Ashley woke up the next day in the middle of Stephen's house. She groaned.
Kat and Ana were snoring and 9-Volt was playing video games while Stephen and Haiku attempted to clean up.
"Hey, Lucy, I met Wednesday Addams." Haiku says.
"Really?" Lucy asked.
"Yeah, next year we have to see her house. It will be the ultimate Halloween." Haiku says as Lucy smiled a bit as Ashley sighed.
"Oh, Shane, you have to come to our potluck on Thanksgiving." Penny says
"I'll think about it. I was asked to be in the Macy's parade again this year." Shane says.
"Oh." Penny says. "What kind of parade is that?"
He explained. Penny then got excited about it and couldn't wait to see Shane on a parade float in New York.
Soon, everyone was preparing, because on November 6th, it would be ANH time. Emma wanted to cheer Pam on. Luke was unsure of whether he wanted to compete or not.
"I'm going to perform." Shane says. "You really rocked it during the summer tour, Luke."
"Oh, yeah, the 5 of us are a team and we got a cheerleader! We're unstoppable!" Pam says but Rachel gives a glare.
"Luke, how'd you like to join our team?" Rachel says as Pam gasped. Rachel still held a grudge with Pam.
"I'm your sister!" Pam says.
Luke didn't know what to do. He fled the room, sobbing.
"Luke!" Rachel says.
She soon finds him. "Do you just want to sit this season out?" She asked.
"I DON'T KNOW!" Luke sobbed.
Luke went home in tears. It was clear he didn't want to be bothered.
The Foxes came to see Emma cheerleading. Rachel felt bad as she watched.
"I really want to team up with Luke." Rachel says.
"Maybe he needs to have some time to think." Luan says.
Ashley came home, groaning as she had a headache.
"That was some party…" 18-Volt says.
"I feel sick " Ashley says she went loose on Halloween.
"Ashley, are you okay?" 5-Volt asked, knowing it must have been hard for Ashley to be at a party, especially one hosted by Luke and Stephen.
"Mom…I…" Ashley says as her face was covered with chocolate and sweet markers.
"You did your best, honey. You don't have to attend the potluck if you don't want to." 5-Volt says.
"I want to attend it." Ashley says. "I don't have any family to see on Thanksgiving or Christmas."
5-Volt pitied Ashley; she never even had a Christmas.
With Luke, he thought of the show. What did he want to do? Did he want to perform on ANH again or did he just want to skip it? It was a hard decision. He thinks about it. He knew the show would lose ratings without him and Shane really needed him.
He sighed. "I'll do it. But only because Rachel and Shane need me. Nothing more." Luke says.
"So who are you choosing? Us or Luke?" Oliver asked Rachel. Rachel just thinks.
"Luke needs me…" She says. "But so do you guys…I just don't know!"
Rachel just runs off in tears.
"She should choose me or I'm not entering." Oliver says, wanting to team up with his siblings.
Mona was rehearsing with Mugman and her band.
"We're so good!" Mugman says.
"I know." Mona says, smiling.
Mona notices he has gotten a bit taller. He was dressed in a charcoal gray sweater with a letter jacket sporting an "M" for Mugman over it, blue skinny jeans, and sporty blue sneakers with some white and silver trim. His handle was a bit shinier, he was filled with coconut milk, and his straw was a bit straighter. He also had a prizewinning smile that could rival Oliver's. Mona saw how loosened up he looked and how he wasn't as uptight. She smiled at her boyfriend's current appearance and blushed.
"You…you look hot." Mona says, not taking her eyes off of Mugman.
With Penny, she noticed Shane looking upset.
"Shaney, why are you upset?" Penny asked.
"I think Luke may join Oliver's team. They discussed kicking Pam out." he says.
"Who said I was joining that team?" Luke asked, approaching the couple.
"Rumors." Shane says.
"This team's gotta stick together!" Luke says and hugs Shane.
"You 5 should stick together." Emma says to the Foxes. "You can't ditch one another. Don't put yourselves on the Louds' level."
They think about it. They always did better together.
"Pam, Rachel, put your differences aside and work together on this show." Skylia says.
It was just them, Luke's team, and Mona's band that would be in the show so far. Randy stopped caring about ANH and Tina wanted to go on Audition with Savannah.
On November 3rd, rehearsals began for ANH. Remy was entering the show with Garrett and Beau. This was discussed fervently and Gemma accepted their entry.
Garrett was actually wheelchairless for a change. He had gone through physical therapy so he could finally ditch the wheelchair. And today, he passed the final physical test after he was able to stand up and walk on both feet without stumbling or losing his balance.
Everyone was happy for him, especially Forest. He had planned a dinner party at Giovanni Chang's Italian-Chinese Bistro for the ANH teams to celebrate Garrett's full recovery.
It was going to be exclusively for the teams and the entire Huntington family. Garrett's girlfriend was invited to this as well.
"I can't. Lori is pretty far along in her pregnancy and I want to support her." Leni says.
"Dude, Bobby exists." Luna says. "And this is an important milestone in our family. Bobby and his family will take care of Lori. She'll be fine."
"We'll support her in spirit, sweetie." Charity says.
"Garrett's a stone!" Leni shrieked. Luna then told her what the word milestone really meant.
"Oh, okay." Leni says, calming down.
"What's Giovanni Chang's?" Penny asked Shane as they got ready to rehearse.
He explained as Penny drooled a bit.
Meanwhile, in Greendale…
"This is the life. No romance, no drama, no aliens, just us." Angry Luigi says.
"Aren't you guys supposed to watch over Royal Woods?" Jason asked.
"We're not heroes. Jitro told us to quit, so we're done." Angry Luigi says.
"Yeah, done." Emma says.
"You can't." Savannah says.
"It's true. You guys can't save Royal Woods. You guys need Oliver and his siblings to bail you out all the time." Mike says.
"No wonder you always drag them along, because you're scared to be heroes and probably make them do all the work and take their credit." Josh teased.
"Not true! We killed that evil green bounty hunter and I took out Frankenstein and I survived years in an alien prison." Delta says.
"I've kicked butt since I was 3, and that was before I met Oliver." Alem tuber says.
Josh took out a camera. "Confess. you cosmic buddies can't actually do anything on your own" Mike says.
"We can. In fact, we're going on a death mission without Luke, Oliver, or anyone else!" Delta says. Angry Luigi froze.
"Death mission?! We can't fight Asyuard! We need our step-siblings! " Emma says, scared.
"No, we don't, we're going to take Asyuard down." Delta says "Without them."
"Care to put your money where your mouths are?" Josh asked.
The cosmic buddies looked at them.
"If you can complete that mission without outside help, then we won't harass you as often. But if outside interference shows up at any time, then you have to confess that you're not real heroes on live TV that will be broadcast all over the multiverse." Mike says. They look at each other.
"So, we just have to do this mission without Luke and the Foxes, right?" Angry Luigi asked. Mike nodded.
"Remember, your hero status is on the line." Josh says as they got into the ship.
"Should we get Team Real's help?" Sal asked.
"They're not allowed." Mike says. "No outside help. Unless you want to start confessing now and save us the trouble of recording it later."
"Let's do this." Delta says.
"Fine, only so my step-siblings can possibly forgive me." Emma says.
The cosmic buddies soon head off on their mission.
With Luke, he was getting ready for the dinner later that evening. It was one of the most important dinners in Royal Woods. But it was exclusively for the ANH teams and the entire Huntington family. And Garrett's girlfriend.
"Girls and boys, be on your best behavior. No fighting, no snide comments, no acting out, no asking when the food will be served, and no complaints. Tonight is a really special night for our family." Charity told Kat, Ana, and the siblings. "And no ninja stuff tonight, girls."
"I'm not wearing a dress. Plus someone needs to watch over Royal Woods." Kat says.
"Then you'll be doing it." Charity told her. "No one else is free tonight."
"No, maybe we can get Ashley to do it." Ana says.
Soon, they arrive at Giovanni Chang's Italian-Chinese Bistro. The dinner party itself was taking place in the restaurant's private event room.
The Foxes were in their nicest outfits and made an entrance, smiling at Garrett.
"So nice of you to make it!" Charity says.
Mona, Mugman, Art, and Deco enter next as Mona was admiring the restaurant's atmosphere.
"I like this a lot!" Mona says.
Remy and Beau came in, greeting and congratulating Garrett. Garrett smiled and hugged them.
Penny entered with Shane, smiling.
"Congratulations, Garrett." Penny says.
"Thank you, Penny." Garrett says.
Soon, the dinner party began as most everyone was just sitting and chatting with one another. Luke was sitting with Rachel as her siblings sat at a different table entirely.
"How does it feel?" Penny asked Garrett.
"It feels really amazing. I'm so happy that I can finally walk and dance and do all the things my friends can do!" Garrett says.
Later, Garrett decided to try dancing. Kylie took his hands and smiled as they walked onto the dance floor.
Gemma opened her mouth to say something, but Charity knew what she was about to say and stopped her from announcing it, knowing this night would end up ruined if it was announced now.
After a bit, Garrett sat back down and took a few sips of sparkling water.
"You're a good dancer, Garrett." Remy says as Garrett grinned.
With Ashley, she had agreed to patrol Royal Woods due to Kat and Ana having to be at the dinner party. She looked annoyed as she never considered herself a hero, but she was doing this for her friends.
At the party, the food was served and everyone was eating the dishes they liked best. Garrett just stared at his plate and ate very slowly.
"Something wrong, son?" Forest asked. "You know you can tell me anything."
"It just doesn't feel like my night anymore, Dad." Garrett says. "I think I just want to go home now."
"Are you sure?" Forest asked, putting an arm around his son.
"If she's gonna make her damn announcement, just get it over with!" Garrett was close to tears at this point as he just walked out of the room with Remy at his heels. Everyone pitied him.
"Good news, in about 9 hours the cosmic buddies may lose and confess they're frauds and you Foxes aren't allowed to help." Mike says.
"Oh, great" Skylia groaned.
"You can't help, either." Mike says with a teasing smile as Skylia growls.
"Excuse me, did we invite you?" Charity asked Mike and Josh. "You weren't on the list."
"No, we came to tell Brandy's family that the cosmic buddies are about to fail." Mike snickered as they left.
Ashley wrapped up a bunch of bad guys, turned them into clocks, and put them in boxes as gifts for 9-Volt and 18-Volt.
Garrett sobbed in the bathroom as Remy stood outside the stall he was in.
"If all they're here for is for Gemma's baby announcement, this may as well be her stupid baby shower!" Garrett growled. "I thought this was my night!"
Garrett then cried in the stall.
"I hate Gemma because she stole my night from me!" Garrett sobbed.
Forest glared at Gemma, hardly believing that a kind TV show host like herself would be a spotlight thief.
"Something tells me that she's getting arrested." Lucy says.
"Miss Gemma, why would you announce this on my son's special night?" Forest asked her.
"I'm sorry! I was just so excited about having a kid, I couldn't wait. I guess I really should have waited to announce it." Gemma says.
"This wasn't the time to do it. Now my son is probably going to leave his own celebration. Because you couldn't wait and do it another day." Forest says. "You stole his spotlight."
"I didn't mean to!" Gemma cried.
"There are times and places to make announcements like that. This wasn't the time or the place. You really made Garrett feel less special when everyone flocked over to you and congratulated you on your pregnancy." Forest says.
"How can I fix this?" Gemma asked
"Give Garrett an automatic pass to the finals." Lisa says.
"Or just fix this night and make it better for him." Luke says.
She had Luke and his group prepare a show for Garrett. It was time to make things right.
Garrett was fuming outside the restaurant now as Remy was next to him. They then looked in the window.
"Look at them in there, Remy. Just flocking to her and asking her all kinds of questions about her baby…" Garrett says coldly. "It's pretty clear who they'd rather celebrate!"
"It's disgusting. Just disgusting." Remy says.
Later, Lucy leads them inside the restaurant as there were pictures of Garrett.
"Oh, my goodness…" Garrett says, surprised. "All the pictures of me overcoming my challenges at physical therapy…you guys…"
Everyone smiled at Garrett as Luke, Penny, and Shane started their show. Garrett just watched, speechless. Then he saw the part where he felt mocked as Shane had pretended to be him at a therapy session where he struggled. He thinks that this was mocking his physical struggles.
"It's not a mockery." Lisa says.
"Sure feels like it." Garrett says.
Lisa explained what they were really doing. Garrett teared up and walked over to his gift table, grabbing the bat Remy got him, still feeling mocked.
"Who's ready to see what my struggles were really like on live targets?!" Garrett screamed.
"Okay, Luke, stop." Gemma says.
"I ASKED A QUESTION!" Garrett screamed.
"No one is!" Lana says.
"I'm scared…" Ana says.
"You think mocking me is funny?! You think my physical struggles were a joke?!" Garrett shouted.
"No!" Luke says, burning the bat. Garrett tackled Luke to the ground as everyone gasped.
Luke kicked him off. "Dude, it was a history show of your struggles." He says.
Garrett was shaking. "I…I…thought you…were mocking me…" Garrett sniffed.
Meanwhile, the cosmic buddies arrived, seeing Penny's robots.
"You fell into my trap." Asyuard says as robot Luke walked up
"Metal Pam!" Emma screamed, scared.
"We can take them! This is it, we will prove we're better than Luke and his friends by beating their robots" Delta says as Robot Shane shot a music blast. Chrissy shot a plasma blast, causing a dust cloud.
Emma leaped and rushed towards the Golden Shooter, but Robot Pam and Robot Rachel hit her with a barrage of attacks until Delta came in and started attacking them and shot a purple orb, blasting them away. She charged up another attack.
Robot Garrett, Robot Remy, and Robot Colleen were rushing as Bill gasped as Jason punched the ground, sending them up, right into Delta's second attack
Emila shot magic at Robot Oliver who leaped up and was unleashing magic of his own. Emila teleported behind him and used a magic sword to slash him.
Angry Luigi was rushing as Robot Luke unleashed an elemental storm. Angry Luigi leaped and used his crystal hammer to hammer robot Luke. Robot Luke looked annoyed and shot flames as Angry Luigi leaped aside. He rushed off as Chrissy shot her plasma blasts at Robot Shane, who was dodging and used music attacks, sending Chrissy down.
Alem tuber punched Robot Shane and kicked him and blasted the Golden Shooter. Alex was running towards Robot Griffin, who shot magic at Alex, blasting him away.
Angry Luigi thinks of a power up and takes out a Cloud Flower, becoming Cloud Angry Luigi and goes on a cloud platform.
"You can't win. The only way to win is to surpass Luke and his friends which is impossible." Asyuard says.
Alem tuber turned Super Saiyan blue and broke the robot Shane, blasting him into bits, then shot a blast destroying Robot Lonnie and Robot Sal, causing an explosion.
Robot Oliver was sliced in half as Emila panted.
"Robot Luke, use your elemental storm!" Asyuard says as he tries but Delta used her powers to slow down time and sliced him in half, causing an explosion.
"They had no soul. Of course they couldn't win." Savannah says, healing Emma from the big beatdown she took.
"That's it, I'll create more, but this time just Luke Shane and Oliver." he says and pressed a button as what appeared to be a giant fusion of Luke, Shane, Oliver, and Mugman appeared.
"What is that?" Chrissy asked as it used a magical musical elemental storm super art attack, causing a massive explosion.
Angry Luigi was sent to his normal form as only he, Delta, and Alem tuber were up. The others were knocked out.
"We are screwed." Delta says as Angry Luigi took out a star and became star Angry Luigi.
"Oh, I forgot Oliver has magic binds. I wonder if they can deal with a power up" Asyuard says, knowing Oliver and Luke were usually way too OP.
Delta leaped up with Star Angry Luigi as they kicked the giant robot sending it back. Iit used the finger gun, blasting away at them as Angry Luigi's powers ran out.
Alem tuber shot his final flash, but the robot shot another magical music elemental storm super art, blasting Alem tuber, sending him flying back to earth as he crashed
"OOOOOWWWW!" he screamed. Mike and Josh were recording this.
Emma woke up. "Bro?" She asked as the robot shot a flame attack as Angry Luigi took the attack for her and fell down.
"Crud, just me…" Delta says as the robot shoots more attacks. She speeds around.
Bill was secretly hacking into it, planning to have it shut down.
"Finish them already!" Asyuard says, annoyed as Chrissy came too, along with Jason as Jason punched the air, causing a shockwave. Delta spin dashed into it as Bill shut it down
"Did we just win?" Savannah asked, confused.
"I think so. Insanity, let's wreck havoc!" Angry Luigi says unleashing Insanity as Insanity flew towards Asyuard, who leaped towards Insanity.
Meanwhile, Garrett watched the show, arms crossed. He was now silent, not wanting to talk.
"I'm trying here!" Luke says, frustrated Garrett didn't appreciate his efforts.
"Son, don't you like the show they're doing for you?" Forest asked Garrett. He sighed.
"I'm sorry, I truly am." Gemma says.
"Go, Luke!" Ann screamed, clapping.
"It's Luke's night now! Every time he performs, the spotlight ends up on him!" Garrett says.
Garrett growls, annoyed as he storms out.
Robot Garrett fell through the sewer lid as the cosmic buddies were trying hard not to let the ship fall as pieces were falling over Greendale.
"Chaos Control!" Delta says, teleporting the ship to space. The cosmic buddies fell through Sabrina's house.
"What just happened?" Brock asked.
"1, Luke stole the night from Garrett and 2, well I think the Cosmic buddies won." Kali says.
"We won!" Sal says.
"You cheated! You weren't supposed to win!" Mike says.
"Keith recorded everything. He's our camera guy and there were no Foxes or Luke in sight." Emma says, wounded as heck.
"Well, the real ones weren't around." Bill says.
Garrett had nothing to say to Luke or any of his family.
"I think I get into more trouble than I should. I'm starting to hate it." Lucy says.
"We asked for one night. One night! And you kids couldn't keep your behavior in check!" Charity screamed.
"Is this because I cheered for Luke?" Ann asked.
"Wait, huh?" Leni asked as Lola came out of the bathroom, having put make-up on herself and cleaned her dress after Lana ruined it.
"Hey, what's going on?" Lola asked
"Garrett's spotlight was stolen again." Luna says.
"Well, Delta did say that Luke and Shane can steal anyone's spotlight by being themselves, " Kali says.
"NOT THE POINT!" Charity screamed.
Kali's mom got in front of her. "Don't scream at my kid."
"Why did your kids even come to this party? They weren't on the list, either." Forest says.
"Actually, we're competing this season." Kali says.
"Plus I'm a Luke fan." Ann says.
Garrett was wailing outside the restaurant. His night had been ruined yet again.
The Adventure Kids rush out and see littered robot pieces..
"Shane's head, why?!" Penny sobbed
"The cosmic buddies destroyed your science fair project, Penny." Shane says. Penny was now livid.
Asyuard coughed and groaned as he got in Lisa's spaceship.
"You haven't seen the last of me! I'll be back with a better robot! I'll-"
Boom!
"Hasta la vista, baby!" Delta says.
"No one messes with Shane or my babies!" Penny says, angry.
"They were stolen, Penny. Honestly, you need a better password. Besides, they could have caused you to get hurt, if not destroyed." Bill Says.
"Fair point. I'm sorry I accused you guys of something beyond your control. Besides, Lisa and I will build the 5th Shane-bot." Penny says.
Garrett was mad as he just kicked the air and felt upset.
Savannah came. "Hey, Garrett, Congratulations on walking and moving and too many things I can't list." Savannah says. She held a cake, a banana mango cake. Garrett sniffed and looked down at his feet.
"My family and my friends were supposed to celebrate this moment, but it turned into a night of pregnancy announcements, mockery, and God knows what else!" Garrett cried.
"Luke stole your spotlight, didn't he?" She asked.
"Yes!" Garrett screamed. "Luke is a spotlight hog!"
Charity frowned at Luke. "What have I told you about stealing others' spotlights?" She asked him, arms folded as she glared at her son. "I told you to not do this on Garrett's night! And you went and did it anyway!"
Luke looks down in shame.
"We need to fix this." Shane says.
"How?" Penny asked. "What can we do?"
"We take him to a basketball game." Lucy says, then gives him a cake and piñata.
"What do you want me to do with this stuff?" Shane asked.
"I'll do it myself, and I already bought tickets." Lucy says.
Garrett was feeling very upset with pretty much everyone now. Tears poured from his sapphire blue eyes as he just looked down at his feet. Garrett then put his hands over his face as Forest sat next to him.
"Son, are you okay?" Forest asked Garrett.
"I don't know…" Garrett sniffed. "I really don't know. I thought this was a night of celebration…I guess I was wrong."
Lucy finds him.
"What is it?!" Garrett hissed, still upset. "What do you want?!"
"You wanna see a basketball game?" Lucy asked.
"Oh, yeah, sure." Garrett says, going with Lucy, sadness still in his eyes.
During the halftime show, there was a show for Garrett, who was surprised by it.
Lucy smiled as Garrett finally smiled.
Garrett then saw the cake that said "Garrett's Recovery Got Nothing But Net!" in green icing. He smiled at this. But he then felt a bit disappointed that his birthday was missed.
He thinks of a wish and wishes to never be in a wheelchair again. He then sliced up the cake and ate three pieces of it by himself.
