DRAGON BALL HARDCORE

THE BEERUS SAGA, part 3

.

.

The Z-warriors have returned with full force. It was time for the strongest warriors of heaven to defeat the strongest warriors in hell. Though they had a big chance of winning, someone ended up left out. Videl was still fighting for her life against Super Puipui and Yakon; without help she would soon get overwhelmed. But eventually she was aided by a really lazy fellow. Buu suddenly appeared on her side of the field.

"Buu?! Where were you?" she asked.

"Buu fighting puny people with funny yellow circles in their heads. But then Buu got tired, and Buu slept. Strange big man with big ears came to meet Buu in a dream. He said to help you." Buu said. He used his healing magic on Videl and once again she was with full force.

Buu took care of Yakon, giving Videl the opportunity to fire a powerful Masenko Blast at Super Puipui without being interrupted. That seriously damaged him, and after that it didn't take long for Puipui to fall on the floor, completely defeated. Once they were down, the reality bubble that encapsulated the warriors disappeared. Videl called out Kibito, and so a portal opened up to throw Puipui and Yakon inside. Two gone, and two to go; Dabura and Bibidi.

Bibidi was enraged the entire time; how dare his creation show his face again after what he did. Not only did he betray the demon realm for his own amusement, but he ended up killing Bibidi millions of years ago because of his arrogance. It was because of Buu's stupidity that Great Supreme Kai was able to imprison Buu in the cocoon along with himself. Though Bibidi was furious, Buu comically doesn't remember at all who he is; he just wants to fight.

Dabura could see that Buu lost all the power he once had back when he killed him. Now he was more than capable of executing Buu for his betrayal. Videl was willing to help him fight, but Buu refused. He said, "dream man told Buu to tell you the power of an old funny man is still within you. He told me to tell you to… uh… Buu doesn't remember right. Try to activate it again!"

"Are you talking about that ritual power? I don't know how!" Videl said.

"Let Buu fight ugly people up there. You go find the power to kill the purple cat!" Buu said. Videl seemed hesitant, but eventually she decided to do as he said. She flies away, leaving Buu to fight Bibidi and Dabura alone.

Boku had been fighting Cooler for hours. Actually that's a bad way to describe it; Boku had been surviving against Cooler for what felt like an eternity. He didn't expect him to be so skilled; Boku had to rely on cheap shots and deception, doing so little as to distract Cooler for some time. He had one of the dragon balls in his hands; Boku couldn't leave without it. It didn't take long for one of Boku's plans to fail, and he had to fight Cooler head on. It didn't end well at all; Boku had been too wounded in that short encounter. He could feel all of his friends occupied with their own battles; he had to win on his own.

He tried one last time with a new plan; this time he was going straight for the dragon ball. He attacked Cooler with a barrage of punches, but he wasn't aiming to do any damage. In the end Boku was sent plummeting to the ground. Cooler laughed, but then he saw something strange; the dragon ball in his hand got lighter. He looked at it, and it saw that he was holding a Soukidan ball. Just then it exploded in his face, causing a bunch of smoke. Boku took the cue and dashed the hell out of there, using his gi's shirt as a basket to carry all the other dragon balls. That explosion didn't distract Cooler for very long, and he gave chase.

Half the world later, Cooler was able to trap Boku in a bad spot. At that moment he held the boy by his leg. He demanded to know how long it would take for the dragon balls to recharge, as he had a wish in mind; teleport all the warriors of Earth into the sun, where they would die. He wasn't able to get anything out of Boku before the cavalry arrived. Suddenly, Cooler's arm that held Boku up got slashed. Before Cooler could even see who it was, he was kicked in the face and sent flying away. Boku managed to recover and see who it was.

Some strange guy with long black hair, and halo over his head. His gi was green and orange; the symbol on his back was the raku kanji. He turned around, showing a face full of scars, but he was smiling. "Long time no see, huh?" said Yamcha.

"I'm sorry, who are you?" Boku said, making Yamcha comically fall.

"Wha- don't you recognize me?! I'm your dad! There's pictures of me all over the house!" Yamcha barked back.

"Oh… okay."

"What do you mean 'okay'? This is the first thing you say to your father after twelve years?!"

"I never met you in my life- what do you want from me? I'm barely humorous even to my best friends." Boku said. To be fair Yamcha knew very well what kind of kid this was; maybe he was expecting too much. He said, "look, just forget it. You're probably wondering why I'm here."

"Did Beerus brought you back from hell-"

"I didn't go to hell! I went to heaven mind you, and it was really cool!" Yamcha said. "Anyway, the gods allowed us one last day on Earth in order to help defeat Beerus."

"Us?… wait, do you mean-"

"Yes, I mean everyone." Yamcha said, and that made Boku smile. He focuses his senses now and can feel powerful energies flying to help his friends in their battles; Mr. Tien was one of them. "Unfortunately for you I was the only one willing to come help, so don't get all moody." Yamcha said.

"HOW YOU DARE IGNORE ME YOU PUNY WORMS!" said Cooler. He managed to get his arm back and he easily reattached it. Now that Yamcha took a better look… this guy ain't Frieza at all! Frieza is not that much purple. They have the same ki signature though; so this must be another weird clone relative. Cooler was absolutely outraged that they don't even know him, and worse of all they continue to compare him to his stupid little brother. He attacked again but soon understood that Yamcha was not someone to mess around with. His ki claws were strong enough to slash through him, and he did again; this time cutting off Cooler's tail. Despite that, the fight was pretty balanced. Yamcha commended Cooler, for at the very least he's much smarter than Frieza and has some spiritual knowledge. This might be fun.

Dee was struggling, more with technicality than with power. Ginyu has stolen their body, matching her in strength. He wasn't that good since he didn't know any of their techniques, but it was still her body. There was no way to fight Ginyu Dina without destroying herself. All the while those morons of his squad kept using weird techniques like a red and blue storm that almost gave her epileptic seizure, and that tubby green douchebag using psychic powers to paralyze her. Dee was getting hurt and she didn't even draw Cold into battle. But it was at that dastard time that help suddenly came.

At first it seemed like a drunk hallucination again, but she didn't even sneak a sip during the party this time. She saw her dead father appear with some kind of gnome by his side; it was kind of trippy. But for once the hallucination spoke to her. "I see they picked you by surprise Dee. I didn't think you were one to fall for cheap tricks."

The girl scratched her eyes for a moment, but he hadn't disappeared. Tien had a halo over his head, and so had his gnome friend. Now that she looks again, it was no gnome at all. It was uncle Chiaotzu; he and Tien had a lot of pictures in kame house. She went ahead and touched his leg; she realized he was real. "Old man, you're…"

"Yeah… I'm back." Tien replied. That was the first time he saw Dee overcome with emotion that wasn't anger. She hugged him by the leg and started complaining how empty the house was without him through her tears. "Why did you have to die?!"

"So then you could live. Wasn't it obvious?" He said, patting her on the head. "Listen, I won't be around forever. We came back just to help you defeat the god of destruction. You fought very well thus far, but leave this to me now."

Tien proceeded to destroy the Ginyu force to pieces, only their talking heads remained. Ginyu Dina told Guldo to paralyze the triclops, but then Guldo felt psychokinetic interference coming from Chiaotzu. He started wagging his finger with his blank stare, "nuh-uh" he said. Guldo accepted the psychic battle and started putting all his pressure on Chiaotzu. It didn't even phased him. Guldo's veins were popping out his head as he tried to win, but he couldn't. Chiaotzu made a frown for a single second, sending back a psychic wave that was strong enough to blow Guldo's head. He fell on the floor, and didn't get up. Chiaotzu quickly called out for Kibito, so a portal opened and he used psychokinesis to throw the remains of the Ginyus back to hell.

Ginyu Dina was the only one left. He commended Tien for his strength, saying that in any other circumstance he would love to steal his body, but now he sees himself at the advantage. He's occupying the body of Tien's daughter, and certainly he wouldn't be so much of a monster as to hurt her, won't he? Tien agreed, but he said that Dee would be enough to finish off Ginyu. He crouched to her level and spoke instructions in her ear. Then he hands her something from his pocket and now the girl feels confident to fight again. Ginyu thought she had gone mad; will she really destroy her own body to kill him? If she does so, she'll disappear.

The two engaged in battle but it didn't take long for Ginyu to start losing. Dee was no longer holding her punches, and was actually wounding Dina's body. Dee makes fun of Ginyu, saying that he somehow fights worse than a little girl. The real Dina wouldn't be losing so hard against her. In the end Ginyu was left broken on the ground, and just like Tien said, he was forced to use his Change Technique on Dee to survive. At that moment, she picked up the thing Tien handed earlier from her pocket. It was frog Dina.

After the lights died out, Ginyu opened his eyes and looked at his hands. He was back again in the frog's body like an idiot. Dee quickly dropped him and stomped him into the ground. Dina opened her eyes, finally back to her body. She started giggling. "I'm… back… Ouch…"

Dee helped her up, and just then Cold decided to make his move. He tried to fire a death beam while the girls were recovering but Tien saw it coming a mile away. Suddenly he appeared in place and swatted the attack away with the back of his hand. He looked pissed, so Cold decided to fly down from his rock to meet them. "Apologies, it's just a force of habit," he said. "So, which of you wishes to waste my time now… Let's see, I remember you, triclops, but not you, tiny albino. Tell me, did you come to fight me as well?"

Suddenly Cold heard a strange noise, like very low pitched buzzing, and suddenly Chiaotzu appeared in front of him with his thousand yard stare, making the king step back in shock. He said, "Sorry, but Tien is the one who wants to fight you-"

Cold tried punching him, but then he heard the sound again and he disappeared back to his original place. This was another psychic ability; the power to stop time! "You two can go at it, I'll just stay here to make sure you don't pull any dirty tricks." said Chiaotzu, pulling up a magazine to read in the background. Cold was pissed, but then he looked at Tien. He told his daughters to fly away to somewhere safe, and so they did. "So you want to die first, is that it?" Cold said.

"I'm already dead, moron." Tien replied.

"Oh… so you are. It is a bizarre day for both of us, it seems."

"Just cut the act. I know you have a final form and I don't want to waste time. Show it to me or you might end up defeated way too fast." Tien said. Cold was outraged. This mere Earthling thinks he can force Cold to use his final form? To even demand such a thing is something he never expected to hear. Who does he think he is? He charged Tien in rage, but soon showed itself to be a terrible idea. He has no idea what this man has been doing for the last thirteen years, but somehow he got fifty times stronger since their last encounter. He was able to hold his own with his martial arts and strength alone. Soon king Cold backed away. "Very well, Earthling… Consider yourself wielder of the greatest honor that a fighter can experience in this universe."

And so Cold began. The Earth started shaking; strong winds and dark skies. Tien witnessed him going to his third form, and ultimately break into his final form as blinding light enveloped him. After that, Tien saw Cold at the purest of his strength.

White sections covered his arms, legs and chest, looking like armor. Black spots appeared on his shoulders, forearms, stomach and ankles. His face had become completely featureless except for his eyes, as a black streak ruins through the middle of his face. His voice changes dramatically despite having no visible mouth on his face.

"Any scouter or energy detector of the past has short circuited once they tried to get my readings in this form. If my calculations are correct, this form should wield the power of around… one billion. With this I was able to kill my brother five hundred years ago… and with it, I will eliminate the Super Saiyan. So tell me… what could you, as a mere nobody, ever hope to achieve fighting against me?" Cold asked.

Tien chuckled. "I forgot you guys used numbers to define strength. That's funny."

Cold was annoyed. "Are you… laughing?"

"Excuse me, it's a bad habit of mine… Let's begin." Tien said, taking a stance. Chiaotzu looked on to the fight, and he realized that maybe this will be harder than it looked. He might be forced to intervene.

From afar, Dina and Dee just felt that godly power that surged within Cold. Their father was now outmatched, but Dina was too broken to help him fight. "Dina, I need you to start gathering natural energy." Dee said. "Are you making a plan for once? Strange. Well, I can't move anyway so leave it to me." Dina said, closing her eyes to begin meditation.

To say 18 and 17 were getting beaten was an understatement. Thankfully their Ultra Reactors continued to pump up energy no matter how broken they are. They continued to fight; trying to destroy Cell's cerebral chip at all costs to make him regain control. Eventually by working together they managed to deal a decisive blow to his nape. Suddenly Cell's eyes turned normal, and he seemed to regain consciousness for a few seconds. He wondered, "18, what… what is happening?" but just then, his neck automatically regenerated and Gero ordered him again, "Cell, destroy them!" and he returned to his killing mode again. Apparently, even Cell's cerebral chip is biologically created, so breaking it is worthless; it will regenerate shortly after due to his Namekian biology. The twins completely ran out of ideas.

In the end 17 was bleeding heavily from the head and arm. 18 approached him on the ground, equally as wounded, and said, "Listen, Lapiz… I don't know how you did it, but you managed to get yourself a life. Kashi, she was… pretty nice. It doesn't seem like she'll get bored of you. Maybe you two will be happy together. Now… let me act like the older sister for once."

"18, WHAT ARE YOU-"

Suddenly she dashed towards Cell. Dr. Gero's energy sensors started building up massively as she approached. Somehow the girl found a way to control her Ultra Reactor, and was setting it up to blow. She took hold of Cell's arms and began preparing for the end. Gero quickly shouted, "CELL, KILL HER, NOW!" And so he delivered a strong punch to her stomach. 18 began dwindling in and out of consciousness; she had to focus. It looked like Cell would use the second strike to plunge his hand through her. She planned to use the last of her strength to blow up her reactor while impaled. The power would be right at Cell's face and kill him for sure.

But at the last second, someone saved her. He dashed from the side and pulled her away from Cell's attack, cradling her in his arms. Once her vision cleared out, she saw who had saved her; he was short and wore an orange and yellow gi. She subconsciously recognized him as Krillin, knowing he was one of the people she was supposed to kill in the past.

Krillin arrived with Roshi on his back at the nick of time. And damn, 18 was way cuter in person than through the crystal ball. Krillin put her on the floor and she was already getting mad. "Why did you save me? I need to blow my reactor, that's the only thing that can kill him!"

"Nonsense! Your life is not worthless for you to throw it away like that!" Krillin said. That seemed to hit the right spot, as suddenly she lost all that anger. "Listen, you don't have to suffer anymore, leave it to me. Just take your brother and rest for now."

"But… hey! You can't be serious, Cell's too strong! How do you plan on destroying him?!" 18 asked.

"Who said anything about destroying? The poor fella is just under a spell. We gotta fight fire with fire." Roshi said. "What do you say, Krillin? You get me an opening and victory is ours, deal?"

Krillin nodded. Gero was confused; why are these idiots so confident? It doesn't matter. Their energy readings are pathetic in comparison, they can't possibly match up to Cell. Gero was thankful for the opportunity to kill two of Goku's friends that he couldn't previously. He ordered Cell to kill him, and so he went ahead. 18 took 17 along her shoulder too far away, "Are they really okay alone?" 17 asked. "No… let's go somewhere else and practice the stupid dance. We don't have much time." she replied.

Cell and Krillin traded blows for just a moment, but it didn't take long for Cell to literally split Krillin in half with a swipe. That would've been it, but Krillin is already dead. He simply grabbed his other half and stuck it back in place. He figured he would need a bit more bulk if he wanted to fight Cell properly, so master Roshi advised Krillin to use the Max Power mode that he taught him. Krillin focused energy on his muscles, and that changed his form. He got taller, matching his friends' heights for once, and his muscles became more defined. Seeing tall Krillin almost feels like an anomaly.

He fought at long range for now, using his mind-controlled Kienzan to fight. Not only could he sustain it for a long time, but he learned how to make the technique look extremely thin, next to invisible, without losing any of its cutting power. Cell was able to dodge it all until Krillin had an idea. He targeted Gero at the very back. Gero had to order Cell to protect him, and so Cell got struck directly by the Kienzan. It cut off his wings but not his midriff, but it had another effect. Gero was getting angry at Cell's robotic inefficiency, and ordered him to attack head, decapitate Krillin and throw his head off into space. Instantly Cell became incredibly aggressive, not even caring if he gets hurt. That allowed Krillin to easily use the Solar Flare to blind Cell with his wide-open red eyes. That stunned him for enough time so then Krillin could get a hold of Cell from behind his back. That was the opportunity he was hoping for. Krillin used the Iron Body technique, becoming indestructible and immovable for a short while. By using it while grabbing Cell, he pretty much paralyzed him. And so he shouted, "Now master!"

Roshi was already in position. He didn't know at all if this could work, but he might as well try. It worked on Goku after all. Roshi began moving his hands on a pattern and speaking gibberish as Cell watched. That was the Hypnosis Technique. Roshi was using it to convince Cell that Gero's commands don't apply because he's not even Gero anymore, he's just a dead hunk of metal with a brain. Cell's robotic state was so devoid of will that he was easily taken. The world around Roshi and Cell went dark and silent, he could not hear Gero barking orders anymore.

In the end the trick was successful, Cell's eyes returned to normal. He woke up from his daze as confused as humanly possible; there was this purple cat and this guy with strange hair, suddenly Gero approached him and everything from then on was a blur. Now he was saved by tall Krillin and Roshi of all people. Honestly he was a bit embarrassed that they didn't send Goku or Piccolo to fight him. Slowly the memories returned to him; he remembered why he was back on Earth. He accepted the invitation to join judgment day because he wanted to kill Beerus. Cell can't allow all the beings in hell to come back to life, even if he had to work with the Z-warriors in the process. It felt like an ulikely team up was in order, but unfortunately it never came to be.

Suddenly, Gero jumped on Cell's back, covered his mouth and started to absorb his energy. "If you won't be useful to me… your power will." he said in his ear. The efficacy of that thing was shocking, in mere seconds Cell was almost dead. He thought, "this is so annoying! Was I this annoying to fight with?!" Krillin and Roshi tried to stop him, but Gero quickly fires upon both with eye lasers, blowing them away. It had been done. Gero lets go of Cell as his body is completely devoid of energy; he won't die but he's unconscious. His Ultra Reactor doesn't work anymore; he can't recuperate like he used to. Krillin and Roshi have to look on in distress as the doctor rises with all of Cell's power inside him. Gero's skin became less decrepit as the energy ran through his system; his hair went from grizzled to ginger. His old man muscles increased to accommodate the amazing power he just received. He created his absorption system to be able to store the greatest amount of energy conceivable, and for the first time it hit the ceiling. He ripped off his stupid shirt, showing all the gray robotic substitutes in place of his actual chest.

"Anyway, let us begin again?" Gero said.

Dende was not having a good time against Slug. Not only has his assessment of magic been reduced, but he's fighting someone who's many times stronger than him. He tried his best to not allow Slug to touch him, as Dende most likely won't have enough energy to free himself again. If he absorbs and gains all his magic powers, this guy can pretty much kill anyone on Earth. Popo, Korin and Yajirobe had been defeated in their efforts to help him; the galactic officers who tried to draw out Slug were killed. He was on his own, and Babidi wasn't helping with his constant shit talking.

And then he felt it. Seven powerful energies entered the boundaries of Earth, and one was approaching really fast; a familiar one. Soon enough he appeared; it was none other than Piccolo. He got in between Dende and Slug and immediately Slug began to sweat. He couldn't understand; how could there be another Namekian, and one stronger than him at that?

"You did good, Dende. But your job is not to fight. Your job is to guard, and at that you succeeded." Piccolo said, "If you die, the barrier at the core will be gone and Earth is finished. Focus on keeping yourself alive. Preserve your energy, and once you do… I think there's someone who might need your help."

Dende closed his eyes and saw all of the Earth's warriors all over the world. All of them were back. Soon he found out who Piccolo is referring to. He did as he was told; Dende picked himself up, called out Mr. Popo and the two left the area. Before going away, he said, "It's good to see you again, Piccolo."

"What are you doing you imbecile! If we kill him we can get our lives back!" said Slug.

Piccolo's mean face was scary. He ignored Slug and shouted, "Korin, Yajirobe, I want you to go up that tower and take all Senzu Beans you have; don't leave a single one to spare. Everyone else will need them."

The two guardians of the tower did as he said, quickly climbing back up at super speed. Now Piccolo was alone against Slug. He has been staring daggers at his soul for that entire minute. Slug wasn't so scared anymore; he was excited. He couldn't imagine how strong he would become once he absorbed Piccolo.

"So you are supposed to be the great Namekian of the legends? What a disappointment. All this power and still you got killed and sent straight to hell. Today I'm going to make you wish that you never left." Piccolo said.

The two began to fight, and although Slug was strong, he was unlucky to fight one of the two strongest beings that the other world had to offer. Piccolo dominated the fight for a long while, but Slug had insane reserves of energy from all the people he once cursed with his dragon balls. Piccolo could blow up huge parts of his body and Slug would grow them back like it was nothing. The fight got really interesting once Slug revealed his true abilities. Not only did he steal power from his cursed dragon balls, but he also gained the skills of the races and warriors who would pay tribute to his evil dragon. He simultaneously used them in order to surprise Piccolo, and managed to grab him by the arms. Piccolo had enough strength to free himself, but soon realized that Slug did absorb a lot of his energy in the process. He became a little younger once he did so, and it seemed to have given him even more power. Piccolo understood that he had to finish Slug fast, and not give him any other opportunity to do that.

Goku could feel Goten and Gohan battling that Yamoshi guy. For now it seemed like they were still going strong. Goku felt like teleporting there, but suddenly he felt a powerful energy enter Earth through another portal, followed by a few hundred others. He recognized that energy, and it made him grit his teeth. "Damn it!" he said. He had to go take care of it before it became an actual problem, so he blasted after that.

Vegeta was the first Saiyan to step into Earth through the portal, followed by his father, King Vegeta, Nappa and all the other Saiyans who were still in hell to this day. He never thought to end up on this damn rock again after his defeat. A legion of Saiyans stood behind him, still wearing their armor and ready to fight 40 years after their death. They came to this game with one very important mission; a quest for revenge. But the first person they find there is Goku.

Vegeta was looking back at his legion when suddenly he felt a devastatingly powerful energy behind him. He turned around really quickly and said, "Kakarot?!"

Goku was looking very mean as he stared at his entire race arriving on Earth. The Saiyans began cheering on his Saiyan name as they saw him; the great Kakarot, the last son of the Saiyan race and the man who killed the loathsome Frieza. How could they not cheer him? Vegeta started saying, "It's hard to believe you managed to get even stronger after all these years. I wasn't mistaken to entrust the Saiyan race's legacy to you."

"We are not 'friends' Vegeta. And I do not fight for the sake of our evil legacy," Goku said, with a meaner tone than he ever had. "Every single one of you is walking back into that portal, or else I'm throwing you."

"Is this how you talk to your prince?" Vegeta said. Goku assumed a battle stance but then Vegeta raised his hand. "We did not come here to take part in this stupid game of the gods, Kakarot. We died and that's it. The only reason we came here is to take someone back with us… Frieza."

"… I'm listening." Goku replied.

"Frieza accepted Beerus's proposal and came here. That bastard killed all of us like a coward. All we want is the chance to fight him together and defeat him for the last time. After that, we will be gone. You have my promise."

Goku closed his eyes and scouted the Earth for his signature. One is fighting Yamcha, the other is fighting Tien; the two are very similar but slightly different at the surface; Cooler and Cold. There was only one left going around, that must be Frieza. He was actually summoned to fight Goten, but Goten toyed with him and eventually left once he sensed Gohan in danger. Later Frieza realized he was on planet Earth, and he began destroying nature and leveling the land for no reason other than sadism. That part of Earth was looking like hell. Goku didn't have time to deal with him. He hoped this time Vegeta wasn't lying to him.

"Okay… but don't you lie to me again," He spoke in Vegeta's face, leaning down in the process since he was a bit short. Then he pointed in the distance and said, "he's that way. You'll know where he is when you see it."

All the thousand Saiyans scream in excitement. They take flight one by one and blast into the sky. Vegeta gives one last snarky smile to Goku before joining ahead. Goku stood there as hundreds passed by and continued to cheer him on. He thought, "man, that might be a mistake."

Goku turned around, and saw that one last Saiyan stood behind. For a second he thought that he was looking into a mirror. A man with a bunch of scars and his same face, wearing green Saiyan armor and a red headband. They looked at each other for a long time before the Saiyan spoke, "Kakarot… I can hardly believe how far you have grown. Even now I look at you and I remember that little baby that couldn't even crawl. But despite that… your mother loved you so much. She did everything she could and even gave her life so you could keep going. To her it didn't even matter if you would become a strong warrior or some nobody. To her you were special since the very day you were born…" he said.

"I'm taking a wild guess and assume you're Bardock, my father." Goku said. "Raditz told me about you, although there wasn't actually much to tell. I wish I could say something more, but-"

"There's no time, I know. I just wanted to do something for you before we part ways forever." Bardock said, untying his headband from his forehead. "I never had the chance to say goodbye or give you a present like I did to your brother. I want you to take this."

He gave Goku his bloody strap and started walking away. Goku kept looking at it until he said, "and what about my mother, Gine… is she with everyone else there?"

"Your mother didn't go to hell, Kakarot. I don't think she would've liked heaven either. If I were to guess, I'm quite sure her spirit already moved on… so she could continue protecting you in the next life." Bardock said. He cracked his knuckles, saying his final farewell to his son. Bardock doesn't know if Goku or his friends will win. His visions ended as soon as Goku died to that bug man. From now on, it's up to him to carve destiny.

Goku stood there in that windy plain for a while longer. Eventually he regained focus as he felt Chi-chi's ki arrive at the battle and soon get weaker. He had to hurry, so he wrapped that piece of cloth to his bicep and blasted off into the sky.

By then, Gohan, Goten and Chi-chi were already on the ground as the Super Saiyan Yamoshi stands above. Though he lost one arm, he was still capable of defeating the two enraged warriors. That felt like the end, but Gohan had one last idea. He thought that if he went ahead and got killed by Yamoshi, then Goten could muster enough hatred to unlock the Super Saiyan. He had to; it was the only way. He apologized for all the people he might hurt for this sacrifice, and stepped forward.

But before he could jump in, he felt someone hold him by the shoulder. It brought a familiar feeling from the past, but it didn't disappear immediately. Next he heard that voice. "Gohan… you did well, but I hate to see you risk your life again. Now it's my turn."

He turned around and saw his father, young and smiling like he was never gone. Gohan couldn't understand what he was seeing, but Goku explained all the jazz to him. One last battle, one last day living, one final chance to help the people they love. Goku gave his older son a much needed hug, and soon paid attention to Goten at the back. He was protecting Chi-chi, and had a bewildered look towards his father. He stepped back as Goku approached.

"Woah, you really are like a mini-me! Hi, I'm Goku."

"I'm… Goten." the boy said. The two kept staring at each other until Goten dropped his guard. He was face to face with his father; the person he heard so much about his whole life but never met. The man who's legacy as a warrior was his duty to pass on. And it was true, they do look absurdly alike up close. Without him noticing, Goku already got on his knees and was hugging Goten. It felt like a paralyzing technique.

"I can't believe you're already this strong and you're barely half my height yet. That's incredible! You should be proud of yourself." Goku said. It was like magic; like a mysterious power that Goten never witnessed. The magic of being praised by your father for the first time, as well as such a caring embrace. No matter how tough he tried to be to not flake on the fight, this feeling drove him to tears.

Chi-chi woke up calling out Goku's name after she heard his voice. She opened her eyes and expected to be already in the other world with her husband. "Hi, Chi-chi. Sorry to disappoint you, but lucky for us you're still alive!"

The family was reunited for the first time in ten years, though not for long. Soon they started talking too much and Yamoshi felt obligated to interrupt. Seeing that happy family caused him a little more anger. He descended from the sky and Goku stepped up to fight him alone. "I'm sorry for keeping you waiting. To be honest I've been waiting to meet you for a while now, Yamoshi." Goku said.

"I've been promised the opportunity to fight the 'Super Saiyan' of this current century. By the looks of it, it is you, isn't it? I can see it in your eyes. No matter how calmly or kindly you act, that hatred deep inside doesn't go away." Yamoshi said. As he did so, Goku took a deep breath, and so mr. nice guy was gone. His frown was deeply ominous; exactly like Yamoshi. He said there was no time to waste, and so Goku summoned that same hatred into his skin.

The others watched as Goku became the Super Saiyan; that recognizable energy that feels like pure evil. Now the first and second Super Saiyans in history stare at each other. Their insurmountable power is enough to make Beerus very curious. But before he could start Goku, took a better look at Yamoshi and saw his missing arm. He had an idea.

Goku immediately slashed his right arm off, picked it up from the ground and threw it to Gohan, saying that he will need it for when the battle is over. Goku wished to fight Yamoshi with just raw power; no tricks, no martial arts and no cowardly play. Goku's guts made Yamoshi smile, and he accepted the challenge. The battle begins, and Gohan and Goten are forced to fly away with Chi-chi so they don't get killed. The two Saiyans did nothing but hit each other again and again for an entire hour. They would fly around to keep a flow of movement, but they always remained at the same stalemate. Their fists colliding sounded like explosions. The sheer brightness of their energy made the surrounding sky grow darker. All over the world there were battles shaking the planet to its core, and this was one of the most brutal ones.

The winners of any of these battles would be anyone's guess. Diabolical enemies lurk all around, and even the Z-warriors from heaven found themselves in a pinch against them. But through those hours of intense battle, it didn't take long for one of them to find its conclusion.

Buu forced himself to fight Dabura and Bibidi alone. They were way more wise of his strange powers than anyone else, and fighting creatively didn't work right. Bibidi had an incredible assortment of knowledge about how Buu worked as well as magic spells to counter Buu's abilities. Not to mention, but Dabura was crazy strong; much more of a problem to Buu than he was three years ago. He struggled to fight back, but eventually he got some inside help again. Grand Supreme Kai kept appearing in illusions that only Buu was capable of seeing, and he began teaching Buu how to use a technique to fight against Bibidi. It didn't take long until he was able to execute it to perfection. Buu put his two index fingers together, aimed at Bibidi like holding a weapon, said a weird chant and shot some kind of colorful lightning bolt at him. That attack went straight through the demonic barrier and hit Bibidi directly. It didn't kill him, but it did the next best thing. That technique completely removed Bibidi's magic powers. He was reduced to a tiny, grouchy little minion that could only react to the battle ahead. Still, Buu couldn't defeat Dabura on his own. The battle was starting to not be fun for Buu anymore.

Videl secluded herself too far away; somewhere where the noise from all the battles wasn't a problem. She was deeply meditating to try to once again arrive at the core of her being. She has done this several times in the last three years, always feeling a distinct presence that hides inside her mind, but never being able to reach it. She was hoping it would be the answer for what Buu was asking. But the pain from the battle and her worries made it hard to concentrate. To her luck she came across a friendly face.

Dende and Popo had arrived. They looked pretty beaten up but thankfully they are still living. Dende healed her wounds and soon told her to concentrate again; this time he will help her. Putting his hand on her forehead, Dende accompanied Videl to the depths of her soul, and used his magic to break all the barriers on the way. Soon she could see this blue hue in the void. She entered it, leaving Dende behind.

When Videl opened her eyes, she appeared in a completely white room that seemed to go on forever. In front of her was just three things; a comfy couch, a square television, and an old man who's complaining about it having lost signal. Upon hearing his voice and seeing his weird appearance, Videl realized it was elder Kai, dressed in slippers, blue & white pants and a bathrobe. He looked even more bum-ish than he was originally.

She was surprised to see him, but he was not; it actually explains why he couldn't see the outside anymore. "What are you doing inside my mind?" she asked.

"I don't know exactly. Like I said, I was the first one to ever do this; I had no idea what kind of effects it would cause outside of the power you gained. Ever since the ritual I was able to watch what was happening from here." Old Kai said. He instantly summoned a cup of coffee for him and Videl. "I got to see the whole battle after that. Buu kicked your ass even with all the power I gave you, but thankfully you still managed to help with the victory. I've never seen such lucky mortals in all my millions of years. From then on it got really boring- All you kept doing was training all day!… At least I got to watch you playing doctor with your boyfriend a few times, so it wasn't a total loss-"

Videl pinched his lips. "I'm going to pretend you didn't say that- listen… old man, I need that power again to fight Beerus, please tell me I can summon it a second time!" she said, letting go of his mouth.

"Straight to the chase, I see. You surely can't believe how much I waited for the day mortals could fight back against him. That stinky mutt was the reason I quit my job in the first place. Can you imagine how frustrating it is to remake an entire universe from the bottom up TWICE? I go so far as to say that we created the ritual with this moment in mind." Old Kai said. Suddenly he got really somber and looked off into the distant white void. "But… I'm kind of scared now that I think about it. I don't know if this will be enough to defeat him even at its maximum capacity. And besides, I think this might be the last piece of existence I have left. The last bit of my immortal soul and mind. I wish to… at least be there to see if we win or not…"

A dense silence echoed around the void. Eventually old Kai realized what he was saying and shook his head disapprovingly. "What am I saying? Heheh… I'm an old ass being with dozens of millions of years under my belt, and here we have a little girl of twenty years who's more willing to sacrifice everything than me. I guess I'll live my last wish to the next generation."

Old Kai turned around and offered his hand to Videl. "Ready for one last shot, girl?"

"… Thank you." Videl replied.

The two shook hands, and the white void slowly turned into blue. The energy hue started surrounding them until she could no longer see.

Videl opened her eyes again outside, now they had that light blue glow shining through her pupils. Her hair spiked up a bit as suddenly that godly energy was released from within. Everyone around the planet felt that; it bungled their senses to feel it all of the sudden. Gohan said, "Videl… she did it."

She stood up from the ground and thanked Dende for the help. He fell asleep from tiredness and so she asked that Mr. Popo guard him there. And so Videl blasted off into the sky. Her power didn't seem to be dwindling at all this time. She felt like going straight after Beerus, but first she decided to go help Majin Buu. It took her a few seconds to go back there. The Majins looked back as they sensed that power, and saw the least likely person wielding it.

She told them to stop harassing Buu, and that she would fight in his place. Upon seeing her, Buu felt so sure of her victory that he simply laid on his back and fell asleep. Dabura couldn't even feel the true heights of this power; it was insane to him. Still, he had to win if it meant being revived, so he pulled every trick in his book to try and beat her; from summoning lesser demons, to hallucinations and even his stone spit attack. However, he wasn't just fighting Videl. Turns out that the ultimate power brought her another power that she wasn't aware of before. She had the ability to create things quite like any Supreme Kai. She just needed to think of it and it would appear right out of thin air.

The battle ended as Videl got a little creative, as she summoned a giant meteor of the strongest metal in the universe ten times plus, and chucked it at Dabura. He was flattened like a pancake, and he pretty much ran out of energy at that point. In his last attempt he got really menacing; stating that if she kills him again, centuries upon centuries of the royal demon family will come for her and her descendants for revenge, until the end of time. Videl kept picking stuff off her ears the entire time; once she had enough, she pointed her finger at Dabura. Suddenly a rainbow-colored blast shoots out of her finger, hitting Dabura and once again turning him into a cookie.

She picked him up from the ground and took a bite out of it from sheer curiosity. It tasted like someone dumped salt instead of sugar, so she opened a portal to hell herself and threw him inside. Now only Bibidi stood behind, and he was scared shitless. Just her eyes told exactly what she wanted. Bibidi bowed, excused himself and then jumped inside the portal on his own accord. Ain't no way he's messing with this lady.

With these enemies defeated, Videl only had one thing to do. She used Kai-kai to teleport herself directly in front of Beerus. He was just enjoying food at Bulma's party when suddenly Videl appeared on top the table, making all the food fall over as she landed.

"You mortals have no idea how much you amuse me…" Beerus said with a smile.

"You know why I'm here." Videl said.

"Yeah, I figured. I guess I might use… 50% to deal with you. More than that would not be necessary." Beerus replied. "Let's go somewhere else first. I still want all this food in one piece once I'm done with you-"

Videl suddenly kicked Beerus in the face, sending him flying through the air; almost to the other side of the planet. The two now found themselves in some high mountain range. "Is this far enough for you?" Videl asked.

"Here is perfect."
