Chapter 3

Kiyoshi was stunned that Ryoto just got up and vanished, then again, he sensed Fushiguro near by… perhaps that text to his father played a role in this? He was texting his father what was happening just as Ryoto excused himself from Kiyoshi's side. When the text went out, Ryoto was quick to vanish from the school.

"RYOTO?!" he jumped a little as he heard the principal shout for Ryoto, Kiyoshi was quick to rush over and explain that Ryoto left rather suddenly since he wasn't feeling well.

The principal sighed to this. "We finally get a day that we can have a proper lesson, not to mention I want to see his true technique first hand…"

"He said he was getting a headache and had to leave."

Principal Kashimo paused to this. "Truly? Huh…" there was an odd look on his face, does he suspect something?

"If anything, I want to speak with his parents as to why his training was delayed, there's no excuse when he has talent… at the same time I have a feeling that his headache is linked to this…"

'He's smart, I'll give him that' Kiyoshi thought to himself.

"Perhaps it was just a lot for him, considering he was tending to something important wasn't he?"

"Ah, yes, that… how much of that do you know?" suddenly, he stared at Kiyoshi oddly. "In fact, we figured there is a lot more to you than what is being told… at the same time, I have never encountered a sorcerer who is this in tune with the elements…"

"Are you suspicious of me?" Kiyoshi asked.

"No, curious. I know much about what has happened in the past, but I don't know everything. Besides the fact they treated your father poorly… at the same time, you and Ryoto are hiding who you really are. It's not something I can really let go of since I know it is for a reason… at the same time, being sorcerers. I have to be cautious."

He then took a deep breath and sighed. "At the same time, Ryoto was entrusted with something extremely important… He cannot be a bad person if that was left in his care."

"The baby dragon." Kiyoshi said bluntly. The principal stared at him, bewildered. "You knew…"

There was something welling up in Kiyoshi. "Sensei, can I speak to you somewhere private?"

They went to the principal's office, the door closed and as a precaution, jujutsu to seal off the room. When they were alone, Kiyoshi turned to the principal and said. "I know about the baby dragon since… I'm one too," he confessed.

He saw his look remain unchanged, but then he rolled his eyes and sighed aloud. "Do you know of Ryujin then?"

He nodded to that. "Yes, I know of Ryujin, but…" he froze, the words weren't coming out of his mouth! "Sensei… I can't speak of it!"

He tried time and time again to utter a word about Ryujin, but he couldn't, in fact he couldn't explain himself any farther than the fact he was a dragon!

Kashimo however, wasn't stunned by this. "It's not odd, you are bounded to a secret, and I respect that. But it does explain a lot about you, no one here can sense your curse energy and yet you can use it. I have seen you manipulate it, but you have relied on your elemental power over water. At the same time, any sorcerer who is able to do such things would have been showing off left and right. You have been very cautious about your power… that must come from your father."

More or less…

"I am sorry for not saying anything… I doubt anyone would have believed me." Kiyoshi said offhandedly.

"Yeah, well I got things I could say and I doubt you would believe me… and just like you, I can't bring myself to speak it…" a moment of pause came over him as he peered at Kiyoshi oddly. "Which means… this could be connected…" suddenly, his eyes widened. "Do you know where Ryoto lives?!"

He suddenly got excited, so much so he was sparking!

"Uh… yes…"

"Good! Then this is the path we need to take… this is all connecting! FINALLY!" he cheered and even let off some electricity as he did! Kiyoshi was concerned and yet… he has never seen the principal this happy before.

"It is all connecting… Ryoto has to be a key to this…" he muttered.

"You're… not going to hurt him, are you?"

Kashimo snapped out of his rambling. "What?! NO!" he protested. "All I know is Ryoto has been brought to us for a very specific reason, I can't speak of it as you cannot speak any farther about yourself… by the way, that secret does not leave this room, I won't even tell the other teachers about it."

He was relieved. "Thank you sir,"

"I just ask… if there is anything happening or something we need to do… inform me. I trust you." He said with great sincerity.

Kiyoshi nodded to this. "Yes sir,"

"Good, let's go back and join the other student."

"HEAVY!"

"OOF!"

Towa was having fun. She and her brother were playing feather wand with everyone, they were enjoying themselves especially when Wasuke casted 'Light' on those he targeted.

Kids were floating in the air and yet their teacher kept a close eye. "Remember, not too high and not too far!" he insisted.

Those floating around were laughing and giggling at it all. The twins have become rather popular in their classes, they caught on to lessons quickly and helped those who asked, at the same time, their technique was fun.

"You two have been training, haven't you?" sensei Takaba asked.

"We have had LOTS of practice!" Wasuke said proudly.

Their cousins Nao and Chiyo were also showing off their skills too. In fact Towa hasn't really seen them in action until Nao demonstrated. She is able to take a wisp of curse energy and wrap it around a straw doll like what her mother uses, then she can control that sorcerer! She only has done this a few time to demonstrate but she explained the effects last as long as she keep focus on the straw doll and maintain the curse energy that surrounds it.

"It's a powerful technique to have" sensei Takaba stated. "But it's not much fun to play with…"

"Not unless it's a person you don't like," Nao said without a care in her voice. "That's when it is most fun, but sensei… you're right. I don't like to use this against people who have done no wrong to me." She said.

Her sister on the other hand has her mother's technique. But the difference is she can make nails, a hammer and straw doll with her technique, but she still needs something physical from her enemy to use the technique well.

"Okay everyone, let's switch out, who wants to demonstrate next?" sensei called out. Other children were reluctant to do so, Wasuke and Towa however were encouraging and tried to convince them to try.

But they were too shy and refused to. "Ours isn't as fun." One girl muttered.

"We can't make it fun…" said another.

Sensei has tried to get the kids to participate more, but when they feel intimidated it is harder to do. "Then, how about you face me?"

Towa smiled as did Wasuke. "Oniichan!" they cheered.

Kiyoshi had approached them, the principal was smiling as Kiyoshi whispered into sensei's ear. His eyes widened in shock but he was impressed. "Can you?" he asked bewildered.

"Wanna watch?" Kiyoshi asked. "Okay kids, this way! BUT… give me twenty minutes."

Towa was already gitty with excitement. None of the other kids besides her brother and cousins knew what was coming, but, twenty minutes later, they were taken to the field and it was covered in snow. In fact the whole school came to see the snow and were amazed as Kiyoshi stood in the middle of it all. "Okay… you kids, take one side, I get the other, your goal is to get to my end without getting hit. But, that's easier said than done" he teased.

"Those who are not certain about their technique can use it against me, everyone else… go ahead, you will need all the help you can get"

The kids made their way down. Towa and Wasuke were excited as the other kids didn't know what to expect. "What do we do? Are we just facing him?" whispered one student.

But then ground trembled. Suddenly, snowmen began to rise from the ground on Kiyoshi's side and by the hundreds! "Whoa!" the kids whispered in shock. "We have to fight those?!"

"Wait, what is he riding on?!"

Towa peered and saw her older brother riding a tiger made of snow. Any child would find this amazing and also scary at the same time. "SNOWMEN FORWARD!"

The snowmen lurched forward, it was a slow pace so the kids could hold their own, but now, there were hundreds approaching them! "FIGHT BACK!" Nao called.

"TO ARMS!" shouted her sister Chiyo.

Although they are just kids, they rallied themselves, those too scared to use their technique unleashed it upon the snowmen.

It was a day no one would soon forget!
