Mario Bros.' House
Mario was getting ready to go somewhere. "Luigi, I'm heading out to the picnic!" He called.
"Okay, you two have a good time!" Luigi called back while watching TV.
The older Mario brother heads out afterwards
Princess Peach's Castle
Princess Peach was making food for the picnic for herself and Mario as Toadsworth was watching her make the food. She smiled as she was thinking about what's going to happen today. "I'm so glad I thought of the idea of a picnic. It's been a while since we last were together. This will be the perfect opportunity." She said.
"I agree." Toadsworth nodded. "With how clear the weather is, you and Master Mario can spend the day together.
Peach nodded in agreement as she folded the picnic blanket and put it and the plates in the basket before closing the lid. The princess then picked up the basket before she and Toadsworth headed towards the front door.
At the same time, Mario has arrived at the castle.
Peach and Toadsworth were now at the front door as the former was going to open it until she heard a knock. "Who is it?" She asked.
"It's-a-me!" Mario called. Peach smiled at this before opening the door revealing the plumber. Mario was surprised to see the picnic basket. "Oh, you were already ready before I came." He said. "Good afternoon, Toadsworth."
"Good afternoon to you too, Master Mario." The elder Toad replied.
"Well, we should get going while the sun is out." Peach said before turning to Toadsworth. "Okay, we're going to the park. I'll return around the evening." She turned to Mario. "So, shall we get going?"
"Yeah! Let's-a-go!" Mario said as they both began walking towards the park.
"Have a great time you two!" Toadsworth called. As soon as Mario and Peach left, the elder Toad closed the door.
"So, they're gone already?" A Toad asked approaching Toadsworth.
"That's right. They're going to spend the afternoon on a picnic." The elder Toad said. "Let's hope that a certain Koopa doesn't ruin it." The younger Toad couldn't help but chuckle at this.
Mushroom Kingdom Park
Mario and Peach were setting up the picnic as the latter was putting down the basket. "Now with that done, we can now eat." Peach said. She opened the lid, took out the plates and placed the food on top of them. The food that is shown are two sandwiches, fruits, vegetables, summer sausages, cheese, crackers, two juice bottles and two food containers, one in red and one in pink.
"Wow, that sure is a lot of food." Mario said. He notices the food containers. "What's in those containers?"
"I'm glad you asked. It's…" Peach opened the red container revealing… "Spaghetti!"
Mario looked amused. "You made spaghetti?"
"Well I want to make something that you like." Peach opened the pink container also revealing pasta. "Besides, I made some for myself as well."
Mario uses the fork and eats the spaghetti. "This is good. I'm glad you made it." Peach smiles at this and eats her own spaghetti.
An hour later
Mario and Peach were looking at the view of the park.
"You know, I'm glad that I get to spend this picnic with you." Mario said.
"Same here. It's been a while since the last time we were together." Peach smiled. She then sighed, "I still can't believe it." Mario raised an eyebrow in confusion. "I still can't believe that Bowser tried to force me to marry him."
Mario realized what the princess was talking about. "Yeah, I can't believe it either. Of all the times that Bowser kidnaps you, he does that."
"It makes me wonder why he came up with that. Then again, he does want to take over the Mushroom Kingdom." Peach said.
"Hey, no matter how many times Bowser kidnaps you, I'll always be there to rescue you!" Mario smirked.
"I'm so glad to hear that." Peach smiled before kissing Mario on the cheek. "Now let's eat what's left here. I also got juice for the both of us." Mario nodded as they both started to eat the crackers and summer sausages.
Evening
Mario and Peach were throwing away the food they ate. "Now with that done, shall we go to the castle?" Mario asked.
"Of course. Let's go." Peach said. They both leave the park.
"I can see the castle from here, so I'll walk on my own." Peach said. "Thanks for spending the picnic with me."
"You're welcome. It was nice that we spent this day together. Well I should get going, Luigi's probably making dinner right now. See you around another day." Mario waved as Peach waved back before they walked to their respective homes.
Princess Peach's Castle
Peach was now at her castle and knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" Toadsworth said.
"It's me." She said.
Toadsworth opens the door for the princess. "Welcome back, princess. I had a feeling it was you." Peach responded with a giggle before walking in. "So, how was the picnic?"
"It was good. I was so glad that I got to spend time with Mario." Peach smiled.
"That's good to hear." Toadsworth responded.
Mario Bros.' House
Mario was now at home before knocking on the door.
"Who is it?" Luigi asked.
"It's-a me!" Mario responded.
Luigi opens the door. "Welcome home, bro. How was the picnic?"
"It was nice. We talked about a lot of things such as our past adventures and what we should do for the future."
"The future huh? Maybe we should have another Mario Party or go to a place we've never heard of before." Luigi suggested.
"Those are great suggestions! We should try that!" Mario agreed. He started sniffing something. "What are you making?"
"Lasagna. It'll be tonight's dinner."
"That's funny because Peach made spaghetti for our picnic." Mario said.
"Spaghetti for lunch and lasagna for dinner. Now I wonder why you didn't eat pasta for breakfast." Luigi teased.
"Pasta for breakfast? That would've been something else." Mario laughed.
The next day
The Mario Bros. were at home after finishing work. "Whew. Glad that we were able to fix the sink for them." Mario said.
"Yeah, I can't even imagine what would happen if we weren't there. Good thing they called us though." Luigi agreed. As Mario was going to unlock the door, Luigi saw something that shocked him. "Bro." He tapped Mario on the shoulder.
"What is it?" Mario asked as he just opened the door. Luigi pointed at something. Mario looked to see it and was shocked as well. "Mamma mia!"
What they saw wasn't something, it was someone. It was a man who was unconscious. He had blonde hair and a blue shirt. He also had a sword and a shield.
"Let's check on him, quick!" Mario exclaimed. After they put their kits down, they went to check on the man. Mario puts his ear on the man's chest. He looked relieved when he heard a heartbeat. "Good, he's breathing."
"Thank goodness." Luigi sighed in relief. "But looking at him right now, it looks like he's not from here."
"You're right. He must be from a whole different world. For now, let's take him inside the house." Mario said before he picked up the man while Luigi picked up his sword and shield and then went inside the house.
The Mario Bros. have found a man who came from an unfamiliar world. The question is who is this man and where did he come from?
