Deep beneath the ocean lay a temple hidden within a deep cavern. Within that cavern, the only illumination was light from several pillars and red patches around it. In the middle of the cavern lay the colossal carcass of the beast once known as Gigan Rex, hooked up to a wall by wires. The only inhabitant of the cavernous ruins, a young woman wearing a white toga, walked up the steps to the altar where the carcass laid and knelt down.
She was the last of an ancient civilization known as the Seatopians. Tens of thousands of years ago, they had allied with cockroaches from the stars known as the Space Hunter Nebula M, and together they built an army of Gigans and set out to control the rest of the world. Gigan Rex was the original, and had destroyed the original seatopian city of Sorabito before the Seatopians allied with the nebulans.
The Seatopians and Nebulans had also been trying to create an ultimate bio-engineered kaiju together, which they had dubbed Megalon. Unfortunately, they had been defeated before Megalon could be completed, with the nebulans being wiped out by their own creations and the seatopians being exiled underground by Mothra.
The seatopian's numbers had slowly diminished over the following millenia, until this girl was the only one left. But now, with Gigan Rex's corpse delivered to them on a silver platter, they finally had the last ingredient to complete Megalon and take revenge on the surface world. The last seatopian knelt down and held her palm out, showing a necklace with multiple spikes protruding all over it, its gray color befitting the ominous atmosphere.
The last Seatopian then said,
"Give the enemies on the Earth their retribution, by sacrificing the beast of Sorabito. Wake up, Megalon."
Gigan Rex's corpse then glowed red, and that red light transported over to the cables and flowed into the wall. The wall then glowed red, and yellow eyes appeared in the wall. A loud roar resounded across the cavern, and a kaiju exploded out of the wall. It was a 120 meter insect who possessed the head of a rhinoceros beetle, the body of a cicada, and drills for hands.
Megalon then extended the wings on his back and began digging out of the cavern. The last seatopian smirked.
Meanwhile on Adoana island, Godzilla Jr was eating a whale that he had just finished hunting. It had been rather peaceful since the defeat of Gigan Rex, which Jr wasn't complaining about. However, he then heard the fluttering of wings. He turned around and saw Mothra hovering in front of him. Jr let out an annoyed grunt, which would translate to,
"What do you want?"
Mothra responded with chirps that translated to,
"I need your help. Remember what I told you about the seatopians and the nebulans?"
"Yeah. What about it?"
"I sense that the seatopians have awakened their ultimate weapon. You must head to Tokyo quickly."
Jr pondered for a moment, but then replied,
"Alright. I'll do it."
Jr then set off to Japan. It took a few hours of swimming, but Jr was a very fast swimmer. Unfortunately for Jr, this trip didn't go unnoticed by the Japanese government. Battleships were quickly mobilized and loaded up with rockets containing recreations of the Anti Nuclear Energy Bacteria. Luckily they had had no shortage of G-cells after the Gigan's attack, so recreating the ANEB had been a fairly simple affair.
They had also recreated the cryolasers and attached them to the battleships. They were the first to fire on Godzilla, annoying him and causing him to fire his atomic breath near them as a warning shot. However, the fleet kept firing even as Jr stepped onto shore, hitting him with the ANEB missiles which began to slow him down and weaken him. They also dropped bombs containing the ANEB for good measure.
A few hours later, Tokyo was being evacuated as Jr stepped closer and closer to the place where the Gigan Miles remains were stored. Within a skytrain that was evacuating the city, a man was filming a video of the devastation. A woman next to him asked him,
"Are you taking a video of this emergency?"
The man smirked at her and replied,
"Don't worry, it's very far from here, and the news said that Godzilla got subdued."
He then noticed Jr over the horizon and yelled,
"Look, look! I can see Godzilla!"
"What? Isn't it too dangerous?"
The man told her not to worry, but they then both screamed as Jr fired another warning shot. Meanwhile, Toku-G-Tai soldiers and tanks were mobilizing to drive off Godzilla. The tanks fired at him with their ANEB missiles, and Toku-G-Tai commander Hikaru Kimuya told the troops over the communicator,
"The moving speed of the target is slowing down, keep shooting!"
As they kept shooting, Kimuya then contacted the rest of the military and told them,
"Report from Toku-G-Tai. They confirmed power reduction of atomic breath and the effectiveness of the special bombs. Internal thermo-nuclear energy has been reduced to about 30%. It's quite drained. I wonder why it won't go away."
As the unrelenting Godzilla Jr approached the North Gate, helicopters were deployed to defend it. Meanwhile, in the midst of the chaos, a vlogger was filming footage from the area where the Gigan Miles carcasses were stored. He told his viewers,
"Yeah, this is where the dead Gigans are stored. The news said that Godzilla destroyed all the Gigans, but it still continues to search and destroy. I think there's something left."
The vlogger then saw a helicopter flying overhead and said,
"But I heard the serious announcement. I think I better get going now."
However, before the vlogger could go, he heard military men talking and went to investigate. He saw a squad of troops walking up to a strange woman in a white toga who was facing away from them. The leader, Hikaru Kimuya, remarked,
"That woman seems to have something to do here."
The soldiers all then knelt down and pointed their guns at the woman, with Kimuya telling her,
"Put your hands up and turn around slowly."
The woman then raised her left hand slowly, and the pendant in her palm flashed. The next moment, all of the soldiers, including Kimuya, fell to the floor unconscious. The woman then glowed as the pendant flashed again, and at the moment the ground began to rumble. The ground beneath the buildings where the Gigan Miles were stored began to cave in, causing them to fall into the Earth one by one.
As the last seatopian watched, Megalon burst out of the ground in his full glory, landing on solid Earth and roaring at the tanks stationed at the area. A red thorn like crystal then appeared out of his mouth and fired at one of tanks, blowing it to smithereens. Megalon then fired another one at the helicopter that had been flying overhead, causing it to spiral to the ground and explode in a massive fireball.
As Megalon gazed at the destruction, he spread his wings and looked to the sky. The wings began flapping faster and faster, until finally Megalon jumped into the air, flying into the distance. The last seatopian looked at him, confident that seatopia would finally have its revenge.
A few minutes later, Prime minister Yuji sat anxiously, awaiting the next update on the attack. After 25 years of peace they had had 2 kaiju attacks over the span of less than a month. Fate really wasn't favoring them, was it? One of his cabinet members then ran into the room looking panicked. Yuji asked him
"What's wrong?"
The cabinet member, exhausted, told the prime minister,
"Sori-Daijin! You must see this!"
He gave the prime minister a tablet, and on it was footage of Megalon's emergence. Yuji was left utterly shocked, muttering,
"Not another kaiju…"
The cabinet member then told him,
"Our scientists have noted that this mysterious figure resembles a figure found on ancient tablets in the waters off infant island known as Megalon. A dark god who Mothra had barely stopped from awakening 12,000 years ago."
"Megalon…"
Luckily, after the Gigan Invasion and the formation of Toku-G-Tai, the government had sent several mining teams to research the ruins on Infant island to find out about any more kaiju they might be unaware of. The prime minister then asked his cabinet member,
"What's the word on the evacuation?"
"Most of the people have been moved to transport trucks, sir. But it'll take a few more hours to get everyone."
"Tell personnel to hurry them up! And tell them Megalon's name as well!"
"Y-Yes, sir!"
The cabinet member then ran out of the room, and Yuji put his hand on his chin in contemplation. At this rate. It seemed like they would once again need to rely on their greatest enemy to stop a threat none of them were prepared for. He just hoped that if Godzilla won, Japan would still be safe.
