Chapter 35: Battle of Argus' Pyramid Part 1
Everyone on the heroes side were the first to charge into battle. Liu Kang and Fujin fly in the air, taking the skies along with the flying crafts from Orderrealm. Kitana Kahn orders the armies of Outworld to charge as she and Jade go with them. Cyan, Shu-Shang and Daisuki join their parents while Chang Bao goes with Liu Kang and Fujin. General Cassie does the same for the Special Forces as her and Alex's son and daughter reunite with them, while King Jerrod and Queen Sindel do the same for Edenia. Aster rejoins Frost while Kung Gen joins her. Frost is pleased by this, while Takeda, Jacqui, Vera and Satoshi march with the Shirai Ryu. Hotaru rides on the crafts as he leads his now free followers.
Shao Kahn points his hammer forward in silence, ordering his own army to attack. Havik yells at the top of the lungs and throws his mace in the air, ordering his chaosrealmers to run forward. Mileena smiles and snarls loudly, excited to taste some flesh. She drew her sais and was ready to kill anyone in her path. Mavado stays behind on secret orders by Shao Kahn, leaving Seamus Lee to lead the Red Dragon members with Tessa closely behind him.
The heroes and villains charge closer and closer to each other before they all begin fighting. Each one exchanges lethal blows to each other, knocking each other or killing each other as blood spills and screams are heard. No one is holding back their strength; they are going all out this time.
Johnny Cage, Sonya Blade and Jax Briggs are on the defensive line. "Man. Few days of retirement and all of this shit goes down? God forbids us to even go through a whole week?" Johnny complains.
"Still. Old habits die hard. Besides, even when I'm old, I can't help but miss these old toys of mine. Can't let Cassie hog them all to herself." Sonya smirks.
Jax fires heat from his arms and shoots an explosive bullet from his shotgun and it hits the ground and explodes, killing several undead. "Hot damn. But this is worth it. Gotta tangle at least one more time before retirement." Jax smiles, missing the old times.
"Y'know what they say: Throw another shrimp on the barbie!" Johnny quotes, while Sonya rolls her eyes.
"Just shut up and keep blasting these assholes, honey." Sonya said as she kept firing.
"Crooks, angry wifes. Anyone can be a critic these days." Johnny sighs, making Jax snicker.
Alex, Cassie and the twins fire their respective ranged weapons at the undead coming near them. Cassie runs and shoots two of the undead before jumping and kicking two in the head, jumps over another one and kicks it in the back, and shoots several of the dead while Alex parries a scratch attack and shoots it point blank in the head before shooting a few more dead before he activates his powers and shoots fire at dozens of undead before using thunder powers to obliterate them. He then uses wind powers to throw several in the air and then uses water powers to drown and throw them down. Anthony does two backflip shadow kicks to kill a couple of them before using his rifle to shoot several dead. When one attempted to claw his face, he swings one of his tonfas across the chest before stabbing it in the heart and head with his tonfas. Flora fires energy beams and makes holes through several of them before rolling under one and shoots a few bullets in its back before she turns and shoots several more in the head with her guns. As they hide in some rubble, some soldiers protect them.
Anthony and Flora immediately hug their parents tight. "Oh my fucking god. I can't believe this. Y'all are alive! How?" Flora looks at them.
"We heard explosions and lost all contact with you. We thought you were dead. Going on without you two was insane, it was not easy." Anthony tearfully said.
"Gotta thank the fire god for that. His time powers saved us. We had to wait till the right time, though I hated to do that." Cassie tells them.
"We watched you guys. You managed to get through this so far without our help. Thank god you two signed up." Alex joked, making Anthony and Flora smile as they hugged again. Then they hear snarling and ground pounding. As they look up, it's Reptile and Ferra/Torr. They see the Cage family and evilly smirk.
"Welp you two. It's your time to shine." Cassie said. The twins turn to her in surprise, unsure if she was kidding. "That's an order, Sergeant and Specialist." The twins smirk and briefly salute her. Alex gives Flora enough powers from each element and Flora smiles greatly. They go to fight them while Alex and Cassie nod to each other, knowing they got this.
Anthony engages Reptile while Flora fights Ferra/Torr. "You should have stayed home when you had the chance, boy. That will be your fatal mistake." Reptile threatens him.
"Coming from the lizard man who always gets his ass kicked, especially by a movie actor." Anthony insults him.
"You will be my dinner, earthrealmer!" Reptile said before they fight.
Reptile throws his long tongue out to grab Anthony's tonfas, but he yanks him and elbows Reptile in the forehead followed by a punch to the face and tonfa swings across the forehead and left knee. Anthony swing kicks him in the chest twice before wrapping his legs around his neck and throws him to the ground before stepping back. Reptile gets up and spits acid from his mouth to kill him, but Anthony swiftly dodges it and slides and swings a tonfa at his right waist and back kicks him in the back of the head, stumbling Reptile. Anthony then punches his head, knees his back followed by two kicks, sending Reptile forward.
Reptile pulls Anthony in by the arm with his tongue before he does a chop strike to the left rib cage, before kicking him in the face twice. He then jumps and chop strikes Anthony in the forehead twice before grabbing him by the shoulders and knee strikes his forehead before doing a slide attack, sending Anthony backwards. Anthony gets back up and he is once again grabbed by Reptile's tongue. Anthony smirks and pulls off a shadow kick, hitting Reptile in the chest, cracking it. Reptile was surprised that someone other than Johnny Cage or his daughter could pull off the move. Reptile tries to claw his face, but Anthony grabs his arm and strikes his right elbow hard with his tonfa, breaking it entirely. He takes his other tonfa and strikes his right rib cage twice, cracking it greatly and a side kick and a swing kick to the face, breaking the front of his skull. Reptile is dazed, giving Anthony a chance to deliver another strong shadow kick, sending him into a rock, head first, knocking him out.
"No dinner, no dessert ever, bitch." Anthony swears before he moves on. Over elsewhere, Flora fights Ferra/Torr and she is still very tough. But this does not faze her as Cyan joins her.
"Huh. Never fought I face someone who would turn out to be tweedle dee and tweedle dumb." Flora joked.
"You mock us, child?! Ferra/Torr rip you apart! Torr want bones as memory! Ferra want flesh to carve and eat!" Ferra/Torr said.
"God. Everyone always wants to eat humans. Have you ever thought about going full vegan?" Flora jokes again.
"Ferra will flay that tongue of yours!" Ferra yells as they continue fighting.
Torr throws some back hand strikes, but Flora avoids one and parries the other away with her batons, briefly shocking his hand. This allows her to swing a baton at Torr's left waist, chin and then both kneecaps. Flora then fires an energy beam, sending Ferra/Torr sliding down to the ground. They get up, but Flora punches the ground, stumbling him, allowing her to run up on him, kick him in the chin and face, lands and does a punch to the chest, face and a shadow shoulder bash, sending Ferra/Torr back, allowing Cyan to swing his three-sectioned staff across the head, chest and right shoulder before wrapping it around Torr, pulling him down and he jumps, stomps his face. But Ferra runs up to Flora and brings out her blades and jumps up to stab her, but she blocks the blows and does two fiery kicks, sending Ferra flying. Cyan grabs Ferra with his weapon and throws her down to the ground. Torr catches her and puts her on his back. Now they're mad.
Torr jumps forward to smash her, but she dodges to his right, but he grabs her and lifts her in the air. Torr uses his strength to try to crush Flora, causing her pain as she grunts. Ferra smirks and yells for him to kill her, but Flora, with quick thinking, uses her powers to electrocute Ferra/Torr, forcing them to let her go. Torr is stunned and Flora does two fiery punches to the stomach, chest, a fiery side kick to the left rib cage, cracking it and a roundhouse kick to the left shoulder. She fires more lightning at Torr, stunning him more. Ferra is getting pissed and jumps up from Torr's back and tries to pounce on Flora, but she quickly grabs a pistol and knocks Ferra out by the handle and she falls to the floor dead. Torr sees this and roars out loud. Before he could even attack, Flora pulls him in with the wind and with earth powers, she uppercuts his chest, cracking and breaking it, and two energy-enhanced roundhouse kicks, breaks his left rib cage and fires energy beams at his legs, nearly breaking them. Flora finishes him off by throwing her disc shields at both of his arms, slicing them off and begins to bleed out, then she slams one disc in his chest almost halfway and she takes the second disc and swings it across Torr's neck, completely taking his head off. Torr is pushed backwards as he falls back, bleeding out still.
"Next time, you get bullets to the head instead, dumb bitch." Flora smirked. Anthony comes over to see what she did.
"Was that you? Nice." Anthony compliments her.
"Thanks. I can say the same for you." Flora said, looking at Reptile's corpse. "Lead the way brother." She smiles as the siblings fist bump each other before moving on. Flora also smiles and winks at Cyan for being such a good help to her. Cyan smiles back as they look at each other before moving on. Alex and Cassie continue fighting the undead as they see that the twins have defeated Reptile and Ferra/Torr and are happy for them.
Kitana Kahn, Jade, Cyan, Daisuki and Shu-Shang continue to fight their way through more undead of their own. Shu-Shang speaks in Osh-Tekk language and orders the Osh-Tekk warriors to fire arrows at the farthest ones. And says more words in her own language to engage anyone in close combat if they come close. Cyan smirks, impressed by how she could speak it so easily, given that Kotal trained her.
Kitana cuts through as many as she could go. She swings her fans upward, creating strong wind that lifts several undead off their feet and she throws one of the fans and it flies like a boomerang and it slices all of them in half. Mileena charges towards one edenian warrior and swings her sais, cutting his throat open, throws one behind her and kills another through the heart and she jumps on another stabbing both of a warriors' eyes out and stabs him to death in the face. Upon looking up, she sees Kitana and smiles and licks her long teeth.
"Sister! Oh, it's been so long since we last saw each other! Too long in this case! So many things I must show and tell!" Mileena exclaims.
"Mileena." Kitana snarls. "After all these years, you are still the insane, hideous, excuse of a clone you are today."
"Awe. That is perhaps the nicest thing you have ever said to me! I am loving this reunion already! Come! Let us dance!" Mileena said.
"With pleasure. This will be the last dance that you will ever have." Kitana glares at her.
"Then let's make this one fun!" Mileena said before they fight.
Mileena teleports and does a dive kick, but Kitana dodges, does a chop strike to the right leg, palm strikes her across the face and knees her in the chin, kicks her in the chest before sending her upwards with her tornado spin. Kitana jumps and throws one of her fans at Mileena, but she teleports away, but the fan manages to put a cut in her left shoulder before she lands. Mileena grunts in pain, but shakes it off. She brings out her sais in time to block Kitana's fan swings. They switch between offense and defense. Kitana then hits Mileena from behind using the wind from her fans and then teleports and stomps onto her shoulders. Mileena gets up, only for Kitana to cut her right leg, get behind her and cut part of her back and kicks her away.
Mileena growls louder and roars. She suddenly teleports in front of Kitana and stabs both of her shoulders and front flip kicks her in the head twice before cutting her left leg and kicking her back. Kitana tries to throw her fans, but Mileena teleports, kicks Kitana in the chest, teleports again, kicks her in the back before throwing her down. Kitana recovers, but Mileena knees her stomach and jump kicks her in the chest before throwing her sais, but Kitana throws her fans to deflect them. Mileena runs in, jumps and sends a kick down on her head, sending her down. She spins vertically, sending Kitana in the air, knees her stomach and double kicks her in the chest, sending Kitana into a pile of rubble.
Kitana manages to recover and is tired from her fight against Mileena, who is enjoying the fight. She looks at Kitana's blood on her sai and licks it. Mileena smiles at the taste and stares at her like a predator. Mileena runs at Kitana and jumps to finish her, but Kitana gathers her fans and spins them around her like a tornado, sending her backwards. Kitana dashes in the air and chop strikes Mileena in the head, swings her fans at part of Mileena's face and left leg, and triple kicks her in the chest and backflip kicks her in the jaw, cracking it and sending her flying. Kitana folds her fans and throws them into Mileena's chest and delivers a dropkick, sending them even further. Mileena bounces back and is sent into the air. Kitana then jumps up, stabs both of her fans into Mileena's neck, throws her down and drives her closes fans into the back of Mileena's head, fatally wounding her.
Kitana jumps back and grabs her fans, ready to fight more. Mileena could barely keep her eyes open as she manages to look up at Kitana and tries to say something. She stares at Kitana and tries to reach out to her, but it is no use. Mileena finally collapses onto the ground.
"Thank the gods we are finally rid of you, you monstrosity." Kitana looks at Mileena's body with disgust and satisfaction before she moves on.
Jade and her daughter Shu-Shang continue to lead the Osh-Tekk ahead in battle against the undead. Despite some of them falling, the Osh-Tekk army are prevailing so far. Jade throws her razor rang through one's chest, killing it before she throws her bo staff through one's head before she kicks one down and thrusts her staff through its neck, killing it. Shu-Shang throws her new disc shield she carries on her back and it cuts through five undead creatures, slicing them in half. She then jumps on another one and stomps its head and it splatters. Another one comes at her, but Shu-Shang stabs it with both sickles and rips it open completely.
Shurikens suddenly come flying at her, but Jade uses her razor rangs to deflect them away from her. They both see that they belong to General Reiko. "Jade. So nice to see you again. I take that you are the new general now? Now that your husband is no more?" Reiko smirks, insulting her.
"Keep my father's name out of your mouth, you monster! He was a much better general than you ever had! He has beaten you before, and we shall do it again in his place!" Shu-Shang stand sin defiance.
"You poor Osh-Tekk child. Always so short-sighted. No wonder how he got captured and locked up by Shao Kahn in the first place. You would do well as his slave, better than your father." Reiko stares.
"You do not get to talk about my husband Kotal. He was the bravest one I have ever loved and I will always love him. And you do not dare try to touch my son! Or my daughter!" Jade yells in anger. She and Shu-Shang fight Reiko 2-on-1.
Reiko brings out his hammer as he starts swinging as Jade counters with her staff and Shu-Shang with her sickles. He slams his hammer to the ground and then tries to swing horizontally at Jade, but she jumps backwards twice. Shu-Shang strikes her sickle onto his left shoulder, knees his back and punches it, sending him to Jade, who palm strikes his right rib cage, slams her staff on his right shoulder and knees his chest. She then slams her staff onto his left shoulder and left knee. Shu-Shang then punches him in the face, followed by a backhand strike and another punch before Jade trips him with her staff and kicks him in the back by pole dancing.
Reiko bounces backwards before he gets back up. He cracks his knuckles before he starts getting serious. Shu-Shang swings her sickles again, but Reiko kicks her wrists away before kicking her on top of the head. Reiko comes in and back kicks Shu-Shang's right rib cage, partly cracking them before kicking her in the chest, sending her back. Jade swings her staff at his right shoulder, chest and face, but he blocks them all, grabs her staff and pulls her in and headbutts her and slams her down to the ground. Reiko jumps on her and punches her across the face a few times before he feels a sharp pain in his back. Shu-Shang threw both of her sickles into his back before jumping on him and forces him off of her mother. Reiko stares at the young Osh-Tekk daughter. She is much stronger than he has anticipated. Shu-Shang summons totems and with sunlight, she can feel herself growing stronger. Reiko is not intimidated as he charges at her and throws punches at her, but she grabs his wrist and slams a fist onto his elbow, nearly breaking it before Shu-Shang back hands him across the face before punching him again. Shu-Shang uppercuts him before slamming both fists on his shoulders, cracking them greatly before sending him to Jade.
Jade slams her staff right onto Reiko's head, cracking his skull greatly. She takes a razor rang and stabs his back and slices it open vertically, then uses it to cut his chest horizontally, and then slams it into his stomach. Reiko is bleeding out greatly. Jade turns to her daughter and nods to her. Shu-Shang grits her teeth in anger as she summons two totems from the ground, one in front of Reiko and another behind him. She waves her arm forward and the two totems slam into each other, ramming and crushing Reiko's right leg completely, forcing him to a knee. Shu-Shang then draws her sickles and swings one at his chest, cutting it open and blood gets on her face before she slams the other upward into his shoulder and the tip barely sticks out of it as Shu-Shang, with all her anger, summons a totem from the ground and kicks him into Jade, who then proceeds to knock Reiko into it, bringing him down.
"That is for you, father." Shu-Shang said, holding up the bloodied sickle in her hand. Jade walks up to her daughter and puts a hand on her shoulder.
"Father would be very proud of you, Shu-Shang. You will make a great general one day." Jade smiles at her daughter.
"I can learn new things from you, mother." Shu-Shang smirks at her mother before they resume their duty.
The Lin Kuei are continuing to fight their way through the enemy. Grandmaster Frost/Sub-Zero leads them like she never has before ever since the final confrontation with the Cyber Lin Kuei led by Triborg. No one is holding back against the enemy.
Smoke throws smoke spears, killing several undead followed by smoke balls, teleporting four of them from high up and they fall and splatter everywhere. Cyrax cuts his way through so many of them with his wrist blades. He fires his electro net at a couple of them, shocking them to death. He throws two handfuls of microbombs, blowing up their legs as they bleed out.
Frost jumps high in the air and freezes everything below her before she lands and slams her fists to the ground and everything around her shatters to tiny pieces. Frost summons two ice daggers and stabs one in the chest and cuts another's throat before throwing the daggers at two more of them. Frost then uses ice lances and lunges forward, stabbing four at the same time before switching to ice swords. She fires ice at the ground before she slides forward, cutting six undead in half.
Aster throws two big ice shurikens at the undead, killing at least four of them. She then waves her hand in place, summoning an icicle from her palm as she thrusts it through two undeads in the chest, freezing and killing them. Then smaller icicles appear all over her wrist and she slides her hand forward, sending the icicles at more undead, killing them instantly before she stabs one in the face with an icicle before cutting another's neck open. Kung Gen backs her up by killing as many as she could with her katana sword. The two students smile at each other as they see a familiar face approaching them.
"Still alive, are you? How annoying." Tanya said.
"You. I remember you. You tried to kill Aster. Attacked her home and nearly killed my uncle and her master." Kung Gen glares at her.
"This time, there is nowhere for you to run, Tanya. This is where we get some payback for what you have done with Mileena. I underestimated you once. Not again." Aster claims.
"Such bravado for a naive Lin Kuei child. It will be your undoing. Let us see if your ice can prevail over my fire." Tanya said as she fights both Aster and Kung Gen.
Aster fights barehanded alongside Kung Gen. They charge at Tanya. They are even faster with their attacks than before, much to Tanya's surprise. She overpowers Gen but is roundhouse kicked away by Aster. Tanya recovers but is quickly met with a elbow strike to the left rib cage, a back kick to the face, and a chop strike to the side of her neck before jumping on her shoulders and kicking her to Gen. Kung Gen does a frontflip kick to the right shoulder and a side kick to the head and throws her back to Aster. She freezes her legs in place before punching her back three times and kicks her in the back of the head two times, sending her down.
Tanya teleports to a distance before she snarls in anger. She brought out her two tonfas and was not gonna go down without a fight. This provokes Gen to use her sword while Aster brings out her ice naginata. Tanya swiftly swings her sharp tonfas, trying hard to kill the two young students. Tanya manages to outmaneuver Kung Gen by triple kicking her in the face before elbowing her in the knee followed by stabbing her right thigh before kicking her away in the stomach. Tanya then turns her attention towards Aster. She swings the naginata at Tanya, but she once again grabs it. This time, Aster dodges the attacks twice and shoots an icicle through Tanya's right leg, causing her pain before Aster double kicks her in the chin and swinging the stick part of her weapon at her head, stumbling her. Aster then covers her hands in ice and punches her in the jaw and across the face, cracking her jaw greatly, grabs her and thrusts an icicle from her palm and stabs her right shoulder, completely breaking it and finally backhands her in the forehead and straight kicks her in the left rib cage, breaking it.
Aster glares at her and chooses to finish her off. She freezes her ankles and in turn, Tanya is frozen completely.
"For the Lin Kuei." Aster whispered. She then turns to Kung Gen and offers her hand. "Are you okay, Gen?" She asked, feeling a bit worried.
"Yeah. I'm fine. Those were some amazing skills you pulled off. I knew extra training would come in handy for us both." Kung Gen compliments her.
"Well it was thanks to you. After all, it was your idea." Aster smiles at her.
"Take it from a bookworm like me. We should do that, train and see each other more often." Kung Gen blushes.
"Indeed we should." Aster also blushes. They see Frost and Kung Lao fighting more and the two students nod to each other as they move on.
Note: Sorry for being a bit late. Internet problems and taking care of my health, but I'm here. Khaos Reign's story was a letdown, but I loved playing as the three dlc characters, especially Noob Saibot. But the battle for Blaze is here. This will be split into multiple parts.
