The next day, Shane and the others arrived on a cruise ship.
"Happy birthday, Shane!" They say. Shane sighed, but saw a birthday breakfast buffet and got first servings. He then smiled as he got a grand tour of the cruise ship.
Meanwhile, Chalice woke up.
"Happy birthday, Chalice!" The cups said as they made her a nice breakfast.
"Awww, thanks, ding-dongs." she says.
Meanwhile, Shane got a birthday massage as he smiled. Lucy planned for tommorow and decided to have a broadway theme
In the Inkwell Isles, Cuphead dodged a couple of attacks.
"Of course my birthday gets ruined…" Chalice says as a dragon breathes fire on them.
"Call the cosmic buddies!" Mugman says
"No, we do this alone." Cuphead says they continue to fight as it swooped down and took them by surprise.
Meanwhile, Luke practiced his pageant skills.
"Luke, I need help" Lola says.
"Well, Shane's party won't start for a few hours, so fine. I'm out of shape, too." Luke says.
"When was the last pageant we entered?" Lola asked.
"I don't know " Luke says as they work on pageant stuff.
"Okay, Shane, what do you want to do next?" Sasha asked.
"A lunch date." Shane says. "Just you, me, and Penny."
They head to the cruise ship's nicest restaurant.
Meanwhile, an imp tried to attack Cuphead, who dodged, then a few more try to attack him as he dodged. Cuphead smirked and shot them down.
Mugman punched One as another kicked Mugman sending him back as he was swarmed by 15 imps.
Chalice sighed and used her Super Art as a bunch of spirits attacked the imps.
She sighed. "So much for my birthday…" she says.
"Can you not be selfish and think of Shane?' Cuphead says.
Chalice begins to boil and shoots hot milk at some imps.
"At least it's over now." Mugman says.
Begmax's ship landed
"Mugman, never say it's over. Until it's been 30 minutes, it's not actually over. This Happens in movies!" Chalice says.
"More action! Come on, Mugsy, you got jacked for some reason, so you gotta have new tricks!" Cuphead says as Begmax had his Ship begin draining the planet's energy.
"Not good…" Kettle says.
Meanwhile, Penny ordered a salad, wanting to stay healthy. Shane ordered the same.
"Guys, cut loose a little bit. I mean cakes are the opposite of healthy. Besides, if You eat salads, you may feel guilty. Here's my routine…I eat a salad, then exercise, then get loose." Sasha says.
"Clearly you need a new routine, Penny, and I could help you." Shane says.
"Are you trying to assume I don't work out?!" Penny snapped.
"Well, no, not at all…" Shane and Sasha say at the same time.
"Look, I can handle myself physically. I'm sick of people always assuming I have to work out more just because I eat a salad every now and then." Penny says
"You tripped once." Shane says to her.
"In the past…" Penny sighed, trying not to shout anymore to not ruin his day and just keep her feelings to herself.
The others were doing their own thing. Luke thinks of his half-birthday. Shane came back from lunch and walked off to his private cabin, saying nothing.
"We should do something." Lisa says. "He hasn't been very happy all week. And I know he'll probably go after this party and tomorrow's party, too, but that won't stop us from actually trying to make things right."
"Maybe we should give him even more parties." Leni suggests.
"That won't do anything. We need to be a family to him and family doesn't make these special days miserable." Lisa says.
"I think it's because he had to go to school during his birthweek, around people who hurt his feelings." Lily guessed.
"He had to go to school for play tryouts and cheerleading. Skipping wasn't exactly an option." Lisa says.
"So, what's your plan?" Lucy says, arms crossed.
"Our plan is to make things right. How? We're going to work together and figure that out." Lisa says. They think.
"We take him shopping." Leni suggested.
"How will that help make things right?" Luan asked.
"We all somehow messed up. We have to think bigger." Lincoln says. "Shane is our cousin and he didn't deserve a birthweek that he'll end up wanting to forget."
"It's hopeless. We have no idea what to do and something will just ruin it." Lucy says.
"Do I hear the sound of my cousins giving up?" Shelby asked.
"Guys, please, Lucy just lost her friends and is under a lot of stress, she isn't exactly the cheery type. She just needs time. Besides, she feels like she fails Luke every year." Leni says.
"We give him a show. If that fails, then Lincoln should probably come up with a better plan." Lola says.
Shane just blocks out everyone and everything, ignoring the activity on the ship. Penny comforts him.
"This has been a horrible birthweek…" Shane sniffed. "I just feel…bad."
They soon began decorating, using his favorite colors. They put balloons and stuff around the ship.
"I hope this works." Lori says.
"Like anything you plan actually works. Besides, you're all horrible siblings." Luke glared at Lucy frowned.
"I'm planning a show that is better than yours." Luke says.
Luan starts cooking lunch as Lucy looks down. "I failed Luke and I made Shane miserable "
"Garrett ruined it because of that movie and how he was so full of himself. He couldn't handle Shane getting the spotlight, so he had to deliberately ruin this week for Shane." Luan says.
"I say we hijack the movie on Sunday." Lola says.
"Cut Garrett out of the movie, or better yet, cancel it." Rusty says.
"That's a bad idea. We could be in trouble, and I doubt Mom being mayor would be enough, considering she wouldn't be able to, you know, do mayor things in somewhere that isn't hers. Besides, we don't want any trouble" Lisa says
"THEN I WON'T ACT EVER AGAIN!" Shane screamed from his room.
"We need to cancel the movie and that means one thing, fight the cosmic buddies." Lisa says, knowing they wouldn't want the movie cancelled.
"Okay, enough movie talk." Leni says, knowing the movie talk was making Shane upset. But Shane was already upset. The movie talk wasn't making him upset. It was the fact that Garrett ruined the week.
"Stay out of this, Leni." Lisa says.
Soon, Cuphead and Mugman were knocked back as Windy shot wind at them as Chalice went in her ghost mode and took over Windy's body and shot wind at Speedyquick and Flameshooter, blowing them aside.
"You can't win!" Begmax says, slapping Windy's body as Chalice flew out as Begmax shot ectoplasm, trapping Chalice
Cuphead used his super art, blasting Begmax as he was knocked back. Cuphead leaped and tried to attack, but Begmax grabbed his fists and grabbed his handle and tore it off and tossed him aside.
Mugman punched him and kicked him.
"I see being friends with Luke must have granted you extra powers. It's not enough." Begmax says. Mugman starts punching and kicking him and shoots his peashooter at Begmax, who shoots electric blasts of plasma. Mugman barely dodged as he rushed towards Begmax, who kicked Mugman.
Chalice rushed and kicked Begmax and hit him with a flurry of attacks and used her super art, sending him flying.
Aquashooter blasted her with water as Chalice was sent flying, but Mugman knocked him out and attacked his guards.
Meanwhile, Kettle was making pancakes as the fight went on in the background.
Shane was training alone, ranting about how this week went for him. He angrily shot music notes and his attacks at the balloon dummies he made.
"The party is in 1 hour, so be here on time." Lincoln says as the others go off to do their thing.
Meanwhile, Mona was at work as she was finishing up and called Mugman, who didn't call back.
"Young Cricket, I think Mugman is in trouble. I know Shane and Luke won't help now, so could you and Master Mantis help me find Mugman? Ashley and the twins aren't around." Mona says.
"Of course." Master Mantis says.
They arrive in the Inkwell Isles to see Mugman and Cuphead in a box.
"No!" Mona gasped as she tossed a boomerang at Begmax, who broke it. Master Mantis attacks him, doing no damage. He analyzed the area and got an idea.
"Young Cricket, distract him." Master Mantis says. Young Cricket tried to attack, but Begmax slapped him down.
Begmax tried to attack Young Cricket, who dodged. Master Mantis messed with the system as Begmax lost his powers.
"Hey!" 5-Volt says standing at the door as her body sparked into a lightning bolt. She punched him so hard, his brain was literally fried. She rushed and used her superhuman strength to tear the door open to see the 3 cups in the box as she held Mugman.
"The box…the box…the box…" Mugman was visibly shaking.
"Okay, Mugsy, let's go. Shane needs us more than ever now." Cuphead says.
"Mugman can't go. He's hurt and traumatized." Mona says
"Shane needs him." Cuphead says
"He can go tomorrow. I think he needs a break today." Mona says.
"Shane will be upset." Cuphead says.
"Your sister's birthday is today. Not everything is about Luke and Shane. You guys can't put them above you all the time." 5-Volt says.
"Shane will understand." Mona says as she walks Mugman home.
With Shane he arrives at the party as confetti fell down.
"Happy birthday, Shane!" everyone says, surprising him.
"Awww, you guys…" Shane says.
The Louds started the party off with their show since Luke wouldn't move his timeslot. The show was about them showing how much they loved him. Shane clapped, but sniffed.
Lucy reads him a poem as he just watched. Luan gave him a show as he was just looking on in silence.
"Is this it? Just a bunch of performances?" Shane asked.
A video then shows his best happy moments. Shane looked on and smiled a little. Luna performed his favorite songs. He clapped for Luna once she finished. Lucy reads his favorite poems as he listens.
She soon finished as Lincoln gave a magic show. They soon took out a poster that said Happy Birthday, Shane! We Love You!
"I planned Shane's Broadway party for tomorrow." Lucy says as the siblings froze.
"I love Broadway shows!" Shane says.
Soon, Oliver and his siblings take the stage as they perform a song for Shane, then they do a magical light show for him. Shane was in awe.
Later, Shane opens a gift from Oliver, which is a new hero outfit as he smiles.
Leni had gotten him a Broadway-based birthday suit for tomorrow as Shane loved it. Shane opens Lori's gift, seeing a new phone.
He then saw a gift from Garrett, and opened it hesitantly. It was a keychain of Shane's best moments. Shane puts it away and opens Luke's gift. It was a sculpture of him.
"Best present ever!" he says.
Later, Luke gave Shane a show as Shane loved it better.
After a bit, Shane went to be alone. He wasn't letting anyone follow him. The others let him be.
"Do you think it worked?" Leni asked
"I'm not sure. I think he's still angry with me." Garrett says.
"You need to make things right or we may have to just do another set of birthweek celebrations." Lisa says. Garrett sighed and prepared a show. But Shane had seen a lot of shows today. He had to think of how he could make things right with Shane. It was his fault that Shane had a horrible birthweek. He then enlists the cheer squad, who pitied Shane and wanted to help Garrett fix things.
"I want to have another set." Luke hissed, always wanting more days.
"No Luke, this is about Shane." Lori says.
They managed to write an apology note and made a different fan-made movie about Shane. Not the galaxy phantom one.
Then Garrett uploaded a video of his embarrassing moments on the internet as Shane laughed at this.
"I really am sorry." Garrett says. "I really want to make it all up to you. This week was supposed to be about you and instead I ruined it by talking about that dumb movie and making you feel worse. You didn't deserve to be upset this week."
"I forgive you." Shane sighed sadly.
He just sat on the cruise ship's pool deck, barefoot and in a wetsuit. Soon, everyone was swimming. Shane sat in the pool deck chair, staring down.
"Guys, we gotta do something." Lisa says.
"That show totally sucked." Lola says.
"What should we do? We've tried being gentle. We've tried giving him his space." Luan says.
Shane went onto the stage by the pool and performed his Pity Party song he released this week. Girls were screaming as they watched him.
Meanwhile…
"We'll celebrate another time, Chalice. Mugman is hurting mentally and Cuphead is hurt physically." Kettle says.
"I understand." Chalice says
"The box…they put me back…" Mugman says, broken.
"Don't tell Shane this happened or the spotlight will probably leave him." Chalice says.
"Shane knows about Mugman's PTSD. This is nothing new to him." Kettle says.
Meanwhile, Shane smashed his pinata into pieces as the siblings watched him.
"Why don't we swim?" Penny says, trying to cheer him up.
"My week…my week…" Shane sniffed as he swam.
"We've tried everything. What are we missing?" Oliver asked. "You Louds are horrible people and Luke, you're too busy focusing on your half-birthday to help these idiot Louds. Honestly, I think it would be best if Luke and Shane leave, then they would be happy. You Louds are the real problem." Oliver says. "I thought you could change, but you Louds just can't change. You're all lost causes, just like my ex-stepsiblings."
Lucy thinks. They gave him a show and a massage and activities and Luna even performed. But no matter what they did, Shane only wanted to remember the bad things. Any good thing they did never seemed to matter at all.
Lola took the stage and performed a pageant show for Shane. Shane looked on as he swam. She spelled his name using her ribbon as his eyes lit up.
"Wow!" Shane says.
Soon, it was time to explore the ship, doing the many activities like water sliding, climbing the rock climbing wall, exploring the on-board aquarium, playing shuffleboard, taking in a movie by the pool, and even taking the tango and ballet dancing lessons.
Then there was the ice cream snowball fights and a sculpture-building contest using Lego blocks, which Penny won, building a Lego sculpture of Shane singing. Shane smiled at this and decided to keep it, which Penny allowed.
Later they were eating as Penny feeds Shane.
"So, is this week getting better for you, Shaney?" Penny asked him.
He nods. "A bit." He says.
Later, Luke rolled in a beautifully decorated purple and white cake in on a golden tray
It said Happy 17th Birthday To Our Special Shane! in purple icing. There were 17 toy Shane candle holders holding 17 colorful candles, which were brightly lit. Everyone began to sing as Shane smiled and thought of a wish.
Shane didn't know what to wish for now. All he could wish for was a better birthday next year. It's the one thing he could think about at the moment. He then blew out all the candles and removed the toy versions of himself off the cake.
Later, Penny feeds Shane his cake as he sighed. Luke thinks about Mugman's PTSD.
Post-Credit Scene
"Happy birthday, mommy!" Emma says.
"Awww, thanks, sweetie." Skylia says as Team Real fell through the house onto the cake, messing up the house.
