Toriko: Namu's Buffet

Chapter 27: "Enter: Ice Mountain"

"This is it!" Toriko yelled in excitement, "Ice Mountain!"

"Strange. I thought it'd be bigger." Namu said, in an effort to lighten the mood after the long, stressful journey.

"Quoting an ex-girlfriend, are we?" Match replied.

"You wanna die, Scarface?!" Namu shouted.

Suddenly, Namu and Match both felt a deep pain in their stomachs, causing them to hold their guts. They both looked up to see Tsubaki with both her hands clenched into fists, her patience at its limit.

"Next time, I'm gonna go even lower!" She shouted, the veins in her forehead bulging in anger.

"Anyway, I'm glad we finally made it!" Tsubaki said in a gleeful manner, as Namu and Match looked at each other in confusion, surprised by her sudden mood shift.

Elsewhere…

The retching noises Tommyrod made as he vomited out his bugs left Sarco with the temptation to start gagging.

"Must you keep those vile creatures in your body, Tommy? Why not use cages?"

"Because I don't want to." Tommyrod replied.

Suddenly, the other Bishokukai members rose from the ice. They began talking to Tommyrod about something, but Sarco didn't care enough about his colleagues' opinions to listen. Instead, Sarco thought of the Century Soup. What it must taste like. How easy it will be to slaughter the Bishokuya hunting. How pleased Midora would be with him.

Sarco grinned as he and his allies began walking towards Ice Mountain.

Back at Ice Mountain…

"Wow! It's so pretty here!" Tsubaki said, forgetting to use her inside voice in excitement.

"Yeah. But I bet seeing the Century Soup in a bowl in front of ya's gonna be even more beautiful." Namu replied with a warm smile.

"Life's not just about food, you know." Tsubaki said, "There's other things too. Like adventure, family, friendship. Even love!"

"Love?" Namu thought,as his cheeks began to turn red, "Why's she bringin' somethin' like that up now?"

Suddenly, Namu felt an odd feeling. A feeling he hadn't felt in a long time. The feeling, the need to prove himself to be better than someone else. A feeling that only one person in the world could make him feel.

"Teppei." he thought.

End of Chapter

AUTHOR'S NOTE: WOW! How long has it been? 5 months?! I'm SO Sorry about that, y'all. The thing is, I'll get obsessed with a series for a few weeks, then switch to something else. Rinse, repeat. That's why I take these long breaks, I get obsessed with Toriko for a while, eventually lose interest, time passes, I get back into it. Sorry if I never explained that before.

That's not the only reason. I've been pretty busy these past few months. Plus my brother broke the computer that had all the old Namu's Buffet docs on it. I'm not mad. Yes, I am.

Also, I think it'd be a good idea to set a goal for when I'm on a Toriko kick. The goal this time is to finish the Century Soup arc before the next hiatus.

One last thing, let me know if you guys wanna see a Fairy Tail fic with my OC, Kubo Edgeworth (the guy I named this account after). I've been wanting to do that for a while. If yes, I'll probably do the FT fic in between Namu's Buffet. Also, Fairy Tail's my favorite anime, so I'd probably be more consistent with that fic, honestly.

Until next time.

JA NE!
