Backstory:

Several years after the death of Hamato Yoshi A.K.A Splinter and Oroku Saki A.K.A Shredder, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles continued to be the protectors of New York city serving as protectors from the shadows, eventually each turtle and their human allies built lives of their own, several even married and had children, Donatello, the genius of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles FINALLY got together with his longtime crush, April O'Neal, the two went on several dates before marrying and has a child who is half mutant, half human boy, they named him Kai, he was born completely healthy but with one slight problem…he was born blind which was a constant struggle from his infancy to his double digit years but by then, he unlocked something that would aid him and his half-siblings, his latened psychic abilities passed onto him from his mother, he was then trained by both his mother and father on how to harness these powerful Psychokinetic abilities, eventually he developed a way to "see" the world without having to use his eyes but instead learned how to see the aura and brain waves of individual people enabling him to maneuver throughout the world even better than people with working eyes, eventually he progressed at an outstanding rate with the kind of mental focus that his grandfather Splinter had, combined with his ninja training and psychokinetic abilities, Kai is potentially the strongest out of the mutant teenage team just by his sheer psychic prowess alone

Inspiration for this character:

Okay, first off I NEVER would have thought of this pairing had I not watched the 2012 series of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but after I saw that Donatello had fallen head over heels in love with April O'Neal from the FIRST moment he saw her, I thought…probably not gonna happen, but as the series progressed and watching the interactions between the two of em, I thought to myself, you know…I'm actually kind of swinging that way, now a days I ship it, Donny is super goofy but his feelings are genuine towards her, while she doesn't return these feelings and to my knowledge I don't think they become a couple in the series before it ended, it they DID…I'd probably imagine someone like Kai Yoshi, their son in an alternate timeline who is half human half mutant but with April's psychic abilities, however I thought of something that could make him stand out, so I thought a blind, psychic man would prove to be a good match up, I mean badass fighters like Daredevil from Marvel comics, Master swoop from Power Rangers Jungle Fury, Kenshi from Mortal Kombat and that snake guardian from Teen Titan's were all blind but they are BADASSES, so I thought why not use that formula here, a half human half mutant hybrid who was born blind but thanks to his psychic powers he's able to go through life normally and is possibly the strongest among the grandchildren of Hamato Yoshi.
