Sheldon didn't know if he should use his regular compulsive knocking ritual like he always does when he is about to knock on someones door but in his mind, he didn't even think about it nor did he even care to. All he wanted was to fix things with Amy. His minds works in so many ways but he knew that Amy was more important to him than anything in the world. He couldn't stop thinking about what he did to her or why he did it.. It broke his heart even thinking about it, "How could I be so careless", he thought to himself as he wiped a small tear running down his cheek with the back of his hand.

He kept replying her face in his head, he saw was the sadness in her eyes.

It broke his heart. He never meant for this to happen

"Knock, knock, knock", Sheldon knocked as he pressed his palm and leaned his forehead against the door of 4B.

The apartment that he grown to love, the apartment where him and Amy was beginning to start a life together as one, Amy was home. To him.

"I hope she forgives me for the second time" he thought again.

As the door slowly opened, Sheldon took a step back.

"Sheldon, what do you want?" Penny said, angrily.

He was getting ready to reply when Penny interrupted him. "Sheldon, whatever this is. Amy doesn't wanna talk to you"

Sheldon's heart caught in his throat when he saw Penny staring at him "I know I hurt her. I didn't mean to. Can I please talk to her?" he said "Please" he paused as he put his head down.

"I don't think thats a good idea. She won't even let me and Bernadette come into the room", she replied

"Okay, well..." he paused. "If she never wants to talk to me again, I understand. But can you please tell her what I have to say first"

"Okay, go ahead" she sighed and rolled her eyes.

"Can you tell her I love her" he stepped forward, "I know deep down that I don't deserve her. I don't deserve her even a little bit. I'm not worthy of her and I understand that, I've understood that for a long time. I spent half my time loving her and the other half hiding how much I loved her because I was scared of my own feelings. She doesn't deserve that. I know I failed her but I love her with all my heart and even if she doesn't ever talk to me again. I know I deserve that" he paused as a solitary tear ran down his cheek

"Can you give her this?" he said, handing Penny a black velvet ring box.

"What is this, Sheldon?" Penny asked

"An engagement ring", he replied "It was my Meemaw's. My mother gave it to me about two years ago and Meemaw said to give it to someone worthy and Amy is more than worthy of this. She has worked so hard for years, she has worked so hard for me to love her and as hard as it is to say that. I feel ashamed by saying that cause Amy shouldn't have to work so hard for a dumbass like me. Even she doesn't take me back, just please give this to her. There's no one else for me and she deserves it more than anyone in this world" Sheldon took a breath "also, before I go, can you tell her that she made me a better man. I was a shell of a man before she met me and Amy has really softened my life with her kindness and love. She made me a better man in so many ways and I'm grateful for her" he turned around and walked out the door to 4A.

"Sheldon"

His heart skipped a beat hearing Amy's voice. He turned around and saw Amy looking at her, she smiled at him.

"Amy..." He paused "Penny has something to tell you"

"There's no need, Sheldon. I heard everything you said" Amy interrupted him "Please don't leave" she said slowly walking towards him.

Sheldon didn't move, he froze.

"I love you too" Amy whispered as tears ran down her face.

Sheldon ran towards her and hugged her tightly. Her tears wetting his shirt, the smell of talc ran through her.

"Oh, Amy. I'm so sorry" Sheldon said as he buried his face into her hair.

"Please forgive me. Please forgive me" he thought to himself.

"Shh, don't cry. Please don't cry" Sheldon said "I am so sorry, Amy. That was so careless of me for making you feel so small. Theres no excuse for my actions and I apologize." Sheldon also crying himself.

"Its okay" she whispered

Sheldon shook his head "What I did will never, in a million years be okay nor will it be repeated. I hurt you, again and again" he paused "I will never do that again and I have learned from my mistakes, you didn't deserve that."

"I forgive you, Sheldon, I do" Amy looked into his eyes as tears came down her face.

Sheldon whipped them immediately with his thumb. "If we are okay, Amy" he paused, once again and let go of Amy as he walked towards Penny. He gently grabbed the ring from her hands as he went back to Amy.

He began to get down on one knee and took her hand in his. His eyes full of tears, but mostly love.

"Amy, I know I will never be worthy of your love but I will spend my life trying to prove that I am absolutely worthy of you. I have made mistakes that I am not proud of but I am more than grateful to have you in my life. You are my soul, my best friend, and mostly the love of my life. Please, will you marry me? Amy, I love you so much" Sheldon asked

Amy looked into his eyes with so much love. She loved this man with all her heart and she will forever continue to love him.

"God, yes" Amy whispered

This story was inspired by "The Stag Convergence" Season 5, Episode 22.

I absolutely loved how they soften the Howard character and made him more mature, it was so beautiful to see how far he had come and that he changed himself because he loves Bernadette so much. I adore their relationship so much!

So this is my spin of a Shamy version.

I am gonna be completely honest. When I was writing this story over the last five months, the idea in my head of what Sheldon did.. Someone had already had that idea written out in a fanfiction and I'm never gonna steal that idea because the story I read was more beautifully written than mine but thats my truth. So from my imagination to yours. Please review and tell me what y'all think!! (:
