DBZ Black Moon/The MOIRAI Saga This story is a passion project that is basically my headcanon-a headcanon that goes back to my childhood for the majority of its concepts.
So what is BLACK MOON? Here's an idea of the premise:
A more serious/earnest take on DBZ that focuses more on characters' emotional depth, development, and relationships to others and the world around them–beyond the realms of lighthearted comedy/goofery and battles/action
What if Gohan went to public school earlier and got the chance to grow into his own?
A cast of both canon and original characters, with expanded world-building and lore that mashes the canonical Dragon World with elements derived/inspired by our world/reality
A story that explores the bonds of family–both blood and found/chosen
Explore the depths of Gohan's character with my own little twist, and go beyond the loveably carefree nerd he's portrayed in the canon story
What if a Saiyan/human girl had been on Earth all this time–and what would happen when she and Gohan stumble into each others' lives?
A slow-burn Gohan x OC love story that dives into platonic love as much as romantic love, emotional intimacy, healing, growth and self-discovery (ship dynamic: vicious grumpy x soft cinnamon roll; "touch him/her, you die")
A sprinkling of head-canon ideas, concepts, and some "fix it" tinkering of the original canon material
