The city that laid before them was breathless, scandalously quiet in the face of what it had once been. Not a soul could be seen amongst the abandoned buildings and cloudy horizon. There was only them as far as they knew: them and the vessel they'd arrived in. It wasn't an ideal place to settle, nor had it been chosen. At least… not by one of them.

One of them had most definitely chosen this, unbeknownst to the other. And he preferred it to stay that way for as long as possible. But why? Well… that was for him to know and the other to find out.

What could be done in such a place? It was up to them to figure it out now.

"Um… H-Hello? Uh… This is Vash, designated pioneer for this daring expedition on a new planet! Today, Nai and I set off to–"

"What are you doing?"

"Huh? Oh, I'm making a vlog! To record our journey! Rem used to do these all the time, remember?"

"Do we really need to?"

"Of course! How else will people learn about our progress?"

"Who's keeping track other than us?"

"Well, y'know… people! What if some adventurers find this place hundreds of years from now? Or other ships crash here? This could be crucial info!"
"Uh huh…"

"And there's Luida. And the other scientists who made it. They might want to see it!"

"We can just tell them ourselves. They're not going anywhere."

Vash's shoulders sank a bit. This clearly wasn't selling his brother on the idea.

"Are we going or not?" Nai asked off camera.

Vash sighed and hung his head before picking up the screen along with a bag that he slung over his shoulder. "Fine, fine! But I'm taking it with me!" He gave a smile and peace sign to the camera. "Bye for now! We'll see you on the flip side!"

The recording stopped as the twins walked to the exit of the ship, venturing out into the foreign landscape for the first time.
