Disclaimer: I do not own Pokemon
Chapter 1 - A Radical Start
Now… booting up Radical Red, a ROM hack, on his phone while jaywalking probably wasn't his smartest move. Then again, "smart" wasn't exactly his personal brand. But what could he say? He was a sucker for ROM hacks ever since his first taste of Pokémon Unbound. And since high school didn't offer much more than mind-numbing group projects and forced socialization, why not spend his time glued to his phone? At least it wasn't another lecture from his parents about grades.
Speaking of which, the brief jolt of pain and the wind smacking him in the face right before everything went black was probably going to put a damper on his day.
Well, great. I'm dead. Wonder if Mom and Dad will be sad? Eh, probably more upset about losing the walking disappointment they call a son. He never really blew them away with his stellar grades and, let's be real, they weren't exactly impressed by his devotion to Pokémon and gaming either.
Maybe my sister will miss me? She was, after all, the family's golden child. Cute, smart, and utterly impossible to one-up. Even he liked her, which was a miracle considering sibling rivalry usually came with a free dose of mild hatred.
Heaven or hell? Tough call. He hadn't been a saint, but his track record wasn't exactly hell-worthy either—unless launching his baby sister's dirty diaper into his dad's face counted. Worth it though. Totally worth it.
Wait… why do I feel like I'm lying on grass? And where the hell am I?
"Clefa… Clefairy. Fairy."
That's definitely not the sound of an angel welcoming me to heaven—or a demon. So, there's that.
His eyes felt like someone had stapled weights to them, but after what felt like a lifetime of effort, he forced them open. Everything was a blurry mess at first, but it eventually sharpened into something coherent. Sky. Clouds. Trees. Grass. And a tiny pink puffball with brown-tipped ears staring at him. A Clefairy.
Oh no. I've officially become a walking, talking fanfic trope. Cue the isekai nonsense where I get sucked into the Pokémon world, become a super badass, and obviously, get all the girls.
He sat up, surprised by how not dead he felt. He'd just been hit by a car—an experience that typically didn't come with a side of "no pain." So, that was one point for "this isn't so bad."
"So… guess this isn't a dream." He inspected his hand. Nope, looked real enough. Everything around him seemed like it belonged in the real world. Well, aside from the Clefairy standing next to him.
"Clefa?"
He stared at the fairy-type and then at his hand again.
This should all be animated, right? Like, aren't I supposed to be a glorified anime character now? Or did I get the budget isekai package where reality just gets a few tweaks?
"Hey, Clefairy… Do you know where I am? Preferably someplace with people? Not really feeling the 'alone in the woods' vibe right now."
Clefairy tilted her head, giving him the blank look he'd usually expect from his math teacher when he asked if video games counted as "extracurriculars."
What? Did I ask a dumb question? It's been known to happen.
Then Clefairy pointed at his waist and pocket, like she knew something he didn't. And that's when he saw them. Pokéballs.
Well, this just got interesting.
He reached into his pocket and, instead of the usual assortment of lint and despair, he found… a smartphone?
Of course, because what's a world-jumping experience without modern tech? Turning it on, the phone unlocked automatically, probably sensing his charming face. Several icons appeared on the screen: ID, Pokédex, Map, Bank Account, and Internet.
Internet? Oh yeah, I'm totally hitting up Google for "how to survive in the Pokémon world."
Curiosity got the better of him, so he tapped the ID icon. His info popped up:
Name: Asier Rao
Hometown: N/A
Occupation: Pokémon Trainer (Day 1)
Sponsor: None
Pokémon: Clefairy
Badges: None
Well, at least I've still got my name.
He glanced at Clefairy, who was staring at him like she owned him.
And I guess you're mine. Cool. This day just keeps getting weirder. Now let's take a look at the Pokedex.
It wasn't difficult to figure out how the features of the Pokedex were. Even if he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed…he wasn't the dullest either. The Pokedex could scan any Pokemon and give its information using the phone's camera's, while also providing more detailed data on caught Pokemon, such as height, weight, gender, ability and moves.
Let's see how good you are.
[Clefairy - The Fairy Pokemon: Clefairy is a rare and beloved Pokémon, adored for its cute appearance and playful behavior, making it popular among trainers despite its scarcity. It is said that on nights of the full moon, Clefairy gather in secluded mountain areas to dance, their wings glowing faintly as they float in the moonlight. Those lucky enough to witness this magical event are believed to be blessed with happiness.
Type: Fairy
Ability: Magic Guard
Gender: Female
Height: 0.8m
Weight: 10kg
Moves: Heal Pulse, Gravity, Wish, Lifedew, Moonlight, Metronome, Fake Tears, Reflect, Lightscreen

Of course I would be stuck with a starter who only knows how to give milk and heal. HOW the hell am I supposed to catch any Pokémon with a Clefairy who doesn't know a single offensive move? And I only have five Pokéballs… With my rotten luck, I couldn't catch a damned Pidgey with this setup.
Asier resisted the urge to face-palm. Let me think about that later. For now, better focus on figuring out where I am… My day can't get any worse than this, right?
He swiped over to the map app. There was no signal.
"FUCCCKK ME!"
"Clefairy?" The fairy-type blinked up at him, tilting her head slightly, probably in a poor attempt at sympathy.
"Don't give me that look. We're lost. Which direction do we go now?" Asier sighed, trying to play it cool in front of his new Pokémon. He didn't want to seem like a complete moron in front of Clefairy, even though the whole "being-lost-in-another-world" thing was well out of his comfort zone.
My own Pokémon… that does sound pretty cool.
"Clefa Fairy Fair Fair," Clefairy replied, pointing in a seemingly random direction.
"Alright, you seem confident. Lead the way." Asier shrugged, hoping his new friend had some sort of internal GPS because, well, he sure didn't. The sooner they found some sign of civilization, the better.
They set off, with Clefairy trotting ahead as though she knew exactly where they were going. Which was reassuring for the first five minutes… until she made a sharp left turn into the middle of some thick bushes.
"Uh, Clefairy, you sure about this?" Asier asked, wincing as branches slapped him in the face. His hoodie wasn't exactly designed for bushwhacking, and his legs were already getting scratched up.
"Fairy!" Clefairy responded with a cheerful nod, continuing to barrel through like an enthusiastic toddler with no sense of self-preservation.
Oh great, we're definitely going to die here. Lost to the wilderness, all because I trusted a pink marshmallow.
After another ten minutes of blindly following Clefairy, Asier's frustration boiled over. "Okay, stop. Just… stop." He held up his hands, trying not to lose it. "Do you actually know where we're going?"
Clefairy blinked up at him, her innocent eyes sparkling like she had no idea what the problem was.
Right. Clearly, this thing has the directional skills of a broken compass.
"Alright, new plan. I'll take the lead." Asier pulled out his phone again. Let's see… if we're near Mt. Silver, then Viridian City should be west of here. That's… uh… that way? He squinted, trying to figure out which direction was which based on the sun's position. "West it is!"
Clefairy looked up at him, skeptical but didn't protest when he took the lead. They walked in relative silence for a bit, the only sounds being the crunch of leaves underfoot and Clefairy occasionally humming to herself. Asier was trying to stay positive, despite being hopelessly lost.
Suddenly, a rustling sound came from a nearby bush. Asier stopped dead in his tracks, eyes narrowing. "What was that?"
Clefairy perked up, also noticing the movement. "Fairy?"
"Could be a wild Pokémon," Asier whispered, pulling out one of his Pokéballs. Okay, breathe. This is it. Time to make my first catch.
The rustling grew louder, and suddenly, a small brown Pokémon with a striped tail popped out from the bushes. It stood up on its hind legs, looking around nervously.
"Sentret!" the little Pokémon squeaked.
Asier's eyes lit up with excitement. A Sentret! This was his first real chance to catch a Pokémon, and he wasn't about to blow it. His pulse quickened, but he forced himself to stay calm.
"Alright, Clefairy, this is our chance!" he whispered, readying a Pokéball. "Use… uh…" He paused, realizing none of Clefairy's moves were offensive and using Metronome was entirely dependent on luck. "Okay, how about we try something clever. Use Gravity!"
Clefairy blinked, then waved her arms, and Asier could feel the air around them grow heavier. The Sentret, who had been moving swiftly, suddenly seemed to slow down, its feet struggling to keep pace.
"Nice! Slowing it down gives us an edge," Asier muttered. "Alright, Clefairy, stay sharp. We need to time this right."
Sentret, still determined, lunged at Clefairy with a Quick Attack, but its movements were sluggish under the increased gravitational force. The attack landed, but Clefairy held firm, not backing down. Asier clenched his fist, impressed.
Asier observed, trying to strategize instead of panicking. "Clefairy, stay defensive and continue using Gravity to tire Sentret out. We'll then go for the capture."
After a few minutes, he tossed a Pokéball at Sentret. It wobbled once… twice… and then clicked shut with a soft ping.
"YES!" Asier pumped his fist in the air. "We did it, Clefairy! That Gravity trick was perfect!"
"Clefairy!" she chirped, looking rather proud of herself.
Asier picked up the Pokéball, grinning. "Okay, Sentret, welcome to the team." He paused, realizing that catching the Pokémon wasn't just luck—he'd actually thought through the battle. "Man, maybe I can do this. It wasn't perfect, but we learned something."
Asier then decided to let Sentret out and welcome her to the team. "Come on out Sentret!"
Man that felt good to say!
Materializing in front of the duo, the normal-type blinked.
"Sen?"
"Welcome to my…our family Sentret! I was just wondering if you wanted to go on a journey with me and Clefairy here? Travel the world and become so strong that no one dares underestimate us!"
"Sen! Sentret Sen!" Sentret's eyes sparkled in extreme glee and a fire burned within him.
"Hehe, I guess that's a yes then! Let's conquer the world!"
I probably sounded like an idiot if someone from my home world saw me.
Returning Sentret, he decided to scan it to know just what moves it knew and what ability it had.
[Sentret - The Scout Pokemon: Sentret is a cautious and nervous Pokémon that uses its tail to stand tall, allowing it to scan wide areas for danger. Acting as a lookout, it screeches and hits the ground with its tail to warn its kind when it spots an enemy. When separated from its pack, Sentret becomes too fearful to sleep, relying on its companions for safety during rest.
Type: Normal
Ability: Keen Eye
Gender: Male
Height: 1.4m
Weight: 12kg
Moves: Quick Attack, Focus Energy, Slash, Baby Doll Eyes, Fury Swipes.
He tucked the Pokéball away, feeling a little more confident. "Alright, let's keep moving. If we run into more wild Pokémon, at least now I've got backup. And hey, Clefairy, nice job back there." He gave her a nod of approval. "Guess I shouldn't underestimate your utility."
Clefairy clapped her hands happily, clearly pleased with the praise.
As they continued, Asier couldn't help but think back on the battle. Sure, he wasn't perfect, but that wasn't the point. It was about learning from mistakes, figuring things out as they went. He wasn't going to blame Clefairy or Sentret if things went south. This journey was as much about improving himself as it was about catching Pokémon. Plus it seemed that Sentret was fairly new at battling otherwise it would have used its other moves rather then just using Quick Attack to get in close and trying to use Fury Swipes.
"Alright," he muttered to himself, feeling a new sense of determination, "next time, I'll be even better."
Wait…Gravity slowed down Sentret because it increased the Gravity of that area…what if…I can use it like the Gravity chamber in Dragon Ball Z! I could not only train my Pokemon to become extremely powerful but I could become like those large bodybuilders too! Maybe I could build myself a superhuman physique and my pokemon could become monsters that no one wants to face!
"Alright, let's keep moving." Asier's mood was off the charts as if he smoked some very good shit. His legs felt like he did not touch the ground as he walked. "If we run into more wild Pokémon, at least now I've got backup."
As they continued through the woods, the path started to open up a bit, and the sounds of the forest became more lively. There were birds chirping, the rustling of leaves, and the occasional scurrying of small creatures in the underbrush.
And then, of course, the inevitable happened.
A small, brown bird Pokémon swooped down from a tree, landing directly in front of them.
"Pidgey!" it chirped, fluffing up its feathers.
"Well, look who decided to show up," Asier muttered, eyeing the Pidgey. "Alright, let's do this."
He threw out Sentret's Pokéball, and his new partner appeared in a flash of light. Sentret stood up on its hind legs, ready for action.
"Sentret, use Quick Attack!" Asier called out, feeling like he was finally getting the hang of this.
Sentret darted forward with impressive speed, slamming into the Pidgey before it could react. The bird Pokémon squawked in surprise, flapping its wings frantically.
"Alright, now follow up with—" Asier didn't get to finish, because the Pidgey retaliated with a Gust, sending a blast of wind directly at Sentret, knocking it back.
"Whoa! Okay, stay calm, Sentret! We got this!" Asier said, feeling the pressure now. "Quick Attack again, go!"
Sentret regained its footing and rushed forward once more, hitting the Pidgey square in the chest. This time, the Pidgey looked dazed, wobbling on its feet.
"Now's my chance!" Asier pulled out another Pokéball and tossed it at the Pidgey. The ball wobbled a few times, but then clicked shut.
"Hell yeah! Two for two!" Asier grinned, feeling a rush of satisfaction. "Pidgey, welcome to the team."
He picked up the Pokéball, admiring it for a moment. "Man, I'm on a roll. First a Sentret, now a Pidgey? I might actually be good at this."
Clefairy clapped her hands, clearly happy for him.
"Yeah, yeah, you did great too," Asier said, smirking. "I mean, you did help… sort of."
"Clefairy!" she chirped back, looking smug.
Hmm…I shouldn't waste my breath with so many words and just call out the moves I want to use or the command I want my Pokemon to carry out. That short delay caused Pigey's gust to land on Sentret and I could have avoided that if I paid more attention and just had Sentret dodge before using Quick Attack…or better yet use the speed boost from Quick Attack to dodge then go straight for the attack. Maybe I should train my Pokemon to dodge without my command and to use Quick Attack as a way to dodge and get close to their opponents and land stronger attacks?
Asier went through the entire battle and broke down his mistakes and tried to analyze how he could fix them. As soon as he came out of his thought process, he decided to check out Pidgey's stats.
[PIdgey - The Tiny Bird Pokemon: Pidgey is a common and docile Pokémon found in forests and grassy areas, preferring to avoid conflict by kicking up blinding sand to protect itself. It typically hides in tall grass and flaps its wings at ground level to stir up dust or chase away enemies. Despite its gentle nature, Pidgey possesses an extremely sharp sense of direction, allowing it to return home from faraway locations.
Type: Normal - Flying
Ability: Keen Eye
Gender: Male
Height: 0.5m
Weight: 2.5kg
Moves: Tackle, Sand Attack, Gust, Quick Attack, Brave Bird, Air Slash, Air Cutter
]
Asier let out Pidgey and Sentret, talking with them for a bit before continuing to walk. "Alright, I think we're close to Viridian City. Hopefully, we'll find some real directions there."
He looked at Clefairy, then at the path ahead. "Let's just hope we don't run into any more trouble on the way."
*ROAR*
A powerful roar reverberated throughout the forest, causing all the flying types to escape into the air. The direction of the roar…seemed to be just up ahead.
And of course I had to Jinx it.
Asier crouched behind the bushes, heart pounding in his chest, eyes locked on the scene ahead. The sight of the massive Tyranitar, chained inside a cage that looked far too small for her, made his stomach churn. Her green scales were dull, her once mighty arms limp at her sides. Tyranitar was alive, but barely, and the rage in her red eyes was unmistakable.
Beside the cage, connected by wires to a cylindrical glass shell, was an egg. An ominous, pulsing light flickered inside the egg. It was clear that Team Rocket wasn't just holding this Tyranitar captive—they were draining her energy and feeding it into her baby's egg through some sort of method.
This is insane, Asier thought, swallowing hard. He counted three Rocket grunts, each clad in their signature black uniforms, their expressions cold and methodical as they monitored the equipment. Worse still, two Pokémon were already out, guarding the perimeter—a sleek, vicious-looking Houndoom and a ghostly, menacing Gengar.
Okay, Asier, let's assess the situation, he thought, trying to force his racing mind into some semblance of logic. Tyranitar's a freaking tank. Normally, she'd be able to tear through those goons like paper. But whatever Team Rocket's doing, it's keeping her weak. And that egg... That's gotta be her kid, with how her eyes keep looking at it but not daring to do anything with the Houndoom ready to pounce and kill the baby inside. They're using her to feed it energy or something, and they'll probably kill both if anything goes wrong.
His eyes darted to the grunts. They didn't look like the typical bottom-rung Rocket thugs he'd seen in games. These guys were experienced, and they were ready. Their Pokémon weren't exactly low-level Rattatas either. Houndoom snarled, pacing, while Gengar hovered silently, its eyes glowing ominously. Asier's fingers tightened around his Pokéballs, but then reality hit him like a truck.
I've got a Sentret, a Pidgey, and Clefairy. And I'm up against a freaking Houndoom and a Gengar. What am I even doing here? I could barely make it through high school, and now I'm supposed to fight a criminal syndicate with a bird and a puffball? His mind was screaming at him to turn around and run, to leave the problem to someone more qualified, like… literally anyone else.
But he couldn't. Not with that Tyranitar suffering right in front of him, and not with that baby on the line.
Okay, Asier, deep breaths. You're not some badass hero. You're just a guy who's really bad at life and worse at making decisions. But maybe, just maybe, you can outthink them.
He scanned the area again, looking for anything, any advantage he could use. The grunts were focused on the machine. They had to keep it working to siphon energy from Tyranitar into the egg. That gave him an idea. The machine looked complex, but complex machines usually had weak points. Bad logic but considering the whole situation I'm in…logic flew out the window quite a while back.
If I can mess with the machine, just a little bit, maybe I can make it backfire on them. But I can't get too close with those two murder-monsters guarding the area.
Asier glanced down at his team, his mind racing. I can't use Sentret to fight Gengar directly—Because duh, ghost-type. All Sentret had was normal type offensive moves which would just go right through that smug bastard. And Pidgey? Against a Houndoom? That would be a barbecue waiting to happen.
But Clefairy…
Clefairy had something that might help. Her moveset wasn't offensive, but she had Metronome. If luck was on his side, she might pull something useful out of it.
"Alright, Clefairy, you're up," Asier whispered, steeling himself. "We're going to pull off a miracle, and if we don't, well... we're probably toast."
Clefairy gave him a determined nod. She might have looked like a puffball, but there was no denying her courage.
Here's the plan, genius, Asier thought, laying it out in his head. Step one: I need to cause a distraction big enough to get those grunts away from the machine. If I can lure them away, I might be able to sabotage their equipment or at least slow them down. Step two: Keep Houndoom and Gengar off me long enough to pull it off. Step three: Pray. A lot.
Sentret and Pidgey stood at the ready, eyes locked on the grunts and their Pokémon. Asier took a deep breath, tightening his grip on Sentret's Pokéball.
"Alright, Sentret, I need you to draw their attention. Run through the camp, knock stuff over—make it look like a wild Pokémon's messing with them. Don't fight, just run. Got it?"
Sentret gave him a determined squeak.
"Pidgey, you're on backup. If things get messy, I need you to kick up as much dirt and dust as possible. We're going to blind them if we can't outfight them."
Pidgey nodded, wings flaring.
"Clefairy... please, for the love of all things holy, give me something good with Metronome. And maybe don't summon an explosion or anything that'll get us all killed."
Clefairy smiled sweetly, as if oblivious to the fact that their lives were about to hang by a thread.
"Alright," Asier whispered, adrenaline coursing through him. "Go!"
Sentret darted forward like a blur, weaving through the camp with surprising agility. The Rocket grunts shouted in alarm as the small Pokémon knocked over equipment, sending crates and tools scattering across the ground.
"What the hell?!"
"There's something in the camp! Check it out!"
Asier grinned. Perfect. That's it, take the bait, you morons.
The two grunts scrambled, distracted by the chaos. But Houndoom wasn't so easily fooled. The dark canine bared its fangs, growling as it stalked toward Sentret before gazing…straight towards him! Asier's heart skipped a beat. "Okay, new plan! "Pidgey, Gust! Now!"
Pidgey flapped his wings with all his might, whipping up a fierce gust of wind that sent dirt and leaves flying into Houndoom's face. The dark-type snarled, momentarily blinded.
"Clefairy, Metronome!" Asier called out, desperately hoping for something that would tip the scales.
Clefairy closed her eyes, waving her arms. A bright light flickered around her as she summoned the power of Metronome. Asier held his breath. "Come on, something good. Something good!"
A flash of white burst from Clefairy's tiny hands, and suddenly, Gengar and Houndoom let out a sharp cry. Asier's eyes widened. He did not recognize the move but it clearly shocked the two Pokemon.
"WHOSE THERE?!" One of the grunts shouted!
"YOUR MAMA!" Asier shouted back. "Sentret, Quick Attack into Slash on that Machine console now!"
Sentret glowed white and dashed quickly towards Tyranitar with one arm enveloped by a white energy that stretched into a blade.
Please Houndoom, Gengar don't get up in time! Asier prayed as he saw the two a bit stunned but quickly recovering. Just as Sentret raced past the two, their eyes cleared and they immediately turned around and burst forward.
Shit!
Sentret just made it and slashed across the console.
For a split second, nothing happened. Then, the machine let out a high-pitched whine, sparks flying as the energy flow stuttered and stopped.
Houndoom and Gengar arrived just before Sentret and were about to strike.
*BOOM*
A massive shockwave sent Houndoom, Gengar and particularly Sentret flying back.
"Hell yeah! Take that, science!"
Asier ran and jumped, catching the battered and knocked out Sentret before returning him to his Pokeball.
Great job Sentret.
A heart-wrenching roar tore through the air. Tyranitar had broken free. The cage around her lay in twisted ruins, and she stood tall, her eyes burning with a mixture of fury and desperation but clearly was on her last legs. She gazed towards Asier, her eyes changing emotions briefly before turning towards Houndoom and Gengar.
The grunts backed away in terror, scrambling to command their Pokémon. Houndoom and Gengar charged forward to subdue Tyranitar, but she was too fast, too enraged. Her tail lashed out, sending Houndoom flying into a nearby tree. The dark-type didn't get back up.
Gengar, however, was a different story. It phased in and out of view, dodging Tyranitar's wild attacks and firing off Energy Balls that hit her hard. Tyranitar staggered, but refused to fall.
But even Asier could see it—she was weakening. The energy drain had taken too much from her, and Gengar wasn't letting up.
"She can't win," Asier realized, dread filling his chest. "Not like this. She's too weak. If this keeps up, she's gonna—"
Suddenly, the egg, still cradled in the shattered remains of its glass case, began to glow. A brilliant light filled the clearing, and Asier's eyes widened as cracks spread across the egg's surface.
"It's hatching!" one of the grunts shouted in disbelief.
The egg shattered, and there, amidst the glowing fragments, was a tiny Larvitar. The baby Pokémon looked weak, disoriented from the battle and the unnatural energy transfer, but its eyes locked onto Tyranitar.
For a brief moment, everything stopped. Tyranitar turned toward her newborn, her expression softening as she gazed at the child she'd fought so hard to protect.
But Gengar wasn't done. It fired another Energy Ball, aimed directly at the helpless Larvitar.
"NO!" Asier shouted, scrambling towards Larvitar. But Tyranitar moved faster. With the last of her strength, she threw herself in front of the attack, taking the full brunt of the Shadow Ball.
The blast hit her dead center, and she let out a, pained roar before collapsing to one knee.
Everything went still.
A blackish energy sphere formed in her mouth before a beam of raw destructive might enveloped the two Pokemon and the grunts, causing a massive explosion.
Asier got sent soaring through the air before smashing…HARD onto the ground.
Fuckkkk…that hurt…
Tyranitar then tumbled over and fell to the ground with a loud thud. She lay motionless, her massive body barely rising with shallow breaths. Larvitar, still glowing faintly from the hatching, stumbled over to her side, nuzzling against her.
Asier's chest tightened as he approached, his heart sinking. Tyranitar's eyes flickered open one last time, locking onto Larvitar.
"Larvi... tar..." she rasped, her voice weak but full of love. The baby Pokémon whimpered, tears welling up in its tiny eyes.
Tyranitar let out a low growl, her eyes shifting to Asier. She gave him a long, hard look, as if sizing him up, before growling in a strained, quiet voice and motioned him to go to Larvitar.
Asier swallowed the lump in his throat, as he approached the fallen giant. "I… I promise. I'll take care of him."
Tyranitar's eyes softened, and she let out one final, peaceful breath before falling still.
Asier stood there in stunned silence, his hand resting on the trembling Larvitar's back. The weight of the situation hit him all at once.
Holy crap, I just got a baby Larvitar! Shit I should get going! I don't know if those Pokemon or those grunts survived!
"Larvitar, we have to leave now!" Asier urged and tried to pick up the baby Pokemon.
Now how could a skinny teenager ever fail to life such a cute and cool Pokemon. Him of course.
SHIT. I forgot Larvitar weighs like 75kg. I'm way too scrawny…fuck me.
"Larvitar, we have to go NOW! Come with me. I promise you I will make you strong enough to destroy Team Rocket, the evil people that took your mother's life! We will become strong enough to conquer the world!" Asier urged, stretching out his hand.
Larvitar looked to the hand and back at the human his mother told him to go with. He paused for a brief moment but to Asier whose heart was prepared to leap out of his chest, it felt like hours!
Finally, the rock-ground type gave a small nod.
"Lar." And thus the baby's first words were spoken.
Asier quickly took out a Pokeball and tapped Larvitar on the head. "Don't resist."
As the ball was shaking, Asier did not hesitate in bolting but the weight of his words began sinking in.
I basically promised revenge on a criminal organization. No biggy. It's not like I'm a complete noob who could not even handle a basic criminal let alone a crime syndicate right…WHO am I kidding? I can't even handle high school, and now I'm supposed to destroy Team Rocket? Yeah, this'll go great. Just... perfect.
He looked down at the Pokeball holding Larvitar and could just imagine being obliterated the next time he came across Team Rocket.
"Welp, optimism or woe is me. I guess we're in this together, little guy."
Larvitar's Pokeball gave a small shake, as if it heard and understood what Asier was thinking.
He didn't know how, but one day, he'd make good on his promise…if he survived long enough.
"I'm gonna regret this so hard, aren't I?" He said to no one.
