I woke up in the nurse's office, and Jeremy sat beside me, wip ing his eyes. It was a relief to see a familiar face, but I couldn't help but wonder if he was that worried about me.

'Oh, you're awake.' said the nurse cheerfully.

'What happened?'

'You fainted in the cafeteria.'

'It's probably low blood sugar.' I began.

'Have you been taking your medications?'

'Medications?' Jeremy echoed.

'Antidepressants.' I explained. 'I only have half a tablet when I'm super stressed.'

'When was the last you took one?'

'When they found Vicky.'

'Bella, that was a month ago.'

'I don't like taking them.' I insisted. 'I can usually calm myself down.'

'Why don't you like to take them?'

I squirmed. 'Back home, I was labeled as the schizo kid. I didn't want that following me here.'

'Why do you take anti-depressants?'

'Because of my dad's accident.'

'Your dad's accident?'

'My dad got shot; that's when my identity crisis began.'

Jeremy got teary-eyed and turned away as the nurse flatly stated, 'You need to take those.'

'I'm sorry about-'

'Your friends are outside.'

'What friends?'

'My sister, Rick, and the Salvatores.'

'Send them away.'

'Are you sure?' Asked the nurse.

'I need to think-'

'We're here to see Bella Swan.' I heard Caroline's voice announce.

'I'm Rosalie Hale, and this is Caroline Forbes-'

'Oh, Isabella's grandmother said you were coming, Miss Forbes.' the nurse said as I corrected her. 'And Jeremy Gilbert said you could probably piece together what to Isabella.'

'Bella.' I corrected the nurse again.

I saw Saltman trying to get past the nurse, but I shouted that I only wanted the people in the room and my grandmother.

Why were they so interested in me all of a sudden?
