Chapter 9: The Rainbow Stars
In what looks like a dark laboratory full of machinery, potions, many devices, someone arrives at the laboratory and it's Gideon and as he arrives, he sees a twelve-year-old girl with long blonde hair, blue eyes, wearing a violet shoulderless dress with black long fingerless gloves, black short-heeled boots, black roses on the dress' skirt looking out the lab's window.
"Why, hello, Pacifica! Didja miss me?" Gideon asked.
"What do you want, Gideon? Shouldn't you be in different worlds and causing trouble, like you always do?" Pacifica asked.
"Aw, don't be like that! Ya LOVE seein' me! Besides, with that annoyin' rat Dipper outta the way, no one'll git in our way." Gideon said, petting Pacifica's blonde hair, only for Pacifica to swat the evil boy's hand away.
"You messed up our world! You had the Black Xetis and Heartless kill everyone! All I did was just watched and couldn't do anything." Pacifica said.
"Right, 'cause ya know yer powerless to do anythin' to me, let alone, yer own father! Now, be a good l'il girl and just do what I say and there won't be any problems. Once we git what we want, you'll be a queen, like ya always dreamed of." Gideon said.
"But not like THIS! This whole thing is..." Pacifica was cut off, as Gideon takes out a small bell and rings it, making the blonde girl quiet.
"Hahaha! Boy, I oughta thank yer dad fer givin' me this! I shoulda used this on ANY girl!" Gideon said.
Just then, something appears in blue flames and it's what looks like a young man with blond hair, yellow eyes with black slit pupils, wearing a yellow trench coat with a white and black suit under the coat, black bowtie, black pants, and a black top hat with a white eye with a black slit pupil and carrying a black cane.
"Well, well, well, my two favorite kiddos! How're we doing today?" The young man asked, taking off his top hat and bowing.
"Didn't I tell ya to STOP showin' up like this, Bill? It's startin' to irritate me!" Gideon said, crossing his arms.
"Can't help it, kid! Ya know I LOVE to surprise my friends or victims! I've spent YEARS trying to find that door leading to the heart of all worlds, but once our plan's complete, it's gonna become a full reality! That was the deal, remember? It's like I told Pretso! You scratch my back and I scratch YOURS!" Bill said, using his black cane to scratch Gideon's back, but the evil boy swats it away.
"HALF deal! Preston and I NEVER shook! I know how much a deceitful creature ya are! Not ta mention, I'm still ticked ya didn't KILL Pines!" Gideon yelled.
"Wow, the pot callin' the kettle black, as you've tricked many people into taking your side and tossing them aside like yesterday's garbage. In fact, didn't you manipulate one of your classmates? Theodore if I'm not mistaken?" Bill asked, using blue flames to show Gideon with another boy. "Second of all, who cares if Pine Tree's dead or not! You still have him at your clutches, right? He's not a threat to us anymore and with Sixer out our way, we've got nuttin' to worry about." Bill said.
"Uh-huh, whatever ya say. Anyway, I'd love to stay 'n' chat, but I gotta git ready fer Agrabah with Azula and that caveman Kay ta find that new recruit Hades spoke about. While I'm doin' that, Bill, ya might wanna check on those irritatin' troublemakers!" Gideon said.
"Oh, right! Artie and Sora!" Bill said, using his blue flames to show Arthur, Sora, and their friends. "I almost forgot about them! I already know they're gonna be trouble, so I think I'm gonna have much fun with them, but that'll be VERY soon!" Bill said.
"Perfect. You help me deal with 'em and we'll keep on workin' to git to that door once we have the seven Princesses and the Prince of Light." Gideon said.
"Hehehe! You guys've been quite busy gettin' those Princesses so far. I think we got Snowy, Cindy, and Sleepy Beauty and now we got little Allie! That just leaves three more. I look forward to what's gonna happen down the line. Well, I gotta get going. Things to do! Remember, reality is an illusion, the universe is a hologram! Buy gold! BYYYYYYYYYE!" Bill said, vanishing in blue flames.
"Ugh, I never liked that guy." Pacifica said.
"And I never asked YER opinion! Now, ta see how my 'friend' is doin'!" Gideon said, heading for a different section of the lab, where he finds a twelve-year-old boy with messy brown hair trapped in what looks like a dark purple capsule unconscious. "Hello, friend! How're ya doin'? Still sound asleep? How adorable! Ya won't be havin' it fer a while when I'm through with YOU! Hehehehe!" Gideon said, leaving the chamber.
"Are you gonna be going soon?" Pacifica asked.
"Yepper! Make sure my lab's well protected! I gotta head fer that sandspit of a world!" Gideon said, summoning Heartless that look like bandits and fat bandits, as well as Black Xetis that look like scorpions and cobras. "Git movin' ta Agrabah! Y'all're gonna help Jafar find the next Princess AND that world's Keyhole and the Light Crystal piece! Do...NOT...fail me!" Gideon commanded, as the Bandit and Fat Bandit Heartless and the Desert Crawler and Venom Fang Black Xetis leave. "Gotta go now, Paz! Be a good girl fer me!" Gideon said, leaving the dark laboratory.
"This is not gonna end well..." Pacifica said, looking out the lab's window again.
Meanwhile, Arthur, Sora, Eilonwy, T.J., Calla, Donald, Goofy, Max, Robin, and Tod return to the Gummi ship and leave Traverse Town to get ready to head for the next world, but Arthur is still thinking about his fight with Silver Knight and Morgan.
"Hey, you still thinking about those jerks?" T.J. asked.
"Y-Yeah... I still can't believe I..." Arthur stops talking.
"What matters is you're fine now." Eilonwy said.
"And if they ever show up again, we'll make them pay!" Max said.
"You're not still hurt, are you?" Sora asked.
"Just my confidence... I'm sorry I made you all worry about me." Arthur said.
"Don'tcha wanna rest up?" Goofy asked.
"I-I can't...! I don't want people fighting for me. I just don't wanna feel like I'm slowing everyone down anymore!" Arthur said, tearing up.
"You're NOT slowing us down!" Robin said.
"No matter what, we're here for you." Eilonwy said.
"We're in this together." Calla said.
"They're right! It's just like you said, we're a team and we need to act like one." Donald said.
"And I'll protect you, Artie, no matter! I'm NOT losing another friend!" Sora said.
"Th-Thank you. All of you..." Arthur said, as Tod gets on Arthur's head.
"And I'm here for you, Arthur." Tod said.
"So, where to now?" Eilonwy asked.
"Well, since Cid installed that Navi-Gummi, we should be able to get to new worlds." Robin said.
"It's just a matter of finding out where to go at this point." T.J. said.
"Say, Chip, Dale, spot anythin' yet?" Goofy asked.
"We have! There's a portal next to Olympus!" Chip said.
"Take the Gummi ship over to that portal and it'll take ya someplace new." Dale said.
"Pilot!" Sora said.
"Knock it off!" Donald yelled.
"SHUT UP!" Call shouted, making the two quiet.
"Thank you." Eilonwy said.
The Gummi ship starts flying for the portal and they later reach the portal, which takes them to a different section of space.
(Gummi Theme: Blast Away-2)
"Whoa!" Sora said.
"New area!" Eilonwy said.
"Let's hurry and head for the next world." Donald said.
The Gummi ship continues flying while dealing with Heartless ships and dodging meteors and space junk and later, they arrive at the next world that looks like a giant mushroom with many pipes, villages, a castle at the top while another castle is at the bottom.
"This is sorta new." Arthur said.
"This world's known as the Mushroom Kingdom. It's where mushroom inhabitants known as Toads live and there's a princess, who rules that kingdom." Chip explained.
"But they're some baddies there too. Namely, the Koopas and they have a very awful and ruthless king." Dale said.
"That's interesting." Max said.
"Let's have ourselves and look." Max said, as they disembark.
One night on a tall grassy hill, there is a pedestal, which contains six stars with different colors of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple, but then, three shadow figures arrive at the pedestal.
The first figure is a giant yellow turtle-like monster with red hair, sharp teeth, claws, spikes on his green shell and tail, horns on his head and wearing spiked bracelets on both arms and his neck.
The second figure is a smaller yellow turtle-like monster with red hair tied to a ponytail, one tooth, small claws, spikes on his green shell, small horns on his head and wearing black bracelets on his wrists.
The third figure is what looks like a turtle creature with glasses and wearing a blue robe and long hat while riding on a broomstick.
"Finally, here we are! Rainbow Meadows! The place that holds the mystical Rainbow Stars!" The first figure said.
"Legend has it that these stars contain unimaginable power! It's said these were created by the Star Spirits, but because their power is too great, they must be contained here! Such a waste!" The third figure said.
"What're we waitin' for?! Let's nab 'em! We'll use 'em to crush the Super Stupid Bros. and take over the Mushroom Kingdom!" The second figure said.
"Hahahaha! Well said, son! Okay, let's get nabbin'!" The first figure said, as they start going for the Rainbow Stars, but a barrier blocks the way. "You've GOTTA be kiddin' me! A barrier?!" The first figure asked.
"Forgive me, Lord Bowser! I've failed to mention one slight detail; it seems the Star Spirits somehow knew someone would try to take the Rainbow Stars and created a barrier to block off any intruder." The third figure said.
"Grrr! I HATE the Star Spirits! Okay then, Kamek, try blasting that barrier!" Bowser ordered.
"I regret to inform you that even my magic is useless against it." Kamek said.
"Drat! How're we gonna get those stupid stars now?!" Bowser asked, crossing his arms.
"Fear not, for there is a way. The Star Spirits have created a powerful item known as the Rainbow Scepter! It's hidden somewhere in the meadows and it might take years to..." Kamek was cut off.
"Found it!" The second figure said, finding what looks like a colorful scepter on another pedestal.
"Nice work, Jr.! Now, come to papa!" Bowser said, but another barrier blocks the way. "ARGH! STUPID STAR SPIRITS!" Bowser shouted.
"Calm yourself, Your Burliness! There must be another way." Kamek said.
"Perhaps if I can be of assistance?" A voice asked, revealing to be Maleficent and with her is Ruber, as well as a short masked warrior with yellow eyes while wearing a purple cape, armored shoulder pads, and white gloves.
"What're you doin' here, Maleficent? If you're here to take down the barriers, fat chance! Like Kamek said, magic won't work." Bowser said.
"Perhaps not ordinary magic, but..." Maleficent stops talking, as she unleashes dark magic and unleashes black and purple lightning at the Rainbow Scepter's barrier, destroying it.
"Whoa! She took it out, no problem!" Bowser Jr. said.
"Dark magic! Of course!" Kamek said.
"There, now you can use that scepter to take the stars." Maleficent said.
"Bwahahahaha! I owe ya one for this, Mallie!" Bowser said, but Maleficent unleashes purple lightning on the Koopa King.
"Never call me that. Now, take the scepter and the stars!" Maleficent said, disappearing black and green flames.
"Remember, Bowser, we need to find this world's Keyhole. Do what you must. Meta Knight, the foolish warriors of light will be here soon. I want you make sure they don't get in Bowser's way." Ruber said.
"As you wish, Lord Ruber. I won't fail." Meta Knight said, as Ruber disappears in darkness while Meta Knight disappears in his cape.
"Dad, are ya okay?" Bowser Jr. asked.
"Never mind that! Time to finish the job!" Bowser said, taking the Rainbow Scepter and then uses it to destroy the Rainbow Stars' barrier. "Oh, YEAH! I am ROCKIN' this new power! Now, to take what's ours!" Bowser said, as he, Bowser Jr., and Kamek steal the six Rainbow Stars.
"We've done it! Now we have possession of all the Stars." Kamek said.
"Bwahahahaha! Yes, YES! Now, I think it's time I paid a visit for my very good friend!" Bowser said, as he, Bowser Jr., and Kamek leave Rainbow Meadows.
Later, it's daytime at a cottage in the fields and flying for the cottage is what looks like a flying turtle creature, who places an envelope in a mailbox.
"MAIL CALL!" The flying turtle called, flying away.
Coming out of the cottage is a man with brown hair and mustache while wearing a green shirt with blue overalls, a green hat with an L on it, white gloves, and brown shoes, as he checks the mailbox and finds the envelope and goes back into the cottage.
"Hey, bro! We got mail!" The man called, as another man with brown hair and mustache while wearing a red shirt with blue overalls, a red hat with an M on it, white gloves, and brown shoes arrives.
"Oh, who's it from, Luigi?" The other man asked.
"It looks like it's from Princess Peach! I think it's an invitation." Luigi said.
"Let me see." The man said, looking at the mail and opens it, revealing to be a letter.
"Dear, Mario,
Tonight is the Shooting Star Festival and everyone in Toad Town is getting ready to set up. Would you please come and help and once everything's ready, our festival will begin. I look forward to seeing you.
Princess Peach."
"Tonight's the Shooting Star Festival, eh? That sounds fun." Luigi said.
"I'd better go and help with what Princess Peach needs. Wanna help, Luigi?" Mario asked.
"Sure. Beats sitting around doin' nothing, y'know." Luigi said.
Mario and Luigi leave their cottage and go for a green pipe and use it to go down and later, the pipe takes them to a town full of humanoid mushrooms, who are working to prepare for the upcoming Shooting Star Festival.
"Wow, everyone's working really hard to get this festival started." Mario said.
"Tell me about it. This is exciting. Say, Bro, why don'tcha go find Peach? I'll see if anyone needs help around here." Luigi said.
"Okay, we'll see you later, Luigi." Mario said, moving.
Mario makes his way through town and later finds a young woman with long blonde hair, blue eyes, wearing a pink and red dress, long white gloves, blue earrings, and a gold crown and with her is an elderly Toad with a white mustache and a tan mushroom head with brown spots and wearing a purple vest and a red bowtie.
"Hello, Princess!" Mario said, making the woman turn to see Mario.
"Mario! You came! I'm so glad you're here!" Peach said.
"You're just in time, Master Mario! We're getting ready to get this festival set up and we could really use your help." The elder Toad said.
"No problem, Toadsworth. So, what can I do to help?" Mario asked.
"Well, I think we need help with..." Peach was cut off by a rainbow blast coming down from the sky, scaring the Toads.
"What's this?" Mario asked, as more rainbow blasts come down from the sky to cause damage to the town, destroying many buildings, making the Toads run in terror.
"What's going on?" Peach asked.
"Bwahahaha! Looks like someone has forgotten to invite ME to the party!" A voice said, as someone arrives in a flying clown car and it's Bowser, who jumps down to confront Mario. "Well, well, well, if it isn't my favorite archenemy, Mario!" Bowser said.
"What do you want now, Bowser? Can't you see we're busy?" Mario asked.
"Aww, that's cute! You're busy! Guess what, I've been busy too...busy planning on DESTROYING you!" Bowser said.
"Haven't you learned yet, Bowser? No matter what plan you have, Mario will always stop you!" Peach said.
"Bwahahahaha! You're right, Princess! It's always the same, Mario and I fight and Mario always wins. This time, I'M gonna win!" Bowser said.
"We'll see about that!" Mario said.
"Thrash him good, Master Mario!" Toadsworth said.
Bowser delivers slashes at Mario with his claws, only for Mario to dodge the attacks and delivers a strike with his hammer to the Koopa King, dealing damage, but Bowser retaliates with breathing fire to deal burning damage to the plumber, who recovers and then strikes back with his hammer and deals more damage to Bowser, knocking the Koopa King back.
"Had enough yet, Bowser?" Mario asked.
"Grrr...! You haven't lost your touch, Mario! Still, I always have something in my shell!" Bowser said, taking out the Rainbow Scepter.
"Th-That's...!" Peach stops talking.
"Bwahahahaha! That's right! The Rainbow Scepter! Tell me, Mario, ya remember the Star Rod, right? Well, THIS baby's just as powerful! Here, lemme give ya a demonstration!" Bowser said, using the Rainbow Scepter to cover himself in rainbow aura.
"If that's how you want it..." Mario said, charging to attack.
"Mario, no!" Peach called, but Mario tries to attack Bowser with his hammer, but deals no damage.
"BWAHAHAHAHA! You idiot! I'm invincible, again! Ya can't stop me now! Mario, I had fun with our time together, but now it's...GAME OVER!" Bowser said, as he breathes rainbow flames at Mario, damaging the plumber, who falls to the ground.
"MARIO!" Peach cried.
"BRO!" Luigi cried.
"BWAHAHAHAHA! I LOVE this power! The Star Spirits were IDIOTS to make this! Now, I'm unbeatable! In fact, let's give this another whirl!" Bowser said, using the Rainbow Scepter to unleash a powerful rainbow lightning over Peach's castle and destroys it.
"Oh, no!" Peach said.
"BWAHAHAHAHA! Now you know, I'm ALL-POWERFUL! Ya can't stop me! Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got some STUFF to do! I'll be back!" Bowser said, getting back on his clown car and flies away.
"This is awful! How could Bowser get his hands on the Rainbow Scepter?" Toadsworth asked.
"Hang on, Mario!" Peach said, taking out a Life Shroom and feeds it to Mario, who recovers.
"Whoo-hoo! I'm better already, but still, Bowser has a new weapon. Where did he get the Rainbow Scepter?" Mario asked.
"He didn't just steal the Rainbow Scepter! That chump also stole the Rainbow Stars!" A voice said, as they see a female Goomba with blonde hair and wearing an archeologist helmet. "He must've used that Rainbow Scepter to break through that protective barrier to steal the six Rainbow Stars!" The female Goomba said.
"Goombella! You know about the Rainbow Stars?" Mario asked.
"Who doesn't? The Rainbow Stars were magical items created by the Star Spirits, but because they contain a lota power, the Star Spirits created Rainbow Meadows and kept them contained, so no one would abuse their power. They even created the Rainbow Scepter to make it as powerful as the Star Rod and kept that safely hidden along with the Rainbow Stars. If those Stars and the Scepter are in Bowser's hands, there's just no tellin' how dreadful things are gonna get." Goombella explained.
"But how can we beat Bowser if he has the Rainbow Stars AND the Rainbow Scepter?" Luigi asked.
"The first thing to do is take back the six Rainbow Stars. Then, we try and take back the Rainbow Scepter." Peach said.
"In that case, Luigi, let's-a go!" Mario said.
"Okie dokie!" Luigi said.
"I'm going too! We need to work together to stop Bowser!" Peach said.
"I'm comin' too! I wanted to attend the Shooting Star Festival, but Bowser had to muck everything up and I wanna headbonk that jerk to next week!" Goombella said.
"It's settled. Let's get moving!" Mario said, as they start moving.
(World of Mushroom Kingdom)
Arthur, Sora, Eilonwy, T.J., Calla, Donald, Goofy, Max, Robin, and Tod arrive at what looks like a town, but it's severely damaged.
"Gawrsh, what happened here?" Goofy asked, looking around.
"Did the Black Xetis and Heartless attack this place already?" Tod asked.
Just then, Zombie Black Xetis and Soldier Heartless appear.
"Here they are!" Sora said, taking out his Keyblade.
"Let's deal with them!" Arthur said.
(Battle Theme: Super Battle)
The Zombie Black Xetis deliver strikes with their limbs followed by throwing one of their limbs at the party while the Soldier Heartless deliver strikes with their claws followed by spin kick attacks, only for Arthur to cast Gale to unleash a wave of wind to blow the enemies away while Sora delivers five slashes with Kingdom Key followed by two vertical slashes and then casts Earth, but the Soldier Heartless deliver leaping attacks while the Zombie Black Xetis spin attack. Donald casts Aero to protect the party and then shoots three magic bullets from his staff followed by casting Blizzard while Eilonwy unleashes three magic orbs from her tome followed by unleashing five more magic orbs and then casts Volt, only for the Zombie Black Xetis to go underground and attack from the ground. Tod uses Growl to push the enemies away while Goofy delivers three bashes with his shield followed by Tornado, but the Soldier Heartless deliver more spinning kicks while the Zombie Black Xetis throw their limbs, only for Robin to shoot four arrows followed by firing five more arrows and then uses Cyclone Arrow. The Zombie Black Xetis deliver spinning attacks with their limbs while the Soldier Heartless deliver leaping kick attacks, but T.J. delivers five slashes with his daggers followed by taking out stink bombs and throws them to deal poisonous damage while Max delivers diagonal slashes with his with sword and then uses Shield Boomerang. The Soldier Heartless jump in the air and deliver diving kick attacks while the Zombie Black Xetis dig underground and rise to attack from the ground, but Calla unleashes five magic music notes followed by unleashing six more magic music notes and then casts Triple Fire while Arthur delivers five slashes with Excalibur and they defeat the enemies.
"Of course the Black Xetis and Heartless have to be here." Donald said.
"You don't suppose the Keyhole's here, do you?" Calla asked.
"Maybe. Let's take a look around and see if we can find someone." Arthur said and they nod.
(Field Theme: Mushroom Kingdom)
The party begin moving through the town, where they find many Toads trying to rebuild the town and they find Toadsworth.
"Oh, visitors! Hello, welcome to Toad Town! Well, I would love to officially welcome you, but I'm afraid our town has been attacked." Toadsworth said.
"Did the Black Xetis and Heartless do this?" Robin asked.
"I'm afraid not. Bowser, the Koopa King, attacked the town with the Rainbow Scepter he stole." Toadsworth said.
"That's terrible." Max said.
"Is there anything we can do?" Sora asked.
"Hmm? You wish to deal with Bowser? I appreciate the thought, but Master Mario and Princess Peach are actually the ones to go and deal with that awful brute. They already left." Toadsworth said.
"Ya don't think that Bowser fella's workin' with the Black Xetis and Heartless, do ya?" Goofy asked.
"If he's the one, who attacked this town and is using a powerful item, then it's possible." Eilonwy said.
"In that case, let's go find this Mario character." Calla said.
"Let's go." Sora said.
The party make their way to leave town and later, they arrive at a grassy field and they begin their quest to find Mario, but as they keep moving through the grassy fields, they see four people surrounded by Large Body Heartless, Air Soldier Heartless, Werewolf Black Xetis, and Spider Black Xetis.
"Mama Mia! Just what are those things?" Mario asked with a hammer in his hand.
"Waaa! What do we do?" Luigi asked, shaking in fear.
"Get lost, stupid jerks!" Goombella yelled.
"Oh, no! They're in trouble!" Sora said.
"C'mon, let's beat the snot outta these creeps!" T.J. said, as they confront the enemies.
"Who are you?" Peach asked.
"Don't worry! We got 'em!" Arthur said.
"Leave this to us!" Sora said.
"I don't know who you people are, but I'm gonna help!" Mario said.
"Let's teach these jerks a lesson!" Goombella said.
The Large Body Heartless begin double punching at the party while the Werewolf Black Xetis deliver slashes with their claws, but Arthur casts Gale to blow away the enemies while Sora triple slashes with Kingdom Key followed by two diagonal slashes and then uses Stun Impact, allowing Mario to deliver three swings with his hammer followed by a stronger smash attack, but the Air Soldier Heartless deliver air somersault kicks while the Spider Black Xetis unleash webs. Eilonwy casts Frost followed by casting Quake while Donald casts Thunder followed by casting Fire, only for the Werewolf Black Xetis to retaliate with biting attacks with their fangs while the Large Body Heartless slam on the ground, creating shock waves, but Goombella delivers a headbonking strike. The Spider Black Xetis deliver strikes with their legs while the Air Soldier deliver flying charge attacks, only for Goofy to use Tornado while Luigi double swings his hammer and then creates a green tornado while Calla uses her lyre to unleash magic music waves followed by casting Thunder Shot. The Large Body Heartless deliver charging attacks with their bellies while the Werewolf Black Xetis deliver spin attack with their claws, but Robin uses Windmill Bow while Tod delivers strikes with his tail while Peach delivers three strikes with her parasol followed by taking out a Fire Flower and shoots a fireball, only for the Spider Black Xetis to try and trap the party in webs. T.J. delivers three fast slashes with his daggers followed by spinning slash attacks while Max vertical slashes with his sword followed by Cyclone, but the Werewolf Black Xetis enter their frenzy mode while the Large Body Heartless get angry and the Werewolves begin slashing wildly with their claws while the Large Body Heartless charge to attack. Sora to use Sonic Blade and dashes all over while Arthur uses Holy Blade and coats his sword with light delivers a powerful barrage of slashes followed by a slamming sword strike and they defeat the enemies.
"Taken care of." Robin said.
"Thank you. You really helped us." Peach said.
"Yeah! You guys were, like, totally awesome!" Goombella said.
"Hey, you guys were good too." Arthur said.
"We're just glad we came in time to stop the Black Xetis and Heartless." Eilonwy said.
"Black Xetis? Heartless? They sound very bad." Luigi said.
"They are!" Donald said.
"Not to sound ungrateful, but what are doing out here?" Mario asked.
"We're trying to find Mario and see if we can try and stop this Bowser character." Arthur said.
"Wait, you're here to stop Bowser?" Peach asked.
"Yeah, because he's using some powerful item." T.J. said.
"Yes, the Rainbow Scepter. Bowser stole it, along with the six Rainbow Stars, powerful items created by the Star Spirits. We're going to put a stop to his evil plans before he does something very dreadful." Peach said.
"I happen to be Mario and if you're willing to help, then I'll gladly accept." Mario said, offering his hand.
"Great!" Sora said, taking Mario's hand.
"Then it's settled. My name is Peach and I'm the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom." Peach introduced.
"My name's Goombella! A Goomba archeologist. Nice to meetcha!" Goombella introduced.
"And I'm Luigi! I'm my bro's bro!" Luigi introduced.
"I'm Arthur. These are Sora, Eilonwy, T.J., Calla, Donald, Goofy, Max, Robin, and Tod." Arthur introduced.
"So, where're gonna find these Rainbow Stars? How're we gonna find Bowser?" Max asked.
"Since Bowser has the Rainbow Scepter and the Rainbow Stars, he's likely waiting at his castle and we're gonna make our way through Koopa Village." Peach said.
"Okay, let's go there." Donald said.
The party begin moving through the grassy field to get to Koopa Village, but they see more Black Xetis and Heartless, only for the party to defeat them and keep moving through the grassy field and later, the party arrive at what looks like a mushroom plain, where they confront more Black Xetis and Heartless, but Arthur and Sora defeat them and keep moving through the mushroom plains, as they cross a bridge and later find what looks like a village and enter it, only to find no one around.
"This place is quiet." T.J. said.
"What happened around here?" Mario asked.
"Is it the Black Xetis and the Heartless?" Goofy asked.
Unknowing to them, four figures are watching the party from a roof of a building.
"Yo, dude! It's Mario! Kammy told us he'd be here!" One of the figures said.
"Now, we get to jump him and get our revenge!" The second figure said.
"Looks like he brought himself new chumps for us to beat too!" The third figure said.
"Okay, dudes! Get ready for an good ol' ambush! Wait 'til their guard's down and WHAM!" The fourth figure said.
"I don't think we'll be able to find anyone around here." Donald said.
"Should we move on?" Eilonwy asked.
"I suppose so. We have to hurry and find Bowser." Peach said.
"Right. Let's get moving." Arthur said.
"You're not goin' anywhere, punks!" A voice said.
"What? Who said that?" Calla asked, taking out her lyre.
"Come out!" Max yelled, taking out his sword and shield.
Coming out are the four figures, who are four Koopas wearing different colored masks and shells that are red, green, black, and yellow.
"Who're you four?" Sora asked.
"Glad ya asked! We're the loyal followers of King Bowser! The best of the best! The fearsome foursome! Red!" Red introduced.
"Black!" Black introduced.
"Green!" Green introduced.
"And Yellow!" Yellow introduced.
"And we're..." Red stops talking, as they strike a pose.
"THE KOOPE BROS.!" The Koopa Bros. introduced, making the party sweat drop.
"The Koopa Bros.?" Robin asked.
"More like the Stupid Bros.!" Calla said.
"Hey, where do ya get off insulting us like that?! You're gonna pay!" Yellow yelled.
"Chill, Yellow! They're just tryin' to get in our heads 'cause they're jealous of our awesomeness!" Red said.
"I remember you! I stormed your fortress and rescued Eldstar from you!" Mario said.
"So, ya DO remember us, eh, Mario? That's great 'cause we've been WAITING to get our revenge on ya for humilitaing us!" Red said.
"Yeah! After our last defeat by you, we've trained our butts off to prepre to face you again!" Green said.
"Now it's payback time!" Black said.
"Okay, can we shut these Joker Bros. up now?" Goombella asked.
"Thought ya never asked!" T.J. said, taking out his daggers.
"Here we go!" Luigi said.
"Get ready for a beatdown! Koopa Bros., let's waste 'em!" Red said, as Yellow gets on the bottom while Green gets on while Black gets on and Red is at the top and they form a tower.
The Koopa Bros. deliver their spinning shell tower attack at the party, who avoid the spinning tower attack, but the Koopa Bros. keep spinning their shells to attack, only for Arthur to cast Quake to make the Koopa Bros. topple, allowing Sora to cast Earth to make the Koopa Bros. fall off their tower formation and are now separate, but Red delivers a spinning shell attack while Green delivers a shell charge attack. Donald casts Blizzard to deal freezing damage to the Koopa Bros. while Peach uses Thunder Rage and unleashes bolts of lightning, only for Black to deliver a leaping shell strike while Yellow delivers lunging shell attack, but T.J. uses Divide to create two clones of himself and they deliver fast strikes with their daggers while Max uses Shield Boomerang. Red retaliates with taking out a hammer and starts attacking with it, only for Mario to strike back with his own hammer followed by Power Smash while Goofy delivers two bashes with his shield followed by Charge, but Black takes out a boomerang and throws it at the party, only for Calla to use her lyre to unleash magic music waves followed by casting Triple Blizzard. Yellow strikes back with spinning his shell to attack while Green takes out three Bob-Ombs and throws them to deal exploding damage, but Goombella uses Headbonk while Eilonwy unleashes three magic blasts from her tome followed by casting Frost while Luigi uses Green Tornado and creates a green vortex. The Koopa Bros. get back on their tower formation and deliver their spinning shell attack to strike at the party, but Tod uses Tackle to make the Koopa Bros. topple again, allowing Robin to use Arrow Bombs and the Koopa Bros. are back to being apart.
"Dude! These jokers are makin' a joke outta us!" Black said.
"Keep your calm, Black! We're NOT letting 'em get the best of us!" Red said.
"Yeah! Let's get serious!" Green said, as Red takes out two swords while Black takes out two sais while Green takes out a staff while Yellow takes out nunchuks.
"Now you punks're in for it!" Yellow said.
"That's not gonna change one bit!" Robin said.
Red deliverslashes with his swords while Black attacks with his two sais while Green delivers strikes with his staff while Yellow attacks with his nunchuks, only for Mario to deliver four swings with his hammer followed by Fire Drive and swings his hammer to throw a fireball to deal burning damage while T.J. delivers spinning strikes with his daggers while Goombella uses Multibonk. Yellow strikes back with a spinning shell strike followed by attacking with his nunchuks while Green delivers a slamming shell attack followed by striking with his staff, only for Peach to use Peach Blossom and unleashes a flurry of pink petals to deal stunning damage while Calla uses her lyre to unleash five magic music notes followed by unleashing four more magic music notes while Tod uses Skullbash. Black spins his shell to strike at the party followed by striking with his sais while Red leap attacks with his shell followed by slashing with his two swords, but Goofy blocks with his shield and then uses Tornado while Luigi uses Green Thunder and unleashes green bolts of lightning while Eilonwy casts Volt followed by casting Gale. Green takes out his Bob-Ombs and throws them to deal exploding damage while Black takes out his boomerang and throws it, but Max strikes back with five slashes with his sword followed by a spinning shield bash while Robin shoots four arrows followed by firing five more arrows and then uses Arrow Barrage. Yellow delivers flurry of attacks with his nunchuks followed by a spinning shell attack while Red throws three hammers followed by slashing with his swords, only for Donald to cast Blizzard followed by casting Earth while Sora uses Sonic Blade and dashes all over while getting the Koopa Bros. while Arthur uses Holy Blade and delivers a flurry of slashes with his light-coated sword and they finish off the Koopa Bros., knocking them back, as Red drops the red Rainbow Star.
"Oh, bummer..." Red said.
"So not cool..." Black said.
"Take THAT, Stupid Bros.!" T.J. said, crossing his arms.
"Look! The first Rainbow Star!" Peach said, as Mario picks it up.
"Great! That's one recovered and only five more!" Mario said.
"Looks like we'll have to keep going if we're gonna get the remaining ones." Arthur said.
Just then, many Koopas come out from hiding, as they surround the party.
"It's Mario! They took down the Koopa Bros.!" One of the Koopa cheered.
"Now we can live peacefully without fear again!" Another Koopa cheered.
"Wow! We totally saved Koopa Village!" Goombella said.
"Guess the Koopa Bros. were causing trouble in this village when they got the Rainbow Star." Arthur said.
"Well, looks like things will be peaceful here." Mario said.
"That's great and all, but we gotta go and get the other Rainbow Stars if we're gonna stop Bowser." Max said.
"Right. Let's go." Sora said.
"Good luck, heroes! Take down that awful Bowser!" A Koopa said.
"Thanks. We will. Take care!" Eilonwy said, as the party leave.
The party leave Koopa Village and continue moving through the shroom plains and later, they find what looks like a green pipe.
"A Warp Pipe!" Mario said.
"We can use it to take us somewhere else." Peach said.
"Really? How does it work?" Donald asked.
"Watch." Mario said, as he goes into the pipe while Luigi follows and same for Peach and Goombella.
"C'mon." Calla said, as they go into the Warp Pipe.
The party are now in what looks like a forest with trees having golden leaves.
"Gawrsh, what a beautiful forest." Goofy said.
"No time for gawking, Dad." Max said.
"Max is right. Let's go and see if we can find the next Rainbow Star." Sora said.
The party start moving through the forest and while doing so, Mario finds what looks like a a spring and jumps on it, taking them upward, so the others follow him by jumping on the spring, taking them upward as well and they land on a tree branch and begin climbing up the tree and reach the top of the tree, where they see another treetop and go over it, continuing on through the forest of treetops. The party see another spring, so they jump on it, taking them to another tree and start climbing down while going from tree to tree and find more springs, making them bounce from spring to spring until they land on a net platform, where they confront more Black Xetis and Heartless, only to fight them off. The party later arrive in the different part of the forest of treetops, as the sky is getting dark and climb up a different tree while using more springs to land on a different tree branch while dealing with more Black Xetis and Heartless, as they climb up another tree and they later reach a different treetop and arrive on a wooden platform.
"This is getting kinda annoying. Nothing but treetops. Not to sound like a whiner or anything, but this whomps." T.J. said.
"At this rate, we won't be able to find the next Rainbow Star." Robin said.
"They're gonna be found. We just gotta..." Arthur stops talking, as something confronts the party and it's a giant red flower-like monster with white spots, large green body, sharp teeth, and razor leaves.
"Great, another enemy." Eilonwy said, taking out her tome.
"It's Petey Piranha!" Peach said.
"I'm guessing this thing works for Bowser?" Sora asked.
"Yes, it does." Mario said.
"That's great. We can deal with it and move on." Robin said.
Petey Piranha uses its arms to fly into the air and tries to slam its body onto the party, who dodge out of the way, as Arthur delivers three aerial slashes with Excalibur followed by two aerial horizontal slashes and then casts Blaze while Sora vertical slashes with Kingdom Key followed by three diagonal slashes and then casts Earth, but Petey Piranha retaliates with biting with its sharp teeth followed by slamming its head to attack, only for Mario to shoot three fireballs. Petey Piranha strikes back with striking with its razor leaf arms followed by shooting fireballs, but Max blocks with his shield and then uses Cyclone and spin strikes with his sword and shield while T.J. uses Knife Barrage and throws many knives to deal damage, only for Petey Piranha to jump and tries to crush the party. Goombella uses Headbonk and double strikes while Tod triple strikes with his stick followed by Tackle, but Petey Piranha flies into the air again and then tries to slam its body to attack, only for Donald to shoot magic bullets from his staff followed by casting Thunder while Calla casts Triple Fire. Petey Piranha retaliates with shooting more fireballs at the party, only for Peach to use her parasol to block the attacks and then uses Fire Flower and unleashes fireballs while Goofy delivers four bashes with his shield followed by Charge, but Petey Piranha strikes back with its razor leaves followed by biting with its sharp teeth. Luigi delivers four swings with his hammer followed by Dizzy Hammer to stun Petey Piranha, allowing Eilonwy to unleash five magic orbs followed by unleashing four more magic orbs and then casts Blaze while Robin uses Arrow Bombs, but Petey Piranha retaliates with shooting more fireballs at the party, who dodge.
Petey Piranha delivers a spinning strike with its razor leaves to try and attack the party, who avoid the spinning attack, but Petey Piranha keeps spin attacking with its razor leaves, only for Goombella to use Multibonk to deals multi damage while Tod uses Growl to deal stunning damage, but Petey Piranha retaliates with shooting a giant fireball at the party, only for Peach to use Ice Storm and unleashes a powerful gust of ice to deal freezing damage. Petey Piranha flies into the air again and then shoots more fireballs at the party to try and burn them, only for Luigi to jump high in the air and then uses Green Thunder to bring down Petey Piranha, who strikes back with its razor leaves followed by biting with its sharp teeth, only for Robin to use Cyclone Arrow while Calla casts Thunder Shot. Petey Piranha spin strikes with its razor leaf arms to try and get the party, who dodge out of the way, as Max diagonal slashes with his sword followed by a spinning shield bash and then uses Shield Misisle while Goofy delivers three bashes with his shield and then uses Goofy Discus and throws his shield. Petey Piranha jumps into the air and tries to crush the party, who avoid the attack, as Donald shoots five magic blasts from his staff followed by casting Fire while T.J. delivers five fast slashes with his daggers followed by delivering a frenzy slash attack while Mario uses Quake Smash and deals great damage. Petey Piranha shoots fireballs at the party, who avoid the fireballs, only for Petey Piranha to deliver strikes with its leaf arms followed by a giant bite, but Eilonwy unleashes magic beams from her tome followed by casting Frost and then casts Quake, only for Petey Piranha to deliver another spinning strike with its razor leaf arms, but Sora casts Fire while Arthur casts Blaze and they finish off Petey Piranha, who roars in pain and falls to the ground.
"There goes that freakshow." Calla said.
"Guys, look!" Tod said, pointing at Petey Piranha spiiting something out and it's an orange Rainbow Star.
"Another Rainbow Star!" Luigi cheered, as Mario takes it.
"Oh, boy! That's our second one!" Mario said.
"If this is the best Bowser has to offer for minions, this is gonna be cake!" T.J. said.
"Don't be so sure. Bowser is sure to come up with a way to make things harder for us." Peach said.
"Peach is right. Let's be cautious from here on out." Arthur said, as they start moving.
Unknowing to them, Meta Knight watches the group from a tree branch.
"Impressive. They do possess skill to be sure. They may have the two of the six Rainbow Stars, but I wonder if they will stand a chance against Bowser himself, especially with the Rainbow Scepter. Perhaps a test of skill may help confirm things." Meta Knight said, vanishing in his cape.
