"Do you think it's safe now," Kagome said tired, She hardly slept. He sang out all night.

Miroku ran his hand through his hair, he too was very tired, "Well, the sun is up,"

"I dont hear him anymore," She said coming to stand next to him.

They had not heard him at all.

Miroku waved the barrier down and they waited. Nothing.

"Let's go back," Sango said,

Dew was still fresh on the earth as they walked back. Kagome could hardly keep her eyes open. She needed sleep.

They made it back and Kaede was waiting. Inuyasha had not returned. She said nothing and they did not ask.

"Ye look tired," Kaede said to Kagome,

"Come on Kagome," Sango helped her inside.

"Long night?" Kaede asked,

Miroku sighed, "Indeed," Sounding like Sesshomaru, "Lord Sesshomaru struggled last night,"

Kaede raised both eyebrows, "He came for her?" She asked,

"More like to warn her to stay put,"

She tilted her head,

"Then he transformed and cried out, Kagome spent the rest of the night covering her ears and rocking back and forth," He sat down on the steps on her home and leaned back.

"She could hear him," Kaede said,

"We did not hear a thing," He closed his eyes.

Sango came out, "She is fast asleep,"

"Let her rest, me thinks tonight will be no better,"

Both women looked over when they heard light snoring. Miroku had fallen asleep too.

An hour later Inuyasha came back, adjusting his clothes as he did. He paused when he saw Miroku sleeping, "Did I miss something?" He asked,

"Did we miss something, "Sango asked, making Inuyasha blush.

"It was a long night for everyone," Kaede stated,

"Where is Kagome?" Inuyasha asked,

"Resting," Kaede told him,

"Let me guess, a bunch of demons came for her?"

Sango crossed her arms, "Sesshomaru made sure they did not get close," She said,

Inuyasha growled slightly, "My brother was here?"

"Why are you mad?" Sango asked,

He looked away, "I could have sworn I heard him last night,"

Just then Rin came bursting out of the woods with Jaken trying to catch up behind her.

"Lady Kagome, Lord Inuyasha!" She called out. This woke Miroku who sat up straight.

"Rin?" Sango asked,

Kagome hearing her name being called stepped outside the hut rubbing her eyes, "Is everything ok?"

"It's Sesshomaru's brat," Inuyasha told her.

Hearing Inuyasha's voice woke her up and then she noticed Rin, "Rin?"

"It's most awful," Rin said,

"Rin!" Jaken snapped but she ignored him.

"What's wrong?" Kagome asked coming closer to the child.

"Lord Sesshomaru is missing!"

"K, maybe he died," Inuyasha said,

"Sit," Kagome knelt down as Inuyasha went face-first into the dirt. "What makes you think he is missing?" Kagome asked. Maybe he found a girl?

"He isn't missing!" Jaken snapped annoyed but Rin was crying.

Miroku walked up, using his staff to aid. "Do you know where he is?" He asked Jaken,

"Of course I do!"

"Well, why not tell her?" Kagome asked with confusion on her face. Sesshomaru left the two a lot, so something was off.

"Its a place she can not go!" He snapped,

Kagome looked at Rin, "Jaken knows where he is,"

Rin sniffled, "He isn't safe," She said,

"Rin!" Jaken yelled,

Kagome took the child's hands "Why do you think that?"

"Lord Sesshomaru was really tired and his eyes were red, and then his mother showed up," She told him.

"His mother?" Sango asked coming to join them.

"Lady Moon mother took my Lord,"

Inuyasha crossed his arms "Ha, probably worried he would rutt with a human, she probably had his strung up,"

Kagome growled as the child cried out.

"Sit!" She snapped. A little for Rin, a little for Sesshomaru, and a lot for herself.

"He probably isn't fighting her," Miroku said, "In fact, he may have sought her help,"

Rin sniffed, "Rin I promise, it's ok, he will be back," Kagome told her.

"Come child," Kaede held out her hand for Rin.

Kagome stood and waited for Rin to be inside.

Miroku looked at her, "Maybe you will get some sleep tonight,"

"I doubt I'll hear him if he is far away," She told Miroku,

"But we should still seal," He told her,

"What do you mean hear him?" Inuyasha asked,

Kagome turned to him, "I heard him,"

Inuyasha's ears twitched, "What was he doing here?" He asked,

"He came to warn me,"

"And to protect her," Sango said,

"K, that bastard dont protect no one but that little twig of a kid,"

"Sit," Kagome said flat.

Miroku sighed "You are a glutton for punishment, my friend,"
