It has been a few days sauce the defeat of Dantooine,and here I am in Coruscant.Anakin insisted that I stay in the Solo apartment,and Leia agrees.Jacen and Jaina were not as happy.I was in there kitchen looking for Uj cake when I heard Jacen speak up."Anakin,is it really wise to have Strill here?"I heard Anakin's voice answer in an irritated tone,"Yes Jacen.He is an ally."I heard Jaina voice next,"Our you confident?He just showed up,and even if Mara trusts him,her mind might be a little foggy due to the virus."I found the Uj cake and walked out of the kitchen,"I can hear you guys."Immediately,Jacen and Jaina got up and started talking at the same time.I held up a hand,"Relax.Your mistrust of me is smart,and I approve of it.However,Anakin is right.You can trust me not to betray you."I started toward the door,"Know if you will excuse me,I have a torture session to attend."

An hour later,I was in a senate meeting,next to Leia Solo.Being tortured.Being the "expert" on anything Vong related,I have been invited to tell the senate what I know.There was another person there,a female human named Danni Quee.We told the senate all that we knew,but none of the senators really wanted to do anything,insisting that it is a local problem.I was struggling to keep my anger in check,when the Caamasi senator Elegos A'Kla stood up,"Clearly the Vuuzhan Vong are a threat,however,we do not understand this enemy.I request to the senate that I go to the Vuuzhan Vong as an ambassador,and try to understand there culture.Hopefully,it will lead to a peaceful solution."I was surprised a senator actually wanted to do something,but then the Bothan Chief of State Borsk Fey'lya stood up,"I refuse!This is a ridiculous plan..."Then to everybody's shock,I stood up and cut off the Chief of State,"Borsk,our you that dumb?Our are you a di'kut on purpose.Elegos is trying to take action,unlike the rest of you.You are trying to win a political victory,when there is a war going on.Get your act together,all of you,or there will be no senate to return to."Everybody was silent for a little,before Leia stood up,"I agree with Elegos A'Kla's plan.Borsk huffed,"I will not oppose it,but know I highly dislike it."And with that the meeting was adjourned.I was walking out with Leia when she suddenly spoke up,"I didn't think you will back up Elegos A'Kla."I took off my helmet and scratched my head,"That is an interesting train of thought."Leia smiled slightly,"One more thing,you our invited to the Jedi meeting tomorrow.Anakin insisted."I nodded,knowing that I have another meeting to attend.

I was sitting in an atrium in the Jedi temple,listening to Luke Skywalker talk about his defensive policy.On the flip side,Kyp Durron was talking about going offensively.I leaned close to Anakin to my left,"Who do you agree with?"Anakin answered me immediately,"Uncle Luke,of course."That was a lie.I could tell that he wanted to take offense action.I know what I wanted to do.I stood up,again,and addressed all the jedi,"Luke,I think your plan is a load of bantha poodoo.You must not defend,and not attack.If just keep defending and not attacking,you will lose planets,and will only delay a defeat."I saw Kyp's triumphant face,and I continued taking,"However,a purely offense strategy will not work either.You must have a defense,and not just purely attack.I say,Luke,that you allow the Jedi to fight against the Vong as they see hit,with you only giving the occasional orders."There was silence as people mulled over my speech,but Luke shook his head head,"And risk Jedi falling to the dark side?The risk is too great."I nodded in acceptance,"It is your order,not mine."The meeting was rather boring after that,with Corran Horn being the only Jedi given a mission.When I was walking to the courtyard,I heard Anakin grumbling from behind me."I can't believe I don't get a mission!I have to file reports."I took off my helmet and favored him with an amused smile,"I am not going on a mission either,so I will help you file reports."He returned my smile,"I hoped you will ask."

I was in the data room with Anakin,making sure all of the Jedi were where they needed to be."Jacen,Corran,and Ganner are good.Jaina's good.."I tuned Anakin out as I went through my helmet files,gave up,and tried to start a conversation."Do you have any friends?"Anakin looked at me shocked,"Of course.You,Corran,Warrior..."I cut him off,"I mean friends you age."He smiled,"I have a few,but I only have one worth mentioning."

"Really?Can I have a name?"

"Wait,"Anakin said,sounding troubled."Daechara'cor is not were she needs to be."I leaned in closer and read the data he showed me,"We should tell Luke."He nodded and we ran to where Luke and Mara are.Mara saw us before Luke did,"Anakin!Strill!Is everything all right?"When I saw her,I opted to vocalize what everybody was thinking,"Mara,you aren't looking so good."Mara tried to shrug it off,"The disease is really annoying,but what can I do?"Luke glanced at Anakin,"I sense you have something to tell me."Anakin nodded,"We found out that Daechara'cor is not where she needs to be.She was supposed to board this shuttle," Anakin handed him a datapad that held the shuttle information,"but went on to a different one."Luke and Mara shared a look,then Luke spoke,"She was very close to Miko,and maybe his death makes her want vengeance."I cocked my head to the left,"Probably.We should go to the port and try to get information about the ship,mainly where it was heading."Luke nodded,"That is a good idea.Me and Strill will go to the docks,while you and Mara see what you can find here."Anakin looked like he was about to argue,but he nodded in agreement.

A few minutes later,me and Luke were in the hanger,looking around for a lead.I looked around before spotting a strongly built man in the dock.From the way he looked around,it was obvious that he observes things.I turned to Luke,"See that guy over there?He might k ow something."Luke glanced at me and smiled,"Funny.I was about to say the same thing."I smiled under my helmet and togheter we marched over to the man.I have to respect the fact that when the man saw us,he did not scream and run away.After all,it is not everyday you see a man in beskar armor with the grandmaster of the Jedi order walk up to you."What can I help you people with?"I looked at the man,and debated whenever threatening him will work."What is your name?"

"Chalco"

"Well Chalco,you better tell us what we want or else I will skin you alive and feed you to the bantha's..."

My rant was interrupted my Luke Skywalker, who stepped forward,"Sorry for that.Tell us what we need to know,and we will give you what you want."Chalco nodded and with a trembling voice,said,"Y-Yes of course."I smiled and spoke,"Relax,just follow us and tell us what we ask."

An hour later,me,Anakin,Luke,Mara,Chalco,and Mirax were on a ship,going to the Cathedral of Winds.We discovered that Daechara'cor wanted to make a super weapon to wipe out the Vong,and who else is to ask them the best living expert on them."It will be nice to see Qwi Xux again," Luke said absently.I shook my head,"She will not want to help.Believe me,after Kyp brain bashed her,nothing will want her to go back to super weapons."Mirax called out from the pilot seat,"We are here,everybody."Mara nodded,"Alright,Anakin,Strill,and Chalco will stay."Anakin's eyes widened,"I have to babysit a bunch of old people?"Chalco looked offended,"I am not that old."I snorted and removed my helmet,"Uncle Anakin,tell me a story."Anakin scoffed.When we arrived,I turned in a table in the ship and put on a dejarik board."Come on.First to beat me will get 1000 credits."Chalco and Anakin's eyes widened and rushed to get to the other seat.I smiled.This is going to be fun.

When the rest of the party returned,they saw a very frustrated Anakin and Chalco.Luke frowned at them,"What is wrong."Anakin glared at me and struggled to make sure his anger didn't show,"Strill just beat both of us in dejarik 5 times in a row!"Chalco sighed,"I was never good at the game."I smiled,"Actually,Anakin almost got me in the last one."Mara sighed,"Alright guys,if you were Daechara'cor,where would you hide out."I thought about it for a little,then me and Anakin spoke at the same time,"Garos IV."Mirax nodded and ran to put the coordinates into the navicomputer.I smiled at Anakin,impressed.He smiled back,and we headed to Garos IV.

When we arrived on Garos IV,Luke turned to us,"Strill,Anakin,and Chalco,watch the ship."I heard Anakin groan,"Again?"Mara smiled,amused,"Trust us,you will not be missing anything."Anakin snorted and sat down,and I turned to Mara,"Take care."She nodded,"You too."When they left I flopped on the couch and Chalco said,"You guys want to explore a little?"Anakin nodded and jumped to his feet,"Of course!Strill,are you coming?"I shook my head as I eased off my helmet,"I will stay behind and watch the ship.Chalco take this."I handed him a vial of antique tracking dust.He frowned,"What is this."

"It is called Dust.I used it on a mission on Coruscant years age.Swallow it,and I will be able to track you."

Chalco looked a little uneasy,but he swallowed it,gave some to Anakin and they went off. I smiled and let my self fall asleep.I woke up a little bit later,and I noticed that Anakin was separated from Chalco,but Chalco was approaching him quickly.That could only mean one thing.It meant that Anakin was captured,and Chalco was going to rescue him.I put on my helmet,and ran to where Anakin was.When I got there,the door was locked.I took out my weapons,and chopped the door open.Inside there was a tied up Anakin and Chalco,and next to them was a twi'lek.She was Daechara'cor.She snarled at me,"Our you here to rescue them too?"I nodded,"You could surrender."She laughed,"When I am so close to my goal?Never!"I sighed as she charged at me.I put my weapons away because I don't think Luke will want me to kill her.She brought her lightsaber down in a slash,and I blocked it with my forearm,before knocking her out with one clean punch in the chin.I untied Anakin and Chalco and called Mara,"Mission completed.The package is unconscious."

"How did you find her?Never mind,just meet us back on the ship.The republic has the help of the Empire and Chiss.The Vong are going to attack Ithor."

I respond with a click and cut off the link.I turned to Anakin and slung Daechara'cor in my back."Come on guys.We have to go."

A few hours later,we all arrived on a ship near Ithor.All the Jedi were there,except Mara due to her sickness.There was also a Ithorian priest there,who is going to bless us to allow us to step foot on Ithor.The priest looked at all of us,the spoke,"To step foot on Ithor and to make sure you do more harm than good to Mother Nature,you must admit your mortal flaws."He paused and looked around,and I realized that he wanted it know.One by one,people started saying there flaws.Luke:responsibility.Ganner:pride.Anakin:Grief.Daechara'cor:revenge.What about me?Then a thought hit me,and I acted on it.I stepped forward and said in my loudest voice,"I give up distancing.I have distanced myself from self from love,and have not got close to anybody.I realize I have friends,and will not push them away."When I was done,I put an arm on Anakin's shoulder.I did not admit this myself that time,but that was when I stated subconsciously seeing Anakin as a son.

After the ceremony,I went to Ithor with everybody else,and was going to a war council with the head of the Empire and Luke.I didn't expect the head of the Empire to be my old friend Gilad Pellaeon."Gilad!Remember me?I am Strill."Gilad looked at me,then smiled,"Yes I do.Hallena spoke highly of you."Luke coughed,"I am sorry to interrupt the reunion,but we have a battle to plan."Gilad looked at him,"Yes,forgive me.You have the whole imperial fleet at your disposal."I smiled at him,and too off my helmet,"Yes.Shadeo Shai has already proven to us he is a good tactician.I have to say that he will attack in three days."Luke was about to say something,but then Corran Horn and Wedge Antilles barged in.Corran threw a skull that was decorated with jewels in the table."Those bitches killed Elegos A'Kla!"Wedge nodded,"We found his body,and a message from Shadeo.He says he will attack soon and wants to duel with are best warrior."Corran snarled in anger,"Luke,let me do it!"Luke shook his head,"If I let you,you will fall to the dark side."Gilad smiled,a little amused,"So what do we do?Refuse him?"I shook my head,"I will fight Shadeo."Immediately,everybody stare at me.I braced myself for a refusal,but none came.Gilad shook his head,"I do not like this.But we can use this to are advantage."Luke looked at him,"We can?"Wedge nodded,"If we can barter with him,and tell him that we will duel him as long as he promises to let Ithor go if he wins.That will be a plus."Corran looked a lot more controlled now,"Strill,of you duel him,meet him on the mountain range near the coast."I nodded and left the meeting.When I left,I was greeted by a very depressed looking Anakin."How much classified information in a classified meeting did you get?"We looked at me guiltily,"Enough to know that you plan to duel Shadeo."I nodded,"I have to kid."He swallowed and wiped away tears,"Just...Stay alive,okay?"I smiled and patted him on the back,knowing that I have some preparing to do.

Two days later,the Vong landed.When everybody else was fighting,me,Luke,and Mara were in a ship about to meet Shadeo.I was suited up and weaponed up,in case thing got bloody.I walked out the ship ramp and saw Shadeo standing about five meter in front of me.He was wearing different,stronger armor then the soliders at Dantooine,but not as strong as the Warmaster that so killed.It must mean that he is not as high as the Warmaster,but higher then a regular solider in the chain of command.He stared at me,"Infidel.You are not the one I wanted."I spread out my hands,"You asked for are best warrior,and you got him."Shadeo hissed and took off his helmet,revealing a scarred,tattooed,and mangled face."I wanted the Jeedai Corran Horn."I smiled as I came up with a quick plan.I took off my helmet,and noticed that he stared at my scarred face with a surprised look."If you win,Shadeo,the republic will leave Ithor and let you take it over.You will also get a chained up Corran Horn for you to play with.But if I win the Vuuzhan Vong leave Ithor and do not come back."Shadeo cocked his head,then nodded,"I accept.When will the duel start?"

"Seven standard days."

Shadeo nodded,the spoke again,"How did you get those scars,infidel?I have never seen an infidel with a face like yours."I frowned at his request,"I made them myself,as a reminder."Shadeo smiled,and spoke with an undertone of grudging respect,"Then maybe not all infidels are hopeless."With that he turned around and left in his coralskipper,and I left on to the ship.

I exhaled and tried to keep my cool as I sat down is a chair,facing Borsk Fey'lya.The battle was cut short due to the fact that my duel with Shadeo will decide Ithor's fate.After explaining it to him,me and Luke Skywalker were waiting for him to say no.We were not disappointed."Absolutely not.This is some sort of Jedi scheme to win public admiration!"Luke rubbed his temples,"Strill is not a Jedi.And so you want to save Ithor or not?"Borsk snarled,"I still refuse!"I slammed my fist to the table in frustration,then picked Borsk up by the neck and slammed him to the wall."Listen di'kut,"I said in a low tone,"I do what I want.If you try to stop me,you are dead.And yes I am threatened you."Luke's face was a study of shock,but he stayed silent."Borsk nodded in submission,and I dropped him and walked out the door.Luke followed me and sighed,"That was an interesting solution."

"It worked."

He smiled,then he looked like he remembered something unpleasant,"Go to the medbay."With those words he left,and I decided to go to the medbay.When I went to the medbay,I saw Anakin over the body of Daechara'cor,weeping.I walked over to him and coughed to get his attention.He turned to me but didn't say anything,just let the tears roll across his eyes.I finally decided to break the silence,"Are you okay,kid?"He looked at me like it was the most stupid question ever,"a Daechara'cor died because of me!She died to save my life,just like Chewbacca!When are people going to stop dying because of me?"He started sobbing again,and I put a hand on both of his shoulders."I will not tell you that there deaths were not your fault.If you believe that okay,and maybe it is true.However,they died for a reason,and that reason was that you can live.Use the chance they gave you,and fight the Vuuzhan Vong."He looked at me,tears in his eyes,and sighed,"Why are you the only one that cares,Strill?I just want you to know,that if you don't make it against Shadeo,that you have been a father to me."I swallowed,and felt a strange moistness in my eyes I have not felt for year.They were tears of happiness."Thanks kid.You are like a son to me too."With those final words,I left to ready myself for a duel.

When I arrives at the spot of the duel,only me,Corran,Shadeo,and his subordinate he introduced as Deign Liam were there.Shadeo gave me a nod,and I nodded back,signaling to start the fight.We meet,lightsaber and amphistaff.I tried to gut him with my gun,but he kicked me and rolled backwards.I fired a few shots at him,but his armor absorbed the impact.We meet our blades again,but his time his other arm socked me in the neck,and his amphistaff his me in the side.The impact sent me to the ground and he immediately pressed the advantage.I blocked his fist two strikes,and in the third I kicked him in the face and stabbed at his knee.His armor deflected most of it,but it made a little contact with his knee.I used that slight advantage to press offensively,and was rewarded with Shadeo dancing to my side and kicked me in the knee and slamming his amphistaff to my head.Stars exploded in my skull as I staggered backwards,then fell because of my dislocated knee.Shadeo charged me,but I gave a perfect shot at his armpit,giving me enough time to set my knee back and to stand up.He roared in anger and nearly skewed me through the arm,but only slammed into it.I heard the snap of broken bone as my forearm shattered,but I ignored the pain.I purposely acted like I was in pain,and like I expected,Shadeo swung his amphistaff at me.I ducked under it,and stabbed him in the armpit.He grunted as I kicked him to the ground.I kicked off his helmet and stabbed him with my lightsaber,killing him.I turned to Deign and threw Shadeo's body at his feet,"Take his body and go."He shook his head,"I have no interest in the body."

"Then leave."

As soon as he left,I stumbled to Corran,and passed out from the pain.

One standard week later,I was back in my feet.I was really mad when I learned that Corran took the blame for Ithor's fall,and that everybody know hates the Jedi.I was mad,but he threw some mystic stuff about having a vision of my future and that bad things will happen if I leave.I accepted it,and he left to go to the Errant Venture with his father in law.Anakin was overjoyed that I survived,and I was visited by him,Jacen,Jania,Luke,Mara,and Leia.I do not know what the future holds for me,but my destiny is getting closer.I can feel it in my bones.

A/N:I thought of having Corran duel Shadeo,but I wanted my stories to focus more on Strill.Things will get a lot more creative and fun when I get past my version of Edge of Victory:Rebirth.I will make two more sequels after this,and maybe some short stories.
