It was a beautiful spring afternoon despite it being winter, of course, Two years had passed since Anya last saw Calvin, and things had been sweet for her. Since his departure, Anya has been writing to Calvin frequently.

"Dear Calvin, I hope you've been doing well, my love, and can't you believe that I turn eighteen next month? Crazy right? But I hope you are safe. I'll write to you again once I get your letter, Love, Anya." Anya (now 17 years old) wrote on a piece of paper before smiling at her letter, kissing it gently, and placing it in an envelope so she could put it in the mailbox once school was over.

Anya continued to sit in silence for a few more moments until this was interrupted by Charlotte and Nancy, and this made the girl smile.

"Good Afternoon, Anya. Do you have nurse training today? I was thinking we should hang out after school?" Charlotte (now 17 years old and wearing pigtail loop braids) offered her friend with a kind smile on her face while waiting for a response.

"Hey Charlotte and I'm afraid I do, but I'm available this weekend, how does that sound?" Anya responded to her friend while Charlotte nodded understandably.

"Wonderful! I'll save our hangout for the weekend, and how's nursing training been?" Charlotte responded to her friend while sitting next to her as she waited for her answer.

"It's been great. It's stressful but I feel like I'm learning something new each day." Anya responded with a smile while this pleased Charlotte.

During this, Nancy sat down next to Anya as she began to speak.

"I'm glad to hear as well, and it's always good to prepare in an early fashion, especially since we're graduating next month.." Nancy (now 17 years old) chimed into the conversation while Anya chuckled at this.

"You've got a point there, and that's why I've been taking nursing lessons since last year, and they've been quite helpful." Anya responded to Nancy with a smile as the trio continued to sit together on the bench.

This moment would be interrupted by familiar faces, and those were their friends.

"Heyy! How's it going? How's everyone's day been going?" Russell (now 17 years old) greeted his friends in a joyful voice while Carrie waved at them with smiles on their faces.

This caught the girl's attention as Anya was the first one to greet them.

"It's going well, my friend. I was finishing writing my letter to my boyfriend then I was talking to Charlotte and Nancy, you?" Anya greeted Russell while giving him a handshake before giving one to Carrie as well.

"Oh, I was having lunch with my beautiful girlfriend, and I'd say hello to my three wonderful friends." Russell responded with a smile while waving at Charlotte and Nancy, and the two girls waved back.

"Good Afternoon, Russell. It's good to see you, and I'm glad things are still going well between you and Carrie." Nancy greeted her friend back while Charlotte nodded in agreement.

"Same here, I wish nothing but the best for you two." Charlotte chimed into the conversation while Russell and Carrie smiled at this.

"Thank you, can't you believe me and Russie have been together for nearly two years, it's quite beautiful." Carrie (now 17 years old) responded with a smile while she and everyone else nodded in agreement.

Anya watched the convocation with a smile as she continued to think about the last two years.

"Things have been sweet for me and my friends. Charlotte's been getting into photography and Anne has been helping her while Nancy is pursuing an educational career, and I've been rooting for my friends ever since." Anya thought to herself with a smile before getting up from the bench.

"Do you guys want to walk the track for a bit? We can still talk if you guys want?" Anya asked her for friends in a curious voice while Charlotte and the others nodded in confirmation.

"Sure, we could use the exercise, how about you guys?" Nancy responded to Anya while also asking for the input of her friends.

After this, Charlotte nodded in agreement while Russell and Carrie kindly rejected the offer.

"No thanks, me and Carrie have to study for a test that's later this week, and we only came here to check up on everyone but I hope y'all have fun." Russell kindly rejected it while everyone else nodded understandably.

"It's okay, and I wish the both of you the best of luck on the test." Anya responded once more to her friend while seeing Russell and Carrie getting ready to depart.

"See ya, my good friends. I hope we can hang out longer but it seems school always gets in the way I hope everyone has a good day." Carrie spoke to her friends with a smile while Anya and the others waved her goodbyes.

"Thank you, and I guess we'll be seeing you guys, have a wonderful day!" Russell spoke to his friends for the final time before turning around along with Carrie to walk toward the library.

Anya and her friends smiled at the couple walking away before eventually making their way toward the track and they began to walk it.

"I've heard Judith turned eighteen three days ago. Did she have any plans for her career, Anya?" Charlotte asked her friend curiously while she walked the track, waiting for an answer from Anya.

"She did, and Judith told me that she might go into business or the stock market, but I'm not too sure." Anya responded while Charlotte nodded understandably.

"Wonderful, and I had a feeling Judith would choose something like that, but I'm glad she's happy at the least." Charlotte responded once more while Anya nodded.

"I agree and.." Anya attempted to speak out to her friend; however, her words were interrupted by the sounds of a camera flashing, and it was none other than Anne.

This moment caught Anya and her friend's attention as they turned around to face Anne.

"Heyy! How's everyone doing? Sorry for the photo, I'm doing a project to capture the everyday life of the Highland students." Anne (now 17 years old) spoke to her friends with a smile while waving at them which made Anya and the others wave back.

"Hello, Anne. we're doing good, and How's the project coming along?" Nancy greeted Anne in response while Anya and Charlotte waved back.

"It's great seeing you as well, and I did recall you telling us about a project a few weeks ago." Anya greeted Anne as well while Anne smiled back as she began to speak.

"I did? I must have forgotten but I'm glad that I was able to get a photo of you three, and this will definitely look good for my project." Anne responded while sitting down on one of the small bleachers.

"So, Anya, how's your boyfriend been? Tell me everything I need to know." Anne spoke to Anya with a smile while the question made Anya smile with a slight blush as she began to answer the question.

"Calvin has been doing good. We've been talking through letters, and that's been going great as well." Anya responded, still blushing while this brought a smile to Anne's face.

"I'm glad to hear that, and how's Nurse training been coming along? I hope that's going well." Anne curiously asked Anya once more in a calm yet happy voice while Anya began to answer the question.

"That's also been going good as well, thanks for asking." Anya responded once more with a warm smile.

After hearing this, Anne smiled while getting up from the bleacher since she was ready to depart from the track and field.

"That's Wonderful, and I should be going as well since I have more photos to take but it was nice chatting with you guys, See ya." Anne spoke to Anya and the others for the final time before waving goodbye as she took off.

"Goodbye Anne, we wish you the best of luck on your project." Anya responded while she and her friends waved goodbye back. After this, Anya and her friends resumed walking the track.

"I guess you can say things are going well, Calvin. I'm aiming to be a nurse while my friends are seeking careers of their own and that makes me happy more than anything, so I'll be waiting for you, my love." Anya thought to herself while thinking about her future as she continued to walk the track with her friends.
