I was sitting in a forest,on Kashyyyk,listening to an older Wookiee talk.I was in Chewbacca's funeral,along with the rest of the Skywalkers and Solos.To be honest,I never liked funerals.They seem pointless,just leave the body and that is it.After the Wookiee made his speech,people started dispersing and going to the fear hall.I motioned Anakin to go ahead,and I walked up to Han Solo.I saw Jaina was already there,and she turned and walked over to me.She lowered her voice,"Please try to comfort him.It is hard to see him like this."I nodded,"I will try."She smiled at me,then walked away to the feast table.I sat down next to Han and smiled,"Hey solo.Penny for your thoughts?"He looked at me like he just realized that I was there,"I should never have put Anakin as the pilot."I bristled at the comment,but before I could reprimand him,he cut me off,"What I meant is that I would have gone after Chewbacca,and all of us would be dead."I sighed,amazed at the shortsightedness of people,"Anakin made the right choice.He picked the life of him,you,and a bunch of refugees over one life.You are being selfish and dumb right know Solo.You have a family.Go to them and talk."Han scowled at my tone,"Don't you dare say that to me.Why are you even here?"I started getting angry,reminded myself this is Anakin's dad,and took a deep breath,"I do not know.Anakin insisted."Han snorted and got up.He walked over to the walkways,and I let him be.I saw Leia walk over to me,and she pointed to where Han was,indicating that she will talk to him.I nodded,and went to the feast table.When I arrived,I saw Anakin and the solo twins sitting on a table,with four plates of food.I walked over to the empty seat with the plate and sat down."This for me,"I asked.Anakin nodded,"I know you like food,so I made sure I brought a lot of it."I nodded my thanks,and took off my helmets.The four of us are in silence,grief filled for Jacen and Jaina,but accepting from Anakin.
A few hours after the funeral,I was in the Jade Shadow with Luke,Anakin,and Jacen.Jacen was with Luke in the cockpit,pontificating or something of the sort.I was in the dining room,eating some food,while going through my messages.There was nothing interesting,and then I saw Anakin sit down next to me."I am bored," he complained,"There is nothing to do."I smiled as I put some food in my mouth,"Check your messages.That keeps me entertained."To prove my point I grabbed his comlink and pressed play on the first message.There was not a holo button,but an irritated female voice popped out,"Anakin Solo.Do you have time to call your best friend?It is boring with our you here,and I have sent you so many messages."Anakin grew red and snatched the comlink away from me,"We don't talk about that."I smiled,"Fine."
When we arrived in Coruscant,there was nothing to do exempt for watch Anakin and make sure he doesn't do something stupid.After a little bit of time,we went to there apartment,and saw Leia sitting there.Leia smiled at us,"Hey guys,what are you guys going to do?"Anakin shrugged,"He is pretty much my bodyguard,so he just follows me."I grunted at the comparison,and Leia smiled,"Well Han is going to hanger 16,in case you are wondering."I smiled,"Well I guess we can take the Falcon for a joy ride,ehh?"I turned around to see Anakin bolting down the hallway.I smiled apologetically at Leia,and raced after him.
When I caught up to Anakin,he was at hanger 16.He opened the door,and I followed him.In there was a ship,and two guys in the cockpit.One was Han Solo,and I didn't know the second guy.Han noticed us and walked down the ramp,"So Anakin,did Leia tell you to come here?"Anakin smiled and brought out some sort of tool,"Actually,I came to bring you this."He tried to hand the tool to Han,but he just stared at it,"It is a survival tool.Chewbacca made it," Anakin explained.Han swallows and looked conflicted,and I could tell that he didn't want it.However,he didn't want to widen the gulf between him and Anakin,so he just took it out of his hands,"Thanks Anakin."He then turned to me and clasped my shoulder,"Keep my son safe," he whispered to me.I nodded,and Han looked satisfied and left.We stared at the ship as it departed and I felt a beeping from my helmet comlink.I blinked three times,fast,to activate the message."Strill,we have a mission for you," a voice said.I grunted,"Who is this?"
"Republic Intelligence,we found a Vuuzhan Vong defector and her familiar,and they want to see the Jedi.You have been chosen to watch over them as they covertly make there way to the rendezvous point.Meet us at Wayland."
I thought about it for a little,then sighed,"Fine I will be there in two days."
I shut off the comlink,then turned around to tell Anakin.I told Anakin about my mission,and he liked dejected,"Just come back alive,okay?"I smiled,"Kid,I plan to.After all,somebody has it single-handedly win the war."
Two days later,I arrived on Wayland.I walked over to a medical facility and spoke,"I have schizophrenic thoughts."The doctor looked up,"Why didn't you go to the other medical facility?"
"It didn't take my insurance."
The doctor nodded,"Left hallway,third door."I nodded and went into the door.Inside there was two human males and a Vuuzhan Vong woman.I walked in,set down my bag (which help my weapons and armor) and walked over to the male to the left,"That is the defector?Didn't know the Vong had such people."The male to the left smiled,"Yes,she is a bit better looking than the others."I kept my face impassive as the man just showed me how incompetent he is.I turned to the other man,"Where is the defector's familiar?"
"Downstairs."
I nodded and walked over to the defector,"You go a name,lady?"She smiled flirtatiously at me,"Elan.I thought they were going to put somebody young on me."I blinked at the offense,"I am only 58.Why did you defect,and what is your goal."She blinked slowly,"I do not approve of this war.It goes against the gods wishes,Yun-Yuuzhan himself gave me a vision.As for what is my cause.I want to see the Jedi.I have information involving a disease my people gave to one of them."I realized that she was talking about Mara,but she was hiding something.Her blink rate was slightly off,and her breathing was a millisecond faster."You are hiding something," I said to her,"Tell me know,or I kill you and send you to your gods."Her eyes frosted over,"You should be more polite," she said coldly,"I am trying to help you."Before I could respond,I heard an alarm blare.The man to the left eye's widened,"The Vong have ambushed this place!"Elan suddenly looked scared,"There after me!Don't let them kill me," she wailed.I saw a Vong solider run in and stab the two men in the face with his amphistaff.I cursed as I went against a cannoned up Vong solider bare handed.As he tried to stab me,I grabbed his amphistaff bare handed and pulled him forward.I used my fingers to pick his eyes and keep going until they touched under his nose.I yanked back and tore out his front part of his face.I then stabbed it into his showing brain,killing him.Just then some soldiers came running in,"Sir!The Vong have retreated!"I frowned,"This was too easy."I turned to Elan,"Come on princess.You and your familiar are coming with me to Myrkr.We have a ship to catch."
We were on a ship,heading it Myrkr,to board the Queen of the Empire,an old cruise ship.I tried to interrogate Elan,but it was clear she was not going to give me any information,so I let her be.I went over to where her familiar was,and I was surprised by what is looked like."A Fosh,I haven't seen one of you guys for years."The Fosh looked surprised,"I am surprised you recognize me.My name is Vergere."I nodded,"Vergere.That name sounds familiar."Vergere stiffened slightly,"Oh?"I nodded,"Mace Windu mentioned that name to Yoda."I shook my head,"It doesn't matter.You have no information.I can tell."I walked away,still feel I by as if I should remember her.
We were on a base on Myrkr,and I was watching Elan out on an ooglith masquer.It was a Vuuzhan Vong disguise tool,and it was the best we could do to disguise her.I was starting at her naked body,armor and fully cannoned up,emotion less to her painful moaning.She was fully disguise a few second later,and Vergere handed her a coat.I walked to where they were and spoke,"We are boarding the Queen of Empire.It will bring us to the rendezvous point.We are refugees misplaced from Serpindal.Vergere is my servant-"
"As always," Vergere chimed.I glanced at her in annoyance,"-and Elan will be my wife."Elan frowned at me.I was a little unsettled by her sudden change in appearance,and she looks a lot like a human."I am unfamiliar with wifely duties," she said.I smiled under my helmet,"You just have to shut up and do what I tell you."Her eyes frosted over,"Very well sir," she said frostily.I chuckled,"We are arriving in four hours,so practice you idiot act."Four hours later,we were about to board the Queen of Empire.The customs officer glanced at my bag,which contained all of my armor and weapons."That thing is pretty heavy."I shrugged,"I need to work out."He nodded and it passed through the scanner without detection,because of the tech disrupters I put in a pocket in the bag.The officer looked back at us,"Where are you from?"I made a look of pain and tiredness at him,"Me,my wife,and my servant are refugees from Serpindal."The man nodded and check us off.He glanced at Vergere in surprise,but didn't say anything.When we arrived at are deck,I flopped on the couch and sighed.There was a knock on the door,"Room service!"I frowned as I haven't ordered anything.I motioned to Vergere and Elan to stay hidden,and I grabbed my blaster.I opened the door and hid the blaster in my hand behind the door."I didn't order anything," I said.There were two people there,a bothan and a human male.The bothan smiled,"Hello.We know you have a int defector with you.Hand her over and no harm will come."I quickly brought my blaster and shot them both in the chest.I caught their bodies before they could hit the ground,and I dragged them in our room.I quickly started to put on my armor plates.Elan went came out of her hiding place,"They found me?"I nodded,"You two are not safe follow me."I saw Vergere look out the window that shows us space,"Too late.The Peace Brigade are here."I cursed and finished putting on my armor,and grabbed my weapons."This mission is a failure.We have to steal a ship know.Follow me!"
After a little bit of maneuvering and killing the occasional group of Peace Brigadier,we ran into two people.One of them was a Ryn,but the human next to him looked really familiar."Han Solo!"He looked at me in surprise,"Strill!What are you doing here?"I gestured at Elan and Vergere,who have ditched their disguises,"The Vong defector has something for the Jedi.I have been assigned to keep them safe.You?"The Ryn stepped forward,"We were trying to leave,but Han here is obsessed with killing some Peace Brigadier named Reck.Can we go know?"I grunted,"I got an idea.Han and.."
"Droma," the Ryn said.
"Droma can take Elan and Vergere,and I will go after Reck."Han looked a little reluctant,but nodded,"Okay.Stay safe."I nodded and we ran off in separate directions.
It wasn't very hard to find Reck.Especially when he did that message to surrender Elan or else he will space the other refugees.I ran to the control room and opened the door.There was about 20 Peace Brigade members,in a random assortment of species.I pulled out a thermal detonator covertly and shouted,"Is there a Reck,here?"A man stepped up to me,"I am him.You have 5 seconds to leave before we blow you away."I threw the detonator to the wall and drew my blaster,"You have zero."I shot the detonator and closed the door as a loud explosion blew open the wall and Reck and his minions blew up into space dust.I started running to the hanger,and I decided to comm Han."Hey Han.Mind if you pick me up on Hanger 17?"I heard what sounded like a grunt and a lot of cursing,"Wrong button Droma!And Strill,I am coming to get you."I turned off the comm and I waited for Han to get here.When he arrived,he was piloting his old ship the Millennium Falcon.I ran in it and saw Han and Droma there."Is Reck dead?"I turned to Han,"I am fine thank you.Yes Reck is dead."Han nodded and we flew away to Coruscant.I saw Droma lean forward,"We almost lost Elan and Vergere.A bunch of Peace Brigade members got them,but somehow poison gas got them."I frowned,"And they are not dead?"The same thought hit the three of us at the same time,and we spoke as one,"Shit!"I bounced up,"Droma,Han,pilot the ship.I got the turncoat."I ran over to where Elana be Vergere were,and was greeted by a coufee hurling at my chest.I skirted to the left and grabbed the coufee by the handle,and I saw Elan right in front of a escape pod.She hissed at me,"You finally figured it out?One breath for you guys,and another for the Jedi."I reacted quickly by pulling out another detonator and throwing it in an escape pod.I lunged forward and quickly pushed Elan into that same escape pod.I then smashed the button and the escape pod ejected.I ran a quick scan and was relieved that there were no airborne toxins around.I blinked twice at the flashing icon at the bottom left of my helmet.I heard an explosion as Elan,and whatever plan she had for the Jedi,blew up into space dust.I just started to relax when I saw Vergere walk out from a closet she was hiding.She was holding a vial in her hands."Give this to the Jedi with the disease,"she said.She tossed it at me.I made no attempt at catching it,and fired two shots at her.She moved quickly,to quick for a Fosh,and my shots missed.She went into the escape pod and left.I picked up the vial and ran a scan if it with my helmet.It was full of Vergere's chemical altered tears,an ability Fosh could do.The scan confirmed that it will work,and I put it in my pouch.I saw Han walk in,"Everything good?"I nodded,"Drop me off in Coruscant,where Mara is."He nodded,and he ejected into hyperspace.
A few hours later,I walked into the medical room Mara was in,with Luke and Cilghal.Mara looked horrible,pale and thin.Luke looked up at me,"Hello Strill.Now Anakin can stop asking me where you are every five minutes."I heard Mara snort,"No...Kidding."Cilghal glanced at her in concern,"Please be quiet Mara.Conserve your energy."I reached into my pocket and went to grab Vergere's tears,but my hand touched the other vial.I stopped as my hand touched the other vial.I could use it to save her,I know it.However,it is not time yet.I pull out Vergere's tears and hand them to Mara,"Vergere gave these to me,before escaping.These will help,use it."With those words I turned and walked away.A little bit later,I meet up with Anakin near the Jedi temple.Anakin runs up to me,"Strill!Thank goodness you ate okay!"I snorted,"Yeah.Don't worry,Mara is perfectly fine.Her disease is gone."Anakin's face brightened,"Good."I could tell he knows where we are going,there is excitement in his eyes,"Where are we going kid?"Anakin smiled,"Back to the Praxeum.All of us are going there.I heard Luke say that you might be teaching a class."I was not happy to hear this,but what ever happens,I will face it.My destiny goes closer everyday.
