Chapter 11/Supply Run
The Governor's POV
I hate leaving Andrea and Avery behind for this supply run. But I left Shane behind to watch over them. I knew I could trust him to keep Andrea safe in Woodbury.
No matter what feelings Andrea had for Shane, he didn't return them. He was pretty obsessed with Amy. Especially now that she was pregnant. His main concern was her flirtation with Martinez.
Which I had handled by telling Martinez that Amy belonged to Shane, no questions asked. He definitely wasn't happy about it, but unlike Andrea, he knew not to question me.
I decided to cut the supply run short after we empty out a local grocery store that had alot of food and bottled water.
"Are you not interested in continuing to look for weapons?" Martinez asked.
"I think we have enough for now," I replied not thinking much about it.
" He just wants to get back to blondie," Merle said, giving me a hard time.
"How do you sleep at night and not be afriad you're going to lose them?" Martinez said in a serious tone.
"I am not losing them," I answered, annoyed with Martinez."
"Merle said, laughing, "I don't know. Blondie doesn't seem to want you. Might have a runaway bride situation."
"Let's just head back before we run into more biters," I said, more frustrated by Merle's comments than I should be.
The idea of Andrea trying to escape crossed my mind often. Though I felt like it was unlikely because I felt for sure I had mentally broken her down. But what if she was one of those people who couldnt be broken? Was she stronger than he imagined?
No, she wasn't. I had taught her to undress and go to bed every time I dropped my belt on the floor. She would be too scared to run, I decided. She was truly broken. She would wait for me in my apartment, ready to make love. Stop worrying, I reassured myself.
