The courtyard of Peach's Castle had descended into absolute chaos. Explosions rocked the ground, and the air crackled with the heat of Bowser's fireballs. Zelda, riding Epona with the Master Sword held high, darted through the battlefield. The glowing blade sliced through Bowser's minions as she charged magic blasts from her hand, unleashing them in rapid succession. Epona dodged incoming flames with remarkable grace, galloping past waves of enemies.
"Stay strong, Epona!" Zelda urged, her heart pounding. "We cannot let them break through!"
Donkey Kong, meanwhile, was a whirlwind of brute force. Grabbing a massive cannonball, he hurled it into a cluster of Bowser's advancing troops, sending them flying. The massive ape roared with satisfaction, pounding his chest.
"Is this all you got? Come on!" Donkey Kong shouted, smashing another cannonball into an advancing group of Hammer Bros.
Sonic dashed across the battlefield like a bolt of lightning, his legs a blur as he spun into Bowser's minions, sending them tumbling across the ground. "You guys can't keep up with me!" he yelled, his tone playful but focused.
Nearby, Roll, Bass, and Proto Man held their ground, fighting tirelessly against the seemingly endless wave of Bowser's forces. Roll, despite her robotic nature, had the faintest trace of oil dripping down her face as she fought on, her buster cannon glowing with heat from overuse.
"I wish… I wish Mega Man was here," Roll said softly, her voice tinged with sadness. "He always knew what to do in these moments."
Proto Man grunted, his eyes narrowing beneath his visor as he shielded himself from an attack. "We don't have time for wishes, Roll. We just have to keep fighting!"
Bass fired his arm cannon at an oncoming group of Koopa Troopas, his voice edged with resolve and anger. "Yeah, and let's make sure Mega Man's legacy doesn't end here."
As the battle raged on, a roar echoed through the courtyard. Donkey Kong, his patience wearing thin, looked up at Bowser, who was still looming atop his airborne kingdom.
"Hey, Bowser!" Donkey Kong bellowed, slamming his fists together. "Why don't you stop hiding up there and come down here to fight us yourself? Or are you too scared?"
Bowser's eyes glinted with fury, and a wicked grin spread across his face. "You want me down there, ape? Fine! Let's see if you can handle the King of the Koopas!"
With a deafening roar, Bowser leapt from his floating fortress, landing with a massive crash that shook the ground. He landed dangerously close to Proto Man, the impact sending shockwaves through the battlefield. Before Proto Man could react, Bowser lunged at him, his massive claws wrapping around Proto Man's neck.
"Pathetic," Bowser sneered, lifting Proto Man effortlessly off the ground. "You're nothing but scrap metal!"
With a snarl, Bowser hurled Proto Man across the courtyard, sending him crashing into Bass. The two of them landed hard on the ground, groaning in pain as Bowser's laughter echoed through the battlefield.
Donkey Kong let out a feral roar, enraged by the sight of his allies being tossed aside. With a mighty leap, he tackled Bowser, wrapping his massive arms around the Koopa King and delivering a series of punishing punches.
"This is for the Kong Kingdom!" Donkey Kong bellowed, his fists hammering into Bowser's face with powerful, bone-rattling blows.
Bowser staggered momentarily under the onslaught, but quickly regained his footing. With a ferocious growl, he grabbed Donkey Kong by the arms, lifted him off the ground, and slammed him into the dirt with enough force to crack the earth beneath them.
"You think you can stop me, you oversized monkey?" Bowser sneered, dusting himself off. "Your kingdom was nothing compared to mine!"
As Donkey Kong groaned in pain, Bowser's eyes scanned the battlefield. His gaze locked onto Peach, and his lips curled into a sinister smile. Without a moment's hesitation, he began to charge toward her, his powerful legs crushing the earth beneath him with each step.
Peach readied herself, flames igniting in her hands as she summoned the power of the Fire Flower. She launched fireball after fireball at Bowser, but he swatted them aside with ease, his expression one of dark amusement.
"You can't stop me, Princess!" Bowser roared as he barreled toward her, fireballs spewing from his mouth as he obliterated anything in his path.
Zelda, still on Epona, galloped forward in an attempt to intercept Bowser. The Master Sword gleamed with divine energy as she swung it at Bowser, trying to halt his advance. But Bowser swiped at Epona with a powerful claw, knocking both Zelda and her horse to the ground. Epona whinnied in pain as Zelda struggled to rise, dazed from the fall.
Sonic saw his chance and dashed toward Bowser at full speed, intending to strike Bowser from the side. "Heads up, big guy!" Sonic yelled, spinning into a high-speed dash aimed at Bowser's ribs.
But Bowser was ready. With lightning reflexes, he backhanded Sonic mid-air, sending the blue blur tumbling across the battlefield, knocking him out cold. Sonic's unconscious form lay still on the ground as Bowser continued his relentless charge.
Samus, witnessing Sonic's fall, sprang into action. She lunged at Bowser, her Power Suit gleaming with newly upgraded technology, her arm cannon charged for a devastating strike. She aimed directly at Bowser's chest, determined to bring him down.
But Bowser was too powerful. He caught her mid-air with one massive punch, his fist slamming into her suit with such force that it cracked the armor. Samus was thrown back, crashing into a nearby wall, the impact causing parts of her suit to spark and fizzle.
"Not so tough without your armor, are you?" Bowser sneered, watching as Samus struggled to get back to her feet, her suit damaged and sparking.
As Bowser continued his unstoppable advance, Peach stood her ground. She launched a final fireball, but Bowser swatted it away with ease. The massive Koopa King inhaled deeply, preparing to unleash a deadly wave of fire upon the princess.
Peach barely managed to dodge his next fireball, diving out of the way just in time. The massive fireball struck the castle wall behind her, exploding on impact and knocking Peach off her feet.
Bowser towered over her, his eyes glowing with sadistic triumph. He leaned in close, his voice dripping with malice.
"This is the end, Princess," Bowser growled. "I'm going to burn your precious kingdom to ashes. And then I'll tear apart Hyrule and enslave the Kongs! You and everything you love will be nothing but dust."
He inhaled deeply, his chest expanding as he prepared to unleash a deadly wave of fire. Peach braced herself, closing her eyes against the inevitable. But instead of the searing heat she expected, Peach felt a gust of wind. She opened her eyes to see Bowser's flames being pulled away from her.
Bowser's eyes widened in shock as he turned to see Luigi standing tall, holding the Poltergust 3000 with an uncharacteristic look of determination on his face. The vacuum whirred loudly as it sucked up every bit of Bowser's flame.
Bowser snarled, his expression a mixture of surprise and anger. "You're not a hero, Luigi. You never have been."
Luigi's grip tightened on the Poltergust, his voice steady and resolute despite the fear coursing through him. "I know. I've spent my whole life being afraid. Always hiding behind Mario, always needing him to save me. But not today." He took a step forward, his gaze never wavering from Bowser. "Today, I'm not afraid of you."
With a swift motion, Luigi reversed the Poltergust, blasting Bowser's own flames back at him. The force of the attack knocked Bowser off his feet, sending him crashing to the ground with a heavy thud. His scales sizzled from the impact, but he still rose to his feet, his eyes blazing with fury. This wasn't the end. If anything, Luigi's attack had only made Bowser angrier than ever. His body trembled with wrath, the ground shaking beneath him as he glared at Luigi.
"You think that was enough to stop me?" Bowser growled, his voice shaking with a dangerous edge. He took a menacing step forward, his teeth bared in a furious snarl. "All you've done… is seal the fate of the Mushroom Kingdom!"
Bowser's gaze shifted from Luigi to the castle behind him, and without a moment's hesitation, he raised his arm high, his roar booming across the battlefield. "FIRE EVERYTHING!" he commanded, his voice filled with wrath. "BURN THE CASTLE TO THE GROUND!"
At his command, Bowser's entire remaining forces unleashed a catastrophic barrage of fireballs, Bullet Bills, cannonballs, bombs, and waves of dark magical energy. The sky itself turned black with the sheer volume of projectiles bearing down on Peach's Castle.
Luigi, Samus, Sonic, Peach, Zelda, and all the other heroes braced themselves for the end. It seemed nothing could stop the wave of destruction coming their way. But just as the first wave was about to hit, a warm, a giant golden portal formed, enveloping all the weapons and the entire floating kingdom with a bright golden light before swiftly closing, leaving no trace of doom that was headed towards the castle.
Everyone stood in shock, trying to understand what they just saw, while Tails and Dr. Light exited the castle. Their faces showing exhaustion but also relief. They joined the other heroes, all of them injured and battle-worn but still standing. The group gathered in the courtyard.
Donkey Kong broke the silence. "Tails, how did you do that?"
Tails smiled warmly. "It wasn't me.." Before he could say anything more, celestial light washed over the battlefield, bathing the battlefield in a peaceful glow. The light itself provided a calming feel.
Tails pointed at the source of the light "It was my new friend Daisy, she asked to borrow our ring"
Peach's eyes lit up with recognition and hope. "The Comet Observatory… It's here," she said, her voice filled with awe.
As if on cue, Rosalina and Daisy descended gracefully from the sky, the Power Star floating alongside them. A golden ring, Sonic's last ring, was now attached to the Power Star, glowing with a radiant light.
Peach ran up to Daisy, a mix of joy, admiration, and pride covered her face. Most importantly, she was happy Daisy was back. She threw her arms around her friend. "Daisy, I'm so glad to see you."
Rosalina, her serene presence calming the battlefield even further, floated in front of Bowser, her feet never touching the ground. She radiated an ethereal glow, her voice calm yet commanding, filled with the power of the cosmos. "This fight is over, Bowser."
Bowser, still struggling to stand, let out a deep, enraged growl. His eyes locked onto the Power Star, and his voice dripped with menace. He stared in disbelief, his voice trembling with fury. "What did you do?! Where is my kingdom?!"
Daisy stepped next to Rosalina, her arms crossed, a triumphant smile playing on her lips. She looked down at Bowser, her voice brimming with confidence.
"It was my idea," Daisy said proudly, raising her chin. "We didn't need to fight you head-on, Bowser. I realized Sonic's ring could be combined with the Power Star. All we needed to do was take away your weapon—and send it far, far away where you'll never get to it."
Bowser stared at her in disbelief, his eyes wide with shock and rage. "You… you took away my entire kingdom… without a fight?"
Rosalina floated gracefully beside Daisy, her celestial presence calming the tension in the air. Her serene smile never faltered as she gazed down at Bowser. "The cosmos supported this decision," she said gently, her voice like a soft whisper in the wind. "The balance of the universe must be maintained, and your kingdom was tipping that balance toward disaster."
Bowser's face twisted in fury, his massive fists clenching. "You… you can't do this to me! I am Bowser! King of the Koopas!"
Rosalina regarded him with calm authority. "Your power has always come from destruction, Bowser. But even the greatest forces in the universe can be removed when they threaten the balance. Your kingdom is gone, and now you have nothing left to fight with."
Daisy, glowing with pride, added with a smirk, "Next time, maybe don't rely so much on brute force. You might actually stand a chance."
Bowser's breath came in ragged gasps as he stared at Rosalina, his kingdom torn away from him in an instant. His fists trembled, not with fear but with the fury of a king who had lost everything. His eyes blazed with desperation, refusing to accept the inevitable.
"I won't be defeated like this!" he snarled, voice cracking with rage. "I'm the King of the Koopas, and I will burn everything before I surrender!"
Bowser lunged at Rosalina, his claws outstretched, ready to tear down the very stars if he had to. But before he could reach her, Samus leaped into action. She jumped onto Bowser's back, her arm wrapping tightly around his neck as he thrashed in frustration.
"You should've stayed down, Bowser," Samus said, her voice cold and determined. Bowser howled in fury, throwing her off, but Samus had already rolled to safety, her body aching as she hit the ground. Her armor was battered, but her mission was complete, the ticking of the Crash Bomb that Samus planted on his shell filled the air, and Bowser's eyes widened with horror. "No… NO!" he bellowed, but the Crash Bomb detonated. He fell with a heavy thud, collapsing into the dirt, beaten and broken. He tried to rise once more, but his body wouldn't respond.
Rosalina floated above Bowser, her presence serene yet commanding, the light of the Power Star shimmering around her. As Bowser struggled in vain, her voice rang out, calm but unyielding, like the vastness of the cosmos itself.
"This is not the end you wanted, Bowser," she said, her eyes glowing with celestial light. "But it is the one the universe demands."
Her words echoed through the air, carrying the weight of stars, as Bowser finally gave into his fate.
Sonic zipped over, dusting off his hands with a smug grin. "And here I thought you'd put up more of a fight," he quipped.
As the smoke began to clear, Roll approached, wiping away fluid that had dripped down her face earlier. She caught her breath, relieved but exhausted.
"You okay, Roll?" Sonic asked with a grin.
Roll smiled tiredly. "You know, Sonic, you're so full of yourself… but I kind of like that about you."
Sonic chuckled as Roll wrapped him in a friendly hug. "Hey, I can't help it if I'm this amazing."
The courtyard fell into a hushed silence, as the dust from the battle settled. Peach looked around, taking in the faces of her friends and allies—each one battered but unbroken. Sonic gave a weary thumbs-up, Roll smiled in delight through her damaged armor, Zelda wiped the sweat from her brow, and Donkey Kong stood tall, his chest heaving from exhaustion.
Peach's heart swelled with pride, her voice catching as she raised her hand high. "VICTORY!"
The silence broke into a wave of cheers, the sound of victory filling the air as the heroes embraced, their unity stronger than ever before.
