Chapter 3: Death 3: Ochaco Uraraka

After many of months of training with Izuku going gung-ho for the second half after he learned about the real reason why Toshinori training him.

Granted him getting the quirk was not as grandiose as he thought and was extremally disgusting.

Eating a hair was not something he liked doing for sure.

But still… he now had a quirk and he was ready to take the exam. Even if he really didn't know how activate it.

Still he had a quirk.

"Come Deku stop staring at the school." Said Katsuki walking past him.

"Right!" said Izuku.

Izuku looked at Katsuki, to him ever since that day he asked about whether or not he looked up to him he noticed a stalk change in Katsuki.

He was a foul mouthed hot head but he had gotten that from his mom… so that was different.

But still he was nicer than before and Izuku even trusted him a certain secret to help protect.

(Flashback)

One day after school Izuku ran over to Katsuki.

"Kacchan! I need your help with something." Said Izuku.

"What is it?" asked Katsuki.

"I'/m worried that something might happen to my notebook and there's something very special inside." Said Izuku.

"What?" asked Katsuki.

Izuku flipped to All Might's autograph.

Of course Izuku didn't knew Katsuki knew about but, but at the same time seeing it up close different to Katsuki and only made it real.

"Holy shit is that real?" he asked knowing he should act impressed.

Which was happening somewhat due to once again knowing about.

"All Might saved me from a villain a couple weeks ago… but I'm starting to get more paranoid about our classmates doing something to it." Said Izuku.

"If I see any of the extras try to do something stupid to it, I'll bust their asses!" yelled Katsuki.

Izuku just sweat dropped at Izuku.

It also lead to Katsuki contemplating meeting up with All Might again so that he would sign something for him.

(End of Flashback)

Izuku walked towards the school and then tripped.

"Well… guess I'll die." Thought Izuku.

He didn't die thanks to the fact he started to float.

He was confused.

"Sorry about that." Said voice.

He turned to see a girl with brown hair in a bob.

"I used my quirk on you." Said the girl, "It's bad luck to trip before an exam."

Izuku just stared at her.

"Well any ways I should get going we do have to take the exam, bye!" said girl.

Izuku waved at her happy to have talked to a girl…

Even though he didn't actually talk to her.

Of course he had to take the written exam followed by the practical exam.

But before the practical exam they had to go to Orientation where Izuku and Katsuki sitting next to each other.

There the popular hero Present Mic was the one explaining anything. Though Izuku did squee at the sight of Present Mic.

"I listen to his show every night." He said.

Katsuki just rolled his eyes.

During the explanation Izuku saw that he and Katsuki were placed in different testing grounds.

"It must be to make sure that they can't help their friend from the same school" Said Izuku.

"It doesn't fucking matter." Muttered Katsuki.

Present Mic explained how the exam worked that were three kinds robots that gave points depending on the model.

Though one of the others taking the exam we confused and demanded to know something while also scolding Izuku for his muttering.

Present Mic explained that it was the Zero Pointer which wasn't worth anything and just wasn't obstacle to ignore which pacified the boy.

He gave the school's Motto which was "Go Beyond Plus Ultra."

Also a quote for Napoleon.

Afterwards they were bused to the testing locations which were false cities/.

While getting ready in front of the testing ground Izuku noticed the girl from before looking stressed out.

But before he could pay her back for her kindness earlier, he was stopped by that same boy from earlier.

But then Present Mic announced the am had begun as there was no countdown in real battles.

Unfortunately Izuku was having an extremely hard time killing the robots.

HE didn't know how to use his new quirk and he could tell everyone else was getting a ton of points.

But then the Zero Pointer was unleashed which was not something he expected… it was a massive multi-story robot.

He was going to run away from it but then he saw the girl trapped underneath some rubble.

And he felt his legs move on their own as he also finally powered his new quirk thinking of some advice All Might had given him easier… not good advice.

He jumped high into the air and delivered a huge punch destroyed the robot.

Unfortunately the punch and jump shatter the bones in his legs and arm.

And he began to fall.

Below the girl watched him all in horror feeling like she was unable to do something. And he smashed into the ground, killing Izuku instantly.

She started to cry as Present Mic called time.

However in the control room they got the alert.

There had been a fatality.

"Oh death…" said the Principal of the school, Nezu some sort of animal that had a quirk that gave him super intelligence.

"No…" said Toshinori who was also in the control room.

"Alert Mic now! He needs to give the announcement!" said a hero who looked frankly like a Hobo.

With Present Mic he had heard.

"I have announcement to make. There has been a filiality in testing ground B… please remain at your testing site until one of UA teachers show up to escort you to another location." Announced Present Mic in a somber tone.

In his testing ground surrounded by the corpses of many robots, Katsuki stood in horror remembering that the testing ground Izuku was sent to.

Back in testing ground B, several people unearthed the girl who was crying her eyes out.

And no one could blame her.

She had just watched the boy give his life to save her.

The school nurse an older heroine by the name of Recovery Girl visited her first. Used her quirk on her (as her leg was busted) and took her to the infirmary.

In Katsuki's testing ground he waited for any news.

"Would Katsuki Bakugo please come the entrance." Said a robotic voice.

Katsuki's eyes widened.

"No… not again." He thought.

He was asked by some of the heroes if he knew Izuku Midoriya well enough.

"We fluking grew up together!" he yelled.

"This isn't a time to yell." Said one of the heroes.

"HE fucking died! Of course I'm yelling!" yelled Bakugo.

He was taken to some sort of waiting room and soon Inko crying her eyes out.

"Aunty." Said Katsuki.

Inko just hugged him crying.

She then took his hand.

"There's someone in the infirmary I need to talk to." Said Inko.

Katsuki was confused until they got to the itinerary and he saw a the girl shaking in the bed.

"Excuse me…" Inko held back her tears, "Are you Ochaco Uraraka?"

The girl named Ochaco looked at Inko and quickly realized who Inko was remembering the green haired boy saved her.

"I am… I'm so sorry!" cried Ochaco.

Inko hugged the poor girl.

"He saved your life…" cried Inko, "I'm not going to blame you."

Ochaco cried even more at this.

Katsuki gritted his teeth and left.

"I'm going home." Said Katsuki.

"Stay safe Katsuki." Said Inko.

Katsuki didn't say anything and left as he left he saw Toshinori.

"He fucking died again." Said Katsuki.

"I know…" said Toshinori looking down.

"Whatever…" muttered Katsuki.

He headed home and went to bed not caring about what was going at UA.

Decided to process everything the next day.

He soon woke up to two alarms.

IT was something he set up for safety for the exam.

One of the alarms was on his cell phone. He looked at the date and of course.

"FFFFFUUUUUCCCCKKKK!" yelled at the top of his lungs.

He saw that he was had went back in time again.

"Katsuki!" yelled Mitsuki.

"Now's not the time!" yelled Katsuki.

He got dressed and head to "trash beach" as fast as her could.

Well it couldn't be called trash beach anymore.

He saw how beautiful it was.

"He did…" said Katsuki in awe.

He had to say he was very impressed.

He found Izuku and All Might.

He hung from distract as usual, but he could see All Might had saw him.

He shrug down to Toshinori when Izuku left to get ready to for the exam.

"It fucking happened again." Said Katsuki.

"I know." Sighed Toshinori.

Katsuki gritted his teeth.

"UI didn't have the heart to change anything." Sighed Toshinori.

"WHAT!" yelled Katsuki.

"Young Midoriya put so much work into this…it would have shattered him if I prevented anything." Said Toshinori.

Katsuki gritted his mostly because he had to agree.

"However the fuck are we going to save him." Said Katsuki.

"I was in the control room of the exam." Said Toshinori, "I can't say why. But I think if I alert them to the possible malfunction that put Young Uraraka's life in danger."

""Damn it." Muttered Katsuki, "Why did is this happening again."

"I don't know." Sighed Toshinori, "But Inko is well too forgiving…"

(Flashback)

Toshinori placed his head towards the floor in apologize.

"Mr. Yagi you should 't be to blame… you gave my son a chance." Cried Inko, "Besides Izuku would be happy to save another, you know this."

"But…" said Toshinori sitting up.

"Please… it was an accident… they told me that robot malfunctioned." Cried Inko.

Toshinori's eyes widened.

"We didn't know this would happen." Cried Inko.

Toshinori stayed silent… feeling guilty, even with Ochaco there.

(End of Flashback)

"She's is very forgiving… unless you truly fuck up." Muttered Katsuki.

However that was when he realized.

"Wait… "Inko"?" asked Katsuki.

"Wait… I realized I should get your number!" said Toshinori changing the subject.

He had heard how fiercely protective the Bakugo family was of Inko it made sense he would get feral.

"You want my number?" asked Katsuki.

He gave him his phone. Toshinori noticed the face he was giving.

It was like he presenting the face of "I don't care" but inside he could tell he was squeeing for giving the All Might his phone number.

"I'll try to get in contact with you after the exam, but no promises." Said Toshinori.

Katsuki nodded as he was handed back his phone.

Sometime later Ochaco was walked to UA trying not to freak out.

Why?

Because she remember the previous day… or rather what should have been the previous day…

"That was a dream right… it had have been a dream… it wasn't real." She thought to herself.

Nearby Izuku marveled at the entrance this time Katsuki was by his side.

However Izuku once again tripped.

At the same time Ochaco once again saw someone trapped at the entrance.

Ran over and use her quirk on him.

"Sorry for using my quirk." She said.

And that was when she got a good look at him and she froze.

She recognized Izuku.

"Tripping is a probably a bad omen… I should go… we have an exam to take." Said Ochaco

She ran inside trying not to freak out.

Katsuki looked at her reaction like she wasn't trying to freak out.

"I talked to a girl!" cheered Izuku.

"No you didn't!" yelled Katsuki.

Katsuki then headed inside knowing he had to talk to her at least.

Inside Ochaco was watching her face trying to avoid a panic attack.

"What is going on… it had to be a dream… right?" she thought.

She took a breath let the bathroom where Katsuki was waiting for her.

She recognized him from the day before.

"Is time repeating for you too?" asked Katsuki.

"What?" asked Ochaco.

"Is time repeating for you too?" asked Katsuki again more irritated.

Ochaco's eyes widened.

"It is." Said Ochaco.

Katsuki sighed.

"You got caught in a time quirk… and you weren't the only one." Said Katsuki.

Ochaco was surprised by this.

"Meet me in front after the exam." Said Katsuki.

He began to walk away.

"Oh and make sure Deku doesn't die again! Got it." Said Katsuki.

Ochaco knew he meant Izuku.

They of course took the exam and went through Orientation again.

However as Katsuki wasn't paying attention to explanation this time he paid attention the screen that was behind Present Mic.

He snorted really loud. When he said it.

"Kacchan?" asked Izuku.

"Look at the screen dumbass." Whispered Katsuki.

Izuku was more focused on the introductions that he didn't notice and started to laugh as well.

Because on the screen representing the robots were silhouettes of Goombas, Koopas and Piranha Plants with Mario himself representing the students.

OF course that one boy interrupted again demanding to know about the zero pointer.

"And you two laughing! You're distracting the other students." Said the boy.

"Hey! It's not our damn fault that Present Mic is using Mario as an example!" yelled Katsuki.

Which earned laughter from most of the other test takers.

Present Mic explained the Zero Pointer even comparing it to the Thwomp.

"Yes I'm going to refence Mario until Nintendo complains." Said Present Mic who got another laugh.

He wrapped up the orientation the same as last time with Pluss Ultra" and the quote from Napoleon

As the students left.

"Deku,… don't die." Said Katsuki.

Izuku sighed at that thinking it was the fact that Katsuki still thought he was Quirkless.

Sometime later… the students were all gathered outside once again.

Ochaco was trying not freak out after all she had to make sure to pay attention this time.

Make sure she didn't get trapped.

"That way he won't die! I can save him that time… it will work!" she thought with determination.

Unfortunately it didn't work, she was so focus on getting point she didn't notice that she was once again trapped under debris when the Zero Pointer emerged.

"No…" thought Ochaco.

However inside the control room.

Because Toshinori saw her again (unaware she traveled back in time as well) and called out.

"There's someone trapped in the path of the Zero Pointer." He called out.

They saw her.

"Majima!" called out Nezu.

A hero known as Power Loader aka Higari Majima tried to perform an override.

"There's a malfunction! I can't override it." He said.

Toshinori sweated.

Ochaco struggled trying to get free.

She watched in horror as Izuku did the exact same thing last time.

However the she was pinned under the debris was a little different.

"I have to save him!" she though.

She used her quirk on the debris trapped her as well as a piece of robot she climbed on which she started to float.

And as Izuku fell to the ground she managed to slap his face.

She started to cry in relief as she was gently let down the ground thanks to her quirk…

And then she tossed her cookies due to the side effect of her quirk.

Inside the control room Toshinori breathed a sigh of relief… though confused at the change.

"Wait… could that girl?" thought Toshinori.

However Nezu looked at Toshinori suspiciously

Back on the testing ground, Izuku relived he was alive however began to crawl away.

"I have to get a point… just one point…" he said.

However Present Mic announced the exam was over.

Ochaco started to tear up.

"He saved my life and he didn't have any points?" she thought.

Not too long later Nezu had asked Toshinori to join him in his office.

"What did you want to talk about?" asked Toshinori.

"You were too quick to point out the malfunction… like you were expecting it." Said Nezu.

Toshinori sighed.

"Should have known you noticed." He said, "I traveled back in time from yesterday…"

"I see…" said Nezu, "I assume either Miss Uraraka or you successor died."

Nezu knew about One for All.

Toshinori nodded, "Young Midoriya did…" he explained.

"I see…" said Nezu.

He looked at Toshinori.

"Is this the first time this has happened?" asked Nezu.

"No… one of the other students taking the exam was effected as well." Said Toshinori, "And I need to talk to him."

"I'll grant you permission to talk to him about this." Said Nezu.

Toshinori nodded.

And he sent a text to Katsuki on where to meet still wanting to meet on school grounds.

Not too long later Ochaco wasn't sure how to react, she tried to give some of her points to Izuku but Present Mic said she wasn't allowed, but that Izuku should be fine.

"Hey! Round face!" called out Katsuki.

"What did you call me?" asked Ochaco.

"that's not important… follow me." He said.

Ochaco scowled and did so.

They soon met with Toshinori at the side of the building.

His eyes widened when he saw her.

"You remember too." He said.

Ochaco nodded remembering the man apologizing the day before… was it that say. Stupid time travel.

"This is the third fucking time this happened to me." Said Katsuki, "And second for you…"

"This is the third time Young Midoriya died and the third time rewound because of it." Said Toshinori.

Ochaco's eyes widened.

"Are you serious…" said Ochaco.

"He is." Muttered Katsuki.

"It's a quirk isn't it?" asked Ochaco.

"It is." Said Toshinori, "We have yet to figure out who is behind it…"

"I see…" said Ochaco.

Toshinori looked at Ochaco.

"Young Midoriya is still in the infirmary, he hasn't woken up because of him passing out combined with Recovery Girl's quirk." Said Toshinori, "You should thank him."

"What? Are you serious?" asked Ochaco blushing.

"You should…" said Katsuki, "It might be good for to… trust me…"

Ochaco blinked and decided to see if that would help with her freak outs. After all with dealing with the exam twice maybe talking to him would be a good idea…

Sometime later… Ochaco waited outside the school had Izuku finally left.

"Oh it's you!" said Izuku.

"I wanted to thank you for saving me…" said Ochaco.

"it was nothing." Said Izuku with a smile.

"You saved my life at the cost… of getting points!" said Ochaco.

Ochaco was blushing happy that she able to swap the words.

However before any more could be said Ochaco's stomach rumbled.

"Are you okay?" asked Izuku.

"Oh I guess I haven't eaten in a while." Ochaco tried to brush it off.

That was when Izuku got an idea.

"How about I call my mom and ask her if she can make extra food." Said Izuku.

She wanted to argue about the charity but then she remember how Inko acted in the previous timeline. How kind and sweet she was.

"Sure!" said Ochaco.

"All right!" said Izuku.

However Izuku started to blush as he realized "I can't believe I'm bringing a girl over!"

They headed to Izuku's house.

Meanwhile All Might was jumping home.

As he was he couldn't help but to think.

"This all too much… it can't be someone else…" he thought.

After all it realty was too much.

He just hoped that Izuku wouldn't die again… but sadly it was too much to hope for that…

Though thankfully it still wouldn't happened again for the next couple of months…

Next Time: Izuku makes it to the UA Hero Course... however he gets expelled on the first day which causes his hopes to die leading to something terrible... And with time once again repeating he asks Katsuki something very important... is he sure if Izuku really was Quirkless and the answer he receives is extremely suspicious... what else happens... Find out next time!

A/N: For those that don't know the Mario reference is canon to the manga and is changed in the anime. I thought pointing it out would be a fun way to bring levity to the chapter. So yeah...
