Edward awoke to a horrific scene. Aro grinned giddily at him from the doorway of a tower. He couldn't hear Aro's thoughts at all.
"Where am I?" Edward asked. "Where is everyone? What did you do to them?!"
Just outside the door someone commented, "You shouldn't let your little prince speak so freely at you like that."
Edward froze as Aro smiled happily.
"It's quite alright," Aro says, "it's better at me than at Marcus. Caius would… scold the poor boy if he found out that Edward addressed our king as a threat."
'What?!' Edward thought. 'When did Marcus become king?!'
"I'd advise you to get use to your new life immediately." Aro pointingly addressed Edward the only he could with another vampire hearing them. "Our king is already upset that you kidnapped Countess Dracula's father and insulted her family."
"Countess Dracula?" Edward asked. "Who's-"
Aro left Edward's gilded cage after revealing that Bella Swan is the new Countess.
-Meanwhile in Forks-
Orlando was wondering what would happen now. Everyone watched the "golden child" kidnapped Bella's dad, in broad daylight too, and thought this meeting was for a divorce and engagement. Only to be knocked out by Arronax with the Volturi swooping in and taking the boy out.
But something did pique her curiosity during the discussion.
"So Bella," Orlando says as casually as possible, "what do you mean by time traveling?"
"I'm curious about that too!" Alice exclaimed. Practically sitting cross-legged on one of the couches closest to her former best friend. The Cullens began to inch closer, each hoping to hear the tale of Bella's adventures as a time traveler.
Bella smiled as the wolf pack, Charlie, and the League decided to listen to her tale too.
"Well to start." Bella explained. "We have to go back to 2009…"
