Chapter Twelve: Beach walks and Truths

Instead of Kara staying and Oliver driving Kara home the next day like they planned Moria sent Kara home early because she didn't want Kara staying the night.

Starling City: Danvers Household — Tuesday, September 11, 2007

It was the next day, Kara was woken up to Alex and Eliza signing 'Happy Birthday' with a stack of pancakes on a plate, the lyrics were different they added 'Earth' in front to 'Birthday'.

Kara sat in bed eating a stack of pancakes when her phone buzzed, it was Barry and Winn texting the group chat and a text from Thea.

Barry: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Winn: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Tommy: Why are you both up texting someone happy birthday?

Laurel: It's Kara's birthday you idiot

Laurel: Happy Birthday Kara!

Kara: Thank you all.

Tommy: Oh that explains why Oliver...Happy birthday Danvers

Kara: Thanks Tommy.

Thea

Thea: [Happy Birthday Gif]

Thea: Happy Birthday!!

Kara: Thanks Thea

Thea: So what are you and my brother doing for your birthday?

Kara: He says it's a surprise.

Thea: [Shocked emoji]

Kara placed her phone down, as Alex came back in her room holding a small box.

"A present?" Kara moved the plate to the side as Alex sat on her bed.

"It's something J'onn found in your pod after the DEO took it in," Alex placed the small box in front of her.

Kara grabbed the box opening it slightly, "What is it?" She asked lifting it out of the box.

"It's an hologram," Alex told Kara pressing a button as an image of Alura, "Of your mother."

Kara let out a gasp "Mom?" She began getting teary.

"He showed it to Clark and mom first, he wanted it to be special for you," Alex told her softly "J'onn wanted to give it to you himself but he's off on a mission."

Kara nodded smiling as tears escaped her face.

"Hello Kara," the hologram Alura smiled at her daughter "You've grown into a beautiful girl."

"Hi mom," Kara choked.

Kara looked up at Alex, "Thank you."

Alex nodded reaching to wipe Kara's tears. "So your boyfriend got any plans for you or are you able to have some sister time?"

"He's having some surprise set up for me," Kara sniffed "But we can watch movies and eat snacks until he actually contacts me."

Alex smiled nodding liking the fact that Oliver was taking care of her sister. She had to be honest, she was surprised they lasted this long as of Oliver.

Queen Beach House

Oliver managed to get his mother to let him, it was a drive away from the city, Oliver had everything set.

He stepped outside of the house onto the beach staring at the ocean as he pulled out his phone taking a picture before pulling up Kara's contact calling her.

Kara and Alex managed to get through three Harry Potter movies, Eliza joining them on the second movie but left to do some shopping. They were halfway through the fourth movie when Kara's phone rang.

She pulled it out looking at the caller ID seeing it was Oliver.

She smiled answering the phone getting off the couch.

"I was wondering when I'll be hearing from you," Kara smiled.

"Well I've been setting up your surprise," Oliver replied a smile on his face as well "Happy Birthday, sunshine."

"Thank you," Kara giggles "So when will you becoming to get me?"

"In a hour."

"Okay," Kara smiles "Is there anything I need to wear pacific?"

"Summer like clothes, and maybe a swim suit." Oliver answered.

"A swim suit?" Kara questioned "Its almost fall."

"True but it's still hot outside even if we are on fall brake."

"Okay," Kara chuckled "Anything else?"

"No," Oliver shook his head even though Kara couldn't see it.

"Okay." Kara nodded, she turned to look at Alex who was staring at her "Alright Oliver, I have watch one more movie with my sister then I'll be getting ready."

"Okay."

After watching another movie with Alex, Kara started getting dressed Alex helping her pick out an outfit.

She picked out a light blue dress with little flowers on it, she had white sandals on her feet, instead of putting her hair up she let it out wavy, and for her swimsuit she picked out a brown onesie that came with some shorts cover it up, she placed the swimsuit in a small bag, she had on a red sunlight necklace.

Just as they finished getting Kara ready there was a knock at the door, "I'll go get it," Alex told Kara.

Kara nodded smiling.

Outside the Danvers House

Oliver stood anxiously waiting for the door to open, when it finally did he saw a familiar yet unfamiliar face.

"You must be the person dating my sister," Alex folded her arms.

"Your Alex," Oliver questioned but sounded like a statement. Alex nodded and Oliver smiled "Kara has told me so much about you."

"Same here," Alex stepped aside allowing Oliver in. Oliver walked into the house.

"Is...Kara ready?"

"Yeah, I am."

Oliver turned around at Kara's voice, Alex stood to the side watching Oliver's reaction to Kara coming down the stairs.

"You look wonderful sunshine."

"Thank you," Kara smiled.

Kara and Oliver walked outside the Danvers house, "You brought your motorcycle?" Kara smiled.

"Yeah," Oliver smiled at her "It's the fastest way there."

Kara nods, she took the helmet that Oliver was holding out and placed it on her head.

Outside of Starling City: Queen Beach House

Oliver parked his motorcycle outside of the beach house, he got off then helped Kara off.

"Did you buy a house?" Kara joked.

"No, this is my family's beach house," Oliver shook his head "But is that something you'd like? Us and a house?" He looked at her.

Kara looked at Oliver as he stared at her, when Oliver looked at Kara he saw his future wife, the mother of his future kids. Kara saw the same thing when she looked at Oliver, but she never wanted to go into full detail as she hasn't told him about her alien side.

"I don't really know," Kara answered his question, Oliver looked at her grabbing her hand leading her into the house as she continued "When I'm with you...I don't know what I want all I want to do is be with you."

"I feel the same way."

They both smiled at each other as Oliver held the door open for her.

"Right this way," Oliver lead her to the back of the beach house that stepped onto the patio where there was a panic blanket with dinner foods on it.

"It's just like our first date," Kara let out a gasp smiling "Minus the snacks and movies."

Oliver nodded smiling at Kara leading her over to the blanket they both sat down.

While eating the two watched as the sun began to set, they talked about their dreams and what they hoped to be in the future.

Kara hoped to be a future journalist or write books for children, and Oliver hoped to do anything with Kara and not have to run his father's company.

After eating Oliver out everything inside before he and Kara took their walk on the beach, they walked hand in hand talking.

Until they stopped in the middle of the beach, Oliver reaching in his pocket.

"Kara," he started "You are the most important thing to ever happen in my life," he said, Kara looked at him eyes widened as she got on one knee pulling out a red leather box opening revealing a gorgeous ring; it was gold with little leaf diamonds around it and a big diamond in the middle. "You have changed me from being a spoiled rich playboy who only played football to a committed person, I'm passing math class thanks to you," he joked and Kara laughed tears in her eyes "You are my sunshine, and even in the short amount of time of knowing each other I do know I can't spend the rest of my life without you by my side..." he pulled the ring out the box looking at her "Will you marry me?"

Kara stared at him with teary eyes "Ollie," she choked out "We're still in high school..."

"We can wait as long as you want," Oliver quickly tells her.

"And I'm an alien..." she blurted out.

"What?" Oliver looks at her taken back by what she just said.

"Rao," she muttered as he stands up "I didn't mean to just blurt it out, I didn't know you were going to propose..."

"Woah woah," Oliver places the ring in his pocket "Slow down, don't panic just say that again..." he says softly grabbing her hand.

"I'm an alien," she repeated "Like Superman...technically I'm Superman's cousin..."

"Your Superman's cousin?" Oliver looked at her "What?"

"I'm a kryptonian, my planet exploded and I was sent to earth to protect my cousin Kal-El or as you know him Clark Kent or Superman," she explains "I've been looking for the right moments to tell you because...I see a future with you."

Oliver stared at her "I'm sorry I lied...I understand if you never..."

Oliver cut her off by kissing her still holding her hands.

"I love you Kara," Oliver told her pulling out the kiss "No matter what."

"I love you too."

"So," he pulled the ring back out "Will you marry me?"

"Yes!" Kara nodded and Oliver slipped the ring her on finger.

Their engaged!!!! So next chapter is the last chapter!!!
