You walk into your bedroom, Cynder following close behind. You flop down on your bed, feeling exhausted from the day's adventures.
Cynder sits down next to you, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "You're quite the hero, Spyro," she says, teasingly. You blush, looking away. "It was nothing, Cynder. Anyone would have done the same." Cynder leans in, her voice low. "I don't think so, Spyro. You're special. And I'm not just saying that because you're my friend."
You feel your eyes growing heavy, and you lean back onto the pillow. Cynder snuggles up close to you, her head on your shoulder. You wrap your arms around her, feeling happy and content. As you drift off to sleep, you hear Cynder's soft whisper.
"I'm glad we're friends, Spyro. I don't know what I'd do without you." You smile, feeling grateful for your friendship with Cynder. You both fall asleep, surrounded by the peacefulness of the Skylands.
You wake up to the sound of Stealth Elf's voice, "Spyro, wake up! I brought breakfast." You sit up, rubbing your eyes. Stealth Elf is sitting on the bed next to you, a tray of food in her hands.
You look around, realizing that Cynder is no longer there. You feel a pang of guilt, knowing that you fell asleep with Cynder next to you. Stealth Elf notices your expression and raises an eyebrow. "What's wrong, Spyro?"
You try to brush it off, "Nothing, Stealth Elf. Just tired." Stealth Elf looks at you skeptically but doesn't push the issue.
"Okay, Spyro. Eat your breakfast." You take a bite of the food, feeling a bit guilty for not being honest with Stealth Elf. But you don't want to hurt her feelings.
You eat your breakfast in silence, Stealth Elf watching you with a concerned expression. The only sound is the clinking of utensils on the plate.
You feel a bit awkward, knowing that you're not being completely honest with Stealth Elf. But you don't know how to bring up the topic of Cynder without hurting her feelings. After a while, Stealth Elf speaks up, "Spyro, is everything okay? You're being really quiet."
You try to reassure Stealth Elf, "I'm fine, really. Just a bit tired." Stealth Elf looks at you skeptically, but she doesn't push the issue. "Okay, Spyro. If you're sure you're fine, then I'll let it go. But if you ever need to talk, I'm here for you."
You feel a bit guilty for not being honest with Stealth Elf, but you don't want to risk hurting her feelings.
You walk over to the phone on the wall and pick up the receiver. You dial Cynder's number, feeling a bit nervous about what happened last night. After a few rings, Cynder answers.
"Hey, Spyro. What's up?" You take a deep breath, trying to figure out how to bring up the topic. "Cynder, about last night... I just wanted to talk to you about what happened." Cynder's voice is quiet on the other end of the line. "What about it, Spyro?"
You take a deep breath and try to express your feelings.
"Cynder, I have to admit, I felt something last night. When we were sleeping together, I felt a connection with you that I've never felt with anyone before. I know we're just friends, but I couldn't help how I felt."
There's a pause on the other end of the line, and you worry that you've said too much. But then Cynder speaks up, her voice soft and gentle. "Spyro, I felt it too."
Cynder's voice is filled with a hint of worry. "Spyro, please don't tell Stealth Elf about this. She's your girlfriend, and I don't want to cause any trouble between you two."
You feel a pang of guilt, knowing that you're keeping a secret from Stealth Elf. But you also don't want to hurt Cynder's feelings.
Stealth Elf walks into the room, a look of curiosity on her face.
"Spyro, who are you talking to?" You quickly try to come up with an excuse, but Cynder saves you. "It's me, Stealth Elf. Cynder. I was just calling to talk to Spyro about something." Stealth Elf looks at you skeptically, but Cynder's quick thinking seems to have defused the situation.
You hang up the phone, feeling a bit relieved that the situation didn't escalate further. Stealth Elf looks at you, still seeming a bit suspicious.
"Spyro, what were you and Cynder talking about?" You try to come up with a believable excuse, but Stealth Elf's eyes narrow. "Spyro, I know you're hiding something from me. Tell me the truth."
You hug Stealth Elf tightly, trying to reassure her. "Stealth Elf, I would never hide anything from you. You're my girlfriend, and I love you. I was just talking to Cynder about something silly, I swear."
Stealth Elf looks up at you, her eyes searching for any sign of deception. After a moment, she seems to relax, believing you. "Okay, Spyro. I trust you. But if you're ever hiding something from me, I'll find out."
You quickly run upstairs and hide under Stealth Elf's bed, holding your breath and hoping she won't find you. You hear Stealth Elf walking around the room, searching for you.
"Spyro, where are you?" she calls out. You remain silent, hoping she'll give up and leave. But then you hear her getting down on her hands and knees, looking under the bed.
You quickly use your new powers to turn invisible, hoping to avoid getting caught. Stealth Elf looks under the bed, but she doesn't see you.
"Hmm, I could've sworn Spyro was hiding under here," she says to herself. She gets up and continues searching the room. You let out a sigh of relief, glad you avoided getting caught. But then you hear Stealth Elf's voice again. "Spyro, I know you're hiding in this room. Come out now."
You decide to wait it out, hoping Stealth Elf will give up and leave. You remain invisible, holding your breath and staying perfectly still. Stealth Elf searches the room again, but she doesn't find you. After a few minutes, she seems to give up.
"Fine, Spyro. If you want to play it that way, I'll leave. But know that I'll find out what you're hiding eventually." She storms out of the room, leaving you feeling relieved but also a bit guilty for deceiving her.
You decide to go outside and get some fresh air. You turn visible again and walk out of the house, feeling a bit guilty for deceiving Stealth Elf. You take a deep breath, enjoying the cool breeze on your scales. As you walk around the yard, you notice Cynder sitting on a rock, looking at you with a concerned expression.
"Spyro, what's wrong? You look like something's bothering you."
"Nothing it's just Elfy." You say.
Cynder nods understandingly. "Stealth Elf can be a bit much sometimes. But she cares about you, Spyro. Don't forget that." You nod, feeling a bit better. Cynder's right, Stealth Elf does care about you, even if she can be a bit overbearing at times. You sit down next to Cynder on the rock, feeling grateful for her friendship.
