Blossom has elemental breath, Bubbles has sound wave powers, what about Buttercup?
(get ready for chapter 4!)
Buttercup sat at her desk. she was in 2nd grade math class and everyone else was falling asleep from boredom.
Buttercup stopped looking out the window and looked at the board only to see the teacher had written 6+6=14.
"how did this guy get hired?" Buttercup muttered to herself.
the poison taste had been in her mouth for the past 5 hours at this point.
the bell rang and everyone woke up and started leaving.
Buttercup stood up and grabbed her book from her desk and began leaving.
"Buttercup, what do you think your doing?" the teacher asked, stopping Buttercup when she was almost at the door.
"look dude, everyone in school knows you don't like me and my sisters, we don't save Townsville for this nonsense" Buttercup replied before heading out the door, not even looking at the teacher.
Buttercup zoomed to her locker next to a 5th grader named Zack's locker. they hadn't talked much since they got assigned the lockers, only casuallly saying hello when they were grabbing their things at the same exact time. which had only happened once or twice over the past 5 months.
she grabbed her things and rushed to 2nd grade english.
"hi Buttercup! bye Buttercup!" Bubbles said as the two crossed paths on their way to different classes.
she got to the door before accidentally biting her lip with her sharp tooth. her vision ever so slightly fuzzied from the pain but that was the only effects Buttercup got from pricking herself with her own poison.
'I have a feeling that's going to happen a lot' Buttercup thought to herself.
she shook the sting off from her mind and headed to her desk.
"wheres Blossom? she wasn't in my last 2nd grade class" the teacher asked Buttercup.
"shes out sick" Buttercup explained.
"oh what happened?" the teacher replied.
"she fainted during breakfast" Buttercup said calmly. it wasn't a lie, she had fainted, Buttercup just didn't mention the reason she had gone unconscious.
she sat at her desk and looked out the window, zoning out again.
the next time she began paying attention it had been only 3 minutes and the teacher was asking the class how to spell 'fruitcake' while gesturing to the board, waiting for a kid to put their hand up and come to the front of the class to spell it out on the board.
a child with brown hair tied in small space buns raised their hand and stood up, heading to the front of the class.
Buttercup watched as the girl took the chalk from the teacher and wrote 'friutcake' on the board in large, shaky writing.
"so close, just one mistake! thank you for being so brave and coming to the front" the teacher told the child.
the kid gave the chalk back to the teacher and walked back to her desk. the teacher used the eraser to rub out the 'i' and 'u' and then used the chalk to switch them around.
