On Christmas Eve, Lucy helped Luan with dinner. Christmas Eve was different this year for many reasons.
Luna wasn't going to be there because Sam invited her on a ski trip to Aspen and she left yesterday. Charity was going to be working late and wouldn't be home until 8:30 due to some changes with the New Year's Eve celebration she had to discuss with the city council.
Shelby wanted to help Charity, but mayoral stuff was harder than it looked. She saw Luan cooking and wanted to help.
Meanwhile, Savannah was thinking about the design for Luke's dessert display for his 16th anniversary. It had to be perfect. Otherwise, Luke will throw a fit or something much worse.
Soon, Luan finished as Sharon got a text from Shane.
"Will be home a bit later. Ms. Carmichael wants me to be Santa for the kids at the children's hospital, and I said yes. I will try to be home by 8:30 at the latest. Don't worry about how I'm getting home. Ms. Carmichael offered to bring me to the manor." Shane texted.
"Why couldn't they make me Santa? I've done more than him and now he's stealing my fame!" Luke says.
"He offered to be Santa." Leni says.
Luke sulked all through dinner. It wasn't fair that Shane got to do the things that he wanted to do.
"I'm going to the Space Opera Network on the 13th." Luke says.
Lisa was stunned. "You got invited? That's big! Only the best of the Multiverse gets in." Lisa says, happy for him.
"Yeah, and I'm not taking Shane. This will show him what it's like to not let me be Santa." Luke says
"I could have gotten you to be an elf." Leni offered.
"No!" Luke says. "I hate him! I hate him! Aggghhhh! I hate him!"
"Leni, don't you remember? being under Shane was a sensitive topic." Lucy says.
"That job was mine! It was mine and he took it!" Luke screamed. "THAT TEARS IT! I'M GONNA MAKE SURE MOM CANCELS CHRISTMAS IN THIS TOWN!"
Luke storms out of the house before anyone could stop him.
Meanwhile, Emma calls Pam.
"Hi!" Emma says.
"Hey, Emma, what's up?" Pam asked.
"Merry Christmas!" Emma says.
"Well, thank you, Emma." Pam says.
"A mission on Christmas Eve?!" Cynthia groaned.
"We gotta call the cosmic buddies. If we go and try to stop Luke now, he will kill us." Teeders says.
"Okay, let's go save the day." Kali says as they used the cube to teleport to Royal Woods and sees Lana racing after Luke.
"Luke, stop!" Ann says.
"Yeah, this isn't like you." David says.
"Yeah, you're making me do something on Christmas Eve!" Cynthia says.
"Please, you need to calm down." Kali says.
Luke looked away.
"Look, whatever your family did, I'm sure it can be fixed by talking things out." Ann says.
"THEY didn't do anything. It's him I'm mad at! Stupid pretty boy gets to be Santa at the children's hospital while I don't! It was supposed to be my year! My year! But noooo…they chose Shane instead of me!" Luke screamed.
"Luke, not everything needs to be about you." Cynthia says.
"NOBODY UNDERSTANDS LUKE!" Luke hissed.
"So what? You're going to cancel Christmas because your life went downhill?" Brock asked.
"Where are those cosmic buddies?" David asked.
"They said we're on our own." Kali says.
Luke started hissing more. The siblings showed up in uniform and saw that Luke was shedding waterfall-caliber tears, one of his many elemental features.
"Oh, crud muffins…" Kali says.
"This isn't good." David says.
"All he wants is someone to understand him!" Luan says to the group. "He's mad enough as it is!"
At the children's hospital, Shane was a huge hit with the kids. He was giving gifts and taking pictures and he even sang his own rendition of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town. The kids cheered.
Melissa was eating popcorn as Melony frowned. She knew something was up with Luke, but couldn't do anything.
Meanwhile
"Okay, Luke, talk." Kali says. "We'll listen."
Kali sits down on the icy cold water which was slowly beginning to flood Royal Woods.
Luke started talking, and it was obvious that he felt hurt, upset, and jealous.
"You gotta talk to Shane about this." Kali says.
"I tried to!" Luke sniffed.
"Well, we tried. Nothing we can do. Royal Woods is doomed." Cynthia says, wanting to go home.
At 8:30 Kali arrived at the hospital. "Shane, Luke wants to talk to you. Know that the fate of the town, possibly Earth, depends on you being a good listener. If you don't, we're all dead." Kali says
"Kali!" The kids cheered.
"At your service." Kali says.
Shane went out to find Luke.
Meanwhile, Melony was telling Melissa she had a bad feeling.
"Let the Louds handle it." Garrett says.
Shane finds Luke as he looks down. "I'm sorry, Luke, for being Santa this year. I'll never do it again." Shane says.
"I didn't tell you to stop doing it." Luke says. "It just hurt me to see you doing it this year. Then last year, Remy did it. And I still feel jealous and hurt! Then should I mention Garrett was doing it the year before that?! Ugh! It boils me up inside! I've been jealous for three whole years!" Luke cried.
"Next year, I'll let you be Santa." Shane says. He still saw Luke's tears. Shane wasn't sure how to cheer Luke up.
"I'm entering the Space Opera Network without you. It's on the 13th." Luke says. He then flies off, feeling more hurt than ever.
"At least he listened to him." Ann says.
Shane came home. He saw the three trees in the living room, the stockings hung by the fireplace, and the Christmas decorations all over the manor. He saw many gifts piled under one of the trees.
A bunch of them were for Luke and some were for him. Lucy got Luke 5 different gifts just to spoil him.
Kat and Ana were eating and felt left out as no one had talked to them. They saw Shane sitting by his tree.
"Let's go, Ana." Kat says, grabbing her and leaving the house. Ana wordlessly followed.
Luke was flying around town and hissing.
"That is it!" Cynthia says and shoots a sleeping dart, hitting Luke to finally calm him down before he goes with his ruin Christmas plan.
"We are done here." Cynthia says. Kali sighed as they leave.m
Melony stumbled around in the snow. She could not see as the cold affected her feet vision. She managed to trip over a sleeping Luke.
"Luke?" She asked, feeling his face. She felt frozen tears stuck to his face.
"Damn it, help!" Melony screamed out as Lincoln flew down.
"I can't see in this snow. I can't help Luke." Melony says, looking down.
Lincoln took Luke home, then took Melony back to her house.
Lucy felt bad for Luke as she watched him sleep.
At 5:00 a.m. on Christmss morning, Luke woke up.
He opens his gifts from Lucy. She had gotten him new pants, skates, a new outfit, a Blendjet portable blender, and a new phone. He sniffed a bit.
Later that morning, the other siblings were waking up. Lucy was too busy planning for her mom.
Shane sat by his tree, a bit left out. Shiloh gave him his gift, a new microphone. Shane hugged his little brother.
5-Volt smiled as Ashley came downstairs. "Merry Christmas, sweetie. I think this is your first Christmas."
"I hate Christmas." Ashley says. She wanted to help Luke ruin Christmas, but she didn't want her new mother to suffer.
"Open your presents, sweetie." 5-Volt says to Ashley.
Ashley wasn't sure about this as 5-Volt noticed she was nervous. "It's okay." 5-Volt says.
Ashley opens it, seeing a new Switch.
"I don't play video games." Ashley says.
"Oh, silly me! That's not for you! This is!" 5-Volt says, giving Ashley a box. It was a new wand.
"Do you like it?" 5-Volt asked. She nodded.
With Lucy, she was wrapping a gift for Charity.
Shiloh didn't want to celebrate his birthday with a party this year, and even told Sharon and Lance this. They weren't surprised by this as Shiloh preferred to spend his birthdays doing other things besides a party.
Only his 1st, 3rd, and 5th birthdays were celebrated by having parties. It was fair to say that he wanted all his odd-numbered birthdays to be party ones. Even-numbered birthdays were to be saved for experiences like gymnastics, cooking, trips to the zoo or the children's museum, and other things, with just gifts and cake afterwards. Sharon and Lance could live with that, as long as Shiloh was happy.
Shiloh's 2nd birthday was celebrated with a trip to the Petoskey Falls aquarium, which he really enjoyed. And on his 4th birthday, Shiloh got to be part of a preschool gymnastics class at the local children's gym, which he absolutely loved. Now that he was going to turn 6, Sharon and Lance wanted to take him somewhere fun. They sat and thought about it as they watched their kids open gifts.
Luke left after opening gifts. Since a lot of places in town were closed for the holiday, it was a good time for him to walk around town and think. He was thinking about the Space Opera thing and whether he should actually do it just to spite Shane.
"Fine, I'll take Shane." He sighed.
Lucy was writing poems in her room. She didn't like too many social gatherings in the manor and often stayed in her room, in solitude. She found it was better to concentrate this way.
When it was time for Christmas Day dinner, she ate in her room. Charity was fine with this. Luke came home minutes later as dinner had started already.
"Luke?" Shane asked, but Luke walked past him.
"Why are you ignoring me?" Shane asked Luke.
"You know why." Luke says coldly.
