venom took over.
"Venom."
"Crystal!" Venom said in hatred before the two began to fight with Venom having an advantage.
Venom quickly slammed Crystal down hard before placing a device on his chest.
"NOW!" Venom yelled before Nick and Monique started firing sonic weapons at Crystal who screamed in agony before she was seperated from her host and Randy burned her with a flamethrower making her screech in horror before burning up.
The croc roared at them before Ahmad jumped on it and stabbed it in the head. Sean soon took over before looking at the remains of crystal before placing her in a jar.
"This is why the Tranq darts didn't work." Sean said.
Later
"So we were dealing with another Symbiote?" Nick asked as the group gathered around the fire.
"So it seems. Venom said each and every one of them is unique. Some have special abilities. They may look alike but they all have different powers. However she and three others do share one ability. They can can act as power dampeners." Sean said.
"You mean like those cells meant for enhanced people?" Craven asked.
"Exactly. I tried to use my powers earlier but they wouldn't work now we know why. But my question is how the fuck did another one end up on Earth? Thats 3 times thats happened. First with Riot and Venom then Carnage now another. Where are they coming from?" Sean asked before Venom appeared on his shoulder.
"It's possible that the comet may have broken up and multiple fragments were scattered across the stars." Venom said.
"Well, All I know is that thing won't be eating anyone anymore." Struthers said.
Soon enough the others went to be just it began to ran. Of course Struthers was having trouble with his tent and Ahmad was not helping having enough of his selfish attitude and no appreciation.
"I'm sure your virw of the sunset will be worth it tomorrow." Ahmad said making the others laugh as they watched.
"How about being a sport and helping out for old times sake?" Struthers asked.
"How about you re-pitch your tent in the lake? Might be drier." Ahmad said.
"HAHAHA!" Sean laughed.
"You really think it's necessary for you to be enjoying yourself so much?" Struthers asked.
"Maybe no you'll have some respect for the next man who does your dirty jobs." Ahmad said making him growl before Ahmad zipped up his tend and sighed in relaxation.
"WELL, I HOPE YOU'RE NICE AND COZY IN THERE!" Struthers yelled.
"Yes. Very comfortable thank you." Ahmad said.
"SON OF A BITCH! Goddamnit!" Struthers yelled.
Meanwhile
Turok and Marci ran through the forest trying to get away from the croc.
"Can we stop for a break?" Marci asked.
"We need to get away from that thing as far as possible " Turok said.
"Turok, We don't even know where we are." Marci said.
"Ok. We'll take a quick break." Turok said before they heard branches breaking making them tense up before it was Larry who appeared.
"Oh, God! Thank god it's you guys!" Larry said.
"Larry!" Marci said hugging him.
"Wheres Rachel?" Turok asked.
"She didn't make it man. Wheres Thad?" Larry asked.
"Same." Turok said.
"Oh my god! We're gonna die, man!" Larry yelled.
"We'll survive just so long as we avoid that thing." Turok said.
Meanwhile
Everyone was in their tents fast asleep.
Suddenly however Venom woke up with a growl.
"What?" Sean asked looking around before Venom sniffed the air.
"Fang!" Venom yelled before another Symbiote crocodile tore his tent apart before Venom taking over threw him into a tree.
"Another one!" Mai yelled in shock beofre Venom and Fang roared at each other before Fang tire to bite him but Venom grabbed the jaws and snapped them before throwing him away next to the lake and quickly healed before roaring at them and left back into the lake. Sean quickly took over.
"Great. That one of the other four that could dampen powers?" Sean asked.
"Yup." Venom said.
"Fuck." Sean said before getting on the comms.
Meanwhile
"I don't get it. I thought Sean said all the crocs in this lake were gone." Marci said.
"Wait his has happened before?" Larry asked.
"13 years ago this lake was infested with two giant crocs. If I had to guess that one is probably an offspring." Turok said before spotting a high branch. "Come on this way." Turok said getting Marci up before he and Larry climbed up.
Meanwhile
"Talbot?" Sean said on the comms.
"Yeah? Hows your vacation down there going?" Talbot asked.
"Gone to hell. We've more crocs down here and whats worse is that I don't know how many have bonded with some symbiotes down here. I need some help." Sean said.
"Oh great. I'll get some men down there." Talbot said.
"Thanks." Sean said before looking at the others. "I think Turok and Marci's friends are also out there. Load up we got a stop to make." Sean said.
Soon enough they arrived at Crazy Sadie's.
"Sadie. I need to talk to you." Sean said seeing Sadie working on a Pickaxe.
"You're a little late, Kruger. Did you get that warrant?" Sadie asked.
"Look. I don't have time for games. I've got some questions. I need some straight answers." Sean said.
"Well, Unless you're arresting me all I got for you is nothing." Sadie said.
"Have it your way." Sean said with a pair of cuffs making her sigh.
"I already told you. I don't know anything about this crocodile business." Sadie said.
"Goddamnit, Sadie. I don't have time for this. I need some answers." Sean said as they went inside.
"Too bad you can't talk to my sister. I heard she had quite a history with crocodiles." Sadie said.
"Look my little brother and his girlfriend's friends are out there." Sean said making her sigh.
"Maybe I know something. There are three of them. Two men one female." Sadie said.
"Have you noticed them acting strange lately?" Sean asked.
"Well, last month I did notice they were acting more hungry when some rock fell out of the sky." Sadie said.
"Rock?" Sean asked before she pulled it out showing some hole in the center. "I recognize this stuff. It's from the comet." Seans said.
"Ever since then they've been acting different." Sadie said.
"Ok thanks. Listen your crocs have been compromised. I'll try to put them down as human as I can but..." Sean tried to say.
"Good luck." Sadie said as they left. "My babies won't be as humane with you." Sadie said slamming an axe down.
Later
"TUROK!" Sean yelled seeing a dead body next to a nest of eggs. "Hey I recognize that kid. That's Thaddeus, old man Sander's kid. The hell happened here?" Sean asked before he got a closer look at the nest. "Eggs." Sean said before looking around seeing one smashed. "Kid must have smashed one and pissed off the mother." Sean said before Venom appeared on his shoulder.
"I sense new Symbiotes inside these eggs." Venom said.
"Fuck. We gotta blow this nest. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't kill animal life before it began but in this case they aren't part of the natural order." Sean said.
"We'll set the charges. Go look for your brother." Struthers said.
"Right." Sean said taking the Spartan Laser with him.
Turok, Marci and Larry soon got down from the tree they were sleeping on.
"Now what?" Marci asked before they spotted the croc.
"Shit." Turok said trying to use his powers but they wouldn't work. "DAMNIT!" Turok said before Fang took over the Croc. "And this just got worse." Turok said before a green laser hit the Croc turning it and Fang to dust.
"Turok." Sean said rushing to him.
"Oh thank Christ." Turok said before his hands were engulfed in blue flames. "Finally. What is up with my powers? The two year gap is over." Turok said.
"These Symbiotes have some field that dampens powers like Cisco's cells do for anyone enhanced. Thats why we can't use our power when they are close by. I'm getting you guys out of here." Sean said.
Later
After dropping Turok, Marci and Larry at Sadie's Sean went back to the others.
"Ouch!" Larry yelled as Turok healed his wounds.
"Chill out." Turok said.
"Don't take this the wrong way dear but you look nothing like your brother." Sadie said.
"I'm adopted. My entire family was killed off when I was six because of that idiot Senator Kelly. Thought my entire family were Mutants. Didn't even bother to check to see if that fact was true." Turok said.
"I can't believe those freaks were out there. Killing people just for food." Marci said making Sadie frown.
"Turok was it?" Sadie asked.
"Yeah?" Turok asked.
"Will you do an old lady a favor?" Sadie asked leading them outside.
"I don't like it out here." Marci said.
"I don't sense anything around us right now." Turok said as he and Larry fixed a light bulb.
While they were doing this Sadie led Marci to the docks to look at some fish.
Turok then felt his powers shut off.
"Uh dude." Larry said in alarm.
"What?" Turok said looking behind him seeing the croc and Sadie trying to push Marci into the water before he rushed at them and pulled Marci away and Sadie got pulled into the water by the very thing she loved and torn to pieces.
"RUN!" Larry yelled as they ran into the house and locked the door as they tired to barge in but couldn't.
Turok looked outside and saw two of them leaving.
"Theres four of them." Turok said.
Meanwhile
"Bombs are placed." Mai said before she heard some noises. "What are they doing?" Mai asked.
"They make that noise to let the mother know their about to hatch." Elsie said before the mother came in and on her way Completely crushed NIGEL.
"NIGEL!" Craven cried out in horror.
"Uh she's not going to the nest." Randy said.
"Nope. Mai is a lot closer to them." Sean said in alarm before she ducked into an empty log and the mother tried to smash it before Mai pulled out a special blade and stabbed it right in the neck before releasing a sonic pulse that made the Symbiote come out and Sean fired the Laser at it turning it to dust.
"SON OF A BITCH DIDN'T HAVE A CHANCE!" Struthers yelled before Sean rushed to Mai and pulled her out.
"You ok?" Sean asked before she pulled him into a kiss.
"Oh isn't that lovely." Struthers said before the last Croc came out with a green Symbiote skin. "OH SHIT!" Struthers yelled as they ran while the Croc charged right at Sean before Turok pushed them out of the way.
"Damnit Turok! I told you..." Sean tried to say.
"Sadie lied there are four of these fuckers." Turok said.
"Kruger!" Struthers yelled throwing a grenade launcher to him before Sean shot the nest blowing it and the croc and Symbiote to hell.
"God. I hate crocs just as much as I hate sharks." Sean said laying down.
"Oh so you hate normal animals but you're ok with xenomorphs?" Turok asked.
"First of all the ones at the temple are influenced by Unicron so I don't hate them nearly as much as I do the others. Second of all I've only had to deal with them once. ONCE! I've had to deal with Crocs and Sharks way more." Sean said.
"Oh." Turok said understanding his reason.
Later
"Had a nice vacation?" Talbot asked.
"Shut up." Sean said making him laugh.
"I'll take that kind of vacation any day of the year." Turok said before Reznov approached them.
"Can I talk to you two alone?" Reznov asked.
"Sure." Sean said as the three went into a separate room.
"Whats up?" Turok asked.
"We finished our interrogation of Kelly while you were gone. Listen something isn't adding up. Lane and Ross did some digging. According to multiple people Hope was actually a government asset with anything involving Nature like Natural disasters and wild animals. Kelly shouldn't have even learned about that place since he didn't have the clearance to know about it." Reznov said.
"Whoa wait a minute. What are you trying to say?" Turok asked.
"We're under the impression that Kelly might have been a pawn in a much bigger plot. He gave a statement that someone told him about the town. He wouldn't say who though. I think he's more afraid of them then us. Meaning theres something more sinister going on." Reznov said.
"The town is public knowledge though." Sean said.
"Not exactly. It wasn't public knowledge till AFTER the slaughter. Meaning someone planed out its destruction carefully. There are only a small handful of people in the government that could do that." Reznov said making Sean frown.
"So we're back to square one. We know nothing." Turok said.
"Kelly knows something. We'll get him to talk." Sean said.
Meanwhile
Kelly sat in the corner of his cell before the small slot on top opened up.
"Hello Senator."
Kelly looked up and widened his eyes.
"What are you doing here?" Kelly asked before the sprinklers turned on making him groan before he smelled it. "Fuel?"
Suddenly a match was thrown in and hit the ground before catching on fire with Kelly who screamed in agony as he was burned alive.
Authors Note: Uh oh. So Kelly was nothing but a pawn in an even bigger plot. This was inspired by my most Loyal Guest who was right about Kelly being a loser. So I decided to make him a pawn for someone more dangerous. Also I'm pretty sure you were the one to have Symbiotes merge with the crocs which also helped me make this chapter so thanks for the inspiration on that.
