Hey everyone. Episode 5 of Sky High: My Stretchy Step Brother is here! I hope Lash and Embrick are getting more tense than the previous episode/chapter.
The next day, Saturday, Lash walked downstairs eating cereal while notices Embrick wasn't in the kitchen. Heturns to Pyro.
Lash: Hey, where's the twerp? I don't see him down here.
Pyro: sigh Maybe still in the bed. Listen, figlio. You and Embrick are ungrounded. If I see or hear you two fighting again, you two will be grounded for the weekend and be ungrounded on Monday, understand?
Lash rolls his eyes, but nods begrudgingly.
Lash: Yeah, I get it. No more fighting with the twerp. Got it.
Yuki: That's good. We are both going to work. So, no fighting.
Yuki kiss Lash goodbye as she and Pyro leave for work.
Lash watches his parents leave for work, feeling relieved that the grounding is over. He takes one more bite of his cereal before getting up from the table and heading upstairs. Lash knocks on Embrick's door.
Lash stands outside your door, feeling a mixture of reluctance and curiosity. He knocks loudly, waiting for a response. Lash waits for a few moments, but there's no response from your room. He frowns and knocks again.
Lash: Hey, twerp? You in there?
Lash rolls his eyes, feeling frustrated by your lack of response. He knocks once more, louder this time.
Lash: You better not be ignoring me, twerp. I know you're in there. Open up!
Lash growls in annoyance, growing increasingly impatient. He bangs on the door harder, practically banging his fist against the wood.
Lash: Come on, twerp. Open the damn door already!
Lash grumbles, feeling like a fool standing outside your door to no avail. He bangs on the door once more, practically shouting by now.
Lash: Cmon, open the door! I know you're in there! Stop being a baby and come out already!
Lash loses his patience, his frustration boiling over. He clenches his fists, feeling a mix of anger and annoyance.
Lash: That's it. If you're not gonna open the door, I'm gonna bust it down myself.
Lash kicks the door open, and sees my room thrashed. Lash's eyes widen as he looks into your room, seeing the mess inside. He steps into the room, taking in the sight of overturned furniture, torn bedding, and scattered debris.
Lash: What the hell...?
Lash hears me snoring in the closet. He opens the closet door and sees me sleeping in the closet. Lash looks inside the closet, his eyebrows raising in surprise as he sees you fast asleep inside. He can't believe that you've been hiding in there this whole time.
Lash: You've got to be kidding me...Heh, well, that explains why you didn't answer the door.
Lash picks up the drawing he found on his bed, his eyes widening as he gets a closer look at it. He stares at the disturbing image, taken aback by its violent depictions. The sight of the picture with him, his dad, and your mom with their heads cut off and blood made him feel a mixture of shock and concern.
Lash gasps as he notices the hanging scene on the other drawing. The image of you hanging from a noose makes his heart skip a beat. The sight of such a graphically violent depiction left him feeling shaken and deeply concerned.
Lash's eyes widen as he takes in the final drawing, one that depicts both him and you smiling blissfully. The contrast between the disturbing scenes and this last image of friendship left him feeling bewildered and puzzled. Lash jumps in surprise as you suddenly jolt awake, groggily rubbing your eyes. He quickly sets down the drawings he had been holding.
Embrick: Um...what...are...you...doing here?
Lash composes himself, trying to sound casual.
Lash: Oh, just checking to see why you weren't answering the door. And, uh, why have you been sleeping in the closet all night.
Embrick: Uh...just...want to be...alone...
Lash raised an eyebrow at your response.
Lash: Yeah? You just wanted some alone time, huh? In the closet? Sounds like a pretty crappy way to spend the night.
Embrick: Yeah...
Lash looks at you skeptically, his curiosity piqued.
Lash: You sure that's the only reason you've been hiding out here all night?
Embrick: Yes...
Lash studies you for a moment, not convinced by your response.
Lash: Are you sure there's nothing else going on? You've been acting weird, even before the whole grounding thing.
Embrick: Just nothing else...
Lash studies you carefully, trying to gauge your expression.
Lash: You're hiding something. I know you are. You're not a good liar, you know that, right?
Embrick: I'm not hiding something. Just leave me alone...
Lash looks at Embrick for a few more moments, torn between wanting to press the matter further and respecting his desire to be left alone. Reluctantly, he turns and leaves the room, closing the door behind him.
Episode 5 ends.
Hey, everyone. I hope you like the short fifth episode. Lash found disturbing drawings that Embrick made. What is he hiding? Let's find out in the next episode. Stay tuned! :)
