/Thomas (Speaking to you)\:
Whoo-hoo! Hello, welcome to another story with me, my friends, and our best friends, the Smurfs. And again, no changes on the island.

Now, about the story. We all know that there's a place called "Old England", and we all now know that there's a place called "New England". But it's not part of the U. K., it's actually part of the U. S. A., which is also known as North America, and we learned some new things while we're there. Can you believe and imagine it? Hmm-hmm-hmm.

/PEEP! PEEP!\ ALL ABOARD FOR A BIG ADVENTURE!

Engines And Smurfs In New England

Part 1

/Thomas (Narrating)\:
Me, my friends, and the Smurfs were sailing across the ocean. The Fat Controller had sent us to a mystery destination. We all can't wait on what we're going.

"/Moment of silence then sound of the boat moving through the water\"

/Thomas\: "Hah, once again sailing on and about."

/Molly\: "Well, not me."

/Emily\: "And indeed it's your first time but try not to get seasick."

/Molly\: "Pah, do I look like I'm seasick?"

/Emily\: "Well, so far so good."

/Molly\: "Exactly."

/James\: "And it's splendid that you can come with us, Edward."

/Edward\: "Indeed, I sure can take some time off and get out of the island for a change."

/Percy\: "And good thing that Neville is glad to do all your work, and with Boco to help along as well."

/Edward\: "Indeed to that."

/Handy\: "And it's smurfy for you two to smurf along with us."

/Willing\: "Yeah, smurfy to that."

/Hefty\: "Of course, since you and the both of us last smurf to present-time Japan, we sure can smurf on another adventure and journey."

/Tuffy\: "Yeah, and to smurf us occupied since Gordon will be busy smurfin' with his express duties."

/Handy\: "Uh-huh."

/Dreamy\: "Gee, I can't hardly smurf on what the mystery destination we're smurfing."

/Grouchy\: "/MOAN\ I HATE mystery destinations!"

/Vanity\: "Well, it better not be boring."

/Harmony\: "Or unsmurfy."

/Jokey\: "Hey, knock-knock."

/The Engines and the other Smurfs\: "Who's there?"

/Jokey\: "Orange."

/The Engines and the other Smurfs\: "Orange who?"

/Jokey\: "Orange you're smurfing to know where we're smurfing! Hyuk-hyuk-hyuk-hee-hee-hee!"

/The Engines and the other Smurfs minus Grouchy\: "/Laughing\"

/Percy\: "'Smurfy' one, Jokey!"

/Jokey\: "Thank you."

/Grouchy\: "/Moaningly\ Mmmmm."

/Smurfette\: "Oh come on, Grouchy, try to be positive."

/Grouchy\: "Meh!"

/James\: "Sorry Smurfette, it turns out he won't."

/Smurfette\: "/SIGH\"

"/Sound of the boat moving through the water\"

/A couple hours later\

"/Sound of the boat moving through the water\"

/A sailor\: "Land ho!"

/James\: "/Moodily\ It's about time!"

/Grouchy\: "/Moodily\ Yeah, and I was about to go unsmurfy!"

/Molly\: "/To herself and softly\ /ANNOYED SIGH\ Impatient fuss pots!"

/Thomas\: "Excuse me, you sailor."

/The same sailor\: "Yes?"

/Thomas\: "What's that place?"

/The same sailor\: "That my friend is the city and harbor of Boston."

/Percy\: "Ooh, smashing!"

/Thomas\: "But, what country?"

/The same sailor\: "America, well North America to be exact."

/Thomas\: "Wow, North America, and for the second time!"

/Edward\: "Yes, you and Nia went to that country."

/Emily\: "Well, not to Boston."

/James\: "Where to again?"

/Thomas\: "San Francisco."

/Molly\: "Oh of course."

/The same sailor\: "Sounds like you and your friend went to the west coast of the country. But now we're coming into the east coast of it."

/Thomas\: "Wow, good to know."

/James\: "And splendid fact."

"/Moment of silence\"

/Dreamy\: "Smurf, what smurfy fun we're gonna smurf in North America!"

/Willing\: "And adventures too!"

/Handy\: "And perhaps smurf some new smurfy friends!"

/Hefty\: "Yeah, smurfing some new friendly faces is the most smurfiest thing while smurfing to a new country!"

/Tuffy\: "/Hopefully\ Well, hope there ain't gonna be any trouble, or else I'll smurf them a piece of my smurf!"

/Vanity\: "Like some of you did in present-time Japan?"

/Grouchy\: "But at least it's not in a violent way."

/Harmony\: "That's for smurf."

/Jokey\: "Hee-hee-hee, but it should've been in a funny and tricky way."

/Smurfette\: "/Sternly\ No, that's against the rules!"

/Dreamy\: "/Agreeingly\ Yeah, and that's what I smurf of that! And if there's a challenge, we know the obvious."

/Jokey\: "/Unhappily\ /MOAN\ Party-smurfers!"

/Grouchy\: "/Moodily\ And proud of it! Now smurf your smurf and behave yoursmurf!"

/Jokey\: "/Growly\ Mmmmm."

/The boat\: "/TOOOOOOT!\"

"/Moment of silence\"

/Thomas (Narrating)\:
After disembarking from the boat and touching the country's ground, the Smurfs had change forms, to their North American forms, New England and 70's style.

/Smurfette\: "Ooh, this outfit is smurfalish."

/Dreamy\: "I like mine, it's so hippie."

/Vanity\: "I look even handsomer in this fashion."

/Tuffy\: "Mine makes me look tough."

/Grouchy\: "I kinda like mine."

/The other Smurfs\: "And some of us too."

/James\: "You all indeed look really splendid."

/Molly\: "And 'smurfy'."

/Emily\: "The "smurfiest" ever."

"/Moment of silence\"

/Percy\: "So, now what?"

/Edward\: "We go in the city of course."

/Thomas\: "And these tracks can lead us to it."

/Percy\: "Oh, knew that."

/Hefty\: "Now let's smurf a smurfy impression."

/Handy\: "Uh, Hefty, we're invisible to humans."

/Hefty\: "Oh, I forgot."

/James\: "Just leave the impression to us Engines, especially me."

/Willing\: "/In annoyance\ Pfft, you always smurf an impression, James."

/Harmony\: "/In annoyance\ And a lot."

/Jokey\: "/Unhappily\ And it never smurfs."

/James\: "Indubitably."

"/Moment of silence\" (Meaning the Smurfs are still in annoyance)

/Thomas\: "Alright, let's proceed then."

"/Sound of the Engines chuffing\"

"/Sound of the Engines chuffing then coming to a stop\"

/The Engines\: "Ooh!"

/The Smurfs\: "Aah!"

"/Sound of hustling and bustling at a train yard\"

/Thomas\: "Boston sure is lovely!"

/Edward\: "And quite busy!"

/Emily\: "And that yard is quite busy indeed."

/Molly\: "Just look at those trains coming and going."

/James\: "Mostly passenger ones!"

/Percy\: "But there's one with trucks."

/Handy\: "Whoa smurf."

/Willing\: "You smurf a smurfful."

/Hefty\: "Boston is nothing compared to Tokyo."

/Grouchy\: "Or Santiago."

/Dreamy\: "Or Rome."

/Vanity\: "Oh don't be so sure."

/Tuffy\: "Awww, whatever."

/Smurfette\: "Oh, where we going to smurf?"

/Harmony\: "The same thing as we smurf in Chile, Smurfette."

/Jokey\: "Smurf a roundhouse. Where else? Hee-hee-hee."

/Thomas\: "Right, let's keep going."

"/Sound of the Engines chuffing for a while\"

/A male voice\: "Yo, wha' up!"

/Another male voice\: "Yeah, welcome!"

"/Sound of brakes screeching\"

/Thomas\: "Oh!"

/Dreamy\: "Some folks just smurfed us!"

/Edward\: "But where are they?"

/The same another male voice\: "Yo homies!"

/The same male voice\: "Over here!"

/Handy\: "Hey, look!"

/Willing\: "Wow!"

"/Moment of silence\"

/James\: "Oh, it's from those Engines!"

/Vanity\: "One tank and one tender."

/Grouchy\: "Smurfy."

"/Sound of the Engines chuffing then coming to a stop\"

/The two American Engines\: "Welcome to New England!"

/The Sodor Engines and the Smurfs\: "/Surprisingly\ New England?!"

/Percy\: "/Puzzledly\ But we thought this is North America!"

/The American tank Engine\: "It is."

/The American tender Engine\: "And New England is part of the country."

/Harmony\: "Ooh, smurfy fact."

/Jokey\: "Hee-hee, and I thought it be a joke."

/The American tender Engine\: "/GASP\ Whoa nelly!"

/The American tank Engine\: "What are those lil' blue homies?!"

/Emily\: "These are our friends, the Smurfs."

/The two American Engines\: "Smurfs?"

/Molly\: "Yes, you never heard of them, especially in stories."

/Smurfette\: "And it's kinda too much to explain."

/The two American Engines\: "Whoa!"

"/Moment of silence\"

/Thomas\: "So, this is New England, and is it a state?"

/The American tank Engine\: "Actually, it's made up of the six states of it."

/Edward\: "And what are the states?"

/The American tender Engine\: "Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut."

/James\: "And what state are we in?"

/The American tender Engine\: "Massachusetts."

/Percy\: "Ha-ha-ha, that's a funny name for a state."

/Emily\: "And we can guess that Boston is it's city?"

/The American tank Engine\: "Right, and it's also the capital."

/Molly\: "Smashing."

/The American tank Engine\: "Wha?"

/The American tender Engine\: "Hmm. Where are you homies from?"

/The Sodor Engines\: "The Island of Sodor."

/The two American Engines\: "Where's that?"

/The boy Sodor Engines\: "In the country of the U. K…."

/The girl Sodor Engines\: "And in the continent of Europe."

/The American tank Engine\: "Ahh, Europe."

/The American tender Engine\: "Such a cooly continent, and the country of the U. K. too."

/The American tank Engine\: "Are you Smurfs from the U. K.?"

/The Smurfs\: "Uhh, not really."

/The American tender Engine\: "Then where?"

/The Smurfs\: "That is classified."

/The American tender Engine\: "/Understandingly\ Ahh, private."

/The American tank Engine\: "/Respectfully\ And we respect that clearly."

/The Smurfs\: "Thank you."

"/Moment of silence\"

/Thomas\: "'Ey, since North America has a "New England", the U. K. has an "Old England"."

/The American tender Engine\: "Ho-ho-ho, rad!"

/The American tank Engine\: "But beside the Island of Sodor and Old England, what else is part of the U. K.?"

/Edward\: "Isle of Man."

/James\: "Northern Ireland."

/Percy\: "Wales."

/Emily\: "Scotland."

/Molly\: "And other islands that is so long to list."

/The two American Engines\: "Wor', dog."

/The Sodor Engines and the Smurfs\: "/Giggling\"

/The American tank Engine\: "Whoops, our intro. I'm Booker."

/The American tender Engine\: "And I'm Tucker."

/Thomas\: "I'm Thomas."

/Edward\: "I'm Edward."

/James\: "I'm James."

/Percy\: "I'm Percy."

/Emily\: "I'm Emily."

/Molly\: "And I'm Molly."

/Booker\: "Do the Smurfs have names too?"

/Thomas\: "Yes, this is my partner Dreamy."

/Dreamy\: "Hi."

/Edward\: "These are my partners Handy and Willing."

/Handy & Willing\: "Hey."

/James\: "These are my partners Grouchy and Vanity."

/Grouchy\: "Yeah hi."

/Vanity\: "Greetings."

/Percy\: "These are my partners Harmony and Jokey."

/Harmony & Jokey\: "Smurfutations."

/Emily\: "And this is me and Molly's partner Smurfette."

/Smurfette\: "Charmed and smurfed."

/Molly\: "And those two Smurfs are Hefty and Tuffy, but their partner is back at home."

/Hefty & Tuffy\: "What's up."

/Booker\: "Yo dogs."

/Tucker\: "And they sure talk differently."

/Dreamy\: "That's because we smurf in our own language, by replacing a word with "smurf" and smurfing "smurf" in a word."

/Tucker\: "Aah, cooly homie."

/Booker\: "I'll say."

"/Moment of silence\"

/Booker\: "So, are y'all here to visit or something?"

/Thomas\: "Oh yes."

/Edward\: "And we can also lend a helping, umm, coupler."

/Tucker\: "Oh nice. We sure could use some help."

/Booker\: "Yeah, some of our homies are out of service for maintenance and other."

/Tucker\: "And we suppose that you homies know your stuff, right?"

/James\: "But of course."

/Percy\: "We always manage to pull coaches and trucks."

/Tucker\: "Say wha?!"

/Booker\: "Y'all pull trucks?!"

/The Sodor Engines\: "Obviously."

/Booker\: "Really and seriously?!"

/Tucker\: "You mean those trucks over there?"

"/Moment of silence\"

"/Sound of one of the truck motoring away\"

/Emily\: "Whoa, those are trucks?!"

/Molly\: "/Laughing\ No, those aren't the trucks we're talking about!"

/Booker & Tucker\: "Then which are they?"

/The Sodor Engines\: "Those."

"/Moment of silence\"

/Booker & Tucker\: "Ohhh."

/Booker\: "So, where y'all from, y'all call them "trucks"?"

/The Sodor Engines\: "Yes."

/Tucker\: "Well, here's a fact. In this country, we call them "freight cars"."

/The Sodor Engines\: "Freight cars?!"

/The Smurfs\: "Wow!"

/Edward\: "Seems to us that our home countries have two different English ways."

/Booker\: "Looks that way."

/The Smurfs\: "Whoa, smurfy."

"/Moment of silence\"

/James\: "So, you all call those big vehicles "trucks" 'ey, well in the U. K., we call them "lorries"."

/Booker\: "Whoa."

/Tucker\: "Good to know."

/Percy\: "Sooo… oh, what you all call that train carrying cargo and stuff?"

/Tucker\: "We call them "freight trains"."

/Emily\: "Well we call them "goods trains"."

/Tucker\: "Rad. And what y'all call that last car of that freight train?"

/Molly\: "We call them a "brake van"."

/Booker\: "Well we call them a "caboose"."

/Dreamy\: "Ohh. /To himself\ But we Smurfs already know that when we used to have Handy's rail-smurfer."

/Tucker\: "Hmm. Oh, what y'all call the rail transport of conveyance of passengers and freight by means of wheeled vehicles?"

/Thomas\: "We call it a "railway"."

/Booker\: "Well we call it a "railroad"."

/Edward\: "Fascinating."

/Tucker\: "Uhh… ah, what y'all call these rectangular objects used as a base for the tracks?"

/James\: "We call them "sleepers"."

/Booker\: "Well we call them "ties"."

/Percy\: "Ooh."

/Booker\: "And how 'bout… oh, that junction track?"

/Emily\: "It's "points"."

/Tucker\: "Here, it's "switches"."

/Molly\: "Smashing."

/Thomas\: "And… oh, a person in charge of a passenger train?"

/The American Engines\: "'Conductor'."

/The Sodor Engines\: "'Guard'."

/Edward\: "One last one, a spare engine that pushes heavy trains up on grades?"

/The American Engines\: "'Helper engine'."

/The Sodor Engines\: "'Bank engine'."

/Hefty\: "Wowie, that's a smurfy lesson."

/Tuffy\: "I smurf to that."

/Tucker\: "A rad lesson fo' sure."

/Booker\: "Wor' dog."

/The Smurfs\: "/Yawning\"

/The Sodor Engines\: "/Yawning\"

/Booker\: "Whoa, y'all homies look tired."

/Handy\: "Sure are."

/Willing\: "And it's all from that ocean journey we smurfed."

/Tucker\: "Well then, we'll show y'all to our roundhouse."

/Thomas\: "Thank you both."

/Booker & Tucker\: "Follow us."

"/Sound of the American Engines chuffing follow by the Sodor Engines\"

/At the roundhouse\

/Dreamy\: "Hah, this is a smurfy roundhouse."

/Thomas\: "Indeed to that."

/Booker\: "Y'all have a rad snooze."

/Tucker\: "Yeah, y'all need the energy to help us."

/Edward\: "Obviously."

/Handy & Willing\: "Smurf you all in the morning."

/The rest of the Sodor Engines and Smurfs\: "Indeed."

/The Sodor Engines and the Smurfs\: "/Yawning and then snoring\"

/Tucker\: "Ha-ha, they sure are tired."

/Booker\: "Wor' playa, and they'll indeed be a big help."

/Tucker\: "Fo' real dog, fo' real."

/Booker\: "Holla'."

/The Sodor Engines and the Smurfs\: "/Snoring\"
