Digi626: I was wondering if you're going to do the movie arcs and if you're gonna make Mellissa a ranger? Don't get me wrong giving all the colors to izuku is unique but in the entire power rangers show i grew up with i never seen a male pink ranger and I'm not counting the pirate rangers ability to change into other rangers.
This is a good question and while it is on the spoilery side of things for what I have planned, I will give you all this little tidbit: As of right now, I'm only planning on covering Two Heroes as thats the movie I can actually watch, as I do not have a Hulu or Crunchyroll Subscription. (I know I can watch it in... other ways, that hasn't been working lately). As for Heroes Rising and World Heroes' Mission... We'll see. Which brings me to the other part of your question that's going to dive HEAVILY into spoilers for THIS STORY, so you are encouraged to look away if you want to avoid what I have planned:

Yes. I have a plan for the 4 people who will be joining Izuku as Rangers, and Melissa is one of those 4. Which also means that she too, will not be getting One For All. I don't actually know who I want to give One For All too just yet, and I'm more than happy for some suggestions.

Yes, Zen-Aku will play a pretty major role in this fic, mostly because he's not... actually in the Morpher. The Luminary actually did kill him. And yet, he's going to find himself in an unfamiliar universe where everyone looks like they've been mutated to have powers. How is he going to react to that? And how is he going to react to Merrick's death, and knowing that Izuku is carrying on his legacy? That's what's going to be the most interesting part about his arc

Thank you for the kind words! For your first question, I'm really not sure. I keep flip flopping between Kyoka and Melissa since both of them feel like really good picks, but I kinda have to think about it. As for you're second question... Yes. However, to stay in line with MHA as much as possible, it won't be until the USJ. When it happens though... you'll know.
Although, I will give a hint to a future villain. If you know Power Rangers: Unworthy, you know the Arbiter. Well... You remember how Izuku, Todoroki and Tenya struggled against Stain? Now imagine if Stain had found the Arbiter.
Now, with questions and teases of the future out of the way, lets wrap up these Battle Trials, shall we? Full Disclosure, I'm going to be moving through these kind of quickly because, lets be honest, these are arcs we've all read and watched a thousand times.
And I want to get to the character stuff as that's what I feel like I'm good at.
Match 3: Toru Hagakure and Neito Monoma Vs Fumikage Tokoyami and Koji Koda
This was certainly an interesting match, from Izuku's perspective. Toru was entirely invisible, and as such, she would make for the perfect infiltrator. Neito meanwhile was a wild card. He could have any Quirk from their classmates and none of them would know, so with him, you'd have to prepare for anything. As for Tokoyami, his Quirk was dependent on light, or more accurately, lack thereof. The darker the room, the stronger he got, though he ran the risk of letting his "brother" running rampant.
Koda, meanwhile, was different. He was a pacifist, he didn't want to fight. He'd ask his animal friends to fight on his behalf, but he'd never force them to. However, far more likely was that he'd have his animals act as scouts, telling them exactly where the other team was. The fight could honestly go either-
"HERO TEAM WINS!"
Oh. Or not. Izuku looked at the monitors and saw that Monoma had copied Toru's invisibility and was now slowly becoming more and more visible as his 5 minutes ran up.
After taking a break so Monoma could put his uniform back on in private and an agreement that Toru was the MVP, the next battle got underway.
Truth be told, Izuku felt like All Might was rushing this on purpose, though he knew why: His time limit had to be running out.
Match 4: Rikido Sato & Ejiro Kirishima Vs Hanta Sero & Denki Kaminari
This match started off with a bang, quite literally. With Ejiro defending the bomb, it was up to Sato to hold Sero off while Kaminari confronted Kirishima. The result brought the term "Rock and A Hard Place" to mind, as physically, there was nothing Kaminari could do while Kirishima was in his hardened state, leading Kaminari to try using his quirk at full blast, which, while it did succeed in making Ejiro stumble back, the resulting attack left Kaminari... well...
"He looks like a doofus!" Kyoka yelled while doubled over laughing.
Yeah, like that.
Meaning that there was nothing that Kaminari could do but give that dumb thumbs up as Ejiro put the capture tape on him
On the other hand, Sato was struggling against Sero's tape. He was strong, sure, and the sugar he had on him made him especially so, but there was only so much you could do when you were wrapped up in literal pounds of tape.
"Sorry bro! Couldn't risk making it a 2v1." Hanta grinned as he put the capture tape on Sato.
"Kaminari and Sato have been eliminated!"
"Damn it man, I was hoping that we'd have numbers on our side..."
From there, it wasn't really a contest. No matter how much tape Sero made, Kirishima's hardening make his skin too sharp. It was way too easy for the Hardening User to break free, which ended in a swift knockout of the Tape User.
"HERO TEAM WINS!"
Match 5: Kyoka Jiro & Tsuyu Asui vs Mezo Shoji & Shoto Todoroki
...Let's be honest. We all know what happened here.
Frog in a Snowstorm
Unfortunately, what Shoto had failed to take into account was that one of his classmates had a literal Frog Quirk and as such, it made her hyper sensitive to the cold. To the point where now, the poor girl was knocked out cold, shivering despite the mountain of blankets that Momo had conjured up for her.
"WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?!" Kyoka meanwhile was screaming, only being held back by Mina, Ochako and Kaminari.
"That is quite enough, Miss Jiro, though I have to agree." All Might said, turning to Shoto. "Young Todoroki, you must be careful with your Quirk. What if Miss Asui had been a civilian? A child, perhaps? You must be aware of your surroundings before using your ice."
At the very least, Shoto had the decency to look ashamed as he approached Tsu in order to use the other part of his Quirk to at least warm her up, only to be stopped by Izuku.
"I understand you want to help, to make things right." Izuku said quietly, pulling Shoto aside. "But right now might not be the best idea. Kyoka is still pissed, she might not even let you get near Tsu right now. Just... let me take care of keeping her warm, and you can apologize when we get to the dorms, in private, okay?"
Shoto opened his mouth to argue but, after thinking it over, closed his mouth and nodded. He saw the logic in his words. Even if it was coming from the only person Shoto saw as real competition.
Izuku then tapped his Morpher, once again forming the Samurizer as he drew out 火, transforming himself into the Samurai Red Ranger. He then used his Samurizer and drew out 暖, meaning warmth, and sent the symbol towards Tsu, who let out a soft, satisfied croak.
"She should be okay now." Izuku said with a sigh as he de-morphed and turned to All Might. "I think we should head to the dorms now."
"I do think that would be best, Young Midoriya. You all did well today. These things happen. Keep your heads up, and treat today as a learning experience."
Like I said, I kinda breezed through the 3 remaining fights just because... to be honest, I was tired of writing them. Like, there's not even an excuse, I just really don't like writing the Battle Trials because they are ALWAYS in every story and they always feel the same. I get it, they're part of the story so they need to be there, but I digress.
Next chapter will be a far more relaxed chapter as the characters wind down while Izuku meets someone from a universe long dead in the middle of the night.
