Chapter 36: Battle of Argus' Pyramid Part 2
The Battle of Armageddon rages on. The heroes are slowly turning the tides. The villains are fighting viciously and more dangerously. Casualties are happening on both sides. Earthrealmers, Edenians, Shokans, Tarkatans, undead, Red Dragon, and Chaosrealmers are dying, but not all of them. No one is holding back on anyone or anything.
The monks are working their way up to help turn the tides against many Red Dragon members. Kung Lao and Kung Jin are working together to fight off so many of them.
Kung Jin fires his arrows in many different directions and fights many off in hand to hand combat with his bow staff. He then throws a chakram through several Red Dragons, cutting through their chests, heads and legs. Kung Lao throws his hat at one's head, cutting it off and swings it at another Red Dragon member, cutting him diagonally as his body falls to pieces. Kung Lao then uses his hat and teleports, grabs another member and throws that person down right onto his head, killing him instantly. Kung Lao then throws his hat at several more, until it is caught by Seamus Lee, who smirks as he stares at the master.
"That would be mine, Red Dragon." Kung Lao said.
"Here. Have it." Seamus Lee said as he throws the hat back at Kung Lao. He manages to catch it without a single scratch on his hand.
"You underestimate the most skilled Red Dragon commander that has ever existed. I even managed to catch Fujin off balance and surprise him.
"But you still lost from what I could tell. You have yet to meet the Shaolin Master Kung Lao. Liu Kang taught my ancestor and then taught me in the New Era." Kung Lao stands his ground.
"I am not afraid of a mere monk like you. Your ego may have died down, but you do not intimidate me." Seamus Lee mocks him.
"You do not dare call me a mere monk." Kung Lao said.
"I just did. Now prepare to die in brutality." Seamus Lee said before they fight.
Seamus Lee starts by firing chemicals at Kung Lao, who manages to block every single one of them with his hat. He then tries to use a bow and arrows which Kung Lao throws his hat to destroy all of them before grabbing it before Seamus Lee starts throwing explosives and Kung Lao teleports in three different places to safety. Seamus Lee's hands glow in purple magic. He comes in and throws numerous punches and kicks, which Kung Lao dodges. He then does a punch across the chest, cuts his chest with his hat and does a spin, knocking him into the air. Kung Lao throws his hat straight before he jumps, eagle kicks him down, cracking his chest and breaking it and grabs both of his ankles and throws him down to the ground before swinging his hat one more time and severs Seamus' right arm. He screams and bleeds out before Kung Lao delivers one more strong kick to the back, defeating him.
"Flawless victory." Kung Lao said to him.
Daisuki and Meia work together to take down some of the Red Dragon. Daisuki swings his guandao and slices a couple members' stomachs open. He then swings the back of his weapon, striking a member in the forehead with the stick part before thrusting the blade through the back of the bad guy's head, killing him. Daisuki defends himself with his weapon from other weapons, cuts one Red Dragon member's arm off and knocking him down before blocking another sword swing before stabbing another through the mouth.
Meia fights in both physical combat and with her magic. With her staff, Meia throws energy blasts, fire blasts and even shoots lightning. She then draws out her bow and arrows and does a very neat job killing many Red Dragon members with them. It was a good thing Huntress taught her how to use one for years as well as magic, which Tessa taught her. It may prove to be unfortunate for Tessa as she approaches them.
"Miss me, Meia?" Tessa teasingly smirked. "Because I don't."
"Tessa! I was hoping I would see you again! It is time you pay the consequences for what you did! You betrayed us to Daegon and Shao Kahn!" Meia said.
"It was all worth being in the worthless home of Edenia. I still remember seeing your face when you cried when I killed your friends." Tessa glares at her, taunting her. "And I see you brought another to die for you. Another friend? Perhaps a lover?"
"That is none of your concern! You have crossed the line for breaking Meia's heart." Daisuki said.
"Awe, how adorable. Willing to die with her. Don't worry. I'll make your deaths more pleasing than what I did to her friends. I am going to enjoy this." Tessa floats down and is ready to fight them 2 on 1.
Tessa throws some magical projectiles at Meia and Daisuki, but Meia slams her staff down by the endpoint and brings up a shield that protects them both. She then pushes the shield towards Tessa and it breaks on her, causing her to slide back and it actually hurts her hands. Tessa shrugs it off and her hands are covered in magic as she charges in. Meia and Tessa clash and exchange blows with each other. They seem to be evenly matched until Meia's staff glows and blinds Tessa and Meia swings the staff at her head, slams the endpoint at her kneecap, does a straight kick to the chest, stumbling her, allowing Daisuki to slam the middle of his weapon at Tessa's forehead, slams the endpoint in her stomach and slams the end part on her head, sending Tessa down, but she teleports to a distance.
Tessa is starting to get annoyed by this. She hovers in the air and powers up with magic. Daisuki jumps to stab her, but Tessa grabs him and throws him aside before she sets her eyes on Meia. She throws more magic, which is much stronger than what Meia's shield can endure. Meia's shield electrifies the projectile as it disappears before Tessa fires a magic beam at Meia, but she uses her staff to grab it and throw it back at her. Tessa holds her palm out and the beam goes up in the sky. Meia and Tessa both fire magical beams at each other and they are evenly matched. But that was until Meia waves her hand in place and sends an arrow from her quiver right into Tessa's wrists, thighs, and stomach, causing her pain and allowing Meia to fire arrows at her chest, forcing Tessa to come down. This allows Daisuki to stab Tessa in the back of her left leg, forcing her to a knee and swings the stick part of his guandao at the back of her head. Meia comes in, hits her with painful magic projectiles and does two kicks to the face, cracking her skull and jaw and does a drop kick to her chest, cracking it greatly, sending her to Daisuki, who stabs her left shoulder, breaking it. Tessa falls to her knees, defeated.
Meia decides to finish her off. Her staff glew a baby blue light and swings it in four diagonal directions, releasing four energy-like tentacles, each grabbing her limbs, holding them tightly. Meia twists her staff and pulls it, making the beams twist and rip off her arms and legs, causing her to scream in so much pain and bleeding out badly.
Helpless, Tessa could only watch as Meia fires a magical sphere from her staff and it makes contact with her face, blowing it off and knocking her head clean off her body as it falls backwards.
"Huntress. Cade. Jon. This was for you. Rest well." Meia closes her eyes and thinks about them. Daisuki comes over to comfort her.
"I am sorry this had to happen to you. She deserved punishment, but there would have been other options." Daisuki gives her his condolences.
"Thank you, Daisuki. Though I only need to unless necessary. What my queen has taught me. What matters is I have new friends now. The earthrealmers. Of course, I always had you and your sister as well." Meia smiles at him.
"I am glad you do. The others will be at peace now that they are avenged." Daisuki tells her.
"Yes, indeed. When this is over, we should start interacting more. And I mean in person." Meia offers and winks at him. Daisuki chuckles out of slight embarrassment.
S-sure. I would like that. Whatever the lady would like." Daisuki smiles back. Meia holds back her laughter, noticing his blushing. They smile at each other before they resume their duty.
The Shirai Ryu continue to prevail. They do not run. They fight like they always have. Jacqui fights to her best spirit and ability. She shoots many Red Dragon members dead with her gauntlets, jumps on one and throws him down and stabs him in the face with her daggers before throwing one of them at another member's heart, killing him. As she recovers it, she cuts another's throat open. Vera uses her combined staff to plunge it into a member's head, killing him before splitting them up into escrima sticks and shocking and beating up more. Satoshi fights back with his kusarigama and is backed up by Kenshi, using his telepathic sword.
Takeda continues to fight as he takes down more Red Dragon members. Takeda uses his chain spear to grab one. "GET OVER HERE!" He pulls the member towards him and takes his sword and slices his back open.
Vera and Satoshi are fighting alongside each other and are happy in doing so. That was until they dodge some debris thrown at them by none other than Ermac. "Young children. Your souls are fierce, but they are no match for us all. Surrender, and we may have a place for you." Ermac said.
"And have that asshole kill our families like he just tried to? How about piss off?!" Vera stands in defiance.
"You're not walking away from this fight so easily this time." Satoshi said.
"Your fates are now sealed." Ermac said before the three start fighting.
Ermac fires a magic blast, but Vera and Satoshi dodge it and Satoshi grabs his ankle with his kusarigama and brings him down. Vera comes in and gives him two punches to the chest and a kick to the jaw, before doing two jump kicks, sending Ermac back. Satoshi throws the blade part of his weapon and it stabs Ermac in the left shoulder and he is pulled towards him, allowing Satoshi to swing the chain part of his weapon at Ermac's forehead, across the face, the right knee and in the chest. Satoshi then does a double kick to the chest and does an eagle kick to the top of his head, cracking the top of his skull before kneed in the throat, sending Ermac back. He gets back up and sends Vera and Satoshi back with a magic blast.
The two get back up and run back to Ermac, but he uses his telekinesis and throws them together and they collide into each other, cracking parts of their skulls. They get back up, only for Ermac to fly down to the ground, slam into it, creating a small shockwave that throws them off balance and he kicks Satoshi in the chin, flies and slams both fists into his chest, cracking it and sending Satoshi back. Vera runs up to give him two punches to the back of the head and a side kick to the right rib cage, but Ermac sends her back with another magic blast before grabbing her, backflip kicks her into the air and throws her down, back first. Satoshi grabs his ankles with his chain and pulls him towards him, but Ermac breaks free, uses his own chain against him and throws him to where Vera is.
Satoshi and Vera got back and were ready. Vera brings out her escrima sticks and combines them together. Satoshi throws his chain while Vera throws her staff. Ermac catches both weapons, but Vera and Satoshi jump and kick him in both ribs, breaking them. Satoshi grabs his weapon and throws the blade part in his chest and cuts it open, allowing Vera to use her escrima sticks, and slams them on both of his shoulders, breaking them completely before doing a backflip kick to the chin, nearly breaking his jaw as he is sent flying and defeated.
"That's for giving me a headache earlier, asshole." Vera glares at him. She then turns to Satoshi and they both smile at each other.
"Now that is a fight." Satoshi said. "So, what do you have in mind after this whole thing is over?"
"Is a moonwalk good?" Vera asked.
"Moonwalk. Moonwalk would be good enough for me. I can get some peace after all of this." Satoshi said, making Vera giggle. They both continue on.
Fire God Liu Kang and his daughter Chang Bao are working together to defeat many chaosrealmers. Liu Kang figured they would not hold back as they are under the influence of Havik the Chaos Cleric. The fire god uses his lightning and it goes through a couple of chaosrealmers before he throws them aside. Then he jumps and fires two huge fireballs at dozens of them in front and behind them, burning them all to a crisp. He has several fireballs surrounding him and he taps one in one direction, killing a chaosrealmer, same with a second one before firing the rest at the same time.
Chang Bao uses her odachi and spins it in place and creates strong wind which sends several chaosrealmers high in the sky before they fall to their deaths. One tries to approach her, but she slices its leg off, then decapitates it before stabbing another in the stomach and splitting it in half. Another tries to grab her sword by the blade, but her blade lights up in heat, burning its hands, but it smiles at the pain. Chang Bao then shoots fireballs from both her hand and her odachi sword, burning it and each swing from her sword, she throws more fireballs, killing more of them.
Liu Kang and Chang Bao both hear roaring coming towards them and they both dodge out of the way as Goro slammed his fists into the ground. "Now do I have your attention, Liu Kang?! The chaosrealmers are also under my command since that blood traitor Sheeva has sided with you."
"Says the blood traitor who joined with Chaosrealm." Sheeva said, stepping in. You are unworthy of being the ruler of the Shokan. That is why I am queen."
"You disgrace it by siding with the filthy gods and edenians. But that will all change when Shao Kahn has the power of Blaze in his hands." Goro said.
"Not now. Not ever." Liu Kang said. It's Goro versus Liu Kang, Chang Bao and Sheeva.
Goro throws three punches and an uppercut that Sheeva blocks before Liu Kang comes in and does his bicycle kick move covered in flames before Chang Bao uses the wind and throws rapid punches to his back before doing a backflip kick, sending him to Sheeva who jumps up really high to do her stomp move. Goro jumps out of the way, causing Sheeva to miss before he jumps and punches her in the head, throwing several punches in her face, chest, waist and shoulders before uppercutting her. Liu Kang tries to use his nunchucks, but he grabs him, headbutts him and throws him down, back first. Chang Bao pulls Goro in with the wind, jumps up, knees his chest before punching in the head, stumbling him. She tries to shoot fire, but he grabs her, slams his fists onto her head five times before throwing her away.
The three got back up and were ready. Sheeva and Goro both throw fireballs at each other, which both explode and they collide with each other, trying to overpower one another. Liu Kang and his daughter both burn Goro's back with their own firepower, allowing Sheeva to overpower Goro by kicking him in the chest, cracking it and sending him to Liu Kang and Chang Bao. Liu Kang uses his thunder powers to electrocute him. Goro feels the pain, but he manages to grab the god and punch him several times in the chest before tossing him aside. Sheeva once more tries to stomp him, but he grabs her ankles and throws her down and jumps and stomps on her chest and head, cracking both of them. Chang Bao uses the win to pull Goro off of her and she swings her odachi sword at his right shoulder, causing a deep cut, causing a lot of pain. Sheeva takes her spiked shield and throws it into Goro's back, stabbing him and Liu Kang uses his electrical powers to throw him into Chang Bao. She does her father's famous dragon kick, burning his chest before doing a fiery backflip kick, sending Goro into the air. Sheeva then jumps up, grabs Goro and slams him down right onto her knee, breaking his back completely. Goro lays there, finally defeated.
"I could kill you, but you should live knowing you disgraced your own kind in shame for as long as you live." Sheeva said.
"Well done, my daughter. Against all odds, you have stood a chance against anyone who opposed you and your team. You helped lead them this far. I am glad that I have chosen you." Liu Kang puts a hand on her shoulder and smirks.
"Thank you, father. I do not know what to do without you, my brother, my friends and everyone else. I am honored to be a leader alongside my friend Anthony. It was a pleasure meeting him and getting to know everyone." Chang Bao said.
"And you will do so some more. But first things first." Liu Kang glares at Shao Kahn, Havik and Mavado. The only villains left. They angrily glare at how many casualties they have lost, including Mileena, Seamus Lee and Tessa. Everyone else catches up to the fire god, including his wife Kitana Kahn and the young protectors. He turns to Kitana, Jade, Cassie and Alex and they nod to each other, knowing what they have to do next.
Note: We are nearing the end, my friends. Next comes the big finale. To decide the fates of the realms and over who gets control of Blaze. How will this go?
