"So, what's your idea?" already outside, Turks gathered to make a plan.

"Last time we made one big shield around the copy" Reno said. "This time will drop many small shields, all around the city.

"This is huge, we will need a lot of energy" Tseng was frowning. "The entire city will fade if we deviate so much from the reactors."

"Well, it will, but…" Reno found a missing link in his plan.

"Three of the reactors are already down."

"It's worth it" Rude got Reno's back. "People will have an electricity regime, we can provide them with small generators, this is a thing."

Tseng breathes in and out.

"Ok, let's do it. It will take a few days, but we can cover a lot of space if we start now."

"Let's do it!" Elena agreed.

The plan execution took them all day. Despite no one of them stopping for a break, they barely covered one sector. Night was coming and Turks decided to stay in the morning and go back to the base.

"I'm done" Rude was resting on the elevator's wall while coming down from the helipad on the roof. Reno and Elena leaning back on back, also exhausted.

"I'll go to report to the boss" Tseng was dragging his feet.

"Go to your wife, I will report" Red haired said.

"We all have to go, we never asked for permission in the first place. Boss may cancel it." Elena yawned.

Reaching Rufus' office, guards were still to the door, so Turks entered to find Rufus working.

"Boss, we hoped to find you here" Tseng started. "We were working on an idea Reno gave this morning, shielding the city. We hoped you would agree…

Rufus raised his sight.

"Did I ever send you to do something like that?"

Uh, oh!

"We found a way to provide electricity to people, it's just for a week, till the weapon is ready." Rude said.

"Weapon, huh?"

"We covered sector 3, we just need…"

"Go back to your daily work and leave this."

"Boss, are you…"

Reno's hand raised, holding his gun and putting the safety down.

"Reno!" Tseng shouted.

"Reno, what are you doing?"

"This is not him. This is Genesis possessing him."

"What are you talking about? Come to your senses!" Tseng was about to knock the red haired down.

"I know my boss."

Under the scared looks of Rude and Elena, a sly smile came on Rufus Shinra's face, hardly seen on him.

"It looks like you are not that stupid, after all."

Four Turks standing there, shocked.

"You kidding me, right?" Rude was looking first at Reno, then Rufus, then the others.

"He possessed him." Reno's teeth clenched, his eyes were also hardly expressing such anger.

"How?" Elena cried. "How is that possible?"

"This is not right" Tseng was still looking at Reno trying to stop him.

Rufus crossed his legs and smiled at them, coldly, mocking at their panic.

"What's the name of the new trainees?" Reno was still aiming at his boss.

"What the…"

"The kids came in Turks. What are they called?"

"How should I know?" Rufus shrugs.

"I don't believe it." Elena made a step forward. "I want some proof, I don't believe this is Genesis."

"Oh, you want proof?" the president got his gun and without any warning shot at her.

"Elena!" Tseng got her and kneeled with her.

"I will kill you!" Reno made a few steps forward. "What did you do to him?"

"Oh, if you shoot, you will kill him for sure, not me."

Sick laughter came out of Rufus' mouth.

Reno took a few steps and kicked the gun out of his hand, then pressed his own to his head.

"One move and you will learn the meaning of brainless!"

"You won't shoot him." Rufus said. He was so frighteningly calm.

"Try me."

"Hold on, Elena, I'm taking you to the hospital!" Tseng was pressing her abdomen, blood was coming out and staining her uniform.

Tseng couldn't leave since the situation turned out this way, he got Elena out and told guards to take her to the hospital and stay with her, then came back to Reno and Rude, who were both aiming at Rufus.

"What did you do to him?" Black haired man also got his gun out.

"Don't worry, he is here somewhere."

Rufus knocked on his head.

Reno's hand starts shaking and he holds the gun with both hands. All the exhaustion was gone, now his blood pressure was making a sound of a drums in his ears. How this could happen!

And Rufus, he was there, hearing and seeing everything, trying to scream, being trapped into his own body. And the One winged was there, invading, possessing, controlling him. It was the worst thing he could imagine, worse than the stigma, than being in captivity, worse than accepting his own death.

"What do we do, we can't kill him!" Rude was turning again between Reno and Tseng.

"No, but we can lock him. Till we find out how to get that son of a bitch out of him. You hear me? Reno was still pressing his gun to Rufus' head. "Your momma is a bitch."

Tseng got handcuffs, of course Rufus tried to fight, but there were three against one, and Turks knew their job. In a short time his both hands were locked to the chair armrests.

"What the guards will say when they see him like this, what will we tell to other people?" Tseng started panicking, Reno passed hand on his face and made a step back.

Genesis was looking at them reserved, cold, and now angry. No, they wouldn't kill their boss, but they would find a way to get him out of his body, and when that happened he would need a quick solution.

"Go on, shoot me, torture me, I'll be sure he will feel all of it."

"Ok, this is a nightmare" Reno's eyes were wide open, watching Genesis in the body of his boss, making him act like a mental ill.

"What should we do?"

"We will get him out of the president before they learn." Tseng was ready for action.

"And how do we do that?" Reno crossed the space between them, still holding the gun. "He said the boss still feels all of it. If we hurt him, we will hurt the president too!"

"Not with the lifestream weapon. It shoots only energy."

"You are actually planning to shoot him?" Rude asked. "Why don't you go to see how Elena is doing, you are her partner after all."

"And you are her boyfriend, why don't you go?"

Rude's face turned red.

"I am not leaving you two alone with him, we have our hands on Genesis. Reno, go get the weapon."

Red haired was looking at him with doubt. What if Tseng was possessed too?

"You get it yourself, I'm not moving from here."

Tseng's face couldn't be pictured at that moment, his anger was about to overflow.

"This is an order!" he barked at his colleague.

"You are not my boss, remember?"

Rufus starts laughing at them.

"Is that the order Shinra president keeps? Pathetic!

"If you want to test him, I have a better way."

Reno got one of the portable shields.

"And how that would…"

"You will pass him through it" Rude realized.

"Boss, I'm sorry." Reno turned to the chained president. "I'm really sorry."

"He will kill you!" Genesis used Rufus' body and bent forward. "If you do that, he says he will kill you! You will hurt him more than me!"

"Well" Reno got the chair and pulled it behind the desk. "He may kill me, but he for sure wants you dead more than anything."

Tseng couldn't watch Rufus in such disgraced condition, he served this man since he came here.

"Don't do this." Genesis was struggling and trying to stop him with his feet on the floor. "Don't do this!"

Do it! Somewhere inside of him Rufus was fighting. Get him out of me! Do it, I order you!

"Stay back!" Reno activated the shield and threw it away.

In more than a second a green net of rays rose between him and the two other Turks. It wasn't straight, more like a dome. Rude covered his eyes, Tseng's face couldn't be more tense.

Rufus, on the other hand was trying to break the chains, sweat appeared on his face.

"Please don't do that. It won't kill me."

"Then why the concern?" Reno pushed him a few steps and he started struggling even harder.

"It will hurt him. Mine and his spirits are now connected, he is fragile."

"Rufus was never fragile. He survived the stigma, he will beat this too."

"I will bring her back. I will leave her alone, just for you." This time Genesis was whispering.

Reno's eyes squint.

"Now you got on my nerves for real!"

Reno pushed the chair with the tied Rufus and it crossed the barrier, standing in the middle so rays were passing through the body.

A scream cut the space, a cry of pain and suffering. He shook, pulling himself, struggling, black smoke started rising from Rufus body. His eyes squinted, wrists were about to break, trying to escape.

"Pull him out, you will kill him!" Rude shout.

Red haired did it, Rufus body collapsed, shaking.

"Reno…"

"Boss?" Rude and Tseng rushed, the barrier was still on.

"Sir, are you alright?" Reno kneeled before him.

"He is still here, finish him. Finish him!"

"He hurts you too!"

"I will be f… fine."

Shield faded and turned off.

"No, I forbid!" Tseng got Reno's shoulder and pulled him away. "You will cause internal organ damage, it's not worth it."

"Is it worth it to live like a puppet?" Rufus' eyes met his. "To die, killing my employees? My friends? I shoot Elena with my own hands!"

"I can't watch this!" Rude covered his mouth with a hand and turned back.

"Get him out of me, better dead than this. Please!"

Reno took a step back.

"I…"

"This is an order!" Rufus was desperate, scared, the way none of them ever saw him before.

"I'll do it." Tseng came out and got the chair's back. "Reno, the shield."

"But you just said…" Rude also made a step forward.

"You need to tie me tighter, he will break out."

Reno turned back, he couldn't watch too.

"Forgive me." Tseng got a thin rope and twined it around Rufus chest and the chair, making a strong knot.

"I can't believe we are doing this." Reno was circling around.

"Reno, the shield." Tseng got the chair, Rufus started shaking and instinctively pulled his hands. Reno was petrified in his place. "Reno!" his colleague's voice snapped. "The shield!"

He took a few steps and his hand fell on Rufus' shoulder.

"I'm sorry, boss."

"Think about every time I made you fill papers." President looked at him.

"Don't joke."

"You need to do this for me. I can't stand this."

Reno got the device and turned his eyes to Tseng, he nodded, then he turned it on threw it.

Another shield raised and Tseng got the back of the chair, Rufus' body stretched out.

"It lasts a minute" Reno said. "I don't think he will make it for a minute.

"We are trying to get Genesis out of him, you heard him." Tseng stopped.

"Just don't kill him." Rude said.

It happened faster than Rufus wanted, but he could take over the presence of Genesis harder and harder, he was about to break, when Tseng pushed him and the shield fell on him again.

Turk's hands were shaking on the back of the chair, so hard Rufus himself was shaking. The back almost broke, tears came into Tseng's eyes.

"Get out of him, you fucking abomination, get out!"

Reno covered his eyes.

The expression on Rufus' face was pure agony. He was hoping, praying to die, or for the shield to expire, but it was still there, bright, strong, cutting through his flesh like lasers to the bones. Blood came into his eyes, he couldn't take a breath, his spine was about to break. The black smoke coming out of him almost hid him from their eyes.

"You are killing him, stop!" Reno tried to pull Tseng's arms, he pushed him away. "I said, stop!" He raised his rod and hit the other man in the face, then pulled Rufus out of the shield.

"How dare you…" Tseng was holding his face, blood ran from his nose.

Rude was on the other side of the shield and couldn't interrupt.

"Boss, are you alright?" Reno ignored him and checked him. "Boss? Call the nurse!" he told Rude, who ran through the door.

"Rufus?" Tseng pressed fingers on his neck, searching for a pulse and shook his head.

"What have we done" Reno got both hands on his head and took a step back.
