Here's the next chapter! This is a sequel to the The Winter Dance, A Love Letter and everything in between! I don't know how long it's going to be, but it might not be a short story. This is going to be more about Uraraka and her relationship with Midoriya. Some things have come up, so we'll see what happens... This is a story that I wanted to happen after A Beautiful View and A Love Letter! I highly recommend reading The Winter Dance, Class 1-A's Sleepover, A Beautiful View and A Love Letter to understand what's going on fully. Other than that, Enjoy!
In Class 1-A's dormitory...
Uraraka sat in the dining room, feeling a little more relaxed than she thought she would. She ate some lunch, feeling like she could finally let Midoriya get some rest without worrying about him. She actually felt like she could eat something and ended up eating pretty much all of it. Iida kept her company and had lunch with her. They smiled and talked as if it were any other day together at U.A.
Everyone else was either eating lunch, doing their homework, or watching TV. Uraraka looked over at Bakugo and noticed that he was finishing up some homework with Kirishima. He looked like he was having trouble concentrating on it, which made her smile. She knew that he was worried about Midoriya just based on the way his leg kept shaking.
She went back to eating her lunch and noticed Iida looking at her. He noticed her checking on Bakugo.
"You two seem to be getting along a lot better now," Iida said to her, "It seems like you, Bakugo and Midoriya are spending a lot more time together. I'd say it happened ever since that body swap incident."
"Yeah well, I guess I just understand him more now," Uraraka said back, "Besides, I've decided to give him a break. He's been through a lot as well. He's not that bad once you get to know him."
Iida looked at Bakugo who was struggling to focus on his homework. He kept brushing his hair like he couldn't understand a certain question. Kirishima looked like he was trying to help him out, which surprised Iida when Bakugo allowed him to help. Iida smiled, seeing them getting along.
"Yeah. Maybe he's not so bad once he calms down," Iida said to him, "He's still a pain to deal with when he's loud and obnoxious."
"Yeah, I'll give you that one," Uraraka said back with a chuckle, "I just think he's been less harsh with everyone once him and Kirishima started dating. Something must've happened between them to make him calm down a little."
"Well, at least they're finally enjoying hanging out together," Iida said back, "I wouldn't have ever thought that they'd end up together, but it's better than arguing all the time."
Uraraka was almost done with her lunch and felt pretty satisfied with it. She decided to look at her phone and realized that Kitsune had texted her. She opened it and looked at the message.
Kitsune: Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope he's doing okay. Hope he feels better soon :)
Uraraka smiled, which caught Iida's attention.
"It's Kitsune," Uraraka said to him, "She texted me earlier. I told her that Izuku wasn't feeling good."
"Kitsune? So you really are keeping in contact with her?" Iida pointed out.
Uraraka smiled, feeling pretty good about it. It felt good to have a friend away from U.A. for once.
"Yeah. She really helped out with that whole body swap incident," Uraraka said back, "I just hope that she can come by again soon. She kind of nice to talk to about these sort of things."
"I'm glad that you found a friend during all that," Iida said to her with a smile, "I'm sure that it was a little weird being stuck in Bakugo's body for that long."
"Yeah, but I'm kind of glad that it happened or I wouldn't have been friends with him or Kitsune," Uraraka said to him.
Uraraka put her phone away and when back to finishing her lunch. She noticed that Iida looked a little upset about something. Uraraka thought that maybe he was worried about Midoriya, but something about it felt like something else.
"Iida, are you okay? Is something bothering you?" Uraraka asked him.
Iida hesitated to say anything, but Uraraka still looked at him with a solemn look.
"I just... You have not only Midoriya as a boyfriend, but Bakugo, the girls and Kitsune as friends. I feel like sometimes you don't really ever have time to hang out with me," Iida said to her, "I just wish that things could go back to the way things used to be. When we were friends and walking home together."
Uraraka's eyes widened and felt bad for him. It kind of hurt a little, but she knew that he didn't anything by it. He just missed them hanging out together. She felt bad for not including him in what was going on with Midoriya, but that wasn't her secret to tell. With all that's been going on, she's been pretty busy. She really liked how things were between her, Bakugo and Midoriya, but she wondered if might've accidentally pushed him to the side.
"Iida. We are still friends. We're hanging out right now, aren't we?" Uraraka asked back, "Besides, I've been busy with other things. School, homework, hero training and having a boyfriend. I still would love to hang out with you soon. Just like I said, the three of us should do something together."
Iida played with his lunch, and Uraraka could tell that he was still hurt by all of this.
"Maybe... But Mr. Aizawa might not ever let us do anything outside of U.A.," Iida said back.
Uraraka thought about it some more and realized that he was probably right. She then realized how much Iida has done for them lately. She wanted to do something special for him. He really deserved it after everything he's done for their friends and classmates. She felt bad that he was left behind like that and wanted to make it up to him.
"Iida. Let me see what I can do," Uraraka said to him, "Maybe I can do something or ask Mr. Aizawa if we can have some time outside of U.A. for a day. I want to do this for us. You're still our friend, and I care about you. We can hang out and do stuff just like old times."
Iida looked a little surprised, which made Uraraka realize that she might've forgotten about him during all of this. She really wanted to do this for him. He smiled at her, and she felt a little better.
"Thanks Uraraka," Iida said back, "I really appreciate it."
Uraraka smiled at him, really glad to do this for him and Midoriya as well.
"Of course."
In the Nurse's Office...
Midoriya soon found himself back in the Nurse's Office. AllMight and Mr. Aizawa helped him settle down and realized that he looked and felt a lot better. Ever since Uraraka tried to heal him with evolved quirk, he had been feeling less dizzy and feverish. He wondering how Uraraka was doing since she did jump in to save him. He really wanted to be there with her, but was glad that he could talk to her soon. Right now, he needed to rest.
Recovery Girl came over to him, and even she noticed how much better he looked. She checked him over just like last time and noticed how different he felt. Even his forehead felt less hot and more slightly warm.
"Hmm... Interesting, Uraraka's quirk really did heal you," Recovery Girl said to him, "She even got rid of your fever. She might be a great healer if she somehow improves her quirk."
Midoriya smiled, feeling really proud of his girlfriend. He really was so glad that she could improve on her quirks in other ways now that things are settling down. He looked down at his hand and wondered the same thing for him. He realized that he must've accidentally used a new quirk from One for All during all of that commotion.
He felt like he was floating.
Midoriya really wanted to talk to AllMight, but with Mr. Aizawa around he had to wait.
"Yeah. She did amazing," Midoriya said with a smile on his face, "It felt... really different from how her quirk usually feels. It somehow felt like she was making my quirk weightless. She somehow got through to it."
AllMight and Mr. Aizawa were shocked to hear this. Even Recovery Girl was really intrigued by her Uraraka's quirk and how it worked.
"This is really interesting. This didn't happen until you got a fever," Mr. Aizawa said to him, "Isn't that a little weird? Something about it seems a little suspicious."
Midoriya got a little nervous that Mr. Aizawa would find out about One for All. AllMight and Recovery Girl shared an inconspicuous look, and Midoriya could tell that they'd handle it. AllMight walked over to him and made sure that he didn't notice Midoriya's nervous face.
"Mr. Aizawa, I'm sure it's nothing that any of us can handle," AllMight said to him, "Besides, Young Uraraka and Young Midoriya deserve a break after what they've been through. Maybe when this is all over, you can let them go out for a while."
He looked at Midoriya, and he flinched in his bed. Midoriya looked like he might break out into a sweat again. He knew that they've caused enough trouble as it is, he didn't see how Mr. Aizawa would even allow them to go out of U.A. again. Mr. Aizawa let out an annoyed sigh and gave Midoriya a stern glare.
"Fine. Midoriya and Uraraka can have a day out during the weekend," Mr. Aizawa said to them, "If they want, they can invite someone or a couple of friends to go with them as well. One or two friends from Class 1-A is all I'll allow."
Midoriya was shocked that he even let them go out at all, let alone with a friend or two. He felt like Mr. Aizawa was finally able to trust them, at least somewhat.
"Thank you Mr. Aizawa," Midoriya said to him, "I promise that I won't bring anyone back home with their bodies swapped or anything like that."
"Just don't get into trouble is all I ask," Mr. Aizawa said to him with a stern glare.
"O-Of course sir!" Midoriya said as he bowed to him.
Mr. Aizawa let out a sigh and turned to AllMight.
"Look after him. I still need to take care of some paperwork," Mr. Aizawa said to him.
"Of course. I'm sure it won't take long for Young Midoriya to recover," AllMight said back.
Mr. Aizawa gave them all a nod and headed out of the Nurse's Office. Midoriya felt like he could finally relax with just AllMight and Recovery Girl. Soon enough, Recovery Girl walked up to him to check on Midoriya once more. She didn't notice anything different, but wondered how his quirk was feeling.
"Midoriya, how is your quirk feeling?" Recovery Girl asked him, "I hope that it's finally healed."
Midoriya thought about it for a moment and definitely a difference. It felt less heavy and agitated. If anything, it felt like it was almost back to normal. He looked at his arms and noticed that the wind pressure that he felt earlier wasn't building up any sort of energy. It seemed to have finally stopped.
"One for All... It feels lighter," Midoriya explained to them, "Something about it feels like it's almost back to normal. Ochaco's quirk really did help heal it. It's not even building up any energy in my arms."
AllMight and Recovery Girl shared a look and were finally able to relax.
"This is great. Young Uraraka's quirk was actually successful in healing it," AllMight said to him, "Her quirk being able to do this is pretty impressive. I would've never thought of her quirk as a healing type."
Midoriya looked at his arms, feeling so much lighter and the dizziness gone. He smiled, feeling a lot less hot and achy.
"Yeah... It's pretty amazing..." Midoriya said to him, "She didn't even hesitate to jump over to help me. She looked scared, but still did it anyway..."
AllMight sat down on his bed and put his hand on his shoulder. Midoriya looked up and noticed how sincere he looked.
"Look Young Midoriya, I'm sorry that I got in between you and Young Uraraka," AllMight said to him, "I shouldn't have done that. This is your quirk now. You should have people on your side that know about this quirk and its origins. It's only fair since I do have that luxury. I can see now that she's very much trustworthy."
Midoriya smiled and felt grateful that he even apologized at all.
"Thanks AllMight. I really appreciate it," Midoriya said back.
Midoriya looked down at his hand and remembered what he felt during that commotion with his quirk. He felt like he was floating, and it wasn't because of Uraraka this time around.
"AllMight, I think I accidentally used one of the predecessors's quirks while I was in the air," Midoriya said to him, "It felt like I was flying, but I thought it was Ochaco's quirk for a moment."
AllMight's eyes widened in shock, and Midoriya finally looked up to see him getting emotional. He placed his hand onto his arm, and Midoriya knew that this meant something to him.
"That's my master's quirk..." AllMight said to him, "Her quirk was Float... It allows her float and suspend herself in the air."
Midoriya's eyes widened in shock, realizing that he could finally use more than one quirk at a time. He could tell that's why he was sick. One for All was just going through a lot at the moment, and it caused him to get sick. It made him wonder if there were any others that were in reach soon.
Then Midoriya remembered what AllMight said and wondered what she was like. He never got the chance to talk to her through the vestige world. He's seen her and here and there, but nothing more than that.
"So... What's she like?" Midoriya asked him, "Your master. She sounds like she's pretty strong."
AllMight looked at him, and Midoriya could tell that he appreciated him asking about her. He looked at him as if he were remembering being by her side all those years ago.
"She was... an amazing hero and strong teacher," AllMight said to him with a smile, "She was dedicated to helping me to become a better pro hero. Not only that, but she actually thought that I could be the number one hero even though I was quirkless. I actually see a lot of what we went through in you all the time. I can see now that you've been doing your own thing as well, and I couldn't be more proud of you Young Midoriya."
Midoriya felt a little emotional, happy that he could make AllMight feel so close to his master.
"If you ever get the chance, just let her know that I said, I am here," AllMight said to him with a smile.
Midoriya smiled wider, happy to make him feel much better. He almost felt tears coming up and tried to hold them back.
"I will," Midoriya said back.
Then Midoriya started to wonder about Uraraka's quirk. Since hers was similar to hers in that moment, he wondered how much different hers was now that things were settling down. He was worried that he might've ruined some things were her quirk. He noticed AllMight looking concerned and just went with it.
"I'm still not sure what to tell Uraraka... You know, about One for All and its origins. She knows nothing about it. Not only that... but her quirk is evolving because of One for All. I don't even think she knows about that."
Midoriya could barely even look up at AllMight since he was a little nervous about talking to her. Something about his quirk and what happened made him feel like he had done something to her quirk. He didn't want to ruin anything between them or her chances of being a pro hero. He felt he had to make it up to her somehow.
"Young Midoriya. I understand that you're upset, but you should talk to her about this," AllMight said to him, "I'm sure that she'll understand. She really cares about you, and I don't think she'd leave you over something like this."
"But AllMight... She wants to help her parents have an easier life," Midoriya said to him, "She doesn't want to be a hero like anyone else. She's doing it to help her parents and their job. All she cares about is helping others. I don't want to ruin that for her. She clearly cares about what she can do with her quirk. If I ever ruin those chances, I would never be able to forgive myself."
Midoriya could tell that AllMight was hesitant to say anything. He could barely look up at him, but wondered what he was thinking. He really didn't know what to tell Uraraka and talking to AllMight about this might help him figure things out.
"Young Midoriya..." AllMight said but then got interrupted by Recovery Girl.
"Midoriya, you shouldn't let whatever happened with your quirks get between you two," Recovery Girl said to him, "Uraraka will be a great pro hero, no matter what she decides to do with her quirk. What you need to do is be there for her if you really care about her. You and Uraraka have a lot of potential as pro heroes and now that things have changed, I'd say you'll be even closer to getting there."
Midoriya was surprised to hear Recovery Girl talk to him like this. Something about it however made him feel a lot better about the situation. It made realize that he really liked having her by side, whether they were pro heroes or a couple. When she healed him, he felt so comfortable in her arms. He felt so light on his feet, like he could fly around with her for a long time.
"You're right..." Midoriya said as he let out a sigh, "Thank you Recovery Girl. I really needed that."
"Of course you did. Now lay down so I can heal you," Recovery Girl said to him.
Midoriya laid down on his bed, ready for her to use her healing quirk. She kissed him with her extended lips, causing a green aura to spread all around him. He soon felt himself heal up all the way, but felt really tired while she was healing him. He felt himself relax as she finished healing him. She pulled back, and Midoriya felt so tired that he could barely get up.
"Th-Thank you Recovery Girl," Midoriya said to her as he was barely able to keep his eyes open.
"You should get some sleep while you're here," Recovery Girl said to him, "You're going to be exhausted all day if you don't. You can talk to Uraraka when you get up."
Midoriya looked at both AllMight and Recovery Girl and could barely nod. He soon close his eyes and fell asleep pretty much right away.
