Ahem, hey guys, Our hero here, Sorry if you've been waiting for the newest chapter of Never trust for so long, I'm kind of stumped with something in the newest chapter and it's taking a while to figure out how to handle it,
Thus, since I've been writing many other stories for BigInferno we decided to post one early while I keep working on his and mine,
Sorry for the time it's taking we hope you enjoy, as a gift to my fellow writers here's a list of Uzumaki chain types I've been working on to make my Naruto stories a little more unique, feel free to take and use any you'd be interested in using for your own stories,
Uzumaki chain types,
Gold-Guardians: the Gold sturdy chains are those of the Guardians, these chains are able to do the basics of all the Uzumaki chain types except these chains grow stronger the more people their user is trying to defend, at upwards of fifty people these chains are almost impossible to break, and more so as they start truly understanding exactly what defending others means, when your weapons are chains you control with your brain and utterly unbreakable, well. . . try breaking that defense.
Black-Weavers: The black spiked chains belong to one of the most dangerous Uzumaki's to face on a battlefield, the chain weavers, these Uzumaki's can form their chains into weapons to fight from a distance or even up close, they can also have chains appear from any part of their bodies, even their eyes(this is not recommended however since it also blocks vision,) a skilled chain weaver is able to control the very ebb and flow of a battlefield, from making seeking knifes to chase their enemy to dashing into the air and having chains spawn from their feet allowing them to stand in midair, a skilled chain weaver is dangerous, a skilled chain weaver with a wind nature is suicide,
Red-Monarch's: The non-existent red chains users are always the worst to face, unlike most of their brethren they are incapable of subduing any type of special chakra at first, and the ''chains'' they use is actually their hair which is beaten down by the weaknesses of hair, thus they are born the worst combatants, but should they master their red 'chains' they become the strongest Uzumaki in exitance, capable of the power of 'Commandeer' in which Monarch's can take control of chains of the other Uzumaki's that surround them, and can even emit these chains from other people's bodies and even their own, at the start of their journey their hair is weak, but by the end it's almost unbreakable, and even after death their hair still moves as if the user was alive but now the Uzumaki have training it down to a science meaning now Monarch's are more often threats then not, Monarch's are the second rarest type of Uzumaki's with each Monarch rumored to either have a direct tie to the Original Uzumaki, or simply being born with the qualities of a leader,
Pink-Sirens: The Pink ethereal chains of the Siren Uzumaki are a rare sight even in Uzu, even back in Uzu's prime, the chains are ghostly, they pass through solid objects meaning they can't even restrain special chakra types, but an odd thing about them is they emit sound, because that's what Sirens are all about, sound, their jutsu are supersonic, they possess a sonar ability, and their chains can use vibrations to find, hurt, and even quake whatever they pass through, the Sirens are also the easiest to figure out how powerful they are, if a Siren speaks at all they're a weak siren, if you meet a Siren that never speaks, may God help you.
Green-Druid: the smooth green chains belong to the Druids, kind and amicable, are by their natures lovers of nature, friends of beasts, by wrapping their chains around an animal they can pacify them, making them friendlier to the Druid, there's no known number of animal friends a Druid Uzumaki can have, or how quickly they can make them, some have even been known to carry squirrels armed with box cutters around in their pockets, Druids are versatile, well prepared combatants, and a Druid in a forest is always to be considered a well prepared, extremely thought out trap.
Silver-Ravenous: the barbed silver chains belong to the parasites among the Uzumaki clan, which are the Ravenous, these guys have the largest chakra pool of any clan, but have no ability to regain it on their own, thus they coil their chains around their enemies and saw the chakra out of their helpless foe, or... if they get hungry enough, even their allies, the Ravenous can even steal chakra from anyone using their teeth, yes like a vampire, but there's many downsides to these types of Uzumaki, for one Ravenous is right, these Uzumaki are basically fireworks, noticeable, dangerous, and gone in an instant should they run out of chakra, and gone as in dead, but the worst time to fight one is when they're getting low, a starved Ravenous Uzumaki is a cornered feral beast, as they become thinner and faster any semblance of humanity is quickly cast aside as they revert to their primal instinct to survive, some have even demonstrated the ability to draw chakra out of nature itself.
Blue-Fishermen: Since Uzumaki are so commonly born with the water affinity there's no surprise that there's a chain type that works well with water ninjutsu, fishermen are all built like trucks from wrangling the monstrous fish that swim around Uzu, their chains move as fast as lightning when submerged, and can link to water ninjutsu, allowing techniques to be pulled in certain directions, or yanked and smashed into opponents, Fishermen often make use of hand crafted hooks they can attach to their chains, Fishermen while they aren't exactly frontline combatants themselves, are very dangerous foes, trained to Hook and rip water monsters out of oceanic depths and then Supplex them while they're dying in mid-air, thus it's no wonder why they're so scary when they actually have to fight.
Oh, quick addendum to monarchs their hair doesn't start out with the ability to stop 'special' chakra types, but it does gain that ability later in life,
Let's begin,
Ino smiled as she watched Iruka-sensei once again drag into class one Naruto Uzumaki, quickly she cracked open her notebook and raised a pencil watching as the blonde was set down back to class so that Iruka could scold him, she started sketching as Iruka started to talk to the blonde,
When the scolding began she could tell that Naruto fought back his groan as he was again forced to listen in front of the entire class while Iruka lectured him, he'd tried to explain how it wasn't his fault he'd been so late to class, but unfortunately he'd already used one too many excuses before and thus his teacher wouldn't hear of it,
"-When are you going to start taking this seriously Naruto?" Iruka asked, "That's thirty days worth of lessons you've missed in total these past four months,"
"Sorry sensei," Naruto said bowing his head,
Iruka sighed, "Sometimes I wonder if you ever really mean that," he said, then with one hand untied the blonde boy, "There's a free seat next to..." Iruka looked around and unfortunately for Ino both seats by her had already been taken, but...
"Ah," Iruka smiled, "Katsuragi can you raise your hand?"
"Sure sensei," The long blonde-haired blue-eyed maiden raised her hand high,
"Go sit next to her Naruto," Iruka instructed,
Naruto nodded and then walked past Ino to where Katsuragi was sat, he slightly deflated as Sakura gave him a glare as he walked by her and Ino sighed at the pink haired girl's attitude,
Sakura was Ino's best friend, but she was very prickly when it came to the blonde boy Ino had a crush on, though Ino figured that was cause of how Sakura saw their relationship,
Basically, until coming to the academy Ino and Sakura were inseparable, but then when they came to the academy, they both fell in love with two utterly polarizing young men, Sakura fell for the dark-haired class heartthrob Sasuke Uchiha, and Ino was absolutely enchanted by the blonde haired troublemaker Naruto Uzumaki,
Both boys had many admirers leading to the creations of both of their fan clubs, of which you guessed it, Sakura led one, and Ino founded the other,
Outside of the academy they hung out and were still great friends... until questions started being asked, she once asked Sakura why she liked a duck haired emo jerk like Sasuke and fists started flying,
Of course, only in retaliation for the week prior where Sakura asked Ino why she'd fall for a boy with no future,
And that had been going on for years, at this point neither of them knew who of them had started it, but when it came to their dream men both girls were practically gang leaders, and anyone caught daring to bad mouth their men would be met with force,
While Sakura certainly had more girls in love with the ass that was Sasuke Uchiha, they couldn't match the skill of Naruto's fan club,
But Ino shook her head and closed her notebook, now wasn't time for any of that, she paid dutiful attention to her lessons as class went into lunch, that's where it would begin, Ino patted the leg of the girl next to her, giving her the signal,
The sound of her tongue clicking was all Ino needed to hear to know the message was received, and thus when Iruka broke for lunch Ino, Katsuragi and several other girls got up almost in perfect sync,
As Ino walked by Sakura she dropped a piece of paper telling her where they'd finally settle this, and the glare from the pinkette was all Ino needed, this'd be over soo-,
... It was small, but the sound was heard, Naruto's fan club turned to see the blonde boy paler than usual, grasping at his head,
Iruka looked past the gathered girls to the young boy, "Naruto?" he asked, his eyes widening when he realized the blonde boy was so much paler then he should be, he walked up and touched his head, "That's unusual," he said with a frown, then he kneeled down to meet the boys eyes, "Naruto?" he asked, "Can you stand up?"
When Naruto tried to stand, he swayed and fell onto Katsuragi, "I-," he tried speaking but as Katsuragi caught him she realized how hot he was,
"Whoa Uzumaki you're running a fever," the blonde girl stated,
"I... what?" he asked before doubling over,
And vanished before everyone's eyes,
Before a panic could be raised the speakers in the classroom turned on, "Hello Teachers and Students, this is the Hokage speaking," came the voice of Tsunade Senju, "No need to panic about the disappearance of Naruto Uzumaki, you see I figured this would happen and had someone on standby in case it happened," the kage spoke calmly and kindly, "This is normal for a member of the Uzumaki clan-"
The Words 'Uzumaki clan' sparked hushed whispers in the class and perked Ino's interest,
"On their thirteenth birthday the Uzumaki clan members undergo a sort of puberty unique to them, by tomorrow your friend will be awake again, but right now rest is very important for him to mature as he should, though it is perhaps unfair that he should rest and you should not, ergo why not all of you take the rest of the day off?" she suggested, "Tomorrow I'll have prepared a very special lesson on the Uzumaki clan, so save all your questions for then, have a lovely day,"
And with that the speakers turned off and the class started milling about,
But Ino's attention turned to Iruka, who to her shock just looked confused, "Uzu...maki clan?" he asked himself under his breath, then he walked towards his desk, pulled out a book and opened it flipping through it,
Ino watched as he reached the end, shook his head, and flipped back through the book again,
And again,
And yet again he repeated the action,
'Even Iruka didn't know?' Ino thought, the blonde turned to Sakura, "Hey," she said, drawing attention to herself as she'd spoken the loudest after what had just been revealed, "Sakura listen I hate to say this but," she pressed her hands together almost pleadingly, "I kind of have plans later tonight,"
Sakura nodded, "Yeah okay, we'll do that thing later then,"
When Sakura stood up Ino hugged her, "Thanks, you're the best,"
And with that the class filed out,
SCENE CHANGE-Ino, Homura, Katsuragi, Azula, Asuka, Mizore and Setsuka gather-SCENE CHANGE
"So, am I correct in hearing that our favorite man is apparently born from a clan?" Azula asked, having missed classes today intentionally,
"You'd know if you were there princess," Homura stated,
"Not my fault the school bores me so, besides I was away on business," she said with a smirk,
"She means we were setting up something for our least favorite stalker," Mizore said as she sat in a tree watching something far away with her binoculars,
"You two have to stop sneaking off to mess with Hinata," Asuka stated, "If it gets back to us-"
"It won't we were very discrete," Azula stated as she checked her nails,
"Girls can we focus for once?" Setsuka asked crossing her arms, "Naruto-san has fallen unconscious,"
"Is there even anything we can do about it?" Azula asked, "He's out, he's got his mute nanny super soldier watching him and a doctor who raised him when he was a kid ready to take care of him in case something bad happens, what are we going to add?"
"Though I loathe to admit it, she has a point," Setsuka stated, "We are not medically trained,"
"And we can't help much, cept for maybe Ino," Homura mused,
"Actually... I'm not so sure about that," Ino said, "My dad made me promise never to try entering Naruto's mind,"
"Really?" Katsuragi asked with a smirk, "What made you back off?"
"That I might see him jerking off to another girl," Ino said with a sigh, "also he said something about it being technically molestation and I could be prosecuted,"
"Pretty down, eh?" Katsuragi smirked as she approached the dour blonde and started to rub her shoulders, "Maybe this'll-," But her hands fell through them and the Ino in front of her faded out of existence,
"Nice try Katsuragi," Ino said as she dropped off a nearby roof, "But I'm getting better at dodging you," she took a breath, "Alright everyone let's try to figure out what this Uzumaki clan is about,"
The girls around their leader and nodded at her words,
"Very well, then we must part quickly," Setsuka stated before vanishing,
"I have things to do so I'd best go," Azula said dismissively before she wandered off,
"Time to go, eh?" Katsuragi moped before opening her arms wide, "How about a quick smooch before we leave?"
"I'd best go help my grandma with dinner then, Later guys," Asuka said before she leapt off, as she did the eyes that followed her that at some point Mizore had vanished from her tree,
Homura rolled her eyes and grabbed her shirt, "C'mon I need a sparring partner,"
Katsuragi grinned, "Okay but you know my price,"
Homura blushed, "Pervert,"
As Naruto's Fangirls left Ino frowned slightly, "hmm, Uzumaki... wonder if my father would know anything?" she asked before she turned on her heel and started walking back toward her home,
SCENE CHANGE-At Naruto's apartment-SCENE CHANGE
Naruto tossed and turned under the watchful eye of the heavily armored Bat Anbu member, as he slept not quite so peacefully,
As night turned to dust, dusk to dawn, and finally dawn today Naruto finally rose from his slumber,
"Hmm?" he asked groggily, "What happened?"
The bat masked woman held up a notebook written inside was 'You passed out in class yesterday Uzumaki-sama,' she lowered it,
"I... did?" Naruto asked pushing himself out of bed, he rubbed his head, "I don't remember," he said shaking his head with a groan,
He slid out of bed and noticed he was in his pj's, "Did you... undress me?" he asked,
The bat masked Anbu nodded,
"Y-you can't do that I'm a guy and you're a woman,"
The Bat masked woman looked down at him, she tilted her head, then she scribbled a note on her notepad then she showed it to him 'But... I did... am I the first woman to strip a male?' after he read it, she flipped to the next page, 'is it not supposed to be possible for a female to undress a male?'
Naruto rubbed his head, sometimes he wondered why Bat was the way she was, he'd seen her easily fight through scores of people trying to hurt him as easily as most people walked through air but basic topics she just didn't understand,
"I... look, You're only supposed to..." Naruto stopped, quickly realizing that no matter how he explained this to her she likely wouldn't understand him, 'you're only supposed to see people you love naked,' and then she'd write 'But I do love you, do you not love me?' or 'Should I show the people I love my naked body then?'
"Never mind, thanks Bat," he said,
She wrote on her pad 'Happy to assist you, I like your hair,'
Naruto shook his head and left the room, he walked into his bathroom and pulled off his sleeping cap, for some reason it felt way tighter than usual, he grabbed his toothbrush and put some toothpaste on it, he looked up into the mirror seeing a haze of red behind him, "Hmm?" as his eyes went wide he noticed the red shifting around like it was alive,
He mumbled "What the Fuck?" around his toothbrush as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes and drew closer to the mirror,
But his hands never reached his eyes, the strange alive red thing did first, and it also lifted him higher to look into the mirror,
When Leopard heard Naruto scream, she drew a knife and ran into the room, looked around and found Naruto cocooned by his now red hair,
"B-Bat help what is this stuff?" he asked, some of his hair reached for her wrapping around her, and pulling her towards him,
She put away her knife calmly and drew him a picture,
She turned it around showing Naruto a cutesy sketch of an adorable fox with bright red hair that reached out to hug a scarred bat,
"I'm hugging you?" he asked still panicked, "But this is... that is, my hair is yellow!"
She opened her notebook to a certain page, showing him... himself as he slept, which was a little weird, more so since she'd actually taken the effort to draw him as himself rather than the fox, she usually drew him as,
She flipped through the pages showing him tossing and turning as he slept and slowly his hair started growing out and turning red until it encompassed the entire bed he was on, then she closed her book,
"I..." he looked at the bat masked woman who stared down at him, "This..." he looked at the red hair surrounding him, "It's... mine?" he asked,
Bat nodded, and slowly the hair started to release Naruto,
"I... I... changed?" he asked, "While I slept?"
Picking up on Naruto's tone that what had happened to him was in fact not normal, Bat hoisted him onto her shoulder, and then smashed through his wall as she stomped through the hidden leaf running the most direct route towards Konoha hospital,
At this point Naruto wondered why they rebuilt anything as she again smashed through the railing outside his apartment, dropped onto an already cracked ground, and ran through stalls, buildings and people to get him to Konoha General Hospital as fast and as safely as she could,
As she ran into the building, she took him directly into the office of one of the doctors, who herself was eating her breakfast as the bat masked Anbu set a now long red-haired troublemaker down in front of her and started gesturing to her about him,
Rin Nohara sighed, dropped her spoon and shoved a thermometer into Naruto's mouth, "Hmm..." her eye glasses (That she only wore to make herself look smarter) slid down her nose as she put a blood pressure machine on Naruto's arm, "Are you in pain?" she asked as it started to inflate with air,
"Mo," Naruto said around the thermometer before it was quickly pulled from his mouth, studied, and then discarded onto the doctor's desk,
"What's with th-" Rin was stopped as Naruto's hair sprung to life and slid underneath the heart monitor, and then ripped it off,
Rin looked at her broken heart monitor and slowly removed her glasses, "Naruto... that... wasn't you, was it?"
"I... don't know," he answered honestly,
Rin left her fake glasses on the desk and reached into her pocket and pulled out a kunai, slowly she brought it closer to Naruto's hair,
Quicker than she could see the red locks wrapped around her entire arm up to her shoulder, not tightly, but she felt them,
Bat leapt up,
"Stay back," Rin said stopping the Anbu's charge, and just in time too considering how the strands had slowly started to bend her arm,
"R-Ree-chan!" Naruto cried in shock,
The Doctor smiled gently though, "That old nickname?" she asked, "You haven't called me Ree-chan since you were five back when I used to let you hang out in my office," she giggled, 'Shame Lord Third said I couldn't adopt him, maybe he'd still call me that,'
As Rin smiled the hair around her arm got looser, 'Yep just as I thought, it's based around what he thinks is an attack,' she thought, 'So long as he doesn't feel threatened, the hair should get looser and looser until it lets me go,' her eyes cast to the broken blood pressure machine, 'Must've squeezed him too tightly and made him think he was in danger,'
Then Rin look at Bat, 'The vibrations from Bat's steps may have been loud enough that made him feel threatened,'
"Look buddy I'm okay, your hair's only grabbing me because it thinks I'm a threat," she turned back to the anbu, "Catch," and with a flick of her wrist the knife shot towards Bat, which the silent woman caught between two of her fingers,
After Naruto's hair released Rin Bat walked over and handed Rin her Kunai, Rin put it away and sighed, "Thanks Bat," she said putting her fake glasses back on her face, "Naruto you're fine, this is just something that happens to the Uzumaki, you're very lucky this is what you got, the silver chains are much harder to deal with,"
"Silver chains?" Naruto asked, "What are-" Naruto groaned as his head started hurting,
"Don't worry Naruto," Rin said patting his head, "you'll be alright," she turned to Bat, "you might need to help him a little more, but he'll be fine, bring him to my apartment if you need any more help,"
Bat nodded and took Naruto back home so she could attempt to make him breakfast,
Rin sighed after she left, and then grabbed her nameplate, 'Rin Nohara, MD' and easily tossed it in the bin, she finished her own breakfast and then she called her boss, as soon as she answered she spoke a single sentence before she put the phone down, "I quit," then she grabbed a bag that was under her desk and left the room,
When she got home there were many messages on her answering machine, but she ignored it, plopped down on the sofa and let out a breath, "Won't be long now," her eyes went to the ceiling, "wait a little longer, Aunty,"
SCENE CHANGE-Root's H.Q.-SCENE CHANGE
Far underneath Konoha in a secret room laid a red-haired woman, surrounded by pink transparent chains that were in constant motion, "Help me," echoed inside the room from everywhere,
Briefly for a moment the chains stopped moving, then they slowly started vanishing except for one,
