Chapter 13 Attack on Titan (Encounter)
A slender figure travel amongst the trees, hopping from branch to branch at a steady pace, dressed in a elegant thigh high, floral yukata, long raven hair tied up in a pony tail flowing behind.
Hearing the sound of horses approaching her direction, at a rapid pace she stop on a branch close to their path then hop down to see the animals. Only to see they have riders and wonder why humans would venture out in the middle of nowhere full of mutated giant humans.
They're dressed in similar garments with some type of metal device strapped to their thighs. She watch their serious expressions turn to surprise at seeing her, probably shock at seeing a woman so far out from their cage walls by herself and still alive.
She watch them ride by, most turn their head to stare at her.
She glance the way they came sensing some giant humans approaching, luckily they're quite a distant away.
'They're following the group of humans' she muse then turn to leap back into the tree but a voice stop her.
"Wait, a youthful voice address her with the sound of horse hooves approaching her, do you have a death wish or something lady, you can't just be walking around in titan infested area!"
Turning, blue piercing eyes meets grass green.
"Though I appreciate your concern, child, I'll be just fine" she turn to leave then other horses join the boy.
"You're coming with us, a raven hair rider, sporting a scowl states, don't be difficult and come willing or by force"
"Um, isn't that a bit much captain Levi?" a young blond question timid.
"This is why we don't interact with these humans anymore, she mumbles softly, as entertaining as it would be to watch you argue I have things to do before my absence gets notice"
"You're not leaving brat" the raven hair male-Levi dismount and approach her. The others watch on in silence, few wear guilty expressions.
"You're the brat and you're starting to annoy me, so I'm giving one warning, leave me be" her gaze shift for a second to a older blond male, observing wordlessly with a stone expression.
Levi reach out to grab her only for their eyes to widen when she shift then trust a palm to his chest sending him flying to land near his horse with a loud thud.
"I don't want to hurt you people but I forgot how stupid humans can be, she leaps backwards and land on the branch overhead, without effort, goodbye" she speed off into the trees.
"Don't just sit there gaping like idiots, we're going after her" Levi orders getting up.
"Yes sir" they snap to attention.
Levi and a select few take to the trees in pursuit, a loud thump was heard ahead then a loud growl follow as a giant animal comes into view through the trees.
"What the hell is that?!"
"Is that an abnormal titan?!"
"It looks like a-"
"Shut up and focus on the task at hand, Levi cuts off the panic and fear shouts behind him, which is to capture the woman"
"Is she really worth it?!"
"What about that-"
"We won't engage unless necessary"
"Yes captain" they voice their understanding unease.
They came to a stop at the tree line, seeing open plain and the woman some distance away, walking to the giant fox that begins to shrink in size, unafraid.
Levi motion for his subordinates to stay in the trees, they watch the fox's nine tails sway lazily as the woman make hand gestures while talking to it. Further witness it shake its large head then burst into flames, shrinking more until it take the form of a human male to their continue surprise.
The male glance in their direction, Levi can see him smirk at them with emerald eyes gleaming, despite the distance.
The woman said something gaining the male's attention. The red head look sheepish at her words then pouts. Levi couldn't hear what they're saying given the distance but he feels annoy for some reason.
The male make a hand motion and a black space open near the duo. The woman rest her hands on slender hips saying something then walks into the dark crack disappearing. The male laugh then wave at them before stepping in and the space seems to mend behind him.
Levi glare then frowns, 'What a waste of time, should've knock her out when I had the chance, or not, maybe its for the best if that thing would've come after her'
"We're heading back" he commands ignoring their relieve expression, 'Erwin well at least be intrigue by this.'
Omake
Kagome Pov
Reaching the forest edge she jump to the ground, while in freefall a portal open and Shippo in yokai form come through with heavy paws and a growl. Landing softly then with inhuman speed Kagome close the space between them.
"What are you doing here Shippo?" she starts to walk leisurely once within yards of each other.
"I was bored and when I went to find you, you weren't in the estate so I decide to track you down, since you always get in the most entertaining situations when you go out, the danger magnet that you are" he reply telepathic.
"Seriously, I'm not a danger magnet, now Sesshomaru will also notice I'm gone because you follow me" she flail her arms wildly.
Shippo shakes his head with an amuse chuckle then transform into his humanoid form. The kitsune shift his attention to the humans (well two doesn't feel all human) watching from the (large) tree line, with a smirk.
"You find this amusing right, if I get in trouble with Sesshomaru, I'll tell Rin about last week, she huffs at his sheepish expression, so ignore the dumb humans and open a portal for me"
Shippo pouts but do as told.
"I mean it, Kagome rest pale hands on her hips, eyes narrow, you better not go after them, follow right behind me or else" the Miko then walk into the portal.
Shippo laugh despite the seriousness of her words then wave at his would-be new playthings, 'oh well maybe next time' he step into the portal going home.
