Episode 1: Death & Strawberry
2:23 AM., FRIDAY
KARAKURA TOWN
(Black butterflies fly through the bright moon in Karakura Town as an unknown figure steps upon the city.)
?: Strange… I can sense huge spiritual pressure…
(Soon the figure roams through the city searching for what is unknown.)
AND THEN FELL THE SWORD OF FATE.

Buddha: What the hell?! You got a death wish, asshole? Speak up!
ICHIGO KUROSAKI

Buddha: Say somethin- Oof!
(Ichigo kicks Buddha straight in the face mid-sentence. His gang runs over to their fallen leader.)
Gang member: We've messed up… That guy is a total psycho!
Ichigo: Shut up!
(Ichigo says as he stomps Buddha's head. He then asks the gang some questions.)
Ichigo: All you hoodlums, take a look over there.
(Ichigo points to a broken flower vase.)
Ichigo: First question! You over there! You answer!
Mitch: Huh? Me? Well, an offering for some kid who died?
(Ichigo then kicks Mitch.)
Ichigo: Correct!
Gang member: Mitch!
(One yelled as they ran over to him.)
Ichigo: Second question! Why is the vase lying like that?
(Buddha's gang looks at him scared.)
Gang member: That's because we ran it over with our skateboards?
(They then look at him more scared than before.)
Ichigo: Is that so?
SPECIAL SKILL…
"HE CAN SEE GHOSTS"
(Ichigo then shows them a bloodied ghost of a young girl to the others.)
Ichigo: Then apologize to her!?
(Buddha's gang then screams and apologizes to her as they run off.)
Ichigo: Well, that's the last we'll see of them. Sorry for using you in this situation. They did deserve a scare for that.
Ghost Girl: It's fine. I was the one who asked you to get rid of them.
Ichigo: I'll bring you some fresh new flowers tomorrow.
Ghost Girl: Thank you. Now I can rest in peace.
Ichigo: No problem.
(Ichigo says as he walks home.)
?: He looks very familiar. I could be wrong, but I must focus on my duty.
(The figure watches on as Ichigo walks home.)
KUROSAKI CLINIC
Ichigo: Yeah, I can see and talk to ghosts. My family runs an everyday clinic in our town. There must be a connection to how I see ghosts. I was born with the ability to see the afterlife.
Ichigo: I'm home…
Isshin: You're late, Ichigo!
(Ichigo comes home to a surprise kick from his father, Isshin, the owner of Kurosaki Clinic.)
Isshin: Do you know what time it is, jerk?! 7:00 sharp every night for dinner!
Ichigo: Asshole! Is that how you welcome your son who helped a ghost pass on?!
Isshin: Don't make any excuses! My rules in this house are steel! If you break 'em, you'll bleed!
Ichigo: Shut up!
(Ichigo then punches Isshin square in the face.)
Ichigo: Your rules in this household are very strict! Average fathers can't make their teenage sons come home by 7:00!
(Yuzu then reminds Ichigo about something.)
Yuzu: Ichigo, I think you have a new friend haunting you.
Ichigo: What the?! When did you…?
Karin: I don't believe in ghosts.
Yuzu: Wait a minute, you see them too!
Karin: I'm in permanent denial. If I don't believe in them, they don't exist.
(Yuzu and the new ghost look at Karin scared.)
Isshin: You dropped your guard!
(Isshin prepares to attack Ichigo, only to receive a kick to the face.)
Ichigo: I can actually see ghosts for as long as I can remember. So…
(Ichigo then walks to his room.)
Ichigo: Why is my family so weird?
(Ichigo then sees a black butterfly.)
Ichigo: A black butterfly? Where did that come from? The existence of Soul Reapers had never crossed my mind.
(Ichigo then sees an unknown figure go through his wall.)
Ichigo: What the…
?: It's close. I can feel it here.
Ichigo: How's that for close, jerk?!
(Ichigo then kicks the unknown person.)
Ichigo: What's close? The safe? Is that how burglars speak or something?!
?: How can you see me?! You just kicked me!
Ichigo: Well, of course I can see you…
(Isshin then attacks Ichigo from behind for being loud.)
Isshin: Stop stomping around up here!
Ichigo: How can I be quiet when I'm stopping an intruder?! Look at this! What's our house security number!?
(Ichigo points to the person while Isshin looks at him, confused.)
Isshin: Look at what?
Ichigo: What? The girl that is wearing a samurai outfit.
Shinigami: It's no use. Normal people can't see me. I am a Shinigami.
(Cut to commercial. KEYWORD: Shinigami,)
(After commercial, KEYWORD: Karakura Town)
(The night sky of Karakura Town shines bright through the city. We see the ghost girl from earlier being chased by something.)
Ghost Girl: Someone help me! What is that thing?!
(The girl then trips and falls to the ground. With nowhere to go, the girl is decapitated and eaten by the unknown creature.)
(Back in Ichigo's room.)
Ichigo: So, you're a Shinigami, and you came from this place called the Soul Society… To annihilate an evil spirit. That makes sense. Are you out of your fucking mind?!
Shinigami: Wait a minute… You can see spirits but you don't believe in Shinigami?!
Ichigo: Of course I don't! I've never seen one before. I don't believe anything until I see it with my own eyes. Since my dad can't see you, you're probably not alive right now… So go play "Shinigami" somewhere else.
Shinigami: I see. Bakudo #1: Sai!
(The Shinigami smiles viciously and uses a spell on Ichigo causing his arms to lock behind his back.)
Ichigo: Ouch! What the hell did you do to me?!
Shinigami: This is called Kido. It's a master spell only Shinigami can use! Despite my appearance, I have lived ten of your lives! I would kill a fool like you, but the Soul Society laws forbids us from performing executions on humans. I'll let off with a little bit of paralysis this time.
(The Shinigami brings out her sword but it's not directed to Ichigo.)
Ghost: No… I don't want to go to Hell!
Shinigami: Don't worry. You are not going to Hell! You are going to the Soul Society. Unlike Hell… It is a peaceful place.
(The ghost is then transported to the Soul Society.)
Ichigo: What the hell happened to him?
(The girl starts to explain.)
Shinigami: I sent him to Soul Society using Konso, the soul funeral. It's called "moving on" in your language. It is one of the duties for Shinigami. So, I will explain so a brat like you will understand.
(She starts to explain what relies on Ichigo's world.)
Shinigami: In your world, there are two types of spirits. The first spirit is called "Wholes," the ordinary ones. Well, you know of them already. And the second spirit is called "Hollows." Hollows attack your world and Wholes and devour their souls. They are evil spirits. Any questions?
Ichigo: Why does your drawing suck so much?
(The girl starts to draw a mustache on Ichigo's face.)
Ichigo: What the…?!
Shinigami: Shall we continue?
(In the kitchen.)
Isshin: I still hear stomping again. I'll go talk to him.
Karin: I wouldn't go back up there if I were you. And you should take down that stupid poster of Mom.
Isshin: No! I'm not taking down my picture of my beautiful Masaki! *sobs*
Yuzu: Do you guys hear something?
Isshin: What do you mean? I don't hear anything. Aagh!
(Back to Ichigo's room.)
Shinigami: We have two principle duties… First, we conduct the Wholes to the Soul Society by using Konso… and second, we annihilate Hollows, which is my mission right now.
(Ichigo wipes his mustache as he starts to explain to her.)
Ichigo: Wait a minute. You're telling me there's a Hollow around here now?
Shinigami: Yes.
Ichigo: Are you an idiot? Don't just stand there, go kill it!
Shinigami: I can't seem to sense its spiritual pressure yet? That's odd.
Ichigo: What do you mean you can't sens-
(Ichigo then hears a blood-curdling scream.)
(Back to the living room)
(Isshin's back starts to explode causing him to fall to the ground, bleeding rapidly.)
Karin: What the… Dad! What the hell is that thing?
(The Hollow then blasts its way into the house.)
Karin: Come on, Yuzu! We gotta warn Ichigo now!
(Ichigo's room)
Ichigo: Hey, Shinigami! Didn't you hear that blood-curdling?
Shinigami: What did you mean by tha-
(She then starts to hear the screams as well.)
Shinigami: Impossible! How did he hear the howl before I did?!
(The younger siblings run upstairs to warn Ichigo of the creature, only for Karin to get punched by it, injuring her and capturing Yuzu in the process.)
Karin: Yuzu!
(Back in Ichigo's room.)
(Ichigo hears the screams of his sisters.)
Ichigo: That was Yuzu and Karin! Hey, where the hell are you going?! That was the howl of a Hollow?!
Shinigami: And I'm going to kill it! Stay here!
Ichigo: My family is being attacked! Undo your spell, now!
Shinigami: There is nothing you can do at this point! Just leave it to me and be quiet! Understand?!
(The Shinigami then leaves the room, only to feel some massive spiritual pressure.)
Shinigami: This spiritual pressure?! How did I not sense until now… What's going on?!
(Ichigo and the Shinigami then see an injured Karin crawling to his room.)
Karin: I-Ichigo… Are you okay?
Ichigo: Karin!
Karin: It happened so fast… Dad's back exploded and he fell unconscious… Then the monster started chasing me and Yuzu… We had to come and warn you about this… Hurry, Ichigo… before it comes after you.
(Karin then passes out.)
Shinigami: Don't worry. She's just passed out. What are you doing?! No human can break out of the Kido! If you break out, your soul will…
(Ichigo screams as he breaks out of the Kido.)
Shinigami: This can't be! He broke out of the Kido with his own power?! What is he…?
(Ichigo grabs his bat as he goes to confront the monster. As soon as he does he sees his father's bleeding body on the floor.)
Ichigo: It's a Hollow! When she said evil spirit, I thought it'd look human, but it's a monster!
(Ichigo then starts shaking as he sees the Hollow.)
Ichigo: This is really bad! Why am I shaking?! I'm scared of that thing! I've seen many ghosts in my life! It's just another ghost!
(Ichigo then sees his sister, Yuzu, in the Hollow's hand.)
Ichigo: Yuzu!
Yuzu: Ichigo…!
(Ichigo charges at the Hollow with his bat, only to be slammed by the Hollow, destroying his bat in the process. Then the Shinigami slices its arm, causing it to let go of Yuzu, letting Ichigo catch her on time.)
Hollow: Roarrr!
Ichigo: Yuzu! Are you okay?!
Shinigami: Don't worry, the Hollow haven't eaten their souls yet!
Ichigo: Wait a minute, you said that Hollows attack to eat people's souls?! Why did it attack my family?!
Shinigami: Hollows are drawn to high levels of energy, but they attack astutely. I've never seen a human who could see Shinigami or break out of a Kido before… I've never heard of a human with so much spiritual pressure… I think the Hollow was looking for you!
Ichigo: It was after me?! So all of this was because of me?! My dying dad over there, Karin and Yuzu bleeding… All of this…
(Ichigo starts having flashbacks of his family.)
Shinigami: That's not what I meant…
(The Hollow then punches the Shinigami to a wall.)
Ichigo: Shinigami! I've had enough of you!
(The girl then Ichigo beginning to do something stupid.)
Ichigo: Hey… You want my soul? Then fight me like a man! Forget them! It's me you want! So kill me!
Shinigami: You idiot!
(The Hollow charges towards Ichigo, but the Shinigami jumps in, resulting in the Hollow getting injured and injuring her in the process.)
Ichigo: Shinigami!
Shinigami: You idiot… Do you think it was over if you gave him your soul? Then you are an idiot! I'm sorry… I'm too injured to fight the Hollow… Soon, we'll become its food.
Ichigo: Shit! It's all my fault! We're gonna die! Me, my family, and the Shinigami!
(The Shinigami then makes a choice.)
Shinigami: Do you want to save your family.
Ichigo: Yes! How can I do it?!
Shinigami: There's only one way…
(She then pulls out her sword.)
Shinigami: You must become a Shinigami yourself!
Ichigo: What the hell are you talking about?! I can't…
Shinigami: You can! Place the tip of the Zanpakuto over your heart and I will infuse you with half of my Shinigami powers! You will temporarily have the powers of a Shinigami… Only to kill the Hollow.
Ichigo: Are you sure you can do something like that?
Shinigami: I don't know, but your soul is powerful. If we fail, you and your family will die!
(Ichigo then turns to Yuzu having a nightmare.)
Yuzu: Ichigo… Where are you? Run away, Ichigo…
Ichigo: This is very bad! My sisters are worrying about me while they're in danger! But, for our own safety… I will be an idiot to do it!
(Ichigo then walks up to the Shinigami, having made his choice.)
Ichigo: Give me the sword, Shinigami!
Rukia: It's not "Shinigami." It's Rukia Kuchiki.
Ichigo: And my name is Ichigo Kurosaki, nice to meet you… I hope this won't be our last meeting.
Hollow: Roarrr!
Rukia: It's coming… We must hurry…
(Rukia then puts the sword towards Ichigo.)
Ichigo: You ready?
Rukia: Yes.
(As the Hollow rushes closer to them, Rukia stabs Ichigo with her sword, as the Hollow's arm is then cut off, as it reveals Ichigo in Shinigami form, but for Rukia, she's lost her powers.)
Rukia: What the… I was only meant to give half of my powers, but I have lost all of it… This feeling… Like before, I couldn't sense the Hollow's presence… But he was the source of it! That energy was from him! I've never seen or heard of a human who can break out of Kido spell and can see Shinigami! I've never seen a Zanpakuto that huge!
(Ichigo then slices its leg off and prepares to go for the killing blow.)
Ichigo: That's for attacking my family, you fish-faced bitch!
(Ichigo then slices the Hollow in half as Rukia watches in confusion and shock.)
Rukia: What is he?
ICHIGO KUROSAKI
AGE: 15
HAIR: ORANGE
EYES: BROWN
OCCUPATION:
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT/SHINIGAMI
(Ichigo then passes out unconscious. As Rukia looks still in confusion.)
Rukia: In that form, he's very much like him. Now what can I do, now that my powers are gone?!
?: Hey!

(Rukia then turns behind to see a man in a white and green hat and wooden sandals.)
?: Do you want a Gigai?!
