The Planet Earth. Also known as Mobius as its alternate name. Home to a massive array of life that has no limits. The Humans and Mobians that live on this world are as plentiful as the stars in the cosmic skies. And here, a new tale is about to begin.
Green Hill Zone.
Known as a Natural Paradise on a large island on the planet Mobius, Green Hill is known for its beautiful flora and fauna, its wide, open fields and distinctive mountains that can be seen from almost every point in the area. It varies from having a plateau-like terrain, with short mountains; to being a mountainous area with massive mountains, sloping cliffs, giant peaks, and tight paths high up in the sky supported by natural pillars. Either way, the location is filled with large waterfall vistas, palm trees, and tropical flora of various types.
Truly a wonderful place.
It was a lovely day at this time, the birds were chirping and the sun was bright and shining. It was a beautiful day to be out in the open and enjoying the nice, cool, fresh air. It was a great place to be out and about.
However, there was something in the distance, moving at the speed of sound. It was a blur of blue, rushing past the landscape, leaving dust in the air as this blur raced through the plains and the tropical flora of the area.
The nearby rabbits and squirrels felt the great breeze of wind from the blur, and they were just a tiny bit frightened by the blur, but they could also tell that there was nothing to be worried about. The one behind it was someone who was as free as he can be.
His name is Sonic the Hedgehog. The Fastest Hedgehog in the world, the fastest thing alive.
He zoomed across Green Hill Zone, taking in the sights for himself. He was the fastest being on the planet and it was a blast to run around, to enjoy the open world.
"So this is Green Hill Zone." Sonic spoke, coming to a screeching halt. "Looks nice. All the way out in South Island." He smiled, looking at the wonderful sights that the area had to offer. "Maybe I should've brought a few snacks." He chuckled.
This was his first time being here. He had been living on his own since his childhood, living in a tiny forest with a single tree and a lake, and he was always alone, but he had always been happy with his life, he had everything he needed. And that was the freedom to explore the world and do what he wanted.
"I love places like this. And judging by what I can see all the way over there..." He put his hand over his eyes, gazing into the distance. Barely, he could see what seemed to be a city, and a very large one, at that. "Seems like the perfect place to go and have some fun." He grinned. "Maybe they've got something good to eat too. Looks like a long way there...well, for anyone else at least." He chuckled. "Good thing I'm so fast."
He then started running at his high-speed again, and rushed across the plains of Green Hill. He ran down the hill, and as soon as he was at the bottom, he jumped onto a large tree, and used it as a launching pad to get onto the top of a large cliff.
Sonic took a deep breath and sighed, as he was finally able to look at the entire island, and the massive city that was on the other side.
"The city of Soleanna..." He said, with a grin. "Now, let's get this party started!" He shouted, and he rushed off, jumping off of the mountain and running along the side of the mountain, and he began to head towards the massive city in the distance, running along a path that was made for him, it was like he was meant to run along this path.
City of Soleanna. 11:00 AM
The city of Soleanna was known as the "City of Water", and was a beautiful and truly magnificent sight to behold, with many buildings, fountains, waterways and stone roads.
And currently, visiting this city was another hedgehog. But this was not Sonic. She had a pink body with a build that was quite voluptuous and feminine, her breasts were rather large, and her hips and rear end was wide and curvy, with a small waist. Everything about her was a nice shade of pink, and she wore a short red dress with a white trim, along with some red boots with a white stripe and a yellow crescent on them, a red hairband, and white gloves. She was what one would call a natural beauty.
She was walking through the streets of Soleanna, looking at the various shops and restaurants, seeing if there was anything that she might be interested in getting. For her, this was also the first time she's been to this grand city, and she was taking it all in.
"Wow...What a place. I've never seen so many people before!" Amy Rose exclaimed as she walked through the streets of Soleanna. "I don't think I've ever been somewhere with such a bustling city before! There are so many places to go!"
There were so many options to choose from when it came to entertainment, shopping and food, and she was excited to spend her money on something. Maybe she'd try that fancy restaurant, or go shopping for new clothes...or maybe she'll go see the latest movie at the local cinema?
"There are so many things to do, but where do I start?" Amy thought, as she walked through the street. She eventually saw a small store that sold flowers, a flower shop. That would definitely be her first spot. Amy walked up to the front door, opened it, walked inside, and then bought some flowers, picking them for their lovely color and their lovely scent. It was also to commemorate the time of peace that this city and really, many other places have.
"Afternoon, afternoon." The owner of the flower store said with a bow. "First time here?" The store owner asked.
"Oh yes! This is actually my first visit in the city. What's the occasion?" She smiled at the man and he responded kindly.
"My wife's birthday." He replied.
"Well, it looks like it's going very well! Your wife must be so proud." She smiled, as she looked at the man.
"She sure is, it's our 25th birthday," The man smiled. "And for this, I went for a special sale. In preparation for this, I found some of the rarest flowers out there, and got them imported here, all the way in my home of the Kingdom of Soleanna." The old man said with a smile, showing the flowers.
"Woah, that's great. But, why Soleanna?" Amy Rose asked. "It doesn't sound like it's near to other continents. Isn't it on the opposite side of the world, in terms of where everything else is?" The flower store owner chuckled and nodded.
"Yes, it is very much the case, but I assure you..." The old man showed off the options. "You could call these Magical Flowers. They all do something special. This flower right here can change one's clothing colors, if held up to a particular outfit." He pointed to one flower, a purple, yellow and black flower that was quite beautiful. "And then there's this one, this flower is a healing plant." He said, pointing to one of the blue and orange ones that was glowing. "And then there's a third, which can restore someone's lost memories if needed." He stated, showing off the yellow flower that was surrounded by other flowers that glowed.
"So, these flowers have a lot of powers. That's amazing. Can I buy some, please?" Amy Rose asked. The owner smiled warmly and nodded his head, and she was definitely pleased.
After buying some flowers, Amy was walking through the streets, still taking in the scenery of the place. The place felt so tranquil, like a wonderful dream that one wishes to stay in forever. But there was another reason today was special, not just for the man and his wife. On this day, two princesses were about to meet.
Music would play through the city's main square, a nice and beautiful piano melody. Soon, the crowds started to form around, wanting to listen in. Fanfare and confetti would be blasted all throughout the city streets as Amy walked along the road and came upon this area. "Oh, that's beautiful...But what's going on?" Amy asked herself.
Then a massive parade was held as the streets were filled up with the crowds. Music would ring through as the people cheered. It was an enormous parade, the biggest the city has had yet. "Amazing! And so grand!" Amy exclaimed as the princess would make her appearance, and her royal entourage and carriage would follow after, with the crowds cheering and screaming and clapping.
"Wow, a real-life princess...!" Amy thought, her heart beating faster in anticipation of meeting a princess. A moment passed by. Suddenly the carriage stopped. The royal procession had paused its parade.
"Wait, is there something going on here?" She asked.
A young woman would be escorted out of a large, golden carriage that she had been riding in, to look out on the parade that was in her honor. She was about to address the crowd that had formed in order to celebrate the special occasion.
She had a beautiful pale skin that resembled nougat. Her hair was a beautiful brown, rather short and well-kept.
But her physique would draw anyone's eyes. She was tall and slender, and her long, shapely legs that ran down to a well-formed chest, which were nicely modet yet very attractive, but what was also eye-catching were her hips. Her figure was perfect. Her waist was slim but well-defined.
Her name is Princess Elise.
She would step forward to the crowd, and address the city of her kingdom.
"Good citizens of Soleanna...May you ever walk in the light." The beautiful princess of Soleanna spoke, and with a kind, caring and compassionate voice as well. She would bow respectfully. "Thank you very much for the warm hospitality that you have given my royal procession today on this occasion." Her voice was elegant, regal, soft spoken, and lovely to hear. "Today, we will be meeting a fellow princess. All the way from the Acorn Kingdom. My royal friend has decided to visit our kingdom for an extended stay, to help bolster our bonds." Elise said.
The citizens of Soleanna began to clap and cheer, as she continued on.
"The Acorn Kingdom has helped us in numerous ways for centuries. From assisting us in war, providing us with medical supplies in times of sickness, and helping us grow as people." The citizens of the beautiful kingdom clapped and applauded once more. Elise continued to address her citizens.
"Thanks to the Acorn Kingdom and their assistance, our economy is strong." More cheers and applause, the crowds growing excited, while a pink female was still taking it in.
"It is the Acorns that have made us who we are, the Kingdom of Soleanna. My people, it is an honor that I have to meet another Princess in person...My name is Princess Elise, and today...I shall welcome a fellow royal to our city. Please welcome, Princess Sally Acorn!"
"Another princess!? Here!?" Amy would gasp as everyone would turn to where a giant royal motorcade would pull in.
In another location, within the same kingdom...
There were some robots, red colored, metallic, but definitely advanced, with weapons. There would be an entire army of these robotic machines, being built and created. They had a metallic, streamlined shape to their frame, making them a bit sleek and advanced in design.
"Ho Ho! Doctor...They are ready." Said one of the men, working in the robot's production area.
"Excellent..." An evil voice would boom. It would come from behind a glass door. The figure inside of it, watching all the activity within the area. He was grinning evilly, thinking that everything was going smoothly in the assembly of these machines. The voice came from none other than Doctor Ivo Robotnik.
"And they can't even see me from up here." The scientist snickered, continuing his surveillance. He watched them closely, as they worked to perfect the army. "We are nearly ready for the first assault! By tomorrow at this point in the day...Soleanna will be a conquered city! Ho-hohoho!" Eggman chuckled and rubbed his hands together, looking on as his machines continued to assemble.
"What an excellent time for two princesses to be in the same place. It's the perfect time to grab both princesses at the same time. It won't even matter if I don't capture both." Eggman chuckled.
Suddenly a small robot with large hands and legs, but a very tiny body, floated and hovered near him, it's name being Orbot.
"Boss...Shouldn't you just wait?" The red, orb-like robot spoke.
"What for, exactly, Orbot!?" Dr. Eggman sneered, glaring at his creation.
"It's just...Shouldn't you wait to capture both until they are closer...?" Orbot would float, as the bald doctor looked at his minion, with anger and a desire to just crush his assistant's tiny little body in the palm of his hands. The bald evil genius would growl and look at his assistant.
"I need one of those two! And with those two in the same exact location at the same exact time, the chances of getting at least ONE of the two, has now doubled! AND THAT IS FINAL!" Eggman yelled at Orbot, who shrunk a bit at Eggman's booming, angry, madman voice. He then turned his back to his robot creation.
"Oh, and besides..." The scientist smiled. "Even if I didn't capture one of them. I could always force them into giving me the item I want." A large grin grew on his face.
The robots in the factory continued to work away on his projects.
And the doctor just continued to cackle, knowing that his plan of capturing two princesses is about to unfold, sooner rather than later. His smile turned into a wicked, malicious grin, thinking of the possibilities of using the princess of this fine nation as a bargaining tool.
"We'll test out these new models...not just in the city, but at the Green Hill Zone. That will be a splendid start!"
"Wow." Amy would look on in awe at all of this. "So two princesses, and they are going to meet. Wow...What an honor." The pink female would think to herself. Suddenly, a loud fanfare of music was sounded off once more.
"It's about to happen! She's about to greet the other royal here." One of the nearby citizens would exclaim. "Come on everyone!" Another would shout, "Everyone quiet!"
"Please. Welcome her to our kingdom!" One would say as the crowds would begin cheering once again. Everyone was excited to see who the princess is from another faraway kingdom. A royal motorcade drove on in and would open up.
Soon enough the crowds would see the other royal, the princess from the other kingdom, as she began to emerge. She wore a blue, regal dress that flowed and hugged every one of her womanly curves.
It's as if it were made for a perfect fit, accentuating each curve and contour of her body. Around the waistline of the princess's beautiful dress was an azure sash, fastened by a buckle at her back, the fabric flowing in the wind, making her seem to glow in a magical aura as it flutters like wings on a bird.
She stepped forward. Amy gasped in awe as the two royal women would greet one another. They would make eye contact with a single glance and greet one another. As they were about to formally speak with each other. The two princesses would bow their heads in unison, as their citizens cheered.
Her name was Sally Acorn. Her large, well-developed and supple bosom would bounce lightly and sway a bit as they both stood back up again after their respective bows.
"It is truly an honor. Welcome Princess Sally Acorn, to our home...To the Kingdom of Soleanna!" Elise smiled at her as her citizens continued cheering.
Sally would smile and nod her head in return. She looked to her citizens with kind and gentle eyes, showing nothing less than love. "It's good to be here in your beautiful city, and it's an honor to meet you, as well." She spoke in a calm voice that made people's hearts skip beats.
Her voice had the power to soothe any heart and to quench the fire within all of one's souls, and even stop the fighting between foes and enemies. Truly, there wasn't a more beautiful voice in all the lands of this world than her's, and there's no way one couldn't feel at ease hearing it. "As Princess of Acorn and representative of the people of the Acorn kingdom, I humbly thank you." Sally said.
"Wow!" The pink hedgehog said as everyone clapped.
The citizens would look at the two royals. "Wonder what their alliance is." One would think.
"So, are those two princesses just gonna have a big party or something?"
"They both seem so nice."
"They're also so gorgeous too."
"Those dresses are beautiful, but the princesses themselves are much more beautiful..."
"The Princess of the Acorn Kingdom...Ahh...She looks so nice. And just, wonderful..." A citizen swooned over the sight of the princess.
"So the Acorn Princess came. I wonder what it's like for two princesses from two separate kingdoms, two different nations, meeting up to form an alliance." The young hedgehog said.
"So this is the Kingdom of Soleanna. It looks so...beautiful." Elise the princess, wearing a purple and black outfit, spoke in amazement.
"It is a pleasure that I get to finally see this lovely and enchanting city that I heard much of!" Sally replied. "I've only heard tales about your wonderful place. I cannot wait to spend some time in such a beautiful place." She continued to smile as the citizens would look at the beauty of the Acorn Kingdom's royal daughter.
Then they both bowed to one another again. But while bowing and all these cheers went on, the two of them would speak silently to each other, having completely different tones.
"Are you already getting tired of speaking all prim and proper?" Sally whispered.
"I can't take it anymore. It's exhausting. Why don't they just let us speak in our own tongues?" Elise whispered, smiling and waving at her citizens, and then at the citizens from afar. "But, I do admit, it does sometimes feel good to talk all eloquent like. So it's not the worst.."
"Oh, you always get used to it." The chipmunk princess whispered, then spoke aloud and kindly once again to everyone present in front of her. She smiled at the Soleannan crowd and waved at them kindly, as she looked around to see all of their faces, which were filled with love, adoration and respect.
"This city, the buildings, this festival, it's such an amazing time!" Amy said in amazement as they both began walking together through the crowds. They were about to walk together through the crowds and speak to the people.
"Indeed. This is such a grand event...!" Elise said to Sally as the crowds of Soleanna chatted and cheered loudly, while the Acorns that were visiting did so as well, with enthusiasm and happiness.
"Yes. Let us walk through the crowds and see these sights, and the many attractions this fine festival offers. We will find some delicious cuisine, and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere and sights." Sally spoke elegantly and gracefully as they both started moving forward. Both their guards would stand by their respective monarchs and begin leading their respective princesses through the festival.
It was an absolute sight to behold. The festival and celebration was truly beautiful and a great sight to see. The festivities were in full swing and there was a lot of joyous noise and activity in the air. The citizens of Soleanna were cheering loudly, shouting and singing.
They would continue to cheer, as their Princess and their honored guest were walking through the city's main square, enjoying all the festivities and fun. Everyone was having a great time.
But as they were enjoying themselves, high up in the vast blue skies, within the more cluttered clouds...There would be a massive flying fortress of a machine, flying through the skies, with large engines keeping it in the air and making it soar.
And on the inside, there was a mad doctor. His red coat billowed around his legs, his bald head shone under the artificial lights and his dark goggles glimmered as he looked out of his observation deck. He was a mad scientist, but there was a method to his madness. His name was none other than Eggman, the man who wanted to conquer the world.
And this mad doctor was looking down at the kingdom below, and at his robots, his creations that would soon start the assault on this fine kingdom, this city of water and beautiful buildings and structures. Soon, they'd take over the city.
"Hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm." He'd chuckle to himself. "Soon...Soleanna will be under my command. The princesses won't even be able to resist. Heh. Not that they'll be in a position to refuse." Eggman said with a chuckle. "This will be perfect! My first real strike. And after that, it's only a matter of time until I conquer all the other kingdoms, cities, and nations...and finally rule the world...!"
Eggman grinned and chuckled to himself as his plans were about to come into fruition. His plans to capture one, or both princesses were about to be set into motion, and nothing would get in his way.
He would then hear his robots speak to him through a microphone.
"Doctor...The troops are ready for deployment. The assault can begin at your command!" The robots said as Eggman was ready for the plan to be put in motion, and soon enough, he was about to command them to launch the attack, and make their way down to the city. "Ho Ho Ho Ho! Perfect! Time to initiate my plans!" Eggman smirked as he commanded his army.
"Begin your invasion! Capture the princesses, capture the citizens, and show no mercy! The city is yours to conquer! And just as importantly...the secret treasure that this kingdom is hiding."
The ships would open up from below, releasing the hordes of robotic soldiers and minions that were flying in, and then dropping onto the city, starting their assault. They would begin their attack.
The citizens witnessed these animal-like robots descending onto them, attacking them and their kingdom. They were shocked and began running for cover, and the guards that were escorting the princesses rushed to their sides and began protecting them from the assault.
But the robots were still coming down, attacking the city and its citizens, and causing damage and chaos to their surroundings. "What in the world?" A guard yelled. "Robots!?" Another shouted, as the guards began defending the princesses and their people from these mechanical menaces.
As they were being attacked by these strange robots, the citizens of the Soleanna would run and shout for help.
The robots were causing a ruckus, firing off their weapons, and attacking the people. It wasn't just the robots either. Giant mechs and walkers were coming in from the sky as well. They were big and powerful, and the citizens of the beautiful city of water were scared of them, running away from them as fast as possible, fearing that the robots and machines might kill them if they got too close.
"Princess! You must leave! Now! We will protect you, and ensure your safety." One of the guards said, with the royal guards of both princesses rushing them away.
"What is going on? Robots!? Why is this happening?" The Acorn princess asked, and her eyes were wide, trying to process what was happening. She was scared and frightened. But she was also angry and confused, as she wondered why this was all happening, and why anyone would want to attack this wonderful kingdom. She looked around, her blue eyes scanning the chaos around her, seeing how her kingdom's people were in a state of fear.
The Soleanna Guards and Acorn Guards stood beside, behind and in front of their Princesses as they rushed them to safety, protecting them with everything that they have, not wanting any harm to come to them, or their kingdom, and especially their citizens.
Sally and Elise would hold each other, comforting one another as the guards protected them. Both were frightened and scared of what was happening, and of course, they were scared of what would happen to their people.
Suddenly a large robot walker, with long, sharp claws and a large clawed foot would land near them. The princesses gasped, as it stomped in front of them, with a large laser cannon on top of its back.
"Oh no..." Sally would gasp, her blue eyes growing wide in fright. The guards of both nations would hold their weapons tightly, ready to protect the princesses at a moment's notice, not letting the robot get close to their royal monarchs.
"I'll keep them safe, you protect the others." The Soleanna Guard Captain said as the Acorn guards began leaving with the princess of their own nation. He was standing by the Soleannan Princess's side as the robots began to close in on her and her remaining guards. They were closing in on her and the guards, and she was terrified of what could happen.
"Hohohoho!" Suddenly, a powerful and devious laugh would get closer as Eggman had arrived. He sat in a small half-open egg-shaped vehicle known as the Eggmobile, descending from the flying fortress of his, and would get in the center of the action. He was here in the city, ready to cause more havoc. He laughed manically at his robots and mechs, who were causing a huge amount of damage and destruction to the city, as he had planned. His laughter echoed through the air, and it sent chills down the princess's spine.
"Who...Who are you? What are you doing here!?" Elise shouted.
"Who am I? Hm-hm! I am Dr Ivo. Eggman! Genius Scientist, soon to be ruler of the world! It's an honor to meet you both during this prestigous meeting." He said with a condescending and sarcastic tone. "Now...I have some business to attend to here." He said as he landed right in front of her. His egg-shaped machine was floating right in front of her. She was scared and confused, but she wouldn't show that.
"What do you want from us!?" She yelled at him, her eyes showing defiance.
"The treasure that lies within this Kingdom, of course." Eggman stated as a matter of fact. "And you, Princess of Soleanna! Your knowledge, and your power. You will give me the information that I need. The same goes for you, Princess of the Acorn Kingdom. I have plans that need to be fulfilled, and you both will help me with them."
"W-What treasure are you talking about...?" Elise stuttered while stepping back a bit.
"Just one. And I know for a fact you have it. The Chaos Emerald." He smirked, and his grin grew as he spoke. "You see...I've been watching this city for a while. And I know that somewhere within this beautiful kingdom, is one of the seven Chaos Emeralds." He said with an evil grin. "Items of Limitless Power. Limitless Power that will do perfectly in my hands..." The mad scientist threatened, as the robots and machines began to circle around Elise, with her eyes growing wide in fright, as the robots and machines closed in.
Sally looked at the scene, her blue eyes wide and afraid. She witnessed how the guards failed to overpower these robots, their sharp weapons not even putting a dent in all that metal. She was worried for her friend, and she was worried for her kingdom, and the citizens that lived within it. And even her own people, the Acorns, who were also in trouble, as they too were being attacked by the robots.
It was chaos as the ranged weapons of these robots would strike at the castle, attempting to snatch the Chaos Emerald hidden in the depths of the castle. Holes would be blasted open as they were making their way into the building. Citizens were being grabbed, captured and imprisoned by these robots, and the princess's own people, her fellow subjects were at risk too. They were being taken away by these machines, and being forced to board Eggman's flying fortress.
"Please...No more! You don't have to do this...! What is it you want?" The princess of Soleanna asked.
Eggman's eyes would widen. He had the perfect opportunity to make a threat, and a very powerful one at that, one that would make the princesses listen to him and obey him without question.
"Hoh! Hohoha! Hahaha!" Eggman would laugh and rub his hands together as he looked down at the frightened young lady. He would hover over the princess in his hovercraft and look at her. He would point at the flying fortress, the airship of his, in which the citizens, her own people were being held in. He smirked.
"Now now. I can easily drop them. Right into the ocean, far from land. No way of swimming out of that one. I could even drop them on the land below. Either way, they die. All because you were disobedient." Eggman threatened, looking down at the beautiful girl. He was making the threat very real and serious. She was frightened. "I don't care how I dispose of them, but I'll make it happen if you don't give me that information, and soon." Eggman's grin widened, his eyes growing even wider.
"No! Please!" Sally would shout, with Eggman hearing this and smirking.
"Then you'll tell me where the Chaos Emerald is...! Or I'll start dropping your people into the ocean, one by one, until they drown. Or I'll drop them on land. They won't last long either way. You don't have much of a choice." The mad scientist smirked.
But Elise stayed silent, refusing to say anything. She'd never reveal the whereabouts of such a valuable and powerful item. Elise, with her eyes closed, kept her restraint, but at this rate, it might falter and shatter.
However, Eggman soon spotted someone run out of the castle. In his hand, he held the Chaos Emerald, trying to escape with it. The man had a small bag, with a gem-like object sticking out from it.
"Ahah! There we go!" Eggman grinned, as his robots started firing at the soldier that was trying to run with the emerald, rapid bullets of a strange energy source flying by. The soldier knew he couldn't outrun them, so, with all of his might, he threw the bag into the air, sending it as far as he possibly could.
The bag, along with the Emerald would soar into the distance. "Get the Emerald!" Eggman yelled. The robots and mechs would start flying towards the direction in which the emerald went, as it would soon descend and land in the area known as the Green Hill Zone.
"No!" The Princess of Soleanna exclaimed.
But Eggman didn't mind, as he still had hostages and prisoners, and could still make demands. However, the bag ould eventually drop. But it didn't drop in the hands of the robots. In fact, the bag itself didn't drop, but rather, the Chaos Emerald itself would drop.
Right into the hands of Amy Rose.
"Ack!" The pink hedgehog yelped a the strange, glowing gem fell right in front of her, and in her hand, its green colours shining. "What is this...?" When holding it, Amy felt something.
A voice called out to her, ringing in her head. She felt something ethereal and heard something mystical when holding this Emerald. She was entranced by it, almost as if this Emerald was reacting to her specifically. It certainly didn't react to the soldier at all.
Eggman looked over to see the pink female holding the emerald, his eyes growing wide in shock and awe. He looked at the pink female in front of him, with a large smile.
"Blast her!" He ordered as all attention was now drawn to Amy. "Don't let her escape! She has the Chaos Emerald!" He shouted, as the robots and machines began to charge towards the hedgehog girl, firing their weapons at her, trying to capture her.
Amy began running away, holding onto the Emerald, while dodging bullets, missiles, lasers and other forms of attack from these robots. She was very quick on her feet, but she was also frightened and afraid of what was happening. She didn't want to lose her life.
She ran and ran as the robots fired and launched their weapons and ammunition at her, all trying to take her down. And right as it looked like one of the lasers was about to hit her, the moment Amy cowered in fear, something approached at even greater speeds, leaving behind a trail of blue light.
And suddenly, a blur would swoop in. A blue streak of lightning. A blur, that would rush in and pick Amy up, carrying her off and saving her, leaving behind a trail of wind in the process.
"W-What...Who are you?" Amy asked as she felt herself be picked up by someone. "Who...Who are you!?" Amy would ask as she looked up to see her rescuer. She was in the arms of someone. And this someone was a blue hedgehog. And not only that, he was extremely fast.
"I'm Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog." He smiled at her, carrying her off, holding the pink female in his hands and running through the city. The robots continued to fire directly at Sonic and Amy as the pink hedgehog held the Emerald close to her. To her surprise and the surprise of everyone else, Sonic was outpacing, dodging and outrunning these lasers and bullets with no difficulty whatsoever. He had a smile on his face, as if it were nothing.
Amy yelped and screamed a little bit, being held by this blue hedgehog as she was taken along for a ride. He was going faster and faster, and he was running all over the place. He jumped over obstacles, ducked and weaved through tight spaces, and ran up and down the sides of buildings.
"W-What is this speed?!" Eggman bellowed with confusion on his face. He had never seen someone go this fast. Not ever. No one has. "He's so fast!" Eggman shouted, as his robots were getting outrun. "Don't lose sight of him! Go after him!" He ordered as his robots and machines followed the speedy hedgehog. "I need that Chaos Emerald. Capture the blue pest! Bring him back here! NOW!" Eggman shouted as his robots followed the speedy blue hero. They were getting outmatched, outpaced and outdone.
"Wohooo!" Meanwhile, Sonic was having the time of his life, performing tricks in the air as he carried the pink female, while the pink female herself was both amazed by the hedgehog's incredible speed, but also terrified, and quite dizzy. "What a ride! Alright! Time to get physical!" Sonic grinned, ready to stop running and finally take on these robots directly.
In a sudden burst of speed, he approached the robots that were still firing, but he would jump into the air, spin and dive into the robots with great power and speed, completely destroying them in a single blow. Amy watched in shock as he destroyed these robots, one after another.
He landed on the ground and quickly took off running again. Approaching more robots, he would then kick right into some of them, destroying them once more.
"Amazing..." Amy was starstruck by this. Such speed. Such power.
"Sorry for carrying you around for a while now!" Sonic chuckled while looking at Amy. "I'll find somewhere snazzy for you to hide at!" He grinned.
"N-No! It's fine! I don't mind it at all! It's...It's kind of nice, actually." Amy giggled a little, blushing and smiling, while she looked at Sonic, the hedgehog who was holding her and protecting her.
"She won't be hiding anywhere! Not until she hands over that Chaos Emerald!" Eggman declared, his voice bellowing from above. "If you want to play hero, then you'll do something about those two, won't you?! Aim at the Princesses!"
The robots and mechs would turn and aim their weaponry at Elise and Sally Acorn. He was willing to harm them just to make Sonic come to a halt, even if it would jeopardise his captivity part. The two princesses gasped, standing close to each other in fear as their eyes grew wide, looking at the robots.
Amy gasped, seeing what Eggman was doing. She looked at Sonic with a fearful look. Just then, Sonic would smirk, throwing Amy into the air. The pink hedgehog screamed as she ascended upwards.
But he had a plan in motion.
"Sorry about that!" He called out before swiftly zooming over to the princesses. Eggman would try to fire his weaponry, but Sonic had already gotten to the princesses. In a blur, he would smash the robots that aimed their weapons at the princesses at breakneck speeds, and then, with all his strength and speed, he'd launch himself off the ground, and fly up in the air to catch Amy, and soon enough, land right back down.
He landed and put the pink hedgehog down safely.
"Oh! T-Thank you." She was amazed, her cheeks a little flushed and rosy. She looked at him, as he grinned, and winked at her. He looked up to Eggman. Now, Sonic was in front of both Sally and Elise while holding Amy.
"Grrrrgh...!" Naturally, Eggman was beyond frustrated by this. His plan had almost come into fruition, everything going exactly how he envisioned it. But as soon as Sonic showed up, it all went up in flames. And it only took a moment for it to completely unravel. This speedy hedgehog ruined it all, and Eggman was furious about it. But then, his expression turned to a devious and wicked grin. "You blue rat! I don't know who you think you are, but you won't get away with ruining this golden opportunity for me!"
"I totally will." Sonic said with a cocky tone, only aggravating the Mad Doctor more.
"Fine then! You won't escape me that easily! You'll see what happens to those that mess with me!" He grinned, looking at the hedgehog with an evil grin. He had a plan, a backup plan in place, just in case. Sonic was too fast for his regular robots, but this machine was designed to combat speeds like his. It would take care of the blue pest. "You won't escape this!" He grinned, pressing a button on his Eggmobile.
Suddenly, from the depths of the city's streets, a giant mechanical spider would rise up, towering above all. It was massive and looked extremely powerful. "This is one of my best machines! It's designed to take on fast and agile targets, especially those that try to outrun it! You won't be escaping this!" Eggman grinned as his machine would start moving towards them.
Sonic looked at the machine and smirked. "Oh yeah? I bet you I will." He said with confidence, his smile not leaving his face. "This'll be a breeze." He said, as the giant spider mech would start moving towards the four. Its legs were massive and moved with great power. Its speed was great, and its agility was high. Sonic knew he could outrun it if he had to, but he didn't want to run from it. He would face it head on. He was ready to battle it, and he had no doubts about his abilities.
"Let's see if you're right about that." Eggman said, with a wicked grin. "Now go! Destroy that blue rat! Capture those women, and retrieve that Chaos Emerald!" He ordered, as the giant spider would begin to chase Sonic, who began to run away.
Eggman would watch as the battle began, watching with interest and excitement. He knew that this mech was powerful enough to take care of the speedy hedgehog.
Meanwhile, the three women would watch the scene unfold, as the hedgehog was now facing off against the giant spider. Amy stood next to the two Princesses, looking at the scene with a worried expression on her face as she held the Chaos Emerald.
However, the hedgehog was having no problem. He ran around in a blur, as the spider mech was struggling to keep up with him. Sonic was running circles around the mech, and making it look foolish, as he continued to outpace it, outrun it, and outclass it.
Eventually, Sonic would find himself behind the mech, and would spin into a ball, and launch himself towards its back. He'd strike it right in its rear, causing it to wobble and stumble.
The mech would swing its giant legs and arms around, trying to catch him, but Sonic would quickly dodge and evade the attacks, and then he would spin into his ball form again and launch himself towards the mech. He'd strike it right on its side, causing it to stumble and wobble once more, as it tried to regain its balance.
Sonic would then leap up into the air, and land on its head. The mech would try to shake him off, but he was too fast. Sonic would then leap up once more and land on its head. The mech would try to shake him off again, but he was too fast.
He'd then leap up one last time and land on its back. The mech would try to shake him off, but he was too fast.
Then, the mech would begin to shake violently, trying to shake Sonic off of its back.
"Wh-What!?" Eggman exclaimed, seeing his mech wobble and shake, as if malfunctioning. He was in disbelief, and was completely shocked. He was sure that the mech was able to handle a speedy target. But it seemed that it couldn't handle the blue hedgehog.
The mech would eventually fall to the ground with a loud thud. Sonic would jump off its back and land on the ground. The spider mech would then explode in a large explosion, with parts flying everywhere.
Eggman watched with anger and shock, and then looked to Sonic, who was standing on the ground, looking at him. The hedgehog had a cocky smirk on his face, as he looked at the doctor.
"Wha-!? How!? HOW!? How is he doing all of this? How can he outrun my machines?" Eggman yelled, completely baffled by what he had seen, his voice booming through the air in anger. He couldn't comprehend it. He couldn't comprehend it at all. "How could I, Dr Eggman, have a robot that failed this miserably?!"
Sonic chuckled. "Sorry, doc! Looks like I've beat your machine!" Sonic grinned, giving him a thumbs up. "Guess it wasn't as good as you thought!" He said, before turning his attention back to the three women.
"Thank you...whoever you are." Sally Acorn said, looking at the blue hedgehog. "You saved us all..." She smiled at him.
"Thank you so much, and you are?" Elise asked, also smiling.
"I'm Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog!" He grinned, as Amy would walk closer to him. Retainers rushed to Elise's side, glad to see that their princess was okay.
"Princess Elise!" One would shout.
"Are you okay? Did that hedgehog do anything to you?" Another would ask.
"Are you alright? Are you hurt? Did they hurt you?" A third would ask.
"We were so worried about you!" Another would exclaim.
"No, I'm fine." Elise said. "He actually protected me. And saved my life."
Sally looked to Sonic, and gave a warm smile. "I have to thank you as well...My name is Princess Sally Acorn." She smiled and bowed, and then continued. "You saved me and the princess, but most importantly, you saved her kingdom." She spoke, her voice soft and gentle, but also full of gratitude and respect.
"Ah! The Chaos Emerald!" Elise's mind clicked onto the Emerald, seeing that it was still in Amy's grasp. Amy was so fixated on everything that had just happened that she blanked out about her holding the Chaos Emerald. The retainer that was with Elise rushed to the Pink female and grabbed the Emerald out of her grasp, much to Amy's surprise and confusion. She was confused as to why the retainer snatched it from her.
"Ah! Hey!" Amy puffed her cheeks, upset at the force it as taken off from her.
"It's fine. She kept it safe, thankfully." Elise spoke as the retainer gave the Emerald to the Princess, with her looking at it, smiling. "The Emerald. It was safely retrieved. Thanks to this girl." Elise smiled at Amy, then back to Sonic.
"What even is that thing? Pretty neat-looking." Sonic took a gander at the Emerald.
"A sacred treasure that's secret has now been compromised thanks to our attacker." Elise sighed. "A Chaos Emerald."
"A Chaos Emerald?" Sonic repeated.
"These Emeralds are...well, they are known to hold the power to turn the thoughts of living things into power, and to power machines, and make impossible feats possible...and they can grant infinite energy." Elise said. "Or so the Legends ay.
"Infinite energy...?" Sonic repeated, looking at the Emerald. "Huh...cool." He nodded. He had a lot of questions, but he would save them for later.
"But now, it's secret no longer matters. Eggman knew that we had one. And now, he knows that there are more out there. We have to hide this one."
"What shall we do, princess? The castle has suffered heavy damage and concealing the Emerald will have to be done elsewhere." Another retainer said.
"I don't know..." Elise lowered her head, unsure of what to do. "What should we do?"
Sally would speak. "We can have the Emerald kept in a safe place, somewhere in the Acorn Kingdom. We will give it to a trusted friend, who will guard the emerald and keep it safe, and hidden. And if Eggman goes after it, we will have the forces to defend it, should he try anything."
"Are you sure? If he strikes, will your kingdom be prepared to defend it?" Elise asked, a bit concerned.
"Uhh...Good point." Sally would also lower her head, realizing she'd be putting her kingdom in jeopardy too. This Eggman character was brand new to them, so they had no idea what to expect. He might not be as big of a threat, but he might just be a threat big enough. They needed to keep their kingdoms and their people safe.
"Well, you've gotta think of something fast. Based on what that Egg-head said, he knows it's gonna be extra tough for you guys to hide it after what he did. No doubt he's gonna show up sooner for Round 2." Sonic would say with a shrug.
If only they could think of something fast enough. Eggman's attack left them in shambles and Elise was just unsure of hat to do next.
"Um...I have an idea of what you could do." Suddenly, Amy spoke. She had something in mind. Specifically to when she held the Emerald and felt it call out to her, like something was telling her to hold on to it, and to keep it close. She felt a connection to it, a bond of some kind, as if it wanted to stay with her.
"Really?" Sally and Elise would both say in unison.
"I heard something when I held the Emerald. Like...It was speaking to me." Amy would say. "I'm not sure why, or how, but I felt that the Emerald wanted to be in my care. It's a strange feeling, but it's there. And the reason I felt that way is probably the same reason it fell right in front of me and into my hands."
"...Did you say it spoke to you?" A priest would step forward, looking at the pink female with an expression that's a mix of confusion and curiosity. "There are certain...Legends. Legends of the Chaos Emeralds, that have been told since ancient times." He would begin to explain, as the princesses and Sonic would look at him. Amy would look at him as well, but with a more intrigued and interested look.
"Legends?" Amy asked.
"The Chaos Emeralds have a lot of history. They have been used in the past to harness great powers and to perform feats that seemed impossible, or at least very difficult." He said. "And the thing is, they are not ordinary gemstones, as one might assume. They are sentient objects, and have the ability to communicate with the people who wield them."
"Sentient objects? You're telling me that the Emeralds are alive?" Sally raised an eyebrow.
"Of a sorts. Not in the sense of a living being, but rather in the sense that they can communicate with the wielder. They are very rare and special objects that are capable of doing many things. And they can even react to certain people in a way that they normally wouldn't with others. If it's reacting to you then...there must be something unique that it's sensed."
"Judging by that...maybe you should hold onto it." Sally scratched her hair.
"Me? I-I can't hold onto it!" Amy stuttered. "I mean, I'm just a small town girl. I'm not really cut out for this kind of stuff." The pink female would say. "Besides, it's a lot of responsibility. I wouldn't know what to do with it!"
"I'm not sure what to do either..." Elise said, looking at the Emerald in her hand, thinking about it for a few moments.
"Then...you should hold it!" Amy faced Sonic. "You're the one who saved us all. And you've got the speed to keep it in a good place. It should be in your hands. So you should have it, right?" She smiled. "I mean, what kind of hero wouldn't want an awesome treasure like this?"
"I dunno, I'm more of a 'freedom of travel' kind of guy." The hedgehog shrugged before thinking about it. "That guy's gonna come back looking for it though. It's super important for him to do all that for this..."
"But he will also come back for us." Sally reminded them that Eggman will try and kidnap her and Elise when he comes back. "I should head back to my kingdom while I still have the chance."
"No need. I can get you outta here." Sonic pointed at himself. "If you two are looking to get outta here, I'd suggest heading to a pretty sweet spot I found. Green Hill Zone's the name, and it's far enough away to where it'll take him a while to find ya. And the Acorn Kingdom is right next to it too."
"Are you sure about that?" A retainer asked. "It will take us a while, but we will be able to get her there on our own. We have our own transportation. But we will also have to tend to everyone else here..."
"I can't leave my subjects though but..." Elise sighed, feeling rather powerless right now. "I can't stay here either, especially with that madman after me." She was in a dilemma. She was a princess and had a duty to her people and her kingdom, but she couldn't be in danger, especially with someone like Eggman after her.
She was stuck between a rock and a hard place, and it was a difficult choice to make. She had to make a decision and soon. She had to choose between her kingdom and the safety of her people, or the safety of herself and the protection of the Chaos Emerald. Either way, it was going to be a tough choice to make, and she felt guilty either way.
"If you're not comfortable with coming along, then that's cool. What about you?" Sonic turned his attention to the Acorn Princess. "Do you want to tag along? We're gonna go somewhere safe, and you can stay with us. I can get you out of here in no time."
"Well...Alright. I'll go. I need to get to my Kingdom as soon as possible. I need to get to my father and inform him of this mad man's presence."
"Wait! If you are to leave...then take it with you." The Priest took the Emerald off the Retainer's hand, promptly going to Amy.
"B-But I already said I'm not cut out for it!" The Pink hedgehog exclaimed as the Emerald was handed to her.
"It's reacting to you, which means it's chosen you. The Legends peak of such a reaction meaning something. Please, keep this Emerald safe." The priest smiled.
"I-I'll at least hold onto it until it's somewhere safe?" Amy would take the Emerald, and then look at it, holding it close to herself, almost in a hugging manner. She was now the holder of this valuable item.
"Alright. Now that that's settled, let's go." Sonic said, and with a quick motion, he picked both girls up, one under each arm. Amy and Sally squeaked in surprise as he picked them up. The blue hedgehog grinned as he looked at the two of them. "Hold on tight!" He smiled at them.
And then, in a burst of speed, Sonic took off with Amy and Sally in his arms. They were off to the Green Hill Zone. The priest watched them, and prayed that the Emerald was safe in the hands of Amy.
Sonic moved as a blur while carrying these two girls. The small-town girl and the princess held onto tightly to him while having their eyes closed. But they soon figured out that moving this fast while Sonic held them was not uncomfortable at all. In fact, the speed at which he was moving was more than enough to keep them from falling off of him, and it was almost as if they were floating on a cloud.
They looked down to see the ground moving beneath them at a rapid pace, and the scenery changing around them. It was amazing, and they both were amazed by it.
Little did they know, this was the start of something magnificent. Their lives from this point onwards would never be the same again...
