Years ago, on Luke's 1st birthday, a grand celebration was planned. Charity had worked hard to make sure her little prince got the royal treatment. She invited families from all over the neighborhood and they all brought gifts.
Little Luke was quite the little star. He won pageants and cute baby contests. His blonde hair, blue eyes, and charming smile melted hearts and won the admiration of millions. He loved attention, even then. And he loved his mom a lot, too.
When the party started, little Luke received lots of amazing gifts that ranged from toys to clothes to three toy cars that he could drive himself. (Mostly Cozy Coupes)
His first birthday cake looked just like a castle with a working hot fudge moat. The guests loved it and Luke loved eating his own little cake, which looked like a dragon.
His 2nd birthday had the same amount of guests, with a "Love You Two The Moon And Back" theme and he got a lot of nice gifts and attention then, too. His cake was an accurate depiction of the moon landing with astronaut toys and a toy Luke dressed like an astronaut. When he blew out his two candles that day, he felt happy and loved. Charity was glad to see him happy.
But his third birthday was different. He spent it in the foster home, and every year until his 8th birthday, he was abused by his foster parents, then was forced to work in a company as part of some child labor thing until he was saved by someone he least expected.
We go to now, where it is finally October 31st. A day a lot of people had been looking forward to. The town was festively decorated and prepared for tonight's festivities.
Luke was seen getting ready for school, trying to figure out which costume he should wear this year. He had lots of options.
Meanwhile, the cosmic buddies helped Mario and the others set up.
"I think it looks perfect. Though, we need images of the cups." Peach says. "Today is also their anniversary."
"Where are the cups, anyway?" Daisy asked.
"They have school during the day, remember?" Peach says.
With the cups, people were excited to see them perform later. They walked into school in their costumes, where Cuphead was dressed like a male model and Mugman was dressed like Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates Of The Caribbean.
Fans cheered for them. Mugman had his blue headphones on, so he wasn't exactly paying attention to them. Cuphead smiled at the attention.
Luke came in, dressed like Skating Ken, dressed head to toe in a brightly colored outfit, skates and all.
"Hey, Garrett, what's your costume?" Luke asked.
"The scarecrow from The Wizard Of Oz." Garrett says. "But I'm a zombified version of him."
"That's so cool!" Remy says, dressed like a corpse groom with Haiku as his corpse bride.
Melony walked by. "Hi, Melony!" Garrett says.
Molly and Ollie appeared with June. Ollie and June were Peter Venkman and Egon Spengler from Ghostbusters. Molly was dressed like a bumblebee, wings and all. Her brother, Darryl, was dressed as a spider. But he went to the middle school unit of Oakley, as he was only in 6th grade.
Libby was dressed as "cotton candy", a costume that Leah had worked on for weeks, between bookstore work and taking care of Libby.
"Impressive costume!" Andrea says, entering the school dressed as Miss America.
"My mom says it's a labor of love." Libby says, smiling a small smile.
Anne, Sasha, and Marcy came, having also moved. Everyone wanted to be in Royal Woods. Marcy stared at Libby's costume, dressed as a mage from her favorite role-playing game.
Shane looked at Sasha. He was dressed as a cowboy this year.
"What are you?" Luke asked Sasha and Anne.
"A soldier." Sasha says.
"Dorothy. From The Wizard Of Oz." Anne says. "With the ruby slippers and Toto in the wicker basket and my hair in pigtails. Oh, I like your zombified version of the scarecrow, Garrett."
"Thanks." Garrett says to Anne.
Meanwhile
"So, Skara's not your sister anymore? I'm not surprised." Jason says.
"She wanted to follow the move to Royal Woods trend. Boscha actually has plans to do the same because of her dad." Angry Luigi says.
"So Skara broke Emma's heart?" Savannah asked.
"It's not all bad. They video chat every night and Skara still reads to her before bed and all that. They're going to be ANH partners next season, too." Angry Luigi says.
Meanwhile, Emma thinks of moving to Royal Woods.
"No, I must respect her space." Emma says, but it was still in her head.
With Luke, everyone in the high school was talking about his party tonight.
Luke smiled at all this. He loved when people talked about his parties.
"It's going to be the best!" Marcy says.
"How many drugstores are we hitting up this year?" Stephen asked, dressed as a "cereal killer".
"Every last one in town." Luke says.
After school, everyone headed to their homes to get ready for tonight.
Cuphead and Mugman went to get their photos taken for later. Cuphead was naturally photogenic as well as Mugman. Mugman had his pirate-themed photo shoot and Cuphead had his model photo shoot.
Peach clapped for the cups. Mona was excited to perform, and she was excited for the cups.
Meanwhile, Lucy and Haiku go to see the movie. Lucy notices Haiku's Halloween costume.
"I did it for Remy." Haiku says
"What are you supposed to be?" Lucy asked her.
"Corpse bride." Haiku says. "Remy is my corpse groom."
"It's going to be big, really big." Lucy says.
"Yeah, I'll get over my condition for Remy's sake." Haiku says.
With Luke, he was smiling as he was still in his Skating Ken costume. He was at Remy's house, helping set up for the party.
"Thanks, Luke." Remy says.
"This is our party, remember?" Luke asked him.
Remy nodded and smiled.
Soon, Cuphead and his band were getting ready to perform at the Halloween ball as the cosmic buddies helped set up. Mugman was taking selfies as Mona noticed him.
"Cute…" she says.
Mugman smiled as he then looked at Mona. "I like your female pilot costume." He says to her.
Mona smiled. "Thanks, Jack Sparrow." She smiles at Mugman's costume.
They soon go on stage and get ready to perform.
With Luke, he met up with the group of friends as he grinned.
"You ready?" Shane asked Penny, who was dressed like a mad scientist this year.
"You bet!" She says as she grabs Shane's hand.
"It's time to treat ourselves, people!" Luke says.
The group cheers as they run off toward the first drugstore in town, calling dibs on any candy they like and whatever candy they knew they could get their hands on.
Meanwhile in the Mushroom Kingdom…
"Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the Halloween ball to begin! Presenting tonight's entertainment…The Hot Slice Experience!" Peach says.
Toads cheered as they came on stage
The cosmic buddies, except Emila and Melony, were there.
"Hello, everyone!" Cuphead says.
Toads screamed for the group as The Hot Slice Experience began their show.
Luke and the others had gotten lots of candy so far, and they soon got to the last drugstore.
A TV shows the cups performing. Luke hissed, but then ignored the TV and went to get the candy with his group. They left the store shortly after and soon headed to Remy's house.
Penny was watching.
"Let's go, Penny." Shane says. She smiled.
Meanwhile, Alem Tuber walked around with his bro and The Mario bros and sees Bowser Jr., the Wario Bros, Wlem and Wandy
"Hmph!" Wandy said.
"Why are you here?' Alem tuber says.
"Gold." Wario says.
"Whatever let's get this over with" Alem tuber says walking up towards them looking at them glaring.
Wlem glared as they lunged towards each other.
Meanwhile, Peach and Daisy dance along to the music.
"Guys, Bowser is at it." A Toad says.
Cuphead ignores this and keeps going.
"Guys, I think we should wrap this up." Mona says.
"You guys can stay for the party." Peach says.
"No, thanks, Luke's parties are the best!" Cuphead says as they leave.
A net fell on Mona as Captain Syrup laughed and escaped with the Warioware crew when Cuphead and Mugman were leaving.
Meanwhile, Haiku was raiding some chocolate and smirking. It wasn't too crazy yet so she had time.
Emila and Sabrina were walking around.
"So why am I here?" Sabrina asked
"I need you as a friend for some experiment." Emila says.
Sabrina gulped.
Meanwhile, there was a crash as Mario landed.
"Mario, we need help, some pirate took Mona!" Peach says as Wario and his crew ran to rescue The Warioware crew as Bowser Jr Tries running but Alem tuber shoved him down.
"Hmph, if you guys wanna save Mona, be my guest. I'm out of here." Alem tuber says.
Meanwhile, Wlem and Wandy made a jet construct using their rings as they flew after Captain Syrup with Wario and Waluigi.
With Luke, the party was beginning. The cups entered Remy's house.
"Cuppy! Mugsy! You made it!" Luke says. "Tell me, how many years is it this year?"
"15." they say.
"Are you two gonna sing for us?" Luke asked.
The cups smile and go to do so.
"It's Cuppy and Mugsy!" Boscha squealed.
They smiled as Mugman was unaware his girl was taken. They performed as lots of people were showing up. All of Michigan wanted to attend this party.
Lucy took Haiku aside, revealing a new coffin.
"Thank you." Haiku says. "It's a nice gift."
Lucy smiled. Luke sees that all of Michigan was there. Remy took Haiku upstairs.
Haiku shook a bit. "Where are you taking me?" she says.
"We're gonna make some sweet love, my beautiful Haiku." Remy says.
With Angry Luigi, he walked home. Although he was sad to see Skara back, this allowed him to get his quiet life so he can consider suicide.
Back with Luke, the cups finished singing. Girls screamed and took pictures with them.
They smiled, taking selfies as all Luke thinks of is his birthday week.
Angry Luigi was in his room cutting his arm remembering the fans who were playing favorites. Those fans were back.
"They want me to die? I'll just die." Angry Luigi says, depressed like usual and continues to cut himself as he keeps hearing Luke's fans.
Skylia sighed. Gemma and those fans made Angry Luigi like this. He had been suicidal since he was 8.
Fans got autographs and soon the cups got an interview.
"So what's it like to be famous?" The interviewer asked the cups.
"Amazing!" Cuphead says.
"Feels pretty all right." Mugman says.
"So, what anniversary are you two celebrating today?" The interviewer asked.
"Our hero anniversary." Cuphead says. Girls scream as Luke was hissing. They just made it about them. This was supposed to be the Halloween party, but they stole it.
"Remember what we talked about, Luke!" Remy screams from upstairs. "We were celebrating them, too!"
"Are we also celebrating Lucy's dumb friend?" Luke asked, annoyed thinking of his birthday.
"No! She's celebrating with me right now! It's what she wants!" Remy says.
Meanwhile, Wlem and Wandy rescued Mona and the others.
"Thanks, Wario." Mona says as Ashley was on the ground, suffering from leukemia.
Meanwhile, Angry Luigi was looking annoyed as Emma dragged him to Luke's party.
"We're here!" Emma says as Angry Luigi looks annoyed with bloodshot eyes.
Angry Luigi sighed, walking past Luke, annoyed, and sat down. Angry Luigi was done with living. He wanted nothing to do with Luke, but no matter what, his life seemed to always revolve around supporting and celebrating Luke.
Cuphead began to dance with Lucy as the crowd went wild. Luke danced alone.
Marcy pulled him into a dance as he blushed.
Angry Luigi wanted to leave but no one would let him as Angry Luigi was getting annoyed as he hears people saying that the cosmic buddies wasn't needed and Luke was a better hero. he was started to unleash crystals and electricity as he was getting mad before Mike and Josh poured some of the sherbet punch on Angry Luigi as the electricity and the liquid mixed, zapping Angry Luigi who fell over in pain. People actually laughed.
Cuphead was eating candy, ignoring it. Mugman ate 6 full-size Milky Way Midnight bars and danced on a table.
Soon, they did soda chugging.
"The cups of honor go first!" Luke shouts.
Cuphead goes first, chugging some cream soda.
"You pansy! It's my turn now!" Mugman says and drinks 2 large bottles of vanilla Coca-Cola.
People cheered as Angry Luigi finally left, fueled with rage. People laugh at Angry Luigi, who was leaving. Emma couldn't help but giggle.
"I hate Luke." Angry Luigi hissed, leaving. "You wanna stay in Royal Woods, Emma, go ahead."
Emma looks down, her brother just disowned her. She leaves to be alone.
Luke grinned and offered the cups their anniversary cake as Brandy and Emma left. The cups smiled.
"A number 15 cake!" Cuphead says.
"Red and blue velvet! Our favorites!" Mugman says.
"Make a wish, boys!" Chalice says.
They wish to win ANH next season, blow out the candles, then feed each other their cake as they get messy.
"Not on my costume, Cuppy!" Mugman says.
Soon, Remy and Haiku came back downstairs to see the cake was finished.
There were a lot of guests. The cups were bouncing on Remy's couch.
Later, Haiku decided to leave. "Bye, Remy. See you at school." she says.
Soon, the party ended as Emma looked at Skara, who was making out with Boscha.
Emma walked outside, not sure where to go. Her brother basically disowned her. Randy would probably do that, too. And her mother was barely around to really notice.
"Maybe I should kick the bucket." Emma sniffed.
"Maybe you shouldn't." Willow says. "Come, me and my dads will be happy to have you."
Emma ran off, sobbing.
"W-Was it something I said?" Willow says, stunned.
"She must have broken." Gus says.
Later, Emma had eventually passed out. Skara carries her to Willow's house, where they were staying.
"Please take care of her." Skara says.
"We will." Gilbert says.
"You have our word." Harvey says.
"She'll be well-loved." Willow says.
"Are you sure? The Foxes broke her heart. I broke her heart. Her actual family broke her heart." Skara says.
"Absolutely." Gilbert says. "She doesn't deserve to get her heart broken any more."
"We'll take excellent care of her." Harvey and Willow say.
"I can't wait for my day." Luke says.
