It was night time in Tokyo, and the entire city was still evacuating. On the streets, a newscast was blaring saying,
"A new monster has appeared. It emerged from the ground, destroyed some military vehicles and flew away. Now it's moving in the sky. Toku-G-Tai is searching by radar."
The reporter stopped for a moment as he received a new report from his assistance. Surprised, he cleared his throat and said,
"Y-Yes, they are planning a massive missile strike. Evacuation routes could totally change! Follow evacuation instructions and stay calm."
Within the evacuating crowd, a man looked into the sky and said,
"Look, a lot of fighters in the sky!"
He looked besides him at his wife and told her,
"They seem to be attacking the new monster!"
"Yeah…"
3 jets soared over the citizens' heads, but as they vanished over the horizon, there were suddenly 2 flashes of light and the sounds of explosions. As the crowd speculated on what was happening, the head of the evacuation yelled over a megaphone,
"The monster is approaching quickly!"
The citizens began to run, and as the wife was panicking, her husband told her to head with him to the subway. However, as they did so, they looked up and saw Megalon flying over them. The only thing the husband could say was,
"Watch…WATCH OOOOUUUUTTT!!!"
Megalon then fired one of his crystal needles, killing the couple and destroying a tank. The beetle monster flew over the city, and as Godzilla was still being bombarded by the military, he heard Megalon flying overhead and looked up. Seeing Godzilla as a threat, Megalon fired multiple crystal needles at the ground, one of them hitting the young monster king and causing him to flinch in pain.
Megalon then touched down, causing a massive explosion that crumbled buildings and flipped roads. As the Toku-G-Tai scanned the area where Megalon had impacted, which was covered in dust and debris that made it impossible to actually see the kaiju, the commander said over the intercom,
"Target confirmed to be "Megalon." Keep confirming the situation in the crater."
The prime minister had already contacted them and told them Megalon's name, so now they had that. As this was happening, Godzilla stepped forward, shaking off the debris from Megalon's impact that had gotten on him. At the same time, Megalon stood up and stared Godzilla down. The beetle kaiju eventually roared at Godzilla, with the monster king responding in kind.
He then stepped forward and attempted to wack Megalon with his tail, but the beetle kaiju flew above him. In return, Godzilla fired his atomic breath, shredding some of the rubble of Tokyo that hadn't already been destroyed. However, before the blast could hit Megalon, the beetle kaiju fired an electric beam out of his horns, stunning Godzilla in place. As Godzilla struggled, he realized that for some reason he felt far weaker than he should be.
Realizing the need to compensate for this, Godzilla roared, letting out a nuclear pulse that dispelled the lightning surrounding him. However, instead of the blue light that glowed from his body fading away like it usually did, Junior drew his fist back as the energy started to crawl up his arm. Not noticing this, Megalon dove in for the kill, only to be met with a fistful of atomic radiation that sent him flying and kicked up a huge amount of dust.
The beetle kaiju wasn't knocked off his feet however, and simply stared at Godzilla in surprise. The humans were just as surprised, but one of the scientists scanning the kaiju soon realized what Godzilla had done. He remarked,
"Godzilla's harnessing his atomic energy into his limbs for energy efficiency. I've never seen such a skill..."
He then suddenly received a call over the radio from one of the soldiers, who told him,
"Megalon's surface temperature is increasing! It appears to be powering up!"
"Then what will you do, Godzilla?"
As the scientist said this, Godzilla landed another nuclear punch on Megalon, followed by a brief "bullet" of his atomic breath. In response, Megalon fired his mouth crystals at Godzilla, which exploded on impact and knocked the monster king to the ground. Megalon then leaped into the air, but Godzilla got on his back and used a nuclear pulse to blast himself into the air.
The monster king flew feet first into Megalon, sending him flying. Once Megalon landed on the ground, Godzilla ran forward and grabbed him by the horn. Megalon attempted to send an electric pulse into Godzilla's arm, but the monster king managed to ignore the pain, even as Megalon struck the arm he was shocking with his left drill hand.
When that didn't work, Megalon attempted to strike Godzilla with his other drill hand, but it was caught by the monster king, who sent Megalon flying back with yet another pulse. This time, Megalon was unable to stand up, and collapsed to the ground. Godzilla, his hand still scorched from his last attack, let out an exhausted roar. It was finally over. Now he could go tell Mothra that Megalon was dead and return to his solitary life.
However, as Jr was beginning to walk away, the last seatopian appeared in front of Megalon's face while holding up the engraved stone. Her entire body then suddenly glowed and vanished in a small flash of light. In order to allow Megalon to have enough strength to defeat Godzilla, the last seatopian had given up her autonomy and merged herself with Megalon.
In her mind, it would be worth it so that they could exact their revenge. Megalon then stood up and roared, having been completely regenerated by the last seatopian's spirit. Megalon then spread his wings and held up his arms, then putting them together. His drill hands then extended and interlocked into one massive drill.
The beetle kaiju then flew at Godzilla, smashing into him with the force of a rocket and propelling him across the destroyed city. As the young monster king struggled to break free, Megalon roared at him, which when translated meant,
"It is over, inferior being. We will raze this world in memory of Seatopia, and you shall be forgotten."
In response, Jr defiantly roared and began attempting to access his white fire form. However, due to the ANEB rockets, he was only able to summon this power for a split second. Realizing that he had to take advantage of this, Jr focused on Megalon's midsection and fired off his white atomic breath. Before the beetle kaiju could react, it was already over.
A massive explosion engulfed the city ruins, causing a massive fireball to appear above it. Luckily, the scientists and soldiers observing the battle were far enough that they were spared from death. After a few moments, the soldiers were ordered by their commander to search the ruins to see if the kaiju survived.
2 observing jets flew over the area, and as they surveyed it they saw Megalon cut in half. The beetle kaiju's eyes were still glowing golden for a brief moment, but they soon turned pitch black. With that, the seatopians and their legacy were eradicated once and for all. The jets also noticed Godzilla roaring victoriously, though his right stomach was clearly badly burned.
However, the monster king then collapsed to his knees and fell to the ground, his energy spent. Seeing this, one of the pilots told the others over the intercom,
"Mission control. Target "Megalon" is confirmed deceased. Godzilla's status is unknown. He collapsed and suffered severe injuries."
As the other Toku-G-Tai forces moved in, they all observed Godzilla in trepidation. As the seconds passed, they all wondered if this was it. Was Japan's greatest foe finally gone for good? After a few more moments, the commander spoke once again over the intercom.
"Mission over. The alert has been lifted. Keep your eyes on Godzilla and keep confirming the area of damage."
"Yes sir."
As Toku-G-Tai continued surveying the area, Godzilla's unconscious form twitched. A millisecond later, his eyes opened. Standing up to his full height, the monster king roared to the sky in triumph. Seeing this, one of the jet pilots told his superior officer over the radio,
"Commander, Godzilla is awake! I repeat: Godzilla is awake!"
Every military vehicle present then turned their attention to the monster king, readying their weapons and waiting for him to make the first move. However, instead of attacking the humans. Godzilla stared at them briefly before walking into the distance. The humans looked on in amazement before eventually leaving as well.
A few hours later, Godzilla arrived at infant island, being met by a shocked Mothra. She chirped at him, asking him,
"Are you alright, Jr?
Godzilla replied,
"Yeah. I'm good. Just the humans and Megalon were more annoying than I expected."
Mothra sadly shook her head, lamenting that she wasn't strong enough to aid Jr in his battle. However, there was no changing that now. Godzilla then turned around and told Mothra,
"I'm heading back out now. If you need me, I'll be near my old home."
Jr then waded into the ocean and vanished beneath the waves. Mothra watched on, knowing that even if she couldn't protect the Earth herself, she had a powerful and heroic ally on her side.
