Chapter Three: First Date (Part Two)

Danvers Household

All Oliver told her was that he was going to pick her up, she put on one of the new dresses that Lois had gotten her, it was black and went above her knees, which black heel-boots, and with Lois' she braided her hair putting it in a ponytail and curling the back.

She waited for a few minutes until she heard a motorcycle pull up, "Kara!" Eliza and Lois called out, she ran downstairs and saw Oliver getting off the motorcycle he had flowers in one of his hands.

They watched as Oliver made his way to the door, and waited until he knocked, once he did Eliza was surprisingly the first to answer it.

"Mrs. Danvers," Oliver smiled "Is Kara ready?" he asked.

Eliza nodded. Kara made her way to the door, she saw Oliver was dressed in; he wore a white shirt with a black jean jacket covering it, and dark black jeans.

"Hi Oliver," Kara smiled.

"Hi" Oliver smiled back.

"Are those for Kara?" Lois' voice came from behind Eliza and Kara. "Uhm no," Oliver said handing them out to Eliza "Their for you," he smiled at the older woman.

"Charmer," Eliza smiled taking the flowers from Oliver "Thank you" she told him.

"You're welcome," Oliver nodded "You ready?" he turned to Kara who nodded.

He held out his hand and she happily took it, she had on a red sunlight bracelet so her powers wouldn't interfere with the date at all, she only wore it on special occasions or when she was in a school play or musical.

He led her to the motorcycle as Eliza and Lois watched from the door smiling. "I hope you don't mind," he said nervously "My mom, dad, and sister are out at a gala and took the limo" he told her.

"No it's fine" she laughed lightly "We don't need a limo just for a date" she told him.

Oliver nodded with a smile, most girls he went out with when he had his motorcycle would ask why he didn't bring one of his most expensive cars or a limo, they were just using him for money and he was just having sex with them both knew what the other was doing it, but this case was different. Oliver actually liked Kara.

"Uh here!" he handed her the helmet that was on the seat of his motorcycle.

"Thanks, but what are you going to wear?" she asked.

"I have an extra one in the seat," he replied before lifting the seat up and pulling it out.

The two put on the helmets and got on the motorcycle, she held onto Oliver's waist as he began to drive, even without her powers she didn't squeeze to hard but hard enough where she made sure she wasn't going to fall.

It wasn't her first time on a motorcycle, her old boyfriend, Jake Puckerman, in Ohio had one, so she was used to motorcycles but she wasn't that used to them.

"I got you," Oliver whispered to her once he felt her grip get harder.

They soon arrived at a park owned by Oliver's family, Oliver got off first then he helped Kara off, seating both helmets on the seat "Wow" Oliver chuckled and Kara looked at him confused "Most girls who wear those helmets usually have flat hair but yours look even beautiful" he told her and Kara gave him a smile.

He grabbed her hand and led her to a spot, it had a picnic blanket on the ground and a tray filled with a mixture of Kara and Oliver's favorite snacks on it, and there was a big projector screen in front of it, as if it was a drive-in theater.

"Wow it's beautiful" Kara smiled as she sat down.

"I had a little help from Barry and your other friend Wonn" he told her.

"You mean Winn?" Kara corrected with a laugh, Oliver nodded as he walked over and pressed play on the projector.

The 'Wizard of Oz' intro popped up as Oliver went to sit next to Kara, "Barry mentioned how this was your favorite movie" he told her.

"It is," Kara told him as she picked a few M 's and ate them.

Throughout most of the movie they were silent as they just ate the snacks and watched the movie, Kara singing along to most of the songs.

"Tell me something about yourself" Oliver told her as she ate a strawberry.

She swallowed before answering. "Uh..." she thought "I'm adopted" she told him.

"Really?" he sounded fascinated by that "You really look like Mrs. Danvers" he told her.

Kara let out a chuckle "So everyone says," she said "My parents died in a fire and the only people to survive are me and my cousin" she said a frown washing away the smile.

"I'm sorry," Oliver said grabbing her hand.

"It's fine," she told him "It was a long time ago, Eliza and Alex helped me get over it" she added.

Oliver nodded, towards the middle of the movie he and Kara got closer, and he wrapped his jacket around her as she got cold, normally it wouldn't happen but she didn't have her powers, after giving her his jacket the two snuggled up together until the movie ended.

They cleaned up everything, Oliver put the blanket and projector screen in his seat, as Kara threw away the trash, they walked around for a few minutes getting to know each other better.

"So Barry says that school starts back next week," Oliver said his hand in Kara's.

"Yeah," she nodded she was trying to figure out how she was going to get there, she would asked Sara Lance, another one of her best friends, but Sara was starting her junior year and she didn't want to ruin her reputation just by being seen with a senior, she knew Sara would think it was cool but she didn't want to risk it.

There was Barry and Winn but they both had their own partners who they wanted possibly wanted to take to school, then there was flying but she didn't want to do that either.

"I was wondering if I could take you," he said to her, she looked at him "To school, I'll be taking Tommy and Laurel, and all they do is argue with each other and bring me into it and I really want to get to spend more time with you" he added.

"Sure," Kara smiled at him and Oliver smiled back.

They made their way back to his motorcycle and Oliver got her home safely walking her to the door.

"I really enjoyed our night" Kara said softly.

"Same" he told her grabbing both of her hands "Can I kiss you?" he asked.

She nodded, they both leaned in and their lips connected, it lasted a few minutes until the door opened revealing Eliza and Lois both smiling, she figured if Eliza was being the supportive mom and Lois the supportive cousin in-law, then J'onn would be the unsupportive uncle/dad figure, Alex would be the possible unsupportive big sister, and Clark would most definitely be the unsupportive big cousin.

Oliver pulled his hands away from Kara, smiling lightly, "Goodnight Kara" Oliver said.

"Goodnight" Kara nodded.

"Goodnight Mrs. Danvers and Ms. Lane" he said to the older woman.

"Goodnight" they said in unison.

Kara had made her way to her room when she realized she still had his jacket, she pulled out her phone and texted him.

Kara: I still have your jacket.

Oliver: Can I trust you to keep it safe until the next time I see you?

Kara: ofc!

Oliver: Then keep it ;)

Kara smiled at the text, she folded the jacket and put it on her dresser, she then got dressed for bed.
