Chapter 1: New World & A Speedy Friend|Comfort

Authors Notes: Hey guys OliviaGames1208 here, well, Livvy_Kitty1208. Yeah, I've changed my online aillas. I know I've done that too many times but I'm sticking with Livvy_Kitty1208 due to it having a rice ring to it, Livvy is my nickname but prefer to be called that by close friends. And cats are my favourite animal and like to call them Kittys and I combined the two.

Here's the first official chapter for this fanfic, hope you all enjoy!

I could feel myself slowly waking up. I felt weak, even feeling a pain at the back of my head. "ARAH….mmmmm!" I grunted.

I don't know how long I've been unconscious. The last thing I remember was playing Minecraft with my friends and something knocking me out! Now I'm in this place I haven't been before.

Where was I? How did I get here? Who is here?! Those were the questions that were spinning in my head.

I heard footsteps nearby. It sounded like wood. I tensed up. Who was there? Are they friendly?

I heard a beeping sound, and a voice: "Come in Tails! I found the chaos emerald! But I also found someone else out here too! She seems quite badly hurt." That sounded exactly like…SONIC?! Wait this cannot be true. Wait, is my dream actually coming true?!

Slowly opening my eyes even more, I fought to hold in my gasp of joy. There was Sonic, in the flesh! His royal blue fur was shining through the day.

And he mentioned Tails! I could feel myself beginning to cry in joy and fright. But tried to lower my volume so it wouldn't catch their attention.

Am I in Mobius at the moment? If so, how on earth did I get here?! I felt something hard and I looked down and saw something shiny. It was a purple gem. Was this a Chao Emerald?! I held the gem close to my heart, feeling the warm energy emanating from it.

There was some frantic chatter on the other side. "Is she okay Sonic?!" The other voice sounded, "And are you ok?!"

Sonic then explained to his best friend, trying to calm down his friend, "Whoa whoa whoa it's okay, I'll be okay! It's okay Tails! Take it easy, deep breaths. I'm at my place to get her something to treat her injuries and I'll come by in about an hour, alright? I'll look after her!"

Tails softly whimpered, "Alright Sonic, please be careful and please don't hurt yourself!"

Sonic chuckled warmly, "Don't worry buddy, I promise you I'll be okay! You can count on me Tails!" The hedgehog spoke, his warmness in his voice, which was enough to soothe even me, "I'll see you in an hour."

I shut my eyes for about minute to try to get the dizziness under control, I slowly opened my eyes and I saw Sonic walking over to me, his green emerald eyes gentle and full of relieve.

I was still very weak and felt a hand on my shoulder, which was very strong but warm, "Hey there, you're awake." Sonic's voice was warm and gentle. "How are you feeling?"

I tried to get my voice to work but I was shocked, my dream was actually coming true, I'm in the presence of Sonic THE Hedgehog! I didn't realise I was hyperventilating.

I felt a hand on my chest gently restraining me, another hand on my back, "Hey Hey Hey! It's okay it's okay, I'm not gonna hurt you! You're okay!" Sonic's voice was enough to shake me out of this mode of shock.

I gasp slightly, tears in my eyes, "S-S-S-Sorry… I-I-I-I-I-" I softly said, my voice cracking and a whimper escaped, I was scared. No, terrified.

Sonic gently patted my back in a way to soothe me, "Hey Hey, no tears, you're gonna be okay, I promise! You're safe with me! I'm gonna make sure you're 100% safe!" Sonic soothed, His voice getting more sincere and gentle.

I couldn't believe it! I was being comforted by Sonic The freaking Hedgehog! My heart was pounding and I couldn't help but almost cried again in tears of joy but tried to calm down.

I looked at Sonic, his eyes glowed a warm light, which made me feel me secured and calm. I took some calm and slow deep breaths, trying to calm down.

Sonic smiled once he saw I was now calmed down, "That's it, nice and you're okay with it, would you tell me your name?" I felt his hand still on my back, and his touch made me feel more comfortable and brave.

I hesitated for a moment, my nerves kicking in a bit. I knew Sonic was a friend and I knew he was friendly but my brain was just confused and I only just woke up.

Seeing how nervous and unsure I was, Sonic rubbed my back and spoke gently, "Hey Hey, you're okay, take your time. You're safe. Everything will be alright I promise!" His voice was soothing and gentle.

I took a shaky breath before I spoke up, "I-I-I-I'm O-O-O-O-Olivia." I shakily told the blue blur. My voice was shaking badly.

Sonic smiled, his smile glowing, making me smile a bit, "Well nice to meet you Olivia! I'm Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog!" He gave his signature wink and thumbs up.

I couldn't help but get very excited. "Sonic! I know who you are!" I explained, the excitement in my voice revealed.

Sonic then tilted his head, a confused look on his face, "You know…me Olivia?" Sonic was a little cautious and I felt bad for making him worried.

I nodded quite quickly, "Y-Y-Yeah! I'm like a super mega fan of you! Like-EEEE!" I squealed in joy, Sonic chuckled at this. I felt a sudden sharp pain and flinched, holding my chest. "ARAH!"

Sonic immediately gasped and steadied me to try to relax me, "Hey Hey Easy now Olivia! You're hurt! Take it easy and take it nice and slow." Sonic firmly but gently told me. I started to calm down before Sonic spoke: "You say you're a fan of me Olivia?"

I nodded quickly before trying not to overload myself or Sonic, that's the last thing I wanted. "Y-Y-Y-Yeah, I've been a f-F-F-Fan for about 11 years!"

Sonic chuckled, "That's a long time Olivia! And I will say, I'm honoured to meet such a big fan!" Sonic responded, his smile warm and friendly. I was feeling more calmer, but was scared about telling Sonic that I got autism and ADHD, it will be difficult to explain. Sonic then asked, his hand going to his chin while thinking, "So Olivia, if you're fine answering, do the people on your planet also know me?"

I chuckled before explaining, "Yeah, like, back on earth, there's a whole fan base of you and you're very famous! Like a celebrity!" I explained. "It's kinda hard to explain, sorry Sonic!"

Sonic chuckled, "No you're okay Olivia! We do have merchandise of me, it's part of a contract I signed. I can still be as free as the wind, and they can make stuff about me and my friends. And I get paid BIG money for it!" Sonic explained, smiling proudly.

I smiled before saying, "S-S-S-Seeing your shows, m-m-movies and games helped me to become the person who I am today and it helped me to push myself out of my shell, I'm a….s-s-shy person." I felt brave admitting this.

Sonic smiled before gently saying, "Awwww! Well I'm glad we can help in that way Olivia! You're a very brave girl!" Sonic patted my back, giving me a warm smile and thumbs up. Sonic then noticed my nerves and how I was acting. "Hey you okay Olivia?" Sonic asked in tender and care.

I nodded, trying to speak as calmly as I could. I found it quite difficult as I was shaking so much, "I just wasn't expecting my birthday wish to come true!" I was still emotional but didn't want to cry in front of Sonic again.

Sonic chuckled, "Well in that case! Have an AWESOME birthday Olivia! Keep being way past cool!" His energy and enthusiasm was infectious and it made me smile.

I smiled I was feeling much better, "Thank you Sonic! I appreciate t-t-that!" I shyly spoke to him.

Sonic raised an eyebrow, he asked, "What was that dream Olivia? If you are fine with me asking." Sonic made sure I was feeling comfortable.

I then admitted, "The dream was the meet you and your friends and go on an adventure and just hang out. And the thing most, is to become friends with you and your friends."

Sonic smiled warmly, "Awww! That's very sweet Olivia! And I'm glad the start of the dream came true." Sonic then grinned, "And there will be a lot of adventures we can go on! But there are some adventures that we may have to go alone due to them being dangerous," Sonic explained.

I nodded, "Yeah I can tell! Especially when Baldy McNoseEgg keeps trying to take over the world and-" I said but got interrupted by Sonic.

Sonic lost it! He started laughing uncontrollably, "PPFFFTTT HAHAHAHA! BADLY!? Ha! Badly McBaldEgg!? That was rich!" Sonic chuckled, laughing hysterically.

I started laughing hysterically too, but not just from 'Baldy McBaldEgg', but at Sonic's reaction to that! "PFTTTTT THAT REACTION!" I chuckled, crying in joy.

Somic and I were laughing together, I feel like this was the right track of becoming friends with Sonic. And even more soon, Tails! BEST…BIRTHDAY…. EVER!

I let out a cute yawn, I didn't realise how tired I was.

Sonic chucked and then asked, "You feeling tired still Olivia?" His voice was soft. And I couldn't help but chuckle.

I nodded before confirming, "Y-Y-Y-Yeah…!" I yawned again, rubbing my eyes. "I guess I'm tired from after that laughing I did earlier."

Sonic then gently said, "Tell you what, why don't you grab yourself some more rest. And we'll talk some more soon."

I yawned again, pulling the covers up and snuggled in them, shutting my eyes before dozing off. Curling into the blankets even more, I was in like a blanket cocoon.

Sonic chucked as he gently tucked me in before gently saying, "Rest well bud! Hang in there, we'll get ya home soon!"

After resting some more. I yawned and opened my eyes, looking around the room, Sonic came over to check on me, "Hey Olivia, are you feeling okay pal?" He asked, making sure not to startle me.

I rubbed my eyes even more to get the sleep out of my eyes before explaining,"Yeah I am, just feeling a bit weak at the moment. Still exhausted and still sore from the injury…." I explained to Sonic.

Sonic ruffled my hair, "Yeah it will be a bit before you fully recover. I'll be here every step of the day, you have nothing to worry about! I promise!" Sonic reassured, making it his goal to make sure I recover right.

I chuckled, laughing softly at the ruffling. "Thank you Sonic I appreciate that!" I thanked.

Sonic then chuckled, "Aaaawwww anytime Olivia. Tell you what, I'm gonna make us some lunch but first, I wanted to introduce you to a close bud of mine. His name is Tails and I've known him throughout my entire life."Sonic then explained, "Are you down to meet him?"

I wanted to meet Tails so much but was nervous. I didn't want to spook Tails even more than he was when I heard him speaking with Sonic when I woke up earlier. "But I-I-I-I don't want to spook him. I know how shy Tails is when he meets new people." I explained to Sonic, my anxiety almost skyrocketed, looking at the ground and playing with my hands, which is a coping mechanism for when I'm really nervous.

Sonic laid a hand on my shoulder and rubbed it. "Aww no sweat Olivia, I understand what you're saying. And don't worry, we'll take it nice and slow so Tails can warm up in your presence!" Sonic softly assured, his gentle voice again making me feel at ease. He then spoke again, "And I can tell you're also a bit shy, from what you told me earlier, and that's okay, we'll take it nice and slow, I promise!"

I gave a weak smile, "Alright Sonic! T-T-T-Thank you. I appreciate that!" I thanked, shyly kicking the ground with my foot.

Sonic chuckled, winking at me, "Hey anytime Olivia! I'm always here for a friend!" Sonic assured, giving me a thumbs up.

I gasped as I almost dropped my phone in shock, my heart skipping a beat, I wasn't expecting this at all. "W-W-W-Wait w-w-what?" I asked. "Wait you mean-?"

Sonic chuckled at my reaction, "Hehe! Yeah! I know we've only just met and only had some small talk with each other, I figured that we can be friends, if you want to that is! And I'll happily accept!"

I stood in shock, not believing what I heard! Sonic The Hedgehog, Mobius wanted to become friends with me?! This can't be. This cannot be real!

I didn't realise I was trembling and shaking. I tried to control my emotions but I couldn't, I broke down in light sobs of joy, tears flying out my eyes. This couldn't be real.

Sonic gasped as he watched me break down for the first time, "Hey Hey Hey Olivia Olivia. What's wrong bud?" Sonic asked with tender, love and care, playing a hand on my shoulder. Wasn't expecting me to breakdown in front of him.

I shakily explained saying, "Y-Y-Yeah. I-I-I-I-I'm o-o-o-okay! *Sniff* I-I-I-I just didn't *Sob* expect u-u-u-is to become f-friends with you so fast Sonic."

Sonic chuckled before saying ruffling my hair, "Awww Hey, I'm the type of guy who wants to make new friends, and I promise we'll look after you!" Sonic explained, patting my back as he promised, "And I will always be sure to keep that promise!"

I started to beam, I was glad I was Sonic's friend. I then spoke, "Thank you so much for everything Sonic! Like I appreciate you so much!" I thanked, "And I'll admit….."

Sonic then noticed my change of tone, "Hey Olivia? What's wrong pal?" Sonic asked, "If you want to talk about it, I'm here for ya, I promise!" Moving closer to my side, laying a hand around my back and pulling me in close.

I looked at the ground before shakily explaining, "Well….things….were very….t-t-t-tough….growing up….." I tried to fight back the tears that threaten to fall down my cheeks, I didn't want to cry in front of Sonic, I didn't want to…. "A-A-A-And…."

Sonic was now looking at me with absolute care, comfort but also very concerned. "O-Olivia? What's going on, are you okay bud-WHOAAAA!" All of a sudden. I couldn't control myself anymore, now I was a sobbing mess, I broke down in my friend's chest. And the crying was too much for me to try to muster my words. I couldn't stop crying at all. "O-Olivia, hey hey hey, what's the matter?" His question was gentle.

At this moment, I felt two gentle gloved hands wrapping around my shoulders, giving me the most gentle and comforting hugs I have ever experienced. I felt a rubbing motion on my back.

"Hey hey hey Olivia….shshshhhhhh…..It's okay, it's okay! Hey no tears, it's gonna be okay, I promise!" Sonic comforted with careful care and patience. I knew Sonic wasn't a very patient person sometimes but I was very surprised how patient he was at this moment.

I shut my eyes tightly, fully taking in the comforting hug, crying harder, "I-I-I-I'm s-s-s-s s-s-s-sorry Sonic!"

Sonic gave me a gentle hug soothing, "Hey Hey, shhhh, Olivia, Olivia, Olivia…shhhhhh! It's okay, it's okay! I promise you!" Sonic shushed me softly, rubbing my back in slow circles, trying to calm me down, "Olivia, you have nothing to be sorry for, I promise you're okay!"

I took an extra shaky breath before explaining a long and detailed story to Sonic. It was difficult to explain, but I explained to Sonic about the bullying I had to endure when I was younger. At this point I even told Sonic about me having autism and it might be hard for me to understand some stuff and sometimes it's hard for me to handle some situations.

It took about 10 minutes to explain everything in detail, only stopping a few times for Sonic to comfort me and take my time. After I finished, I saw Sonic clenched his fists in anger. He felt very worried and angry at the bullying.

Sonic slowly spoke up, "O-O-Olivia….I….I'm sorry you had to go through all that torment…and you were very brave admitting this!" Sonic spoke to me gently, laying a hand on my shoulder and shaking it. Giving me another pat on the shoulder as I continue to cry, Sonic spoke up, "Olivia….i promise that I'll do everything in my power to prevent you from getting bullied.. it's gonna be okay, please don't cry…and I'm sorry you went through that."

I took a shaky breath before saying, "Thank you for listening to my story Sonic, and it was very t-t-tough to explain the story." I thanked, glad I could have a shoulder to lean on. "And I'm so glad to have a friend like you Sonic!"

Sonic winked and assured, "Hey, that's okay Olivia! You did extremely well. I'm proud of you!" Sonic softly assured. "Awww no worries Olivia, I'm always here to help out a friend!"

I tried to smile slightly but it was hard as I was still emotional. I shut my eyes tightly, still crying. I didn't want to be this weak in front of Sonic but I was still sore and weak from the injury I got.

Sonic laid a hand on my arm and tried to lift my chin up so I can look at him, "Awww hey…Hey….Cheer up Olivia, just smile, everything will be okay! I promise!" Sonic soothed, patting my back with the other hand.

I took a shaky breath, I didn't realise I was shaking until Sonic wrapped an arm around my back, giving me a side hug for comfort. "I-I-I-It's difficult to think about the harsh times. And sometimes due to my autism, it takes awhile for me to think about the positivity." I admitted, "It felt good to let the tears out,"

Sonic gave my shoulder a squeeze of comfort, "Hey hey, Olivia, I know that feeling, but it's also okay to not feel okay sometimes during those times. And I know it's sometimes difficult to deal with those types of feelings, but if there are days where you feel down or need a friend to lean on, don't be afraid to ask me or Tails for help and we'll be here to lend you a shoulder." Sonic wholeheartedly explained rubbing my back, and used the other hand to gently wipe the tears from my eyes. "And remember Olivia, you are not alone anymore, you have some good friends by your side and we're here to help you out. We're your friends and friends always help each other."

I couldn't help smile at Sonic's speech, he was a true friend and he always thought of everything. And what he said was true. I tried to not cry again. I was just so happy. I started giggling uncontrollably.

Sonic smirked as he started tickling me, I yelped in fright and confusion. Never expecting this to happen. "Heyyy~ there's that smile that we know and love~!" Sonic chuckled. "There we go! You feeling better now aren't you Olivia?"

I yelped as I tried to brush his hands away, "H-H-Hey come on Sonic hehehehe!" I yelped, giggling louder, my shyness instantly washed away and replaced by joy.

We both laughed! I was now happy again, and I was glad that Sonic was there to lend a hand, or shoulder in that case.

Sonic chuckled, "Hehehe! Hey no sweat Livvy-Oops!" Sonic realised he called me the wrong name.

My eyes widened, how did Sonic know that was my nickname?! "S-S-Sonic!?" I yelped.

Sonic panicked a bit, "S-S-Sorry Olivia! I-I-I didn't mean to call you that and-"

I felt bad before I quickly held out my hands. "No no no it's okay Sonic it's okay, I don't mind you calling me Livvy!" I tried to help him calm down. And to let him know that it was okay.

Sonic was still unsure, he laid a hand on my shoulder and asked, "Are you sure it's okay Olivia? I mean I don't wanna upset you by calling you the wrong name."

I then explained, "Yeah s-s-sure that's okay for you to call me Livvy! In fact, it's my preferred nickname by close friends like you." I explained. "And Livvy's a bit easier for people to say as well."

Sonic grinned, "Well! I'll call you Livvy from now on!" Sonic winked and gave me a thumbs up. "I like the name Livvy, it has a nice ring to it!"

I blushed a bit, this compliment meant the world to me and I couldn't stop smiling, "Thank you so much Sonic! I appreciate that!" I thanked.

Sonic chuckled at my reaction, "Aaw! No big deal Livvy! It's all good!" He assured. Feeling happy I was finally coming out of my shy state. "And you're being very brave right now Livvy! I'm very proud of you!"

I smiled before saying, "Thank you so much Sonic." I spoke quietly. I waited for a second before firmly saying, "I think I'm ready to meet Tails now." I explained, collecting my nerves.

Sonic chuckled before explaining, "Heh, you sure bounce back well, don't cha' Livvy! You will love Tails trust me! Tails is the smart guy, he'll figure a way to get you home." He gave me a thumbs up.

I chuckled, I knew I was gonna become fast friends with Tails as I did with Sonic.

Sonic chuckled too, "Alright Livvy, do you need help getting out of bed?" He asked me.

I thought for a second before nodding, "Y-Y-Yeah!" I confirmed. "Still feel a bit weak."

Sonic knelt down, placing one hand on my back and another under my arms and gently picked me up. "Alright Livvy, when I say three, I'm gonna help you stand up."

I nodded before saying, "Alright Sonic, I'm ready!" Smiling to my friend.

Sonic counted, "Okay one two three!" Sonic exclaimed as he slowly put me on the ground and guided me to my feet, taking it nice and slow.

I slowly stood up but almost collapsed, I guess my strength wasn't fully recovered just yet. "AAAH!" I yelped, but before I hit the ground I was caught by two warm gentle hands.

I heard my friend saying to me, "It's okay, Livvy It's okay! I got you! I got you tight!" Sonic's voice was firm but soothing.

It took a bit of time to recover my balance but Sonic held me softly. "Take your time, take your time easy now!" Sonic instructed me.

I slowly stood up again and managed to stand on my own, Sonic was by my side, ready to catch me if I collapse again.

I was surprised that I was slightly shorter than Sonic! That means I would be shorter than Tails and taller than Cream.

Sonic gave me a gentle ruffle on my hair and said, "Aww for a 23 year old, you're a lot smaller than I thought!" Sonic playfully teased.

I swatted his hands away playfully, "Awww come on Sonic! I'm not that short!" I burst out in laughter.

Sonic chuckled too, "Hey there's that smile I know and love! Keep smiling Livvy!"

We both started laughing hysterically after that, my worries immediately washing away and replaced with happiness!

I smiled brightly, Sonic was the type of friend who was there to make his friends laugh.

I thought of another issue, how were we gonna get to Tails' house? And if we're stuck with walking, how long would it take?!

"Hey Sonic, How are we gonna get to Tails' house? I know for a certain we can't walk and-" I yelped as Sonic picked me up bridal style! "WAAH! S-S-Sonic?!"

Sonic chuckled warmly assuring me, "Don't worry Livvy, just hold on to me tightly! This is why I'm called Sonic! You ready?"

I then slowly nodded, "I-I-I-I'm r-r-r-ready." I confirmed, shaky but trying to breathe.

"Alright! Here we….GOOOO!" With a cheer, Sonic held me tight before speeding towards Tails' house. I yelped as I laughed, so this was how Sonic feels when he's running?

Sonic sped up even more, "Just tell me if it gets too fast, don't want ya to pass out on me again!" Sonic explained warmly.

I laughed loudly, "WOOOOOHOOOOOO!" I screamed in joy and excitement. I saw Sonic smiling, hearing me this excited.

I knew that this adventure was only starting….
