It had been an…interesting year since the events of the Dark Revival as Audrey called it. Not only did she, herself, wish to never return to that hellish trap, but she made sure that place was decent for the victims who couldn't escape. That was the best and most considerate thing to do, especially since there was no longer an oppressive ink demon killing anything that moved.

No, things changed, for good (for once). She could resume her life and give someone a chance to be good.

Audrey was in bed, moaning at the invading sunlight. Turning didn't make much difference as something poked her. The more she ignored, the harder the poking.

She slowly opened her eyes, sitting up as the pestering object bounced on the mattress. Looking to her left, she smiled at a small, cartoonish devil darling…Bendy—and her brother.

"Good Morning to you too Bendy", she moaned with a drowsy face. Bendy tried pulling her arm with eagerness to start the day. "Easy little buddy, why the rush—oh it's today-today?" Audrey had a poster slapped onto her face. A poster of the music festival. As she removed the flyer from her face she went to the shower. "Don't cook anything. Not after last time…"

Walking into town, Audrey held her demon brother's hand. It wasn't a motherly act, it was more of a way to keep Bendy from making mischief.

The disaster he caused at the supermarket when he wandered off to find bacon soup, he tried stealing a can from another person's shopping cart. The little girl on it yelled at him and tried to take it back, Bendy pulled too hard and then he fell back. The can was unintentionally thrown over the demon and it hit a market staff member from behind, knocking him unconscious. The mother of the girl turned to the unconscious staff worker, the girl pulled her mother's sleeve.

"Mommy I saw everything! It was this…boy…", She frowned at the space Bendy was in, and the mother glared at the girl who was the only other individual.

"Did you throw that can of jam, Millie?"

Then there was the time he drew on Audrey's bill letters. People stared in a judgmental way when she requested a copy of the bill letters.

Despite that mischief, Audrey still loved her brother for all the good things he did. That time he offered to cheer up a little boy. And the time he placed a present for Audrey's landlady on her doorstep. That was the only possible reason why Mrs. Weiler warmed up to her. Not to mention him taking care of Audrey when she had the flu.

He was the kind of brotherly companion she needed. As they walked across the festival, Bendy pulled Audrey and pointed at the disco ball booth. The woman raised an eyebrow. "Since when do you like Disco?"

Good question. Bendy was part of the thirties to forties aesthetic, meaning he didn't understand themes like Elvis, Barbie, Groove, or anything popular after 1949. He even saw present-day animation as…bizarre, so it was suspicious.

"Okay, let's go".

"Audrey? Is that you?" A female voice called, making Audrey disgruntled. She moved faster to the booth. Hopefully, she can lose her annoying former high school classmate. Bendy was confused about why his sister was running away from that blonde lady.

"Um, hi, how much are these Disco ball chains?" She whispered to the man selling. He narrowed his eyelids. "Ma'am, I don't know why you are whispering in a noisy public festival. Please speak louder".

Bendy pointed at the small chain, then he raised two fingers. Audrey took out her wallet and paid ten dollars. She gave the item to Bendy and was about to run off with it until the woman she was avoiding appeared right in front of her. "Audrey! I thought that was you. What are you doing here?"

"Hello Samantha…", She greeted with forced politeness. Bendy tried to conceal himself in his hooded trench coat.

"You're finally out of your apartment! I see that even you of all people are getting out more", Samantha smiled out of perkiness.

Bendy felt uneasy about this woman. Not because he had to hide his facial features but also because he noticed how annoyed his sister was. He was struggling to understand why she was pretending to like the other woman. He wished he could defend Audrey by saying she does get out of her apartment and that this 'Samantha' was being insensitive.

"Well, it's nice to see you interacting with people for once", Samantha laughed with satisfaction, then she noticed Bendy clinging onto Audrey's leg. She mouthed the word 'oh'. "Or maybe you were not couped up in your apartment because of work. I didn't know you started a family, seeing this cutie holding onto your leg".

Audrey grimaced a bit, "Uh, yes! You got me. Uh, hey!" She grabbed Samantha's wrist which was about to uncover Bendy from his coat. "He is very sensitive to the sunlight".

"Oh…well how are you little cutie!"

Bendy tugged Audrey's pants who took the hint. "Uh, Bend—Ben! You want to go somewhere else?" Bendy nodded (head was still concealed). "Oh, sorry Samantha! I have to take Bendy to the bathroom".

Samantha frowned as Audrey took off with the child, "Bendy?"

After making sure she was asfar from Samantha as possible, she exhaled in deep relief. Bendy pointed at Audrey andthen at the direction they took away from the woman. Audrey had already mastered how to understand those who were mute. "You want to know what my deal is with Samantha?" Bendy nodded.

"She's my former classmate from when I was in school" By his look, Audrey should've known her brother would be even more curious. She sighed as they walked to an ice cream truck. "We were friends, but not anymore because she did something awful. And you must be confused as to why I'm nice to her despite that. Vanilla for me and strawberry for him", She was already ordering from the truck. "Why I'm still nice to her is a bit too complicated, but I do make sure she's nowhere near me". Bendy made a look at her indicating 'why' to her.

"If people are bad to you, then you should just stay away from them. Or talk like adults about how they made you feel. It's never good to have someone as your enemy".

There was a concert venue ahead and they walked to the area. A band seemed to be performing, "Paul McCartney!"

"You!" a little girl said with a red face, Bendy wished he could say 'oh no', as it was the girl from the supermarket. "You are the boy who got me in trouble!"

The girl walked up to him and quickly pulled off the hood of his cape, and yes, she was horrified. She started screaming in shocked fear. Bendy immediately pulled his hood back on and took off in a hurry. Audrey stared at the girl who was screaming while pointing at where Bendy was supposed to be. Knowing what that meant, she took off and started looking for her brother. "Bendy! Bendy!"

The mother of Millie dragged her away. "What did you do now?" The girl stopped screaming but stuttered.

"M—mom! That b-oy is not a p-erson! And it was the same boy from the store!"

"This again…come with me, young lady!" The mother groaned.

As Audrey was frantically searching for Bendy, she accidentally tripped and fell to a table. "Miss, are you okay?" An Afro-American accent.

"Oh! I'm so sorry Sir. Have you seen a little kid running past your store?"

"Uh, I saw A kid. He had a coat on so I couldn't tell if it was a kid or a homeless midget".

"Which way did he go?"

"He went that way—"

Audrey immediately thanked him before she ran to the Led Zeppelin booths. The man hopped off. "Hey, can I help you find the kid? Maybe I should call the police or—"

"NO! (clears throat) Nope! I'll find him eventually but thanks for the offer", She ran as fast as she could to the booths. She stopped by one with another man who eyed her.

"Miss? You look…" He said as he eyed Audrey who seemed to be panicked. "Like…like you could use a Led Zeppelin life-sized cut-out!"

"Have you seen a kid run through here? A little boy, maybe?"

"Uh…I heard a ruckus and a door slam just somewhere over there…", he frowned as the woman took off after he pointed to a door leading to the open field.

She looked around but hadno luck. Then someone's finger tapped on her shoulder. She turned around to see a woman. She had long rose-red hair, yellowish-tanned skin, and green eyes, wearing a black blouse and navy blue flare pants. "I hear you are looking for someone", she said in a French accent. "I can help you".

"Uh, no thanks", The woman gently gripped her wrist.

"I lost a partner too. I can't go home without him and I see that you can't go home without that boy you are looking for".

Audrey became suspicious, "How did you know I was looking for a little boy".

"I was close by when that little girl screamed", She leaned in to whisper. "Why exactly was he wearing a coat on a day like this?" Audrey laughed.

"He is sensitive to the sun?" She hated that came out as a question. "And who knows what dangers could happen wherever he is…"

"Follow me. I think I know where they are if my partner has already found him", the woman and Audrey were already walking to an area in the city.

Audrey…

Audrey stopped in her tracks with shock and heartbreaking fear.

Save me, I'm trapped.

"What…?"

"I said we aren't far—"

Audrey began groaning and grunting. She fell to her knees with this terrible headache. The redhead crouched down and pressed paper against Audrey's mouth. She passed out. "Je suis vraiment désolé de faire ça mais il n'y a pas assez de temps".

A car pulled over and the redhead walked up to Audrey, prepared to carry her unconscious body.

A/N: This story has a connection to one of my other fanfics. I think you'll notice in the next couple chapters.
