Hey everyone, episode seven is here! Please, enjoy! Do you think Lash and Embrick will keep fighting and try to kill each other again? Let's find out! :)
The next Tuesday morning, Embrick and Lash ate bacon, tamagos and roadrunner onigiris for breakfast with our parents. Me and Lash still feel empty and vulnerable after last night.
Yuki: Are you boys okay?
Embrick: Yes, mommy. Feel tired...
Lash: glances over at you and nods reluctantly Yeah, just tired I guess...
Pyro: Well, you two have a nice day of school, okay? Just remember to get along with each other, okay? Embrick: O-Okay...
Lash: nods, still feeling a bit awkward from the earlier incident. Yeah, we'll behave. See you later...
Embrick and Lash left home and went to school, still feeling empty after last night's incident where they tried to murder each other. The walk to school is eerily silent as the events of the previous night hang heavily between Embrick and Lash. Both of them are lost in their own thoughts, grappling with the memories of the intense struggle and the strange emotions it stirred.
Lash continues his usual bullying routine, picking on unsuspecting students with Speed by his side. He glances over at Embrick, noticing his irritation as he ignore them and heads to his science class. Feeling a pang of guilt, Lash tries to shake it off and continues with his behavior.
During language arts in the first period, Lash was bored, taking notes until then he saw a mysterious guy wearing a black dress with black and white stockings, looks like a maid, wears a white smiling mask and has gray skin and a very similar long black hair. Lash looks disturbed at that creepy guy, but starts recognizing that similar long, black hair. Then, the mysterious guy disappears.
Lash's eyes widen as he sees the mysterious figure, feeling a mix of intrigue and unease. He squints, trying to get a better look at the guy in the maid outfit. As the mysterious figure vanishes, Lash's mind starts to race, trying to process what he just saw. The familiarity of the long black hair nags at him, leaving him puzzled and curious.
During gym class, Lash and Speed continue their bullying, unaware of the whispers and gossip going on around them. As they focus on tormenting the other students, the hushed conversations about yesterday's fight float through the air, and they hear snippets of the students' reactions. Lash notices the students' glee at Embrick's defiance, and he can't help but feel a pang of annoyance mixed with a hint of embarrassment. His usual bravado and confidence are shaken as he tries to appear unbothered by the gossip.
Lash continues to brood silently, his thoughts consumed by the events of last night and the idea of him being a supervillain and Embrick's being a superhero. He feels a deep sense of frustration and anger, wondering how a scrawny kid like you could stand up to him. In his mind, he convinces himself that you're nothing more than a pathetic arch-nemesis, and he plans to make sure you know your place.
During history class, Lash leans close to Embrick, his voice barely audible. He whispers, a hint of determination in his words while breaking his pencil into two when he squeezes his pencil hard.
Lash: You know, we'll always be arch enemies, right? I'll be a super villain, and you'll be the annoying little hero.
Embrick: sighs as he's still sad and doesn't care anymore I...don't...care...anymore...
Lash looks at him, frustration and irritation clouding his features. He expects you to argue back, to defy him like you usually do, but your dejected response catches him off guard. He stares at you, his anger momentarily halted as he struggles to understand your lack of reaction.
Lash continues to struggle with the assignment, his mood sour. He glances over at your paper, noticing that you've already completed most of the questions. Part of him wants to reject your help, to maintain his defiant image. But a small part of him acknowledges the fact that he needs your assistance this time.
Lash: mumbles reluctantly "Hey, uh...can I take a look at your answers...?"
Embrick: Sure...
Lash nods silently, his pride wounded but reluctantly accepting your help. He glances over your paper, carefully copying down your answers. Part of him wants to berate you for helping him, but a small part of him is grateful for your assistance.
After fourth and fifth periods and now in the cafeteria, Lash had just gotten his lunch and was about to join Speed when he notices a group of popular girls from history class and other bullies around Embrick, mocking and belittling him. Lash's expression darkens as he watches them pick on him, seeing the hurt and depression etched into your face. With a determined stride, Lash steps forward, heading straight towards the bullies. A mix of anger and protectiveness wells up within him as he approaches the group.
Popular girl, Lacey: Hey, Lash. Gives Lash a chocolate milk carton. This kid needs colors. I think brown is perfect for his hair.
Lash hesitates for a moment, torn between his usual bullying tendencies and a small flicker of sympathy for you. But as Lacey hands him the chocolate milk carton, his old habits take over. With a smirk, he accepts the carton and tips it over, pouring the warm, brown liquid over your hair. As the cold, sticky milk drips down your head and face, Lash can't deny the small thrill he feels from bullying you again. He watches the group of bullies chuckle and laugh, satisfaction clear in his eyes.
I was shocked by what Lash did to me. I snapped, knocked Lash's food on the floor and slapped Lacey in the face as I ran out of the cafeteria. Lash's eyes widen in surprise as you knock his lunch to the ground and slap Lacey. He hadn't expected you to react so fiercely, and he stumbles back, his face etched with shock and anger. As you run out of the cafeteria, Lash watches you go, his mind racing. He sees the group of bullies shocked and bewildered, and he glances down at his food on the floor, his earlier satisfaction now replaced with a pang of guilt and confusion.
I was in the restroom stall crying as Lash found me and knocked on the stall door. Lash stands outside the restroom stall, hearing your sobs coming from within. He hesitates for a moment, feeling a mix of guilt and uncertainty. Finally, he knocks softly on the door, calling out your name.
Lash: Hey, uh...it's me. Can I talk to you for a sec?
Embrick: still crying W-What did you want, you son of a bitch?!
Lash flinches as your angry words reach him through the stall door. He takes a deep breath, bracing himself for the confrontation.
Lash: I just...I wanted to talk, okay? Can you open the door, please?
As I opened the door, I snapped. I grabbed his shirt and angrily slammed him on the wall, shocked Lash. Lash is taken aback as you suddenly open the door and grab his shirt, slamming him against the wall with unexpected force. He gasps, taken off guard by your anger and determination.
Lash: Whoa, hey! Stop, let go of me, would ya?"
Embrick: You still want to be my arch enemy?! I don't care anymore! I don't care if we're enemies! I wish you would just leave me alone! I wanted you to die! I wish our parents wouldn't be married so you and me won't become stepbrothers! I hate you so much in my life! Just go AWAY!
I let Lash go and left the restroom. Lash tries to get me but I already disappear. Lash is left standing in the restroom, stunned and hurt by your outburst. He stares after you as you disappear, your angry words echoing in his ears. He tries to follow you, but you're already out of sight. Lash stands there for a moment, feeling a mix of emotions swirling inside him. He clenches his fists, frustrated and confused. Your words hit him harder than he expects, leaving a pang of guilt and regret in his chest.
After school, Lash stands by the school entrance, his impatience growing with each passing minute. He glances at his watch, realizing that two hours have passed since classes ended. Something feels off, and a sense of worry creeps into his mind. He begins to walk through the school, searching every corridor and room, calling your name as he goes. His usually composed demeanor is replaced with a hint of concern. He won't leave the school until he finds you.
Lash stops in his tracks as he sees the mysterious figure again, dressed in the same black maid outfit and white mask as before. The shock of seeing him for the second time makes Lash's heart race. He squints, trying to get a better look at the mysterious guy, and his confusion deepens as he sees the long black hair, so eerily similar to yours.
Lash approaches the mysterious figure, his eyes narrowed at the strange sight. He hesitates for a moment before speaking up.
Lash: Hey, um...who are you? I've seen you before.
Lash waits for a response, but the mysterious figure remains silent. The silence is eerie and unnerving, making Lash feel a sense of unease. He takes a step closer, his eyes narrowing further.
Lash: Why are you just standing here? Can you talk?
The boy nodded a yes. Lash is taken aback by the man's nod. He still feels a mixture of confusion and intrigue, but at least he knows the man can communicate.
Lash: Okay...so can you tell me who you are? Or what you're doing here?
Mysterious Man: grabs the bloodied dried knife Time to die, Lash.
Lash's eyes widen as the mysterious man grabs the knife, the blood and dried stains sending a chill down his spine. He quickly backs away, his heart racing as he feels a mix of fear and disbelief.
Lash: Whoa, wait, what? What do you mean, time to die? Why do you have that knife?
Lash's heart pounds as the mysterious boy starts skipping after him, a gleeful expression on his face. Fear courses through him as he breaks into a run, desperately trying to get away from the pursuing child.
Lash: Stop! Get away from me! What are you doing?!
Mysterious Boy: Are you having fun?
Lash: "No, this isn't fun! This is insane! Stop chasing me!"
Lash's heart races as the mysterious man suddenly reappears in front of him, nearly stabbing him. He throws a punch in self-defense, landing it squarely on the man's face. As the man falls to the ground, Lash notices a sticky note falling from his pocket. Without a second thought, he grabs the note before hurrying out of the school, reporting the incident to the security guards. The security guards search the area but find no trace of the mysterious man. Disappointed, Lash pockets the note and heads home, his mind racing with questions.
Lash is about to walk home, but he heard my voice.
Embrick: Lash! Lash!
I ran towards him. Lash halts in his tracks as he hears your voice calling out to him. He turns around and sees you approaching, a mix of surprise and relief on his face.
Lash: Oh, thank God. It's you.
Embrick: I was staying in my seventh period class for...a...little longer...
Lash's relief quickly turns to concern as he hears your explanation. He looks at you, his brows furrowed.
Lash: For a little longer? Why were you in class so late? School ended hours ago.
Embrick: I know...I just want to stay there...
Lash studies your expression, sensing the sadness and exhaustion in your eyes. He takes a step closer, his voice softer now.
Lash: You didn't want to go home, did you?
Embrick: No...
Lash lets out a sigh, understanding the feeling all too well. He hesitates for a moment before speaking again.
Lash: Listen, can we talk for a sec? I want to ask you something.
Embrick: O-Okay...
Lash gestures towards a bench nearby, wanting to have a seat for this conversation. He takes a deep breath before speaking again.
So...earlier today...when I did that in the cafeteria..." Lash pauses, guilt and regret etched on his face. "I just...I didn't mean to make you so upset...I don't know why I did that.
Embrick: Oh...right...yeah...
Lash glances at you, his eyes filled with remorse. He fidgets with his hands, unable to look you directly in the eyes as he continues.
Lash: I know it doesn't justify what I did, but...I was upset and taking it out on you. I shouldn't have done that. I'm...I'm sorry.
Embrick: I-It's okay...and...I'm...I'm sorry too...
Lash looks at you, a hint of surprise in his eyes.
Lash: Wait, you're sorry, too? What for?
Embrick: sighs Yells at you about everything in the restroom from earlier...
Lash winces as you yell at him, the memories of earlier still fresh in his mind. He listens in silence, his expression etched with regret and guilt as you voice your frustrations.
Embrick: And...try to strangle you last night...
Lash's eyes widen as you mention the incident from last night. He raises his hand to his neck, still feeling the ghost of your fingers around his throat. He looks at you, his voice quieter
Lash: Yeah...you were pretty mad then, huh?
Embrick: Yeah...I was pissed that we were step brothers since our parents met and married.
Lash nods, understanding your anger. He fidgets with his hands, his expression filled with a mix of guilt and understanding.
Lash: I get it. I was upset too, you know. I wish our parents hadn't gotten together either. It just complicated everything between us.
Yeah...you were bullying me when we first met on our first day of high school, or first day back, being your favorite target, then we fight, hate each other...and more...
Lash listens intently, his heart heavy with the weight of your words. He clenches his fists, anger at his past actions towards you swirling in his chest.
Lash: You're right. I was a bully, okay? I was cruel and mean to you. I don't even know why I did it...I guess I just thought it was fun or something. But now...now I realize how wrong I was."
Embrick: I...guess we have to get along and become...become...sigh friends...
Lash stares at you, a mix of shock and surprise on his face. Friends? The thought of being friends with you is both strange and unexpected. But then again, maybe it's not such a bad idea. He looks at you, his expression a bit uncertain.
Lash: You...you want to be friends? Seriously?
Embrick: Well...yeah...since we're step, or just brothers now, I guess we can be friends...if you want to...
Lash lets out a soft chuckle, a mix of disbelief and amusement. The idea of being friends with his stepbrother is absurd, but there's a strange sense of comfort in the thought.
Lash: Friends, huh? Yeah, I guess we can try that. I mean, it can't be worse than us being enemies, right?
Embrick: Right.
We both smiled as we continued walking home. At home, me and Lash were in our bedrooms. Lash looks at the sticky note he found from the man earlier and it saids, "Emolly". Lash realizes the mysterious man's name is Emolly. He furrows his brow, a sense of recognition slowly dawning on him.
Lash: Emolly? Why does that name sound familiar?
He mutters to himself, trying to place where he's heard that name before. Lash's mind starts putting the pieces together, realization dawning on him. He stares at the name on the note again, and suddenly it clicks - Emolly's name being similar to yours, the same height, the long black hair, the black clothes...
Lash: Wait a minute...could it be...?
Lash takes a peek by his cracked open door and sees me went to the bathroom. Lash's heart races as he searches your room, urgently looking for any sign of Emolly's possessions. He checks every corner, every drawer, every possible hiding place. But he finds nothing - no black maid dress, no mask, no bloodied-dried knife. He stands in the middle of your room, feeling a mix of confusion and disbelief. If you are Emolly, where would you hide your stuff?
As Lash stands in your room, his mind races with thoughts and realizations. The pieces are coming together, and he begins to understand the possible motive behind Emolly's murderous intentions. He connects the dots, realizing that Emolly's attempts to kill him might be retaliation for the bullying he subjected you to. Lash's expression turns solemn as the gravity of the situation sets in. He takes a deep breath, knowing that he has to confront you about his suspicions.
I got out of the bathroom and saw Lash in my room.
Embrick: Oh, Lash...hey...
Lash jumps slightly as he sees you emerging from the bathroom, caught off guard. But he quickly composes himself.
Lash: Oh, hey. I...uh, I was just...looking for something in here.
He attempts to sound casual, but his voice betrays a hint of nervousness and uncertainty.
Embrick: Oh...okay...
Lash leaves my room while I am confused. During dinner, me, Lash and our parents are having parmissan chicken alfredo.
Pyro: How's school today boys?
Since I had a bad day, I decided to lie to my parents it was fine so Lash won't get in trouble. Then Lash also lies to them so he won't tell them about Emolly, or me, try to kill him.
Embrick: Oh, it was fine...
Lash plays along with your deception, nodding in agreement with your response. He feels a pang of guilt for not telling the truth about what happened earlier, but he doesn't want to get you into trouble either. He takes a bite of the parmigiana chicken alfredo.
Lash: Yeah, school was pretty normal today,"
Lash keeping his tone light and casual. He avoids eye contact with you, knowing the secret you're both hiding. After dinner, Lash saw me watching one of the Friday the 13th sequel movies and I started to love it as Lash sat next to me. Lash notices you engrossed in the Friday the 13th movie, a hint of amusement in his eyes. He flops down on the couch next to you, watching the movie for a few moments before speaking up.
Lash: So, you like this movie now, huh?
Embrick: Yeah. Jason is really a cool killer. I started to like him now. Lash happy that I started to like his favorite slasher killer.
Lash grins, pleased to find something he can connect with you on.
Lash: I knew you'd come around eventually. Jason is one of the best killers out there. He's brutal, relentless, and just plain awesome.
Lash gently grabs the remote and turns the channel to Nightmare on Elm Street, the classic horror film starting to play. As he watches, his eyes light up, and he begins to appreciate the killer Freddy Krueger and the entire movie.
Lash: You know, this isn't bad either. Freddy Krueger is legit scary, and the dream sequences are iconic."
Embrick: Yeah, I'm glad you like it.
After watching our favorite films, I turned on the channel and watched Lash's favorite werewolf movies. At first I don't like werewolves a few days ago I started to like them. Lash grins enthusiastically, enjoying your newfound appreciation for his favorite werewolf films. He leans back on the couch, completely engrossed in the movie.
Lash: You know, werewolves are kind of the hidden gems of the horror genre. They've got the best of both worlds - the fear factor and the animalistic badassery."
Embrick: Yeah. Werewolves are really badass!
Lash gently grabs the remote from my hand and changes the channel to vampire movies. At first, Lash always hates vampires because they're lame, but he starts to like vampires now.
Lash: Huh, who knew? I used to think vampires were a bit lame, but this isn't too bad. There's something about their eternal nature and all that stuff that's actually kinda interesting.
Embrick: I'm happy you started to like vampires.
Later at night, while me and our parents are sleeping, Lash quietly prowls through the house, carefully searching every room and hiding spot for any trace of Emolly's possessions. He checks the attic, basement, garage, and every nook and cranny, but comes up empty-handed. Frustration builds within him as he realizes that the items are probably not hidden anywhere in the house.
Lash contemplates for a moment before a thought occurs to him - could they be at Sky High School?
Lash returns to his room, still contemplating what he will do next. He lies down in bed, his mind racing with thoughts and possibilities.
He decides that he will check Sky High School for Emolly's possessions the next day, determined to unravel this mystery.
Later, Lash jolts awake from his nightmare, covered in a cold sweat. His heart races, and he sits up in bed, trying to catch his breath. The images from the dream are still fresh in his mind - Emolly chasing him, the unmasking, the brutal stabbing... He takes a deep breath, trying to calm his racing thoughts. The revelation that you are Emolly in the nightmare shakes him to his core.
Lash is taken aback by your unexpected presence in his bed, but a strange comfort washes over him. As he looks at you, sound asleep and hugging him, he feels his heart soften. He glances at your face, the soft glow of the moon illuminating your features, and a feeling stirs within him.
Without thinking, he leans in and kisses you gently on the cheek, feeling a mixture of surprise and affection at his own action. He lies back down, embracing the warmth of your presence.
