Chapter Two: First Date (Part One)

Starling City: Starling Park — August 3rd, 2007

Kara was sitting int the park, Lois was still in town but she was busy today, so she decided to go to the park, she had been thinking about Oliver and him asking her out on a date, she wanted to say yes, of course she wanted to, but with what Barry and Winn had told her and what she looked up on the internet, he's a huge playboy.

She wasn't sure if she could trust Oliver, "Marley?" a familiar voice brought her out of her thoughts, she looked up to see Will Schuester and his wife Emma, the couple walking with their son Daniel Schuester.

"Mr. Schuester!" Kara smiled. Marley was her old name, when she had first arrived to earth, the Danvers lived in Ohio, there she had an okay life there, she was part of glee with a boyfriend, then everything got stressful for her and Jeremiah Danvers went missing, so she, Eliza, and Alex all moved to starling city to start over, Will Schuester was her old Glee teacher and she was surprised what he was doing here in Starling City.

"How have you've been?" Kara asked, standing up hugging both Will and Emma.

"We've been good!" Emma smiled as she pulled out the hug "We didn't know you lived here now" Emma told her.

"Yeah," Kara smiled "After my family and I moved we came here!" she said "So what are you guys doing here?" she asked.

"We just moved here!" Emma beamed "Will got a job offer at Starling High, he's gonna be a history teacher and the new glee director!"

Starling High, the school Kara was going to, History class one of Kara's classes, Glee club, the club Kara was planning on joining. She had moved just to get away from the New Directions and now her school was bringing her old teacher back into her life.

"Wow! That's amazing congratulations!" Kara told Will.

"Thank you!" Will smiled, "Well we should get going, still have to unpack," Will said as Emma went to get Daniel, "Will you be going to Starling High?" he asked Kara.

"Yeah," Kara nodded.

"Okay see you after summer brake!" Will said and gave Kara one last hug. "See you" Kara said smiling.

After a few more minutes of sitting on the park bench, still debating on weather or not if she should go on the date with Oliver, until she finally pulled out her phone and pulled up Oliver's contacts in her phone, she typed a message then hit sent.

Starling City: Queen Mansion

Oliver sat in his room board, he would have been out with Laurel and Tommy but they were still mad at him for standing them up for Kara.

He had no one to talk to, well there was Barry, the two were friends only because Barry runs track and plays football but they didn't really talk.

And by this point he would have hooked up with multiple girls, but he wanted to wait to see what Kara was going to say.

A ding brought him out of his boredom, he grabbed his phone and saw it was from Kara.

Kara: Yes.

Kara: I'll go on a date with you.

Oliver smiled at his phone, it felt like his stomach was gonna tear open and butterflies would flutter out with happiness.

Oliver: Okay. Tomorrow night okay with you?

Kara: Yeah!

Oliver: Good! I'll send you the details!

Kara: Okay!

Starling City: General Hotel

Kara was at Lois' hotel, she was waiting in the elevator silently panicking, hoping Lois would be in her hotel room, she had been panicking ever since the sent Oliver the text, so she had to go to someone to talk about this with.

Normally it would be Alex, but she's 300 miles away, even though she could fly there she didn't want to risk it, so she went to Lois. Kara exited the elevator and walked to Lois room and knocked on the door.

"Coming!" Lois shouted struggling to put all the papers up that she had out and made her way to the door, she opened it and was surprised to see Kara "Kara?" Lois said "Did we plan to hang out today?"

"Uh...no," Kara fiddled with her glasses "I need your help," she said and Lois eyed her curiously "I agreed to go on a date with Oliver and it's tomorrow and he says he's going to text me the details which he hasn't yet and I don't know if it's casual or fancy!" She began to panic more as she rambled.

Lois laughed at the younger girl, she remembered her first date, and her sister Lucy's and how they both helped each other, even if Lucy was younger, she still helped Lois. "Kara," Lois stopped her from continue to ramble "Calm down, we can go to you house and look for you something to wear, and if you don't have anything in your closet then we can go shopping again" she told Kara, who nodded.

Starling City: Queen Mansion

Oliver was still in his room, thinking about how to give Kara the perfect first date, then that's when he decided to call one of the people who are closest to Kara.

"Hello?"

Barry's voice came on the other side of the phone.

"Hey, Barry, It's Oliver" Oliver told him

"Oh! Hey! What's up?" Barry said with suspicion in his voice.

"How well do you know Kara?" Oliver asked.

"She's my best friend Oliver," Barry told him "I know her like the back of my hand."

"Great!" Oliver said happily "I was hoping if you could help me set up a date for her!"

"She said yes?" Barry said confused "She hadn't said anything to Winn or I about it," he added.

"She just texted me agreeing to the date," Oliver said "But will you help me?" he asked slightly impatiently.

"Yeah," Barry agreed "But I have to warn you," he said "If you hurt her, captain of the football team or not I will beat your ass if you hurt her!" he warned Oliver.

"I won't hurt her," Oliver assured Barry.

"Okay..." and so Barry began to tell Oliver the thing Kara liked and what she liked to do in her spare time and this gave Oliver bunch of ideas.

"Thank you Barry," Oliver told him "Please don't tell Kara about this," Oliver said.

"You got it man," Barry said "and remembered my threat."

"Yeah, yeah," Olive rolled his eyes the hung up, he went to the message icon and clicked on it and clicked on Kara's name.

Oliver: Change of plans, it's going to be a surprise!

Starling City: Danvers House Hold

Lois had took Kara home, she was helping her pick out something to wear while Kara just continued to panic, Kara stopped when she saw Oliver had texted her.

Oliver: Change of plans, it's going to be a surprise!

"Why does he hate me!?" Kara dropped her phone, Lois turned to face her "He changed plans and wants to surprise me! It's just a first date why couldn't we go to the movies or something!?" Kara began to walk faster.

"Woah okay!" Lois stopped her "Before you go around burning a hole in the floor, calm down," she told her "We'll just get you to wear something that's between fancy and casual just in case" she added.

"Okay," Kara nodded calming down a bit.

So they're going on a date! Yay!
